In general CPU tasks, Zen 3+ 7735HS keeps up(cpubenchmark.net) with the Zen 4 8840HS

I wouldn't trust that site, if a 7735HS keeps up with the 8840HS it's probably because it's running at a higher power limit.

    • AFAIK 8000 mobile series was just a refresh of 7000 series with minimal performance gain.

      • +3

        8840HS is a refresh of the 7840HS
        7735HS is a refresh of the 6800HS

        • Kay difference is the GPU. 780m > 680m

  • Tempted to get one of these instead of my lenovo yoga 9i. The extra inch on the screen might be nice and I don't use the touch screen features anyway.

  • Upgrading to 2 year onsite support with the battery upgrade brings the total to $1,378.41

Can get the 16" ideapad 5 from the normal lenovo store with 8845HS + 780M gfx + 16GB ram +1TB SSD + OLED screen for $1298 atm. So better cpu and integrated gpu but less ram, for cheaper - https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/configurator/cto/index.html?bun…

  • Laptop gurus, how does it compare to this?

14" v 15". FHD on an OLED - doesn't sound good. Also it's Intel vs AMD, I'll let someone else comment on that.
