A little too Jerry Seinfeld for me. I like the other colours but these are white white.

    • +3

These black ones are $126 so if the code works $106.

Edit - Never mind, sold out. More here - Men's Nike Shoes Sale

    • +15

dont fret - upon wearing they will be grey grey in a day or two…then dark grey grey in a week or so

    • +2

Can barely see the shoes with the background of the picture

    • Maybe check them out in store, probably fine but yes will get dirty easily. Just get some other colourways, black and white is good, still got a new pair of 40s I haven't got to.

    • -3

Runners with jeans is always a fashion fail, no matter the colour.

      • +1

The fashion police has entered the chat

        • +1

Tell all them homeboys and sneaker heads out there rocking those kicks with jeans to pack it up!

          • -2

@wavesgreen: He said runners not sneakers. I agree with that statement.

            • @first in line: jumper vs sweater

              • -2

@G-rig: Except there's a difference between runners and sneakers. Running shoes are designed for performance, sneakers are for casual everyday wear.

                • @first in line: cheap running shoes aren't designed for performance.
Obviously people are just talking about aesthetics.

                  Not too worried about nitpicking.

      • +1

@FXx - If you feel like this about sneakers with jeans then it’s a scary thought what you must think about people who wear sneakers with business trousers/attire?

        • Depends on the sneakers depends on the jeans.
A blanket statement like that is a bit silly though.

Maybe he wears track suit pants like the eshays.
Black leather shoes and jeans look worse.

These and the black pair in the link posted above look like $15-$20 K-Mart sneakers with a Nike tick on them.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Got one

  • +6

Pegasus, the comfiest runners I've ever owned, got the quadruple black for $20 extra, thx OP

Well they won't show the dirt. Good option.

      • +1

or buy the white pair and black spray them

    • Got the same. Easy to match with jeans

      • +3

        The classic Junners

        • +1

only hardcore runners run in jeans :P

  • +4

Is there a website where ppl rate and compare all those kicks like fragrantica but for shoes?

    • +5

Yes try a website called YouTube.

    • +6

Meaningless. Statistically, the vast majority of people just rate whatever they have bought 5/5, partly because most don't have the context or knowledge for objective comparisons, which rating scores are supposed to be. Stick to dedicated reviewing channels/websites.

    • +5

      Yes, Runrepeat.

      https://runrepeat.com/nike-pegasus-41

These have an audience score of 88%

      • Good call, wait for some reviews, the 39 and 40 have been good (and very similar except some upper lining finishes).

Nice score. Pegasus continue to be like a solid choice for the price ($80-120).

Luckily my size is OOS now, got plenty and would go for a different colourway.

  • +2

Thanks OP, got the black on black 41s for $120

  • -3

    Are these refund approved?

  • +6

Have the 40's in white. Like the look of them and use them for walking quite a bit, but don't love them for running. I find them a bit narrow and uncomfortable. Yes they get dirty fast but you can throw them in the wash and they come up nice again. I think Nike are overrated for running shoes, Asics, New Balance and Brooks are much more comfortable for me.

    • +3

Yeah the thing I read in all the reviews for these is that they are very narrow. Need them in Wide, actually Extra Wide.

      • I thought they made a wide version.

        • Most models have a Wide and/or Extra Wide size. Some you can only get from the US.

      • Not very narrow just normal (but most nikes are a bit narrow as a brand). Just get new balance if you have wide feet.

        • +1

I wear Nike and have wide feet (sz 13) so I always read reviews specifically for comments on narrowness. These have a lot.

I basically have to try on Nike before buying them and 90% of my collection I have bought in the USA and are Extra Wide.

          • @wavesgreen: That's fair - best to try on, all models a bit different.
They certainly aren't a wide shoe just normal/narrow nike.
The infinity series have more room in the toe box.

            • +1

@G-rig: It's the curse I have in having large feet. I always have trouble in Australia finding a size and width in store. Usually I can only find one but not the other.

So I do all my shoe shopping when I'm in the US, I'm there frequently and they are half the price as in Australia anyway.

              • @wavesgreen: Good idea just do that. Guess have to stick to brands that fit.

    • Do you have something you chuck your shoes in for the washing machine, or do you just chuck them straight in?

      • Sounds about right to hose the shoes to get rid of the dirt then chuck it in the washing machine would be fine.

      • Just chuck them straight in with inner sole and laces removed

      • +1

Spray them and spot/clean before they get too far gone.

        • +1

Honestly this is key. Just small cleaning and regular maintaining, not letting them get hammered and then trying to somehow miraculously claw them back. Has kept all mine in essentially near-new condition.

The power of just a damp cloth and a soft brush is genuinely astounding.

  • I like white shoes but prefer white runners for casual wear for the comfort. Would this be a good casual running shoe for the price and look?

  • +2

    https://www.runningshoesguru.com/reviews/road/nike-pegasus-4…
i guess if you only walk its good, steer clear if running as theres better options elsewhere although significantly more expensive

    • I'd disagree as a Podiatrist who actually runs…

It's a good budget daily driver. By no means is it a super trainer. pace or race shoe.
It'll do the job, but it's not particularly good at anything.

      • No one has said it's a race shoe or elite level marathon shoe, not many of us are elite, more than does the job for $100 (as long as suit your feet).

Good to get feet sized up anyway ay athlete's foot etc in case your feet are in need of some different support other than neutral.

      • What are your recommendations as a Podiatrist, @HerpinDerp? For walking, running, gym etc.

        • +2

Walking: Try: Hoka Clifton / Bondi, Asics: GT2000, Brooks: Ghost, NB860/880
Running: Tricky, depends on pace and distance, technique, not going to list anything carbon plated: My current is a Asics Superblast 2 (good luck finding stock), Nimbus 25, NB1080, Rebel V4, Ghost MAX, Saucony Echelon
Gym: Feet, Nike Metcon (if you like yuck shoes and have tight calves), anything generic, stable and firm.

These lists are very very condensed and subjective. There are some shoes that fit multiple categories or shine in weird areas.

          • @HerpinDerp: Good list, sometimes it's worth paying more.
I got the gel nimbus 26 but still like the Pegasus for walking and light runs.

What do you think of this new style of massive cushioning? I don't think they are made to last long but it's like walking on clouds.

            • @G-rig: Definitely worth paying more for some shoes. The Nimbus 26 is excellent. It definitely doesn't have the longest life and is not suited to overweight individuals.

It's all about energy return/preservation of momentum. The results speak for themselves. Look at the Adidas Pro Evo lol, absolutely the best performance but technically dead after one marathon.

That said, some of these shoes will not mechanically dope you if you're a slow runner or have poor technique.

  • These are very good shoes. The heel support is brilliant and extremely stable on rough ground.

  • Thanks OP, bought a pair of 40s in black white crimson for $69 a while back and they are my favourite shoes for the gym and walking. Been waiting for a special on a white pair, they actually had my size so got a pair.

    • +1

Can I ask where did you get it for $69? Been looking to buy a new Pegasus for a while as the old one is absolutely trashed. But cannot even find a price near $80..

  • -1

If it were me, I'd spend the extra and get a superior shoe like this - https://activefeet.com.au/collections/sale/products/nike-rea…

    • @FXx - That’s a pretty ugly shoe in your link, unless I did running as a sports activity I wouldn’t buy them. For every day sneakers Nike Air Max 95s and 97s are my choice.

      • The got black & black/white in Infinities.. i got all black infinity 3.. they feel a bit more urgent with the roll forward and more space in fore foot (but still go to a narrow point). They don't feel as stable.

My vote is AM1 and AM90, club c85,Jordan lows from me for everyday sneakers (and of course Peggys).

      • Well, he did link a runner, which the Pegasus is, but has been adopted as a sportstyle shoe.

  • Bruh no size 15

  • anddd it's gone

  • +1

Thanks OP, these arrived so quick and 41 that bit more comfy than the 39's. Very happy
