OZB_PBM_$500OFF

Hi OzBargain,

You want a bargain, this is a banger bargain. This is the absolute craziest AM5 platform deals we've done at the lowest ever ever price point for future-proofing and competing well close to AM4 5500/5600 rigs in terms of pricing. This is a no brainer for the people on the fence of both. We're talking under $1000 for an RTX 4060 rig on the AM5 platform, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and a bonus $120USD Steam gift card to lower your cost even more. Likely one of the best deals we've had that ticks many boxes in terms of good pricing and future-proofing. Reliable tier-one components all around, it doesn't get better than this. To the best of my knowledge, they lowest priced rigs in the nation for these configurations.

What makes us different?

  • Guaranteed within one business hour response times for email, phone and live chat support
  • We’re proud to offer a fair and transparent price that our competitors struggle to match with a quality service
  • Usage of only premium high-end components with the absolute best value - all components are listed
  • Each PC is quality controlled seriously before despatch, we run checks on all components multiple and stress tests including 3DMark and MemTest86
  • 3 years return to base warranty and lifetime support included on all purchases
  • All PCs shipped are packaged carefully – no internals can move during transit as we use protective packaging around all parts inside along with fragile stickers and tape all over your box - more info
  • Your PC is built with passion, we don’t take shortcuts and keep all cabling tidy whether you can see them or not - more info

    • mobo with 2 RAM slots and just one PCI-E other than for graphic card.

These days it's very rough trying to run four modules as motherboards and new Ryzen CPUs are very picky with this, it's nearly impossible to run them at full speed and have them post consistently. The support for four modules on the motherboard compatibility list is so little rendering it not feasible. Two DIMM slots to run them in dual channel speeds is well more than enough nowadays, the extra two DIMM slots are not useful typically. A user would likely need to replace the two modules before they can use the other two DIMM slots if it's a four-DIMM slot motherboard due to compatibility, posting and speed issues.

One PCIe is enough for your average user, the motherboard comes with onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth along with a secondary M.2 slot if you need extra storage. This is a system focused on low cost/budget for OzBargain with limited features that are still enough for your average user. There is a small PCI-E x1 on top of the main PCIe x16 slot for a network card or others if you need. Still a very functional motherboard and not that limited my friend!

Though, I completely understand where you come from. Needs vary from user to user, the features of this motherboard suffices and is a good middle ground for better pricing with minimal downsides 😁.

        • +1

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying, if you try to put an extra cheap old stick with your existing two modules in a four DIMM slot motherboard it is very very likely the system won't post and have compatibility issues like blue screening and crashing on games rendering the extra DIMM slots not usable. Especially if you're trying to run 3 modules, from our experience it most definitely won't work (I could be wrong). This is what I'm trying to say.

Of course, understand what you're saying regarding M.2 slots and more. There are upgrade options for the motherboard with more features if the user needs them. For OzBargain this is what we do for a bargain, we try our best to reduce cost as much as possible without limiting features too much along with having some form of future-proofing still albeit not as much as you may need.

VGA choice is fantastic for its price point now, we have essentially the full range of VGA's available and you're welcome to choose any depending on your budget needs. Unfortunately, not all users can stretch their budget for a higher end VGA and will need to settle for an RTX 4060/4060 Ti. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this, they are still solid cards for 1080P gaming and will suffice for many years to come.

Every user's needs are vastly different as you can see from our conversation, we cater for as many as possible but will fail to meet all criteria as much as we try. I understand where you come from, there's no right or wrong answer. Everyone's needs are different and what we do here is likely not suitable for your needs and it's okay!

@Nebula PC: I'm saying that I can buy exactly the same ram in the future and add it to my current sticks to get double size and the least possible compatibility issues. It is also cheaper than selling my current ram and buying double size in 2 sticks in the future.

            • @Ozzster: @Ozzster - I think he's just saying this will run most of your games for a good few years at 1080p and there's options for upgrades. It looks pretty good to be honest.

            • +2

@Ozzster: What I'm trying to say is that if you do exactly that it very likely won't work, the compatibility list for four modules is little to none for four DIMM AM5 motherboards unfortunately. Even if you use the exact same modules, it won't work. There are many sources on this online, not just us. They're super super picky and it's not like the previous generations that we're used it, it's horrible.

The systems on this deal are truly to the best of my knowledge the best-priced AM5 rigs which AMD has pledged to support for many years to come, AM4 will come to an end shortly. This is the best middle ground in terms of future-proofing without breaking the bank, the socket will support 9000 series CPUs and newer releases so that you won't need to replace the motherboard or maybe RAM as well. Even if building yourself or any other competitor with this configuration will cost you more to the best of my knowledge, OzBargain is both price, value and service driven. For this deal, we try our best to do exactly all that and again I understand that it's not suitable for your needs which is completely okay. I just wanted to let you know the reasons why we went with this certain configuration, it's a great choice for your average user. Especially the choice of VGA, nothing wrong with the options whatsoever.

            • +2

@Ozzster: Stahp, DDR5 has issues with four sticks regardless if they're the same or not, please go look it up. Yes it's true for DDR4 four sticks are fine, but DDR5 has issues.

        • I initially thought the same as you and intended to upgrade to the Mag mb with 4 DIMMS but I read about incompatibility issues with them and potential performance degradation on the AM5 platform and just settled on the base line configuration.

Can the $120USD steam code by used on an Australian Steam account?

  • Seems a bit silly to do 4 MSI products instead of 5 :( Is it possible to change something in order to get the full gift card amount from MSI? i'd be keen on the 4070 build if so.

    • +1

I don't understand, do you mean 6 instead of 4? You'll need to have 6 components to get the $225USD promotion from MSI meaning you'll need to get their liquid cooler and case which will increase the cost more than the extra value of the difference received from the gift cards. There has been a bit of demand 6 components for the $225USD Steam gift card though, we'll make sure to put this in the books!

      • +1

Ah, I thought it was 5.. fair enough ;)

  • Might I ask which one gives the best bang for buck?

    • For 1080P, 4060 Ti rig if you have the budget for it. For 1440P without a doubt the 4070 SUPER rig 😁.

  • What is the benefit of these builds over your equally priced and better performing 7500F builds?

    • 7500F rigs will cost more but will perform better - they aren't equally priced. The benefit of these rigs is that they are a gateway to the AM5 platform on a budget. 8400F at this price point is spectacular for people who might have a stricter budget but still want to be on the latest AM5 platform for upgradability with ease 😁.

    • These builds also have 16GB of RAM compared to the 32GB on the 7500F builds.

I'm still waiting for dispatch of the Cryo I ordered last week. I went back and spec'd everything the same apart from the CPU to compare (Cryo vs Cynex) and basically you are saving $40 going from 7500F to 8400F.

  • Is it possible to add a water cooling option? Thanks

wanting to upgrade to the Lian Li Dan case

    • +1

Yes, available in the support section > CPU Cooling System > 240mm Liquid Cooler - https://gyazo.com/b8a839abede864319addd593af233ffa. There was a configuration error earlier but now has been fixed.

Case just needs to be anything other than the N3 or NX200M to fit a 240mm AIO as well :).

  • Is there any other free games you can offer instead of Star Wars Outlaws? I heard that games dogsh#t.

    • Unfortunately not, it's an NVIDIA funded promotion and we have zero control of the distribution or promotion.

  • Can it run silent hill

  • Would Cybex be good for 4k 60fps games?

    • No, it wouldn't. You'd need a 4080 SUPER for that kind of performance, maybe on some games the 4070 Ti SUPER would suffice. Plenty of rigs like this available from us 😁.

  • +2

I'm building my own PC and it's costing me more than the deals posted on here for equivalent components😆. I guess the experience is worth it though.

    • 😁

    • +2

An individual retail buyer will never do better than wholesale prices especially not in this country.

  • Best around

Thank you for your support ❤️.

      • Hey there, are you guys going to have Black Friday deals as well? wondering if I should grab this now or wait a month for the Black Friday deals. Cheers

        • These are the best of the best always, essentially Black Friday pricing now. IT is a fast-moving industry and unfortunately, I can't predict future pricing at this stage.

  • What's everyone thinking Black Friday deals will be like?

  • very close to buy my first gaming pc, just need to offload my console& current oooold pc. definitely keeping an eye on these deals.

  • Hi, will you have other deals for Black Friday? I like this deal a lot but am also wondering what the Black Friday deals will be like. Cheers
