We are looking into another RTX 5080 deal for late April into May. If this is of interest please let me know with an updoot.

    • +1

      Can we get a 5080 paired with a 9950X3D?

    • -2

and ubder $3500 ,thats the deal!

    • +3

      What about 5090 deal?

    • +1

Do you mean for the ITX deal? This is the board. tbh no one has raised not listing the IO before now that I can recall.

        • +6

Roger. Not on this deal sorry, ITX boards are hard to get in quantity/price.

            • +3

@kungfuman: This board is about $140 unless u want to pay additional $100 otherwise i don't think thunderbolt port is possible at this price

            • +14

@kungfuman: The cheapest board in there with thunderbolt is $500.

I think you're missing the point of this machine.

                • +8

@kungfuman: if you're not cost sensitive and have very specific components in mind, should be easy to get someone to do the building for you for $200 or so in service fees.

                    • +32

@kungfuman: They can service whatever part of the market they want. Sounds like you're a customer they'd be happy to miss.

                        • +20

@kungfuman: Look mate, your comment history is pretty active. If you're going to spend half the day on OzBargain shit stirring different posts then I'm pretty sure you have other more important issues to attend to. Move along now.

                            • +22

@kungfuman: And they are open to all customers you dipshit. Techfast can build any ITX PC for you with thunderbolt ports; just not at that price point that they originally offered, since the components are more expensive. What part of this do you not understand? Or did common sense decide to not reside in your brain today?

EDIT: you're*, since you're one of those who doesn't know the difference between 'your' and 'you're'.

                    • +4

                      @kungfuman: Keep digging.

                    • +33

@kungfuman: Exactly, I was just yelling at one of the staff members at Kmart about this. I couldn't find any Chanel or Louis Vuitton in my local store. She started crying but that didn't stop me, I'm entitled to get what I want from where I want and it's their responsibility to offer it. They also didn't sell any pets despite having a pet section.

        • +6

What a waste of time this comment is.

          • -5
            • +1

@kungfuman: @kungfuman if you want to get an small form factor prebuilt pc with thunderbolt then this is your only option

              • -4

@bruhminister: umart also will do this.

                • +3

@kungfuman: Might not do this exact thing. But they do the building for you for $99. That being said, the only reason I suggested this was to keep the cost low. Otherwise thunderbolt equipped motherboards are not the cheapest.

                  So take your pick.

P.S. I would still advice building your own system. Not just because of the $99. But more for the experience.

    • +4

Definitely my only regret with my well priced prebuilt was not have any usb C ports.

      • is that even legal in 2025?

      • +1

Not wanting to get involved in this whingefest, FYI USB C is not the same as thunderbolt.

You can use a different cable or an adapter and you would have USB C, but the protocol behind it would still be USB (probably USB 3.2 if it is a modern PC), and not the higher bandwidth protocol of thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt is a very peculiar demand, just like if someone wanted a firewire port or a tape drive. It's proprietary intel technology, and hence, expensive

Can I please get a response from my email last Thursday regarding my possibly faulty mobo/ram on the 5080 build?

    • Did you end up getting a response yet? I've ordered the 5080 build scheduled for late Mar/Apr. Keen to hear how the customer care is.

      • +1

Almost a whole week and no response lol. Customer service a lil nonexistent since they’ve already got my money 🤷‍♀️

  • +1

Sometimes I look back and ask, why did I spend $1000 for a RTX 3070 alone

    • +6

Purchase early, and you’ll enjoy immediately; purchase later, and you’ll save more.

    • Some people paid $1000 for a RTX3060 during the highs of the crypto run

      • +4

Patience is key, I bought a 3080ti and 12900K bundled from a pilot (who likes flight simulator) for $900 last year in March through FB marketplace, he lived regional and did not want to ship. Was rocking a 1080 till then and honestly was mostly fine.

For 99/100 people, you never really NEED to upgrade, it's just a nice to have.

        • Did you have to drive to the country to pick it up? how long was the drive?

          • @pitpicker: Yes I did, but it was 25 mins from my holiday home, which I was visiting at the time, hence not a huge cost/inconvenience.

            • @tightm8: Lucky you, that's not far at all, i was expecting to hear something like 2+hrs each way.

  • Hi there may i ask which brand of ram and gpu will be in that 4060 ITX Gaming PC? Cause i am thinking to upgrade some of the parts myself

  • +1

    Nice!

quick fyi - the ITX build has "16GB DDR5 5200MHz RAM" in it's webpage desc, instead of DDR4 3200

    • +1

      Fixed thanks

  • +1

What PSU is in the ITX build?

    • +1

Yeah PSU is curiously missing from the entire product page

      • Its an optional extra

  • Will the ITX build handle 1440p gaming?

    • +1

      More of a 1080p pc

  • +5

ITX: those who prioritise TINY over cooling/longevity, this's a good-deal @ $688. No one can match this 🏆🤑

Don't push it hard ALL-the-time, lol. Monitor temperature: GPU/CPU/MB/PS/RAM, especially when your room-temperature ~30°C. Use free-software, say HWiNFO & temp. gun?

NO air-flows: maybe remove the case in summer-months 😱

Hardware are mainly LOW-tier & they're fine, if you practice the above.

GPU: seems like it's drawing room-air (NOT hot-air IN-side the case) & expelling them via vents.

    Happy gaming.

  • Hi Luke,

Got any mATX with i5 12400f and 4060 combos?

  • +1

    Any AMD /4060 builds coming?

  • Luke, does the motherboard come with a CNVI shell for us to put our own mini pcie wifi card into? I vaguely remember some older variants of this mini PC including this.

  • +3

4060 shows as oos already? Teach me not to refresh ozb every 10 mins ;)

  • +1

    Already Out of Stock?

  • +5

These headline deals (the $688 ITX build) now seem so short of stock that they are really unworthy of being included as headline deals.

    • +1

Agreed but I did have the chance to get one so I can't sook too hard this time.

  • +1

damn how quick did the 4060 ones sell off

  • Daamm missed out on the i5 deal :(

  • +1

Is the 5070 build good for sim racing? Looking to get back into PC gaming after a 15 year break lol.

  • This is exactly why I should check Gumtree every 5mins. Missed out on the i5 again

  • beauty and the beast situation here

  • Have the ITX from a previous deal… How can I disable the RGB thing? It's very annoying

    • Have a look in your BIOS

Though it might be software controlled, have a look at the mobo manufacturer's website

  • +4

    RIP price/performance compared to 4070ti S builds.

    • +2

ahh i should've got one then

    • I bought this 4070 Ti S build for $2400 after cashback last night on HP's eBay store. Processor choice is a bit odd but ah well.

    • 9800x3rd were then in the mix as well so the performance and stability overall is much better - 1% low specially

  • 1800 for a 5070ti is crazy.

    What a dud generation.

  • +1

    i am waiting for the 9800x3d + 5080 deal

    • I suspect it will come back but potentially higher price than before. If not it’ll be a few months before prices calm down.

      • I don't see prices coming down to what they should be a plenty of stock now in $2500 range for a 5080, that's just nuts, 4090 pricing

  • +1

that 4060 itx build is amazing value………….. and it's OOS

    • +3

It’s bait for their other systems as you still can buy the itx at full price

  • +1

Intel Core i5-12400F | RTX 4060 ITX Gaming PC gone quicker than lightning, any more coming anytime soon? finally was in my budget :(

    • +1

i reckon they only had a handful of the 4060 systems : (

      • some lucky people out there who snapped that deal, oh well will sit on my 970 for longer then :/

  • 688$ price with decent mid tier spec in this day and age is like 300$ back then for a full set up!!!!

  • +1

12400f + 4060 is very solid budget 1080p gaming PC, just gone too fast.

    • I reckon you'd get 1440p if you were not too worried about frames.

    • It was OOS in under 2 hours, been chasing one of these for a few months and it seems like they don't have stock unlike BF.

      • i have been keeping an eye out but was too late at 5 hours after the deal.

  • Hey @luketechfast any BYO GPU deals on the horizon? I think I can squeeze some more life out of my 4080 :)

    • in fact if you want to make my dreams come true, i'm looking for a 9800x3d BYO GPU

    • +1

We're not doign any BYO GPU deals sorry, we've tried previously but doesn't work overall.

      • Darn, all good.

  • Great little 4060 rig, if these come back in stock, I'll probably grab one for the old man.

  • From what I can tell this company seems extremely popular and quite trust worthy. I was thinking of building a gaming rig with the Jonsbo Jonsplus Z20 MicroATX but I have to admit to have it done for me and turn up ready to go fits my pay somebody else to do it for you lifestyle…

  • do you do any of the cheaper ones with a standard size case and motherboard?

  • +1

Quick heads up to the enthusiasts that the B650M motherboard in the 5070Ti deal does not support PBO (Performance Boost Overdrive) to overlock / undervolt the CPU.

The BIOS settings are there but they don’t apply.

  • If the cheaper system is OOS, shouldn't it be removed from title? Just asking….

  • +4

    Intel Core i5-12400F | RTX 4060 ITX Gaming PC(ozb.techfast.com.au): $688 after 12400F-4060-ITXAPR SOLD OUT

Any chance we can get this back?

  • Little disappointed seeing them advertising 5080 setups when mines a month late.

  • Would be keen on any 4060 TI offers

  • The 4060 ITX system this time uses the palit storm x compared to the zotac solo from the previous ITX build. I have heard that the palit storm x has poor thermal design, is this true? Is it that much worse compared to the zotac solo?
