It's the holiday season.
Here are some interesting breakdowns on our meetups which happeneded last month.
45 meetup events around Australia with the help of 35 organisers. We finally managed to have a Tasmania meetup this year, although only 4 people came.
1,124 check-in sessions from 788 ozbargainers.
- Highest checked in was again the Fortress Melbourne meetup — 94 registered, and 86 turned up.
- We have quite a few small meetups with single-digit participants. Hobart and Toowoomba both had only 4 people coming.
- Many of the participants aren't active on OzBargain at all. With the Box Hill event, 36.7% of participants (18 out of 49) have never commented on OzBargain this year. Over 30% at the Fortress Melbourne event. Just to highlight that the meetups might be the only interaction some of them might have with other ozbargainers.
- Total cost reimbursed is $47,483.10, which is a huge increase from last year's (more than double the cost).
- Despite increasing the budget, there are still quite a few events gone over budget. There are also quite a few that are exactly at $45/person as they seek extra payments from the participants.
- Cheapest event was again Ippudo @ Chatswood at $18.06/person, and 2nd cheapest was Inglewood Coffee Roastery Tour at $24.79/person
- Total cost of T-shirts + postage is over $6,000 on top of events
- I still have a bunch of shirts in Melbourne and gave some away at a non-sponsored meetup last week. Might have another one as people keep asking for t-shirts but it will be in the new year.
- Free Gaza Solidarity Sticker Delivered after Contact from Amnesty International Australia garnered 69 reports from the community, roughly 1.5% of all reports for the month.
- The 2nd biggest shopping event Boxing Day is coming up and the deals have already started.

It took less than 10 minutes to get +30 votes and 19 minutes & 19 seconds to reach +100 votes. Are we expecting to see more emoji's in OzBargain comments because of the popularity of this keyboard?
