OZB_BLACKFRIDAYPBM_$500OFF

Hi OzBargain,

Lots of demand for new mid-range and new 9000 series CPUs that won't break the bank and have that extra CPU performance. Banger Black Friday Powered by MSI deals today for people who need that extra CPU grunt for multipurpose performance for both gaming and productivity. The 9700X is excellent value now at its new price point with half the TDP of the 7800X3D running cooler and drawing less power than 7000 series CPUs. With the new SRP of the 7800X3D at now $698 the 9700X has superb value considering how close its performance is to the 7800X3D for over $165 less (as of today) in gaming. The 9700X boasts extremely well on multicore performance tasks and is much better than the 7800X3D! This rig would be awesome for video editing, CPU intensive tasks like Blender and gaming! For a more detailed comparison and information, this video is great to take a look at! A bonus US$225 Steam gift card ($342 roughly in AUD) and two free games from AMD as well on each purchase to really sweeten the deal and lower your cost even more!

  • Good to see a more balanced system on offer. I've passed this onto my friend who will be doing gaming and video editing :)

    • +2

Yep, trying to test the waters on the OzBargain market feedback for a more balanced and CPU with more power. We try our best to cater for as much of the market as possible.

      • +1

I imagine that these deals won't do as well as the GPU-centric offers as there are far more gamers than editors / productivity users.

If you could get good bulk pricing on something like a 7700/X CPU paired with a decent GPU however it could be a good middle ground for gamers and productivity users. From a commercial POV the 7500f is hard to beat for maximin value from what I can gather though.

The other issue is that the 9000 series has gotten absolutely rinsed by reviewers, so better value 7000 series productivity systems may have stronger appeal (Assuming strong pricing of course). That aside, the deal got a + from me. If I was in market for a new prebuilt gaming/streaming/productivity PC I'd absolutely but from you guys. Love your work!

        • +3

I think so too, but we will definitely still provide the option for the people that need it.

7700X price is close to 9700X price now, definitely some value in 7700X however I see more value in the 9700X now at this price point with its performance. Price is definitely more affordable now, it's only a matter of time before people change their minds about it haha. Thanks for your support ❤️.

  • Is it possible to BYO the SSD to reduce cost a touch? I have a perfectly good Samsung 990 EVO here I can take out of my laptop.

    • +8

Unfortunately not, there must be six MSI components to be eligible for the $225USD Steam gift card promotion. You can add the Samsung 990 EVO as a secondary or change it to your primary afterwards. It won't reduce the overall system cost too much either, sorry about that my friend :(. Hope you understand!

      • No problem at all, thankyou for your reply

  • This is awesome! Well done!

    • +2

First 9700X deal on OzBargain for the people that are after a beefy CPU 😁.

      • Loving it. Will order when I get home tonight.

        • +1

          ❤️

  • -1

Hngggggggg I hate buying new PC's there's always something better :( Would loved that 9700x

    • What did you buy?

    • Hey Legend,

We're close to your order now but if you email us I can get it swapped out for the new one for you brother!😁

Let me know your final configuration and I'll send over the difference.

      • Bro what ? I already have the PC lmao.

        • +1

Ohh sorry I thought we weren't up to your order yet, I am losing track of time… If it hasn't been despatched then we can definitely sawp to another system if you prefer. Sorry about that.

          • @Nebula PC: Haha no worries, it's how it goes with PC's :)

            • @SuBw00FeR: Hey @SuBw00FeR Have you gotten your steam cards yet?

              • +1

@twlandre: I haven't done that yet, gonna do it on the weekend, haven't had time to unpack the system.

    • Tagging you @SuBw00FeR just in case it doesn't notify you.

  • Any word on my PC from an earlier deal? :) It's within the date range, I am just impatient

    • Super super close and will be within the ETA 😁.

  • +3

I don't want to scare anyone off these deals, but something to keep in mind is that you might not have much of a CPU upgrade path as the motherboard has fairly weak VRMs: https://www.techspot.com/review/2861-amd-b650-motherboards-p…

Nebula have been good though. I grabbed the Ryzen 7500F/4070S/MSI B650M Gaming Wi-Fi deal a few weeks ago and the PC has been great. Cable management was excellent.

  • +3

Would you allow us to custom pair these builds with say a Lian Li Dan A3 or others (happy to pay extra) instead of the options you have currently? @Nebula PC

    • +1

It needs to have a certain number of MSI components to qualify for the MSI promotion (the 225$ steam credit)

      • Good point, was unaware of this.

    • Same. Looking for front inputs rather than top, like a asus ap201 or the lian li.

    • +1

I really want the A3 as well, but I think I might pull the trigger on this, and either sell the steam card to cover the A3 cost and move parts over, or just get the case down the track and move parts myself.

Edit: just noticed the A3 is now in the builder, whiuch drops the $225 steam card off, are we still eligible for the lower priced steam card though as there are more than 4 MSI components?

      • Where did you notice the A3 in the builder!? I checked them all, unless I'm missing something quite obvious!

        • I swear it was there before I went to lunch! Was super keen too
          proof

          • @scottr: Damn! Maybe a future deal perhaps? haha

            • @NatoePotato: Hopefully. My crypto has tanked a bit in the last few days and I needed a bit of a boost to use it for a new pc. Might have to wait another week or so if it rebounds 😄

        • I've removed it as it was a special order case for a customer, they understood they will only be eligible for the $120USD Steam gift card. I've only added it temporarily.

If you are interested in the A3 wood I'm happy to add it back as long as you understand that it won't be eligible for the $225USD Steam gift card promotion from MSI 😁.

    • Yes, however, it won't be eligible for the MSI Ultimate promotion with a $225USD Steam gift card where there are six MSI components. Only MSI Advanced being $120USD in Steam gift cards.

  • When does the AMD free games promotion runout?

  • +1

Just came here to say I got my MSI Steam Gift Cards today, turn around was like 1 day so pretty fast! I also got slightly more than $225 USD https://i.imgur.com/ndBHhKK.png Very simple form to fill out, upload invoice, upload photo of PC (I turn mine on to see all the stuff working) Fill out the models of each of your components and that's it, not serial numbers or anything required.

    Thank you Nebula!

    • Thank you for your support! ❤️

      • Awesome thank you, ordered yesterday with the extra SSD and a few other extras plus the GPU upgrade.

First ever pre built so looking forward to the experience

      • Hello it's been over 10 business days now and still no PC or delivery confirmation

  • Any deals on systems with 7900x3D and 7900XTX ? I’ve got a mate keen for some high end AMD gaming build

    • 7900X3D definitely no and not 7900XTX either sorry, not that popular of a combination for a bargain here, unfortunately. 9700X and the new 9800X3D CPU coming out might be a better option with a 4080 SUPER.

  • Just ordered the Raptor with the 9700X and 4070 super combination. I was looking at the 7500f in other deal, but figured I was looking to purchase Space Marine II anyway, which made the decision to creep upto the better CPU a bit easier given its a freebie in this deal.

This is my first gaming machine for 15 years and a lot to catch up. I hope to use the steam card either for winter sale or a steam deck when they get released. Think my wife will kill me.

    • Thank you for your support!

  • can u briefly explain to me the advantages of having heavier cpu vs gpu ?. i was thinking of getting the Raptor 4060 OC or Cynex/Catalyst with the 4070. my game needs rn is just average online games such as fortnite, valorant, apex but might get some AAA games once i upgraded, video editing here and there, potentially streaming. im not sure if multitasking is relevant since i was told it relies or RAM more, but i do have a lot tabs open and few apps at the same time.

    • TLDR will perform better for multitasking and productivity work along with CPU heavier games such as Fortnite having a beefier CPU. You will definitely see benefits if you're streaming and video editing, you will need processing speed for sure. Will not see a massive advantage in FPS if the game is more GPU heavy which lately most AAA games are.

You should opt for a mid-range CPU with a suitable GPU for your needs depending on your resolution, especially if you plan on playing AAA games. It seems like your use case is an all rounder type, a system like the Raptor with a suitable GPU will be ideal. For the current games and use case I'd prioritise CPU over GPU at this stage and choose a GPU that fits your budget.

  • Hey legends!

Is there any chance we could request a completely different case than what you offer? Lowkey wanting the Thermaltake Tower 200 or something that's a smaller form factor (Looking at the 4060ti build with pro mobo, m2 etc) But I know the MSI deal makes that trickier (not sure if there's something I could do still keep it but put it in another branded case?)

Is there anything you offer that's smaller than the white pano case? Can be MSI.

Love these deals, but lowkey may end up just spending a couple extra hundy to get the form factor I want.

    • Hi!

It has to be six MSI components to be eligible for the $225USD Steam gift card unfortunately, it's not negotiable. These are guidelines from MSI :(. There aren't any other MSI components to make up the sixth one in Australia, can't be RAM or CPU.

The Pano PZ M100R is the smallest dual glass fish tank style case. Otherwise, I'd recommend the standard M100R Mag Forge.

      • i'm a story and gameplay driven player, i was never really huge on graphics and always been focus on fps. always been gaming 720/1080 my whole life, would love to eventually experience 1440p, but as long as it doesn't disrupt my experience im all good.

im assuming i would always be able to upgrade my gpu in case i do need it right ? my current budget can only afford the 4060 with this cpu, or 4070S/7800XT with 7500F. im just worried that the 8gb vram wont be sufficent down the line.

        • 1080P with RTX 4060 is enough, if you want more grunt and are on a budget I would recommend the RX 7800 XT GPU as a gateway for 1440P gaming without breaking the bank :). Yes, you can always upgrade the GPU down the track if you need.

  • Thankyou Nebula, super easy ordering process, grabbed a 4070 Super. First gaming PC in over a decade, pretty excited

    • Thank you legend!

  • When I clicked on the $1988 super link. The GPU is 4060 TI and if select 4070 Super the price is increased by $500 bucks. Is the link right?

    • use the coupon code above (OZB_BLACKFRIDAYPBM_$500OFF) at checkout to save $500 and the price will match the text in the post

    • Please use OZB_BLACKFRIDAYPBM_$500OFF in checkout :).

  • Waiting for a deal with this chip but without the Steam gift card. I am so close to pulling the trigger, but can't justified usage for the Steam balance.

    • Haha no problem, keep your eyes peeled. Can always lower your cost by offloading the gift cards!

      • Haha thanks, it is embarrassing and I am not even sure if this is the right place to ask, but where would people usually go to do such offloading?

        • That would be up to the user, I'm sure there are plenty of third party marketplaces to sell on :).

          • @Nebula PC: I bite, it is just too tempting to me. So apparently I have been taxing my brain for the last several days just to go with the choice I had from the beginning.

And now have to find a way to offload the many freebies I will get from this promotion (If anyone is interested, plz dm). Such is the life of ozbargainer.

  • Any chance of some deals with the 7800X3D returning?
