Gaming PC: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, RX 9070 XT GPU, 32GB 6000MHz RAM, 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD, 750W Gold PSU $2499 + Delivery @ TechFast

7800X3D-9070XT-APR

Howdy folks,

Plenty of requests for these, understandably. AMD really have hit the mark with the 9070 XT - delivering stellar performance at a lower price point against their NVIDIA target card the 5070 Ti. "Worthy of recommendation" as Hardware Unboxed put it. Clearly best paired with a high tier CPU, we've opted for the 7800X3D along with 32GB 6000MHz RAM.

Stock is quite limited so be quick to secure yours.

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RX 9070 XT Gaming PC

  • AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D with AG400 ~200W air cooler
  • AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics (primarily Sapphire models in use)
  • Gigabyte B650M Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard
  • 32GB 6000Mhz RAM (primarily Predator in use)
  • 1TB Gen 4 m.2 NVMe SSD (primarily HP in use)
  • 750W Gold PSU (XPG primarily in use)
  • Antec CX500M case (others available)

Shipping will be in April.

Thanks for everyone's support and patience on the various 50 series launches - NVIDIA launches are generally challenging with how they and their manufacturers' numbers and times change a fair bit from what we are all told versus what actually comes in and when, but as we have done for the Ozb community since 2018, we always get there in the end.

Cheers
Luke, Caleb, Zac and the TechFast team

    • How do you manage to build and ship below the price listed by PCPP? Are you working on the retail margins of the individual components?

      • I was wanting to ask this question too lol. All I can think is the bulk purchasing on their end gives them significant discount?

  • -3

SSD(and probably psu) look like a mandatory upgrades but otherwise lookn real nice

    • +1

      Nothing wrong with the PSU

This specific Sapphire model even specifically recommends 750W. It'll be fine.

      • -4

I mainly dont trust cooler master, but otherwise yeah

    • +1

SSD is fine for an OS Drive tbh. And PSU will be fine unless you plan to upgrade, it's a great package tbh.

  • You selling gpus on their own? Lot of demand for the power color reaper. If you get them and offer it at MSRP there will be a few buyers.

    • +14

We're going to steer clear of individual GPUs at and around launch generally speaking. Just causes issues in low supply scenarios when manufacturers don't hit the next delivery benchmarks they say they will, as alluded to above. Just makes it harder than it needs to be as a system builder really.

      • Fair enough I suspected that's what happened as I recalled you sold the 5080 individually as well.
        Thanks for your feedback

  • +1

Hey Luke is it posible to upgrade ti 9800x3d? How much would that be?

    • Not at the moment sorry

  • +27

    Postage 34.75- total $2533.75 .. Pcpartpicker Price $2695.77 saving only $162.02

However.. If you can get a MSRP GPU at $1139 - the total PCpartpicker pice is only $2505.77

Meaning you build a similar or better machine for cheaper than this techfast machine.. if you can get an MSRP 9070xt..

Given.. the machine I ordered from the techfast from the 31/1/2025 (with the GPU on hand) - First day of the special, still in in the order phase (they don't seem to have all the parts still after 7 weeks).

I strongly suggest DIY the machine yourself.. particularly if you want or need the machine in under 2 months from ordering.

Unfortatenly techfast is extremely unreliable at the moment.. (more so than usual)

yeah this deal is not as great as some other they posted for 50 series GPU.
Although they said mostly sapphire model, pulse never been a MSRP model in Aus, cheapest is around 1300.

      • +3

The only reason to buy a techfast machine, if you save money… on the component costs, and you are happy to wait 1-3 months for delivery..

In this particular deal, there is no savings on the components (if you can find a MSRP 9070XT)… which turn up not too infrequently..
(just two examples in the last two days).. just have to be quick..

      • +2

Mostly sapphire… but they could give you anything!!! so long its a 9070xt… and they can get their hands on it..
Undoubted it will be the cheapest card available..to them..

Not to mention you could be wait 2-3 months.. until, they actually get stock of the card as well..

the promise of paying extra for "stock onhand" means absolutely nothing….

        • +3

I fully acknowledge the delay here but I do want to clarify that the extra $100 was for the GameRock model which costs more than GamingPro, rather than it being $100 more for being marked as on hand - we do not charge more or less according to timings, only physical component prices.

          • @luketechfast: acknowledged..
The only reason.. I upgraded at the time or purchase was because the stock was "onhand" where the Gamepro.. was a not stock onhand..

I have not received.. the email from the 20/3/2025 that "others have mentioned yesterday (20/02) saying the current estimate is another 10-15 days on my GameRock build"

does that mean my order is coming, sooner and there is no expected delay…

            • +1

@Kelvin: That's correct - the inbound shipment I referenced below contains a card for every customer who originally chose a GameRock card marked as On Hand, and opted to stay with it. Customers who ordered cards marked as Feb/March and March/April have been provided with different information, specific to their batch.

              • +1

@luketechfast: Cool, I wait in anticipation..

                • @Kelvin: How much is your time worth not $100-200 to do a build I think a neg here is harsh it’s free labour as well.

    • +2

True, don't mind the price but the wait time people are seeing should be a concern for new customers.

    • What did you spec your 5080 build with? It appears many people from that batch are starting to get theirs shipped.

      • +3

Paid extra $100 for the Gamerock.. because it was stock onhand.. otherwise standard spec.. other than ship the GPU separately.. no changes to the machine.

They offered me a downgrade to the Gamepro and $100 back via email on the 6/3/2025, and expected the Gamerock cards to arrive on the 17/3/2025, by the time I replied it was the 10/3/2025.. so I was happy to wait Gamerock cards to arrive.. but since then… nothing from them…

        • +2

Same here. 5080 gamerock build waited for nearly two months. No update since 6th March.

          • @Raphael L: I just got the email that others have mentioned yesterday (20/02) saying the current estimate is another 10-15 days on my GameRock build. I've opted to wait for it but I'm a little concerned at this point it's going to hit the 3 month mark or longer…

        • In that email we explained that the GameRock cards were expected at the distributor on the week of the 17th (this week) - I can confirm they have arrived and been dispatched to us - the tracking shows delivery to us Monday. At which point these will be the first systems completed. GameRock is the situation alluded to above - short shipped and hugely delayed, regrettably.

        • That's a shame. I was about to go GameRock but stuck with GamingPro. Looks like I made the right choice.

    • +5

8 week build is BS, if you cant get it out in 2 weeks dont post it

  • Hi Techfast, i just wanna ask if you guys have any deal for ryzen 7 9700X and RX 9070XT combo with options of no light RGB ? thank you so much.

    • Hi, that one's not a spec we have planned for. Lights can be disabled on most cases but we don't have any cases that don't feature RGB fans or components within them.

  • Do you have any PC builds for someone interested in graphic design/working from home as well as a bit of gaming?

    • +1

All of these deals I would classify as ideal for what you're looking for, if a bit heavier on the gaming side - but the components within are definitely suited for design. We don't have anything in the budget range at the moment because all GPU releases are at the higher end.

  • any rtx card for ai and production?

  • Is there an ETA on the despatch time for these builds, I've seen a few complaints with delivery time for some of your previous builds, just wondering if this is due to the amount of work or if it's more of a stock issue?

    • +4

We're not offering batches for these ones - it was mainly the batching, particularly the first and second GameRock card specifically, that has caused issues. These are scheduled for April. As mentioned above NVIDIA 50 series was not a smooth launch supply wise as manufacturers/distributors missed deadlines and quantities that were agreed to in advance. Customer feedback on times is valid and I wouldn't try to convince anyone otherwise - as too is the request for more information but as soon as we get reliable information we pass it on - unfortunately the time it takes to get that is not amazing either. Customers are always offered the option of full refund at any time should the scenario not work for them - we do not hold onto anyone's money against their wishes or force them to keep orders.

      • +4

The stock delays and lack of information from suppliers are obviously understandable and I don’t blame you guys for that.

I absolutely blame you guys for giving misleading information. The words “on hand” should never have been used, plain and simple.

but as soon as we get reliable information we pass it on

Okay, so for context: the approximate estimate given when I ordered was 3 weeks. It’s currently 7 weeks on and I don’t yet have my PC.

I have received zero emails from Techfast acknowledging or providing information on the delay. The only information I was able to get was second hand information on the forum thread and the support email. That’s just unacceptable.

I’m sure the support email was swamped with questions, why not get in front of it and send out a courtesy email instead of letting us guess as to what was going on?

I got a fantastic deal and the PC seems incredible, but my purchase experience with Techfast was so bad that I will not be a returning customer.

        • +1

Fully agreed with MunkyAU here. The lack of transparency, the unanswered emails and communications not being sent to folks who got a pc, let alone people enquiring about things was abysmal. Techfast needs to do better with communication regardless of the stock situation since communication is definitely within their control and how they go about it

        • Completely agree with this. The 0 comms has sourced what should have been an exciting purchase.

I think this is a huge case of over promising and under delivering.

After being massively delayed I was told it will be shipped by the end of week. Clearly that's not happening.

They are best to be more conservative with their timelines.

          • @Florgleplax: I used them a few years ago and it wasn't too bad. I actually had a great experience with them if I'm being honest.

Recently I recommended one of my ex students to buy from them. I did warn him they sometime have delays but it's a great deal.

After 6 weeks he cancelled…. Kind of feel a bit sheepish recommending them now but it is what it is.

            • @Ruddaga: @Florgleplax Yeh I got purchased from them previously and I there were delays, but they communicated.

The 5080/90 deal has been a mess if you weren't one of the first few.

And I wouldn't blame anyone making a complaint to fair trading re "on hand" claim.

  • Are all items in stock?

    • We have stock for a large portion of the overall available units for this deal on hand now, yep. Others will come next month, which is why I’ve said April shipment which is when most will ship. Multiple reasons for it, distributor holdings and incomings, end of month balancing, physical space, current build queue, staff scheduling, among others. This is the same business model we have used for all other deals.

        Hi Luke,

Have you considered becoming a politician?

Lots of words come out but not much information.

        • 🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • $754 for a 7800x3d is wild.

    • best gaming cpu so they call it

      • Nope, best one is the 9800x3d

        • Well it's around equal to the 9950 x3d. But obviously 9950x3d is also a great productivity cpu

  • Also, this motherboard is crap

    • What's crap about it?

      • VRMs

        • which motherboard is better MSI?

          • @ozgrizz: Depending on the model not the brand.

  • Are the 5090 builds still on track for April? Waiting in anticipation haha

  • Had an excellent experience with these guys, the value for money is unmatched and their customer support is incredible, including replacing a failed component that was just outside the 1yr warranty.

Have just bought my 2nd pre-built and will continue to buy from them :)

  • I recommended my friend to the 9800x3d - rtx 5080 deal in January.
Althought it was delay ( 3 weeks i think), he is so happy with it.
I know many people are upset with Techfast timeframe and delay, but my friend said it was totally worth it.
But again, may be because the other deal was so good.
I also bought 1 pc for my sister from Techfast last year, was slighly delay ( 3 days) but we are ok with that.

Used luke during covid. Pc dead after 2 years. Binned it. Never again

    • Did it explode? Did it catch fire? You can have a part dead but bin the whole god damm thing must be a joke.

      • I spend $800 repairing it and it still had blue screen of death… literally sitting in the garage. U can pick it up if u want for free lol.

        • Damn it =( I would collect if you are in Brisbane/Gold Coast area lol 😆

          • +1

@Dienk: Its in our victorian office. We bought it during covid. Bought a few of them. Only one broke. Lesson learnt. Never repair, just get new ones.

          • @Dienk: This were the parts-

AMD Ryzen | RTX 3070 8GB Gaming Desktop PC [High Spec] × 1
Bundled MSI MAG Forge 100R Case × 1
            Bundled 16GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM (2 x 8GB Modules) × 1
Product Option: 1TB Hard Disk Drive × 1
            Bundled Gigabyte Eagle RTX 3070 8GB Graphics Card - November × 1
            Bundled AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Processor × 1

There’s more. We paid like $2k each

            • @dahe88: ACL should cover you for 2 years I would argue. A bit late now but desktop computers (especially 2k) should last 3 years from other cases.

  • +1

I remember when a RTX 3070 costed $1500 and techfast sold a whole PC with it for $1600. Great time.
