7500f is too weak. You guys sold me a 7600x with a 4070 last year. Paired nicely.

Not the be all and is all but bottlenecks for this dont look great.

AMD Ryzen 5 7500F is too weak for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER on 2560 × 1440 pixels screen resolution for Processor Intense Tasks.

This configuration has 45.0% of processor bottleneck .

AMD Ryzen 5 7500F is too weak for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER on 2560 × 1440 pixels screen resolution for General Tasks.

This configuration has 31.3% of processor bottleneck .

I have a sneaking suspicion (echoed by various friends also in IT) that those bottleneck calculator sites need to be taken with a grain of salt. If there are benchmark vids pairing these CPUs and GPUs reflecting similar bottlenecks, that's another story altogether though. I'd be interested to see how this spec actually performs. Have enjoyed the Nebula PCs I've got, one with a core i7-12700KF and 4070 Super, another with an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 4070 Ti SUPER, and they churn through 1440p 144hz content happily. Mostly playing Helldivers 2 which I suppose isn't super intensive on mostly Medium/High settings just to keep that framerate high.

      • +1

Took a look at some youtube benchmarks. Seems your right on point. 7500f and 7600x don't really have a tangible difference to justify the cost/performance difference outside of the igpu that comes with the 7600x.

        • Awesome 👍 making this combination a great value proposition for gaming specifically. Now if users are also going for greater performance under various different workloads, that's when you've got to weigh up whether a better CPU is worth the extra spend.

    • +1

It suffices for most AAA games that are nowadays mostly more GPU intensive. It is definitely not as strong as the 7800X3D but performs well and is on the new AM5 platform that doesn't break the bank :). Those bottleneck calculators as @JownehFixIT said definitely taken with a grain of salt, use case varies greatly! 😁

You've got an awesome CPU though! 7600X is ripper.

Any 4080 Super + 7800x3d or 14900kf deals coming with a msi 250 gift card?

    • +1

Potentially if there is enough demand, will be in the books!

      • +1

Sound good, would really be ready commit to finally upgrading if a deal pops.

      • Do it please 🙏

  • Any small builds at all? Looking for something under 15L

    • +1

Yes, our N5 and N3 cases are practically as small as they can get without compromise for these system builds. The size of the N3 is super compact at just 31.5x18.5x41cm (LxWxH) running mATX in size and a dual glass panel. The N5 is super similar to the Jonsbo D300 but even smaller form factor at 33.5x27.5x35.5cm (LxWxH).

      Let me know if suitable!

      • Way too big unfortunately. My current build is in a Ncase M1. These are effectively double that size. Was feeling lazy but guess I'll be having to build my own again haha.

  • +2

Should l wait until black friday for a better deal? Looking for 4070 ti super/4080 super + 7 7800X3D.

    • +1

Same! So close to BF but some of these deals are looking really tempting

    • +1

I'm looking to get the same combo too. Some competitive deals so far which is good to see. I think I'll purchase during BF, so hope to see some good deals then.

    • +1

Best time to buy is when you're ready to buy 😁.

  • Any recommendations on a build for Baldur's Gate 3 at 1080p?

My girlfriend wants to play it on the couch and we have an old TV, so no need to pay for extra processing power if it can't be used.

    • For 1080P rigs I would recommend our Azora and Azora elite rigs depending on your budget - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/868459. On the latest AM5 platform and will perform more than enough on 1080P on any AAA title :).

  • I'm very keen on this promo but when I try to soup it up with the upgrades then it seems like the price advantage diminishes and is no longer price competitive. The base system is fine but the upgrade prices are overpriced.

    • What upgrades were you looking at? Typically the reason why the cost is high on upgrades is we don't get fantastic bulk buy pricing compared to the base model resulting the in the gap to be larger.

      • I'm trying to configure the system to hit all the components for the MSI, Nvidia and AMD deals. PCpartpicker will list the price about $150 less.

        • Sounds right as for AMD CPUs we won't get a big discount on some SKUs as we are buying only a handful. Best to stick closer to the base model if possible.

Are you able to please send me an email with your exact configuration so I can try my best to see what I can do?

  • Ok these guys are legit. Placed an order and on the whole great customer service considering I wasn't being an easy customer. Remember don't ask don't get.

    • I'm placing an order for this built soon. Glad to hear that they are helpful. If you don't mind sharing, what did you ask for?

      • +1

Pretty much upspecced to qualify for the full MSI, Nvidia and AMD promos.

        • What was the NVIDIA promo? Also, which additional MSI part did you go for. Cheers

          • @salivarygland: The NVIDIA promotion is for "Star Wars Outlaws", which ends on the 21st of November. So make sure you take into account the lead time for your order (~9-10days), and MSI delays (1 week to process your claim when you get your PC). If you're looking to maximize your benefits, ensure that the Nebula invoice clearly states that you qualify for the USD 225 promotion. In my case, my invoice listed the USD 120 promotion, even though I had six MSI parts. As such, MSI provided me with USD 120 voucher instead of the expected 225.

  • Does this come with the AMD space marine 2 deal as well, or have the coupons for that promotion run out?

    • Yea they have it if you upspec your CPU to qualify although I think its new games now - Warhammer 40k and something else. Dont think they sell Radeons in these promos.

    • Only if CPU/GPU is eligible then yep! Eligibility list here - https://s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/amdrewards/terms/AMD%2…

7500F is not eligible on the base model. Games that are in the promotion are:
      - Warhammer 40,000™: Space Marine 2™
      - Unknown 9: Awakening™

  • Is there a deal with 7800x3d and 4070 super or Ti?

    • +1

      9800X3D very soon 😁.
