Is this more expensive than pcpartpicker? Nothing wrong but I see other sellers are normally pricing less than the picker?

I don't know computer parts or anything like that, but if I'm reading it right, I think the first option with the i5-14600KF is the one in the PCPP list, which would end up being cheaper than their version? Again though, I'm not hardware savvy at all, so may be wrong about that

PCPP is $2202 and they're selling for $1999.

What's the latest news with regards to the Intel 13th and 14th gen degradation?

Are new CPUs with the latest microcode on motherboards with the latest firmware still at risk of dying over time?

  • What's lead times looking like lately?

    • Hi currently our lead time is 3-4 business days.

  • Was having a look at your store - looks absolutely awesome, would love to come by one day.

I'm surprised hourly prices are that low with the cost of equipment

  • @GalaPower If I send you the motherboard I want you to put in the pc would you add the cost on to the build and add it?

  • (GALA)Power to you guys! Keep up the good work.

  • In all of your builds, is there an option to use non water coolers? My understanding is that generally air coolers/water coolers for these type of low/mid systems are similar, so why are there no options for air coolers- do water coolers have larger profit margins?

    • The smaller the case, the harder airflow is to manage. You have a GPU sucking air into the case from the bottom, put a heatsink on and you'd also want a front case fan with decent oompf to move some air through the whole thing. It's a case that's well designed for a small radiator instead to push the heat straight out the top with some out the back as well to keep temps down inside, while also keeping noise down.

They also look better and are (IMO) easier to install than getting a big cooler in such a small case. It likely saves time on install.

I imagine buying the case/cooler together from their supplier is cheaper too, might as well take advantage of that. They're only $190 together though, can't be that much margin in there.

      • Thanks for the explanation. My personal preference is an air cooler (not being a major gamer, and have heard issues with fluid leaks etc, and just unnecessary unless for higher end machines). I'm looking to make a purchase in the next couple of months. So always disappointing when I don't see that option (again personally)!

        • IMO depends what you mean by "higher end". Intel's 14th gen chips aren't very efficient, this chip has a "max turbo draw" of 180W, it has a limit of 200W on air but can go up to 300W on water. It'll be throttling pretty quickly in this case if the heat isn't getting out, although I don't know if that'd have any real world impact on gaming and the like.

It's why the 7800X3D system here comes with an air cooler, I imagine. Despite being faster it uses a lot less juice.

  • @GalaPower just wanted to ask if you will be doing any 5090 builds anytime soon?

  • Hi, I have a genuine question, Do you make shipments to Auckland?
