Gaming PCs: AMD R7-7800X3D, RTX 5080, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD $3299; R9-9900X3D, RTX 5090: $6999 + Delivery @ TechFast

I got taken to Updoot City where the team is green and the rigs are pretty…crazy value tbh…

Lots of updoots on my last deal indicate there is still plenty of interest in RTX 5080 PCs. We have a small allocation remaining at the price which allows the $3299 system price - once those are sold through that option will show as sold out and the next cards coming through are at the higher price. Yes, that card price is $300 higher as foreshadowed. So, be quick to get the lower priced card.

CPU prices and availabilty does not allow for any CPU upgrades for this deal.

And, again by popular demand, a very quick run of RTX 5090s, paired with the Ryzen 9 9900X3D on the Asus TUF B650M-E WiFi motherboard, with the superior VRMs for the extra chip power.

Shipping times for these are estimated for end of April into May. We will shortly begin working on the late March/April orders with the Palit GamingPro cards, so lots of people will be getting notifications as such in the coming days and into next week. GameRock customers have all been contacted with timelines and the option to switch into GamingPro.

  • Any updates on 5090

Any chance we will be getting the option for a 9950x3d processor

    • Just added a 5090 deal. 9950X3D available in the 5090 deal only, there are not enough around to offer more broadly.

      • Awesome thanks

How do i pay by zip i see that is an option

        • +2

Not for deals sorry, their fees are prohibitive on the tight margins.

  • if you spend that much money on 5090 and 9900x3d you should get a much better motherboard…

    • +2

The minimum card price is $6299 and the chip is $1000. So at $6999 it's already under retail cost on those two parts alone. Asus Tuf B650M-E is one of the best bang for buck boards around and perfectly suited for the Ryzen 9. No reason to go higher as a base option.

  • +1

Is it possible to get a better mobo for the 5080 deal? Its a bit light on the I/O for me

  • +3

While this is not a great market for buyers, I think assoc accounts using scare tactics (buy now, or else!) is a bit shit. In the coming months, prices could go up, down, or stay the same. If anything, the hype pricing overall has cooled since feb, and will hopefully continue that way. I’ve seen this misleading commentary in a few deals posts by multiple pc stores.

    • These prices are more expensive than the launch deals from the same seller in Jan, so I wouldn't say the pricing has cooled. Also, I would expect these sellers to have some insight into what prices will do in the next month or two. Beyond that? Yes, crystal ball territory.

    • prices could go up, down, or stay the same

      amazing insights.

      • I can't see how they'd be going up, even in Australia. They have dropped to €3000 (less than $5500) and slightly below in the EU and they includes their 20% GST

      • If you understood my comment, you’d realise that’s the whole point. But alas…

        • Wasn't arguing your point but wanted to provide some context. The Techfast prices are probably the most competitive in the country and I can only assume OZ distributors are taking the piss as usual.

  • +1

Wow, a 9900X3D and a 5090… talk about paradise city!

  • No voucher code for 5090?

    • No voucher nup, just straight price.

  • -5

Man, what happened to these PC prices?!
I bought mine for 3k before the tariffs and shortages. Thank goodness for that!

  • +3

You lost me at 'crazy value'. I know it's not techfast fault but we are in probably the worst value/money era that I can remember for gaming aside from possibly the mining rush of 2021-2022. Happy to stick with the ol' reliable 3080 for as many gens as it takes for the greed from NVIDIA to stop. Failing that will just go back to consoles for gaming.

    • +1

You think the greed from NVIDIA will stop?!

      • +3

Haha probably not, but I like to have hope that this particular bubble will eventually pop and either prices come down or at least normalise over time adjusted against regular monetary inflation and wages.

That time will probably come when the average Joe middle class just vote with their wallet or genuinely are priced out of the market and NVIDIA can't sell enough cards. Looking back through deals now and towards the end of 2023 techfast out out an absolute cracker where U could buy a 3080 gaming PC for under 1400 bucks. The 4090 system posted in the same deal was like just over 4k. Its just hard ot really clarify any current gen cards as a 'deal' when price to performance ratios (ie. Cost per frame) are just getting worse.

        • As long as the huge amount of A.I. chip orders continue pricing will probably not go down or stabilize until the end of this year or next.

You get the best deals for the current gen just before the next gen comes out. Which then you argue with yourself why not wait until next gen!?!? It's a vicious cycle.

I'm looking at a NVIDIA 5090 laptop myself but it's hard to find anything under $7K right now. And if I'm blowing 7K I'm probably going to go for a desktop with 9950X3D and a 5090RTX when things settle down.

          • @GardenGnome: Valid points, I personally am still happy to either just step back from gaming or look to less graphically intensive games - it's just not worth spending 3-4k to play or squeeze a few extra frames out of the latest ray traced slop that comes out nowadays.

      • if only Nvidia is at fault explain why 9800x3d was 799 at launch and now its over 900?

    • +3

3080 is still great for 1440p gaming. Smokes any current console.

      • Agreed - long live the 3080, the new 1080ti :p

        • +1

Still rocking my 3080. It does get a bit hot and heavy, it has to be said.

I am not at the point where I am prepared to pay 3.3K to upgrade.

          • @mwahahaha: Still like my 3080 for mainly maxed out 1440p 144hz monitor.

As for the heat, ive be running an undervolt with memory overclock faultlessly for 6 months. Lower power consumption and temps with quieter fans - win all round.
            Plenty of YT guides.

Shipping times for these are estimated for end of April into May.

    Ooof.

Maybe I'm wrong, but with all these deals having to be available and sold far in advanced of actually having stock, it seems techfast is banking the entire business on cashflow from these types of pre-orders?

Unlike the other pc builders that post here that only advertise builds of gear they have in stock and able to ship in days or a week.

    Sustainable business model? Ehh…

Good deals. If you get it. From my tracking seems the estimates are usually a bit optimistic?

  • +1

I placed an order a 3 weeks ago for a 5090 machine. This offer is now better than that - do I need to cancel my order and re-raise or can you just switch out the 7800X3D for the 9900X3D? If I cancel will I lose my place in the queue? I have emailed but it looks like I'll get a quicker reply here.

    • No problem swapping. We will handle via email so there’s a record of it.

  • +1

Wow, the 5090 price jump is crazy! Anyone who got a 5090 build earlier is very lucky, hope y'all are enjoying it.

  • Hi Team could you specify the brand/model of the "240mm All-In-One Liquid CPU Cooler"? Thanks

    • My RTX5080 order arrived yesterday..
it came with the MSI MAG Coreliquid A13 - which Luke listed in the PC part picker..

Its absolutely awful.. soundwise.. and I wasn't impressed by the performance..

      https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/liquid-cooling/ms…

I had a prebuilt from Evatech, which also had another MSI 240mm AIO… it was pretty awful and noisey as well..

You may get something else.. because they reserve the right to substitute brands as well depneding on availability.

      • Hi! Did yours come with the Gigabyte B650M Gaming Plus WiFi Motherboard? How much clearance is there on top between rad and VRM heatsinks/ ram please?

      • Thanks for the info!

  • Any update on "Late Feb/Early March" GameRock builds?

  • +1

Is it possible to purchase and just have all the parts shipped so I can build? If so, will I get it quicker if I opt for that?
