Edit 25/11/2024 7:37PM: Thank you all for your support on this deal! We have sold out of this system build, if you have made an order stock has been secured and allocated. Please allow an extra few days for turnaround. Our new estimated despatch times are 7-13 business days.

Hi OzBargain,

Thank you for your support on our recent deals, we have been bombarded and have been all hands on deck fulfilling orders. We are coming towards the end of the Powered by MSI promotion, final few system builds to take advantage of before it's gone. Fantastic value on the 9700X for productivity-hungry machines and 4080 SUPER for people who have a tighter budget. An ATX large airflow case as well for people that want a larger airflow focussed case but still compact. The 9700X boasts extremely well on multicore performance tasks and is much better than the 7800X3D! This rig would be awesome for video editing, CPU-intensive tasks like Blender and gaming! For a more detailed comparison and information, this video is great to take a look at! Or if you're on a budget and want a 4080 SUPER the 7500F is still an awesome choice for gaming! A bonus US$225 Steam gift card ($344 roughly in AUD) and bonus game from NVIDIA as well on each purchase to really sweeten the deal and lower your cost even more!

Holy smokes what a great build / deal!!! Nice work!

    • Thank you for your support! 😁

  • Nice build. I got a Nebula 9700X build over a year ago and it’s been great. My 4070ti is fine but I wish I’d gone 4080 at the time like this one is.

    • why, are you playing in 4k

      • 38” ultrawide 144Hz, which is about 3k I think

        • What games can't you run at 144hz that you would with a 4080
There isn't that much difference, not any noticeable difference that is , 10-20 frames
          You can't see that

          • +1

@botchie: Well I was playing Uncharted on the weekend and getting about 96Hz. DLSS set to “Balanced”.

But my main point was that the 4080 was an option on my build for only a few hundred dollars more, and it would have been worth it compared the cost of buying the card separately.

            • @rockyroad: you wouldnt upgrade form 4070ti to 4080 - that makes no sense - just wait for next gen and do it then
if your buying a card now i wouldnt bother with 4080 - doesnt make financial sense
spend the extra $$ and buy the new AMD cpu

    • Haha that's awesome, do you mean maybe 7700X? 😁

      9700X just came out!

Anything we can do for you please let us know.

      • Yes, my bad 7700X

  • +1

Bit of a niche question. If I'm looking for a set-up that's designed for radiology remote reporting, should I lean towards a more powerful CPU or GPU. For context at work our computers use i7-8700 and Quadro P2000.

    • What programs are being used for this?

      • Mix between browser based and dedicated PACS software like InteleViewer.

    • +1

This will depend on what programs you're using, from that you can determine whether you require a more powerful GPU or CPU. Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with radiology remote reporting software.

  • How loud is this computer (Havoc - MSI RTX 4080 SUPER OC) when running games?

    • Not that loud however will be noticeable noise from the GPU when under load as the fans are a moving component. Noise is mostly suppressed from the glass side panel as opposed to mesh and system cooling is good with the front mesh panel and rear exhaust.

  • Hello, I am planning on purchasing a PC during black friday for my partner at around the $1000 - $1200 mark. Will nebula have any promotions next week that are around this price point and also utilise the MSI promotion? Thanks

    • Yes, have some live now here with 8700F https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/876360 and here for tighter budgets with 8400F https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/871629.

      • thank you, hopefully they will still be in stock next week as thats when my pay-cycle hits!

      • -2

you lied. went to purchase the 8700F 4060ti and the coupon didnt work.

        • I don't think I lied Lachlan… I don't have infinite stock unfortunately, once sold out I will have to mark out of stock. On the day of reply, I mentioned it was live as of then however I can't predict the future. I can only apologise for this.

We've sold out of the Powered by MSI systems at this stage sorry :(. Only non PBM systems are available for now.

          • @Nebula PC: my fault boss, I crashed out when I saw it was out of stock, bought a different PC from you guys though and looking forward to it

  • Is it possible to Build my own 5 MSI components PC and claim the $225USD steam gift card?

    • +2

No, from what ive read, it has to be built by an MSI partner

    • Negative, it needs to be six MSI components along with it being purchased from an eligible MSI partner as a full system build.

  • +2

Can you add a matx case option?

    • Not for this system build, MSI case options are slim for mATX and 4080 SUPER is large in length. It will not fit in a MSI MAG FORGE M100R.

  • +1

Can we have this build but with 9800x3d?

    • Unfortunately not, no stock left on 9800X3D to run a deal at this stage to take advantage of the MSI promotion which is ending end of this month.

      • Can you build it without the processor?
I can see its in stock at centre com

        • Unfortunately not, we will need to supply all components to warrant the full system - especially core components like CPU, GPU and RAM. It will be troublesome if an issue arises and the CPU isn't supplied by us. All 9800X3D systems for OzBargain are currently sold out, they have been chewed through and we are unable to fulfil anymore.

I would recommend a 9700X system! Excellent value on that CPU :).

  • May get negged for this but… $2700 and a 750W PSU?

    • you only need more for a 4090
and this PSU is cheap, i would upgrade

      • +2

Not saying you're wrong, but a 850W gold MSI PSU would cost them an extra $20 max to include and is better for futureproofing. I know I'm flogging a dead horse here…

        • +1

Well they have the 850W Gold MSI PSU upgrade, but there is a "1" before the "20" lol

        • The mobo is low-end too, which is a bit annoying for a future upgrade path. I'm resigned to it for these bargain deals.
At least it's better than the first couple of prebuilts I bought online; they both had some no-name brand PSU which blew up within a few years.

          • @Donners22: Yeah these aren't bad components, and I understand corners have to be cut to get there. Ultimately it's clear MSI is incentivising using their worst selling stock in prebuilts to get rid of them

            • @Senate 69: For future proofing you get a better CPU, 850w psu and plus mb

    • 750W PSU suffices for this system build, the 9700X is extremely power efficient for its performance. The Max power draw for the 4080 SUPER is 320W (excluding power spikes), we've never had an issue with a 750W PSU for this system build. Especially if it's a tier-one and reliable PSU. If you face any power related issues it's our full responsibility to provide a remedy.

      • I accept that, and your position is understandable.
Frankly, the value you provide isn't bad, but I do think charging $120 extra for something that really should be in the PC anyway feels like gouging.

        • Understand, it was configured to be priced from the A650BN instead of the A750BN. I have updated the price to reflect the correct upgrade pricing to A850GL from A750BN 😁. As much as I wish my cost difference was max $20 for the A850GL from A750BN it unfortunately is not as we are getting bulk buy discounts on the base model hence the larger gap compared to the retail price comparison of the two SKUs.

  • +1

Any potential for a 4070 super and 32gb ram build for under $1450?

    • Not possible at this stage, the closest would be with 8400F and 16GB RAM - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/871629 at $1498. Can only go lower if you go AM4 which is not favourable and popular here. You can factor in the $120USD Steam gift card to lower your cost to be below $1450.

  • +1

    Thoughts on B650M motherboards

    • +1

Currently the best value mid-range motherboard that won't break the bank and does its job.

      • +1

since they have only 2 ram slots, are they considered good quality?

        • Yes, with the AM5 platform, it's very difficult to run at good speeds and stable with four DIMM modules. Most of the time the system won't post and have compatibility issues. The QVL list is very very small for motherboards to support four DIMM modules.

  • Looking mainly for sim flying mainly MSFS and DCS world, how does this 9700x go vs 7800X3D go for gaming? It appears to be close in performance?

    • Very close in performance, will ultimately come down to your budget and needs. 9700X is a fantastic option for all-around performance and will perform better than the 7800X3D in productivity tasks that may come up here and there. It only falls short slightly to the 7800X3D in gaming. Considering its price point, it definitely has a place in the market and should be strongly considered. The 7800X3D is now around $200 more than the 9700X, considering this the 9700X has better value at this stage.

  • When do you expect to have the 9800x3D back in stock?

    • No ETA at this stage that I can promise sorry.

  • Perfect for MSFS2024

    • Yup!!

  • Nice Deal! Will probably be purchasing this one, however, it would have been a purchase on the spot if the 7800x3d was an option. Will the 7800x3d be available for this deal? Just curious.

Also, with the compatibility with the MSI B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI and the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X. PCpartpicker says says something about the BIOS version 7E24v14. Will the motherboard be updated with the BIOS necessary to support the CPU?

    Thanks.

    • 9700X is a fantastic option for all-around performance and will perform better than the 7800X3D in productivity tasks that may come up here and there. • Can I ask if the system comes with windows pre installed but just not activated? Or no software pre installed?
    Thanks

    • Unfortunately not, we are unable to install Windows without a license purchased.

      • +1

How do you do the benchmark/stress testing then? Do you install a copy of windows do the tests, then wipe it?

        • We use an external OS to test all systems, all core components are thoroughly stress tested before depatch.

      • Do you test the components before shipping? How is this done so you are confident in shipping a gaming ready system?

        Thanks

  • How can I buy this build without GPU? I don't need gpu

    • Not possible at this stage unfortunately, all systems will need to come with a GPU.

  • +1

Why don't you guys do any AMD GPU builds as these are more cost efficient? I think it's probs due to the special whole sale/bulk deals Nvidia is giving you or the all MSI thing for the free Steam gift card, right?

In all honesty what do you reckon is the most cost effective build you guys are selling right now and would it be wise to wait till December until I buy one of your prebuilds? Idk why I am expecting an unbiased answer but worth a shot.

    Thanks in advance!

    • +1

There are no MSI AMD GPUs in the Australian market to my knowledge, if the GPU isn't from MSI you won't be eligible for the Steam gift card promotion.

We have AMD GPU system build options available also with GIGABYTE that is eligible for a Prezzee E Gift card though!

These will likely be the best deals of the year.

  • Bought a 7800/4080 system from Nebula - awesome rig, 10/10 value.
Just beware that RGB fans are not ARGB - gotta do something with that rainbow circus :D

    • Thank you for your support legend! You're awesome 😁.

  • Argh, you got me. I just bought the 4080 deal. My first new build in a decade (albeit I upgraded the mobo and CPU of my previous one four years ago).

Now I just have to close my eyes every time I see a new computer deal here for the next few years!

    • Thank you for your support! ❤️

  • Hey Nebula, do your PC's come with a tpm module installed? Also, is the N5 compatable with an extra 240 or 360 mm radiator in addition to the 3 pre installed fans?

    • +1

No TPM module is installed as this is not part of the system build, you are welcome to add it if you'd like though. Yes, only some select 240mm AIOs, clearance is tight as it's a small form factor case. 360mm will not fit.

      • Would a 240mm radiator with the total dimensions of 276X120X52 (Gamdias AURA GL240 V2 240mm) fit? I'm pretty sure it would as it is just smaller than the MSI MAG M240 that you offer, but just checking as the liquid upgrade you offer is a bit pricey. I am just checking for another 4070S deal that is active but has it's comment section closed for some reason.

        • +1

I am not familiar with that AIO sorry, I can't confirm. However, MSI M240 240mm and NZXT Kraken 240mm fits nice and snug. Please use that information with a grain of salt, not all specifications listed online for models are 100% accurate.

          • @Nebula PC: Okay, so if it is the same size as a listed cooler it should fit?

            • +1

@Average gamer: Yes in theory however I can't guarantee as I am not familiar with this model. There may be other factors that contribute to fitment that I am not aware of. I hope you understand! Not trying to dodge your question, I don't want to give you the incorrect information especially if we haven't used that cooler before.

  • Finally pulled the trigger on the 4080 deal. Upgrading from my PC from 2016!

    • Thank you for your support! ❤️

  • Any more 7500F and 4070 Super deals coming up ? Looking at buying before end of the month ?

    • Current deals are the best of the best with the Steam gift card promotion at this stage with the 7500F.

  • Hi Nebula, any deals coming through this black friday? Been checking everyday for one your deals to pop up

    • That will be all for Black Friday, we have been inundated with work and have been all hands on deck fulfilling orders. I have been absent for this reason, I have been doing everything possible to help workshop get orders out faster.

Are we getting deals similar like this one for Christmas?

    • Won't be happening unfortunately as the MSI Steam gift card promotion has now ended on the 30th of November. We had the deals live as long as we could.

  • +2

Any idea when the next deals will come through? :(

    • +2

I had the same thought. Actively looking for another gaming PC and there hasn’t been too much posted since Black Friday.

  • +1

Anyone get their MSI steam gift cards. It's been 15 days since I applied :/

  • +2

I got my MSI steam gift cards today, when I entered them all in it came to a total of 104$ AUD…I thought it was suppose to be US$225?

    • I have replied to your PM, if the form was filled correctly this shouldn't have happened. Please raise a ticket to MSI explaining your situation.

It is $225USD for six MSI components.

  • Can we expect some similar deals with the rtx 4080/4070 soon?

Terrible Communication and Delivery – Avoid at All Costs!

Purchased a PC from Nebula with a promised Steam gift card promotion. It’s now January, and the gift card STILL hasn’t been processed. I’ve been waiting since late November. MSI shut down on the 20th and reopened on the 2nd of January, but Nebula delayed the delivery until December 16th – conveniently missing the Steam promotional deadline of December 15th.

They had three weeks to resolve this, well within their “estimated delivery,” but gave me an impossible deadline to claim the promotion. Worse still, they don’t bother to inform you about shipping or updates unless you chase them down. Even then, good luck getting through – they don’t answer their phones.

For an order costing over $3,000, this level of service is absolutely unacceptable. The lack of professionalism and respect for customers is astounding. I regret trusting Nebula PC and strongly recommend steering clear of their poorly managed operation.
