$200 off Any Phone: e.g. Motorola G54 $79, Samsung A35 $99 Delivered (New Customers: Add Minimum $30 Prepaid Plan) @ amaysim

270

Similar to this deal, Amaysim is now offering a targeted $200 off coupon for their phone range. The G54 is now more expensive but still a good deal at $109 delivered ($79 device cost + $30 plan).

I couldn't live with paying more for the G54 than those who bought in July so I decided to pay more money to buy the Samsung A35 for $129 instead lol. OzBargain logic!

Some other deals that might work for others:

Coupon expires 31 August.

  • A35 for $299 seems like a better deal than the G84?

    • It's $200 off with a coupon but it's targeted.

      • Targeted? I'm not logged in and just saw the A35 is $299?

        • Oh he means $299+30 for the minimum 1 month plan.

        • @mortgagetightass you can get $200 off with a voucher code so the A35 becomes $99 + $30 phone plan = $129 delivered.

  • Are we able to cancel the plan after first month?

    • yes

    • Deselect auto renew.

    • +1

Yeah I didn't even open the sim card pack and they already activated the card and have auto renew setup, only when I received email saying they can't take money off me, then I quickly logon and switched the plan to PAYG.

  • Damn, voucher is getting better and higher value! A35 for $129 is just insane! bad luck i paid $349 from Telstra last week, it is still sealed, can I take it back for refund, so I can buy $299 from this deal instead?

    • Probably even better on 1 Sep.

  • +1

Why I never get target emails with discounts..

    • Your device is up to date.

      • The disclaimer about the device is total BS. I got a voucher code despite having my SIM in a 5G enabled device.

  • for someone with not much knowledge, what are the key diff between A35 & G54 and why A35 is better? both seem to have similar memory and storage.

    • +1

A35 has a better processor, better screen, better cameras and just better everything. It also has longer OS (4yrs) and Security updates (5yrs), compared to the measly 1 year OS update (From Android 13-14) and 2yrs security update for the G54.

      • So looking at comment below, set has 6gb over 8bg for Moto. Depends on the need I guess but that is minus for a35?

  • Does this apply to current customers?

    • If you have received the targeted email with the $200 voucher, then Sure, you can.
Otherwise you will buy with full price

      • Looks like I have not, no harm in contacting them and asking though I guess… Been with them for 6 almost 6 years on A $35 plan…

  • Any "cheap" esim phones?

  • Nooo I ordered a Samsung Galaxy A13 4G yesterday with a $150 targeted code (on the final day). $29+$30

  • +1

The Optus A35 is the 6GB variant. This one's probably the same so possibly less RAM vs G54.

    • G54 is unbeatable value for $29

  • +1

It's for the whole month, so I'll wait and see if another deal like the Moto $59 comes up.

    • +1

Yes, never give away the code. It may be worth more later.

  • How can I check if my phone will b impacted from September for sure. I keep getting this message every time I make call that I will b impacted. On my phone network settings, I have 3 options. 2g, 3g & prefer LTE. We have prefer LTE ticked. Phone in question is Poco X3 NFC.

    • +1

International phones usually require specific settings for VoLTE to work. You'll probably need to find a guide for the Poco X3 https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/9m01z7np.

      • Is Volte and 'prefer lte' same ?

        • To put it simply, Voice over LTE is calling over "data lines" rather than the cellular network - and VoWiFi can do this over your WiFi network. Make sure your phone has the correct bands and settings to do either of these.

Prefer LTE I'd assume to mean "Connect to '4G' wherever available", which will soon be the only thing available.

          So no, these are different.

  • How do I get a code
