Hi OzBargain,

Thank you for your support on our recent deals, we have been bombarded and have been all hands on deck fulfilling orders. We are coming towards the end of the Powered by MSI promotion, final few system builds to take advantage of before it's gone. Fantastic value on the 9700X for productivity-hungry machines and 4080 SUPER for people who have a tighter budget. An ATX large airflow case as well for people that want a larger airflow focussed case but still compact. The 9700X boasts extremely well on multicore performance tasks and is much better than the 7800X3D! This rig would be awesome for video editing, CPU-intensive tasks like Blender and gaming! For a more detailed comparison and information, this video is great to take a look at! Or if you're on a budget and want a 4080 SUPER the 7500F is still an awesome choice for gaming! A bonus US$225 Steam gift card ($344 roughly in AUD) and bonus game from NVIDIA as well on each purchase to really sweeten the deal and lower your cost even more!

  • Holy smokes what a great build / deal!!! Nice work!

    • Thank you for your support! 😁

  • Nice build. I got a Nebula 9700X build over a year ago and it’s been great. My 4070ti is fine but I wish I’d gone 4080 at the time like this one is.

    • why, are you playing in 4k

    • Haha that's awesome, do you mean maybe 7700X? 😁

      9700X just came out!

Anything we can do for you please let us know.

  • +1

Bit of a niche question. If I'm looking for a set-up that's designed for radiology remote reporting, should I lean towards a more powerful CPU or GPU. For context at work our computers use i7-8700 and Quadro P2000.

    • What programs are being used for this?

    • This will depend on what programs you're using, from that you can determine whether you require a more powerful GPU or CPU. Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with radiology remote reporting software.

  • How loud is this computer (Havoc - MSI RTX 4080 SUPER OC) when running games?

    • Not that loud however will be noticeable noise from the GPU when under load as the fans are a moving component. Noise is mostly suppressed from the glass side panel as opposed to mesh and system cooling is good with the front mesh panel and rear exhaust.

  • Hello, I am planning on purchasing a PC during black friday for my partner at around the $1000 - $1200 mark. Will nebula have any promotions next week that are around this price point and also utilise the MSI promotion? Thanks

  • Is it possible to Build my own 5 MSI components PC and claim the $225USD steam gift card?

    • +1

No, from what ive read, it has to be built by an MSI partner

    • Negative, it needs to be six MSI components along with it being purchased from an eligible MSI partner as a full system build.

  • +2

Can you add a matx case option?

    • Not for this system build, MSI case options are slim for mATX and 4080 SUPER is large in length. It will not fit in a MSI MAG FORGE M100R.

  • +1

Can we have this build but with 9800x3d?

    • Unfortunately not, no stock left on 9800X3D to run a deal at this stage to take advantage of the MSI promotion which is ending end of this month.

  • May get negged for this but… $2700 and a 750W PSU?

    • you only need more for a 4090
and this PSU is cheap, i would upgrade

      • +1

Not saying you're wrong, but a 850W gold MSI PSU would cost them an extra $20 max to include and is better for futureproofing. I know I'm flogging a dead horse here…

        • +1

Well they have the 850W Gold MSI PSU upgrade, but there is a "1" before the "20" lol

        • The mobo is low-end too, which is a bit annoying for a future upgrade path. I'm resigned to it for these bargain deals.
At least it's better than the first couple of prebuilts I bought online; they both had some no-name brand PSU which blew up within a few years.

    • 750W PSU suffices for this system build, the 9700X is extremely power efficient for its performance. The Max power draw for the 4080 SUPER is 320W (excluding power spikes), we've never had an issue with a 750W PSU for this system build. Especially if it's a tier-one and reliable PSU. If you face any power related issues it's our full responsibility to provide a remedy.

      • I accept that, and your position is understandable.
Frankly, the value you provide isn't bad, but I do think charging $120 extra for something that really should be in the PC anyway feels like gouging.

  • +1

Any potential for a 4070 super and 32gb ram build for under $1450?

    • Not possible at this stage, the closest would be with 8400F and 16GB RAM - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/871629 at $1498. Can only go lower if you go AM4 which is not favourable and popular here. You can factor in the $120USD Steam gift card to lower your cost to be below $1450.

  • Thoughts on B650M motherboards

    • +1

Currently the best value mid-range motherboard that won't break the bank and does its job.

  • Looking mainly for sim flying mainly MSFS and DCS world, how does this 9700x go vs 7800X3D go for gaming? It appears to be close in performance?

    • Very close in performance, will ultimately come down to your budget and needs. 9700X is a fantastic option for all-around performance and will perform better than the 7800X3D in productivity tasks that may come up here and there. It only falls short slightly to the 7800X3D in gaming. Considering its price point, it definitely has a place in the market and should be strongly considered. The 7800X3D is now around $200 more than the 9700X, considering this the 9700X has better value at this stage.
