    If you use a drink bottle every day and want something quality for a bit more money, I highly recommend the CamelBak Chute bottle for ~$50 from Amazon.

    It has an offset hinge on the lid so it doesn’t touch your nose when you drink and it even has a magnet to hold it out of the way when it’s open. It’s the best.

    That said, $49.99 RRP is grossly exaggerated. Mountain Designs was acquired by Spotlight and exclusively sold by Anaconda, it's basically their home brand.

    Reverse image search can easily find other similar looking bottles, so they are rebadged.

    Does anyone know if magnesium drinks react with the insulation inside? I used to pop Voost tablets in the insulated bottle (Takeya one) and noticed a layer inside after using just for two times.

    I amazed these style bottles sell, and particularly with an outdoor company branding.
    The 2nd insulating wall adds so much weight to the bottle, and is rarely used. Most of the time you just want room temp water that you can carry with you.
    The aluminum and stainless steel bottles I use weigh so much less and make me happy every day because I don't have to carry excess weight.
    But if you do genuinely carry hot/cold liquids - a bargain!

      You’re right re: weight if camping but they are good for everything else.

      For some reason, I find that the metal single skin drink bottle lids are smaller so no good for the dishwasher.

      And plastic drink bottles aren’t sturdy.

    Also insulated and powder coated.

    It comes with a practical sized carry handle which is handy.

    It’s half price currently ($16) and ~every month or so at Colesworth, so great value.

      I have the Decor and it's an awesome bottle.
      I like it better than my mountain design as it's also one piece. The MD shine metal part on the lower section is a separate piece.

        I didn’t realise it was separate. Can’t tell from the photo.

        The decor is well made and is great value at half price. The only thing I think they could improve on is the cap for the spout.

        The cap could be bigger to make it easier to grip and also make it one piece.

        The have a metal cover over the plastic cap which looks cheap and is unnecessary.

        The metal cover has come off as the glue failed.
        Decor customer service was great and sent me a new cover/lid.

    Got mine today.

    Quality is good but not great but very good for $10.

    On the bottle it says ‘hand wash recommended’. On the label it says ‘dishwasher safe’. Which one is it Mountain design?
