Here's the forum post for announcing monthly members' awards. Every month I will be picking 4-5 contributors from the community, and each would be awarded with $100 prize in either PayPal fund or gift cards.

Seeing some new names is a welcome sight. Really mixes it up ;)
Congrats!
ndallen09's diagram belongs in a museum.
There was another one recently in one of the threads about a car accident that was a badly drawn animated gif. That was the real MVP.
If I can find it, I’ll link to it.
This one is the best yet…
@pegaxs: At the current trajectory, the 2030 awards nominees would have to produce two hour feature films with partial nudity, coarse language and adult themes.
@clear This. Is. Amazing.
I love you.
@Typical16-bitEnjoyer: I love you too
Hahaha did not see that one coming…
Never underestimate MS Paint.
Plenty of people do though ☹️
What kind of monster downvoted your comment…?
OMG WOW!
I didn't even know this was a thing! Honoured :)No one will ever beat gnv9.
I've gotten a few prizes through him/her.
Wow, 'competition of the month award' winner for 16 months straight.
That's some serious commitment right there.
Well done.
Thanks for the prize :) had no idea there were prizes for posting deals and bargains. What a great community we have here :D
February 2020
Here are the winners for last month:
iamprabhath for posting the deal of the month, Nonda Smart Vehicle Health Monitor Lite USD $0 + Shipping. Personally I still have no idea what it does but judging from the number of people voting this deal up — I guess our Automotive forum must be full of technical discussions. We still don't know how many would actually receive the product though.
dealbot for posting the most front-page deals — 68 out of 83 deals he posted got onto the OzBargain front page, averaging +152 votes, and the most popular being Bonus 40GB Data on 80GB/$150 12 Months Plan @ Boost Mobile and the deal Unleaded 98+ $1.279/L @ 7-Eleven Hampton won the race to front page in 15 minutes 27 seconds.
gnv9 continues to dominate the competition postings on OzBargain with 210 comps posted in February, most popular being Win a Giant Defy Advanced Pro 1 Bike from Giant Bicycle.
robinCTS is the moderators' pick of the month, being a very helpful power user picking up lots of duplicates in the Giveaway megathread and general helpfulness.
Congratulations!
Thanks a lot!
I had a lot of fun tracking down those duplicate Kogan voucher requests.
March 2020
Lots of work from home related deals. Winners from last month:
eternalconflux for posting the deal of the month, Free AT99 Microphones @ Audio Technica Australia. It received 1500+ votes and 86,000+ clicks. Unfortunately it appears that many people won't be getting the free mic as Audio Technica only reserved 2,000 units.
Coastie for posting the most popular Mobile deal (and 2nd most popular overall), Bonus 10GB Bonus Mobile Data @ Boost Mobile. It was originally a Telstra deal that turned out also worked for Boost. Bonus data should hopefully be useful for those working from home with unstable broadband connections.
tightarse for posting one of the most popular COVID-19 relief deals, Free Takeaway Meals Daily for Senior Citizens at Aangan Indian Restaurants. TA has posted 22 deals in March, every single one of them got onto the OzBargain home page. For more COVID-19 relief related deals please see check the tag page.
Lysander for posting the most deals in March 2020 (154 deals), mostly free/cheap games that hopefully helped some of us getting through isolation. Most popular being Free Watch Dogs and Stanley Parable, World War Z and Figment and Tormentor x Punisher and Gone Home and Hob. Thanks Epic Store!
Congratulations!
Congratulations to the winners. I loved reading all your posts!
Thank you Scotty. Greatly appreciated :)
April 2020
Another month, and many of us are still working from home. Here are the winners for April.
dealbot for posting the most voted deal last month, Free Total War: SHOGUN 2 @ Steam, which adds another entry to many OzBargainers' ever-growing game library that is waiting to be played. dealbot has also posted the most clicked deal, 40% off Everything for Club Members @ adidas and have posted 106 deals with +156.81 vote average.
gnv9 for posting the most voted competition last month, Win a SONIQ 65" Ultra HD TV from SONIQ. gnv9 has also posted 215 competitions in April, and there's virtually no competition there for her to win an award.
Lysander for posting the most deals in April. He has already won an award for that in March, and it appears that he has just shifted up another gear and posted 252 deals last month with vote average +22.11.
And lastly, this month's fast deal award goes to emilytee who posted Dettol Instant Liquid Hand Sanitizer 50ml $2.69 at Amazon at 1:14AM in the morning, got onto the OzBargain home page in 7 minutes and 2 seconds, and the deal got marked as sold out at 1:23AM. Kudos to all the mid-night sanitiser hunters for scoring this.
Congratulations!
Woah! The competition is so intense!
Thanks Scotty and Congratulations to Winners!
May 2020
We are getting close to the middle of the year! Like last month, the most voted deals are again free games from Epic Store, so I won't be rewarding any deal from the Gaming category. Here are the winners for May 2020:
dv1den for posting most popular non-gaming deal, $15 off Your Order @ Menulog. 1.4k votes and expired within 5 hours. Glad that many people got free/cheap dinner/supper on the day.
toasty for posting this salty deal, Saxa Iodised Table Salt 750g $0.25 from Amazon. It's the fastest non-gaming deal reaching home page but got ozbargained within 10 minutes. Well done for those who have actually received it.
hellohi for posting the most popular deal under the Internet category, Residential Gigabit nbn Plans on FTTP and HFC 1000/50Mbps $149/Month @ Aussie Broadband. It's also the most popular non-gaming "Upcoming deal" on OzBargain last month. For May, 194 out 3,968 deals posted (~5%) were "Upcoming deal" (or Deals Starting Soon). It has actually been a bit of headache for the moderators, as in some cases we need to figure out whether the announcements are official, or just a 3rd party speculating. Recently we have also updated posting guidelines that "Upcoming deals should not be posted more than 90 days in advance".
batrarobin for posting the most popular competition Telstra Plus 1st Birthday Gift Giveaway of $1.7m prize from Telstra. It's still running until coming Sunday. Wish me luck.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to all the winners. Keep up the good work.
June 2020
Winners for June 2020:
odysseus for posting the most upvoted deal last month, American Express Shop Small - Spend $10 or More & Get $5 Back, with 1.1k+ votes. Shop Small has started early this year and runs for more than 2 months to hopefully boost some local economy. Last year it was targeted but was still popular.
jobargain for posting one of the fastest rising deal last month, Google Nest Mini 2nd Generation $19 at Officeworks, with +775 votes and marked as expired less than 4 hours after posting. It reached +30 votes in 5'43" and +100 votes in 14'36". Congratulations to those who scored one (or missed out due to the new broden wannabe).
nocure for getting the most deals on the OzBargain front page last month, who posted 118 deals and 76 of them get enough votes from the community to get onto the front page, most popular being ½ Price Nongshim Shin Ramyun Noodles 600g 5pk $3 @ Coles.
gnv9 for ruling over the competition section of OzBargain again, who has posted 179 comps with +17.5 votes. Most voted comp being Win 1 of 5 Chocolate Block Packages Worth $169.50 from Haigh's, and one with most entrants is Win a MacBook Air, LG Monitor, Mini Fridge & Cold Press Coffee from Beforeyouspeak. OzBargainers love chocolate but desires MacBook Air?
Congratulations!
Congratulations to all the winners. Well done.
Thanks, never knew this existed :)
July 2020
Winners from last month:
dealbot for posting the most popular deal last month, Free Watch Dogs 2 @ Ubisoft. It's just another game that gets added to my long queue of free Steam / Epic / Obisoft games that need to be played. dealbot has also posted 65 deals in July where 59 of them got onto the OzBargain front page.
sixcurve for posting the most clicked deal last month, 60,000 Free Domino's Pizzas. Together with 50,000 Free Pizza Hut Pizzas posted by dealbot, that would pretty much feed all the OzBargainers this month. Still one day to go to grab more free food tomorrow.
On the topic of freebies, headphonejack posted the quickest deal that made to front page & +100 votes — Free Case of Koyomi Delivered @ Beam Suntory. It got to +100 votes in less than 12 minutes, where all 1,000 were claimed by then (otherwise it would probably get more votes).
nocure for making the most front-page deals again this month. nocure has posted 121 deals (2nd in July) but 69 of them got onto the OzBargain front page with vote average of +56.55. Most popular being Free eBook - Learn to Play Piano on Amazon Kindle.
Congratulations!
August 2020
Winners from last month:
Lysander for posting last month's most voted deal — Free HITMAN and Shadowrun Collection at Epic Store. That continues the trend of free games from big marketplaces getting high votes. Lysander has also posted the most deals in August — 185 of deals with vote average of +29.5 (180 of them are under the Gaming category).
nqcthanh for posting the most popular Electrical / Electronics deal last month, Sony WH-1000XM4 Noise Cancelling Headphones $351 at The Good Guys Commercial. Electrical & Electronics has been the category getting the most deals last month, and I suspect WH-1000XM4 would actually be one of the most popular item on OzBargain this year. Good job for the great 1st post as well.
gnv 9 for posting 201 competitions in August, with vote average of +16.9, including the most voted comp Win Sony Prize Packs or Sony WH-1000XM4 from Sony and most clicked comp Win a Volkswagen T-Roc X from Sydney Swans/Volkswagen. That's 45% of all the competitions in August.
Hargain Bunter for being an awesome power user in August, as recommended by the moderators. He has been very helpful in assisting the moderators.
Congratulations!
September 2020
Winners from last month:
sss333 for the most popular deal last month. Yes it was a free game again — Tom Clancy's The Division from Ubisoft. Pretty nice freebie for a 4yo 3rd person shooter. In fact the top 4 deals posted last were all free games. 58 freebies were posted under the Gaming category in September — check out our Free Games page.
TheWineFamily for posting the most popular non-gaming deal, 2012 Wynns Black Label Shiraz Giftbox: 1 Bottle for $11 from Wynns. In fact it's by far the most popular deal in the new Alcohol category so far this year.
mazeem82 for posting the most clicked bargain last month — Skechers Men's Dynamight Shoes $9.99 that completely ozbargained the Skechers' website, which probably generated even more click-throughs. It even beats out an HJ voucher post in terms of clicks. The deal ended up getting marked as expired 2 hours later. Kudos to those who scored one.
polstralian for posting the quickest deal getting onto OzBargain front page in September — Seagate 5TB Backup Plus Portable Drive $97 from Amazon AU. It was posted at 4PM, appeared on front page at 4:07PM, and then went out of stock at 4:08PM. Yup the OzBargain way — buy first and ask later.
Congratulations!
Thanks!
Did not think that deal would get that many votes.
Thank you! Very nice news to wake up to.
I LIKE THIS PROGRAM
Thank you so much guys! 😊
Thank you very much OzBargain…Quite honestly my first time winning anything like this on mainstream forum.Much Appreciated
Congratulations to all the four winners! And great kudos for also commenting here!
October 2020
Here are the winners:
gamemaster for posting the deal of the month, Borat Subsequent MovieFilm Added to Amazon Prime Video. Still have not seen the movie and have no idea why this one won, especially considering how useful the second place was. But the community decides here I guess.
dealbot for making the most deals on the OzBargain front page. He has posted 60 deals in October, and 56 of them getting onto the front page with vote average of 186.25, most popular being Free Sonic The Hedgehog 2 @ Steam.
Lysander for taking the crown of most deals posted, at 214 deals with vote average of 21.88. The top 3 most popular deals posted by Lysander were all free games from Epic Store — Costume Quest 2 and Layers of Fear 2, Abzu and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
gnv 9 for again posting the most competitions, at 202 comps posted with vote average of 17.99. Most popular being Win a Sony/Samsung/MacBook Air Prize Package from Aussie Broadband.
Congratulations!
November 2020
Late announcement, but here are the winners:
living4music for posting the most popular non-rep deal of the month, 15% off Nintendo eShop, TCN, Google Play Gift Cards @ Coles, with +830 votes and some negative votes mostly complaining about TCN. Most voted deal in November however went to $10 Bonus Cashback at Cashrewards by TA.
However tightarse and Cashrewards totally dominated the stats in November so he still deserves an award. Including the most voted deal (linked above), 2nd most voted deal ($5 cashback), and the 5th (12% Amazon), 6th ($5 bonus Woolies gift card) and 7th (PayPal return shipping refund) most voted deals. And most clicked deal (40% off adidas outlet). 18 deals from TA has got enough votes to be on the front page in November. Also congrats on the CR IPO.
GetRichOrDieBuying for a great first post, 2×Aperol Aperitivo 700ml + 2×Zonin Prosecco Brut Nv 750ml $36 @ BWS. Black Friday / Cyber Monday weekend was the busiest weekend of 2020 at OzBargain, and looking at all the top BF/CM deals — they are mostly Cashrewards, ShopBack, Amazon or eBay deals. The BWS deal was actually one of the most voted non-CR/SB/AMZ/eBay deal during the BF/CM weekend.
dealbot for getting the most number of votes on deals posted in November. He has posted 92 deals, 83 got onto the front page, and together received 15,600 votes from the community, more than double of the second place.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to all winners. Well done and well deserved. Thank you for your efforts and work.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone.December 2020

neilpatrickharris for posting the most popular non-rep deal, 10% Cashback Every Saturday in December Using Tap & Pay @ Zip It has received +876 votes and near 2,500 comments. The most popular deal actually went to this Amazon cashback offer from Cashrewards posted by TA.
cam83 for posting the most clicked deal last month, JB Hi-Fi Boxing Day Sale Catalogue. The deal has been clicked over 50,000 times as the catalogue was leaked almost a week before the Boxing Day, but also got a take down request from the catalogue distributor.
bargrin for posting the fastest non-rep deal getting onto the front page, PlayStation 5 Console $749.95 @ Amazon AU. Yes it's an RRP deal but reached front page in 5 minute & 20 seconds, and sold out 3 minutes later.

Congratulations to all the winners. All well deserved. And I hope you all had a great and safe Christmas and started 2021 in a good way!
January 2020
Welcome to the monthly awards for 2020. Winners for last month are:
hek666 for posting the most voted deal last month, Telstra Waiving December and January Mobile Bills for Volunteer Firefighters. In fact 4 of the top 5 deals from January were bushfire relief related (Free Accommodation at Oaks Hotels, Free Accommondation at AirBnb, Free Replacement Passports, etc).
Merelee for posting the most voted deal that wasn't bushfire related, City Maps 2Go Pro or Premium Offline Maps Free at Google Play, saves $19.99 or $26.99 on one of the best offline maps available on mobile.
gnv9 for again dominating the competition postings on OzBargain. 240 comps were posted. Most voted being Win 1 of 5 Sony WF-1000XM3 Headphone + Gift Card from Sony, and most entered Win 1 of 3 Microsoft Surface Go Tablets from Roadshow.
ndallen09 for correctly following the OzBargain convention by providing an explanatory diagram (most probably drawn with MS Paint) in his "who is at fault" forum post. The comment happens to be one of the most voted comments last month, showing the overwhelming approval from the OzBargain community.
Congratulations!
