Same here - just made all my planned purchases at 10am

      • +1

        Get refund buy again

    • I think you can cancel order to get refund

  • +14

    $208.33 to get max benefit.

    • +14

      Actually it’s $229.17.

      • Is that minus GST?

        • +3

You don’t get cashback on GST

      • +1

        ugh. gst.

    • +6

      excluding delivery, taxes & GST.
So it's $208.33 exl GST or $229.16 incl GST.

      • +4

        exl GST, $229.16 or $229.17.. I'm confused now !!!

        • +6

So if I spend $1000, would I still only get the max $25 cashback or will the remaining $770.84 that was spent use the usual 5% cashback for electronics?

e.g. SPEND $1000 on Electronics (Usually 5% Cashback)
$229.16: Gets 12% Cash back (totals $25.00 which is the cap)
          $770.84: Gets 5% Cash back (totals $38.54)

          Total Cashback: $63.54

Would that be right? Or would I only get $25 cashback on the $1000 spend?

Time to stock up on Amazon GCs via Zip for extra 10% off

    • +2

Didn’t neg but does that work?

      • +3

Yes it does, you can get $500 worth of gift cards and only pay $450. Then the 12% cashback on top. Not sure why he is being negged..

        • That’s neat. Wish I did that instead of buying things with zip directly. Would have made use of the full $500 too

        • Cashrewards don't work on gift cards i thought? It even says so in the OP.

          • +2

@No Child Support: You can't get cashback if you purchase a gift card. However, you can get cashback if you use a gift card to purchase.

          • +2

@No Child Support: His/her post isn't clear. They are going to buy the Amazon GCs via Zip, and then purchase goods on Amazon and pay using those GCs during the upsized cashback period.

            • @Charlie Dont Surf: With the Zip pay 10% off, if I purchase 2 x $500 Amazon Gift cards seperatly, will I get the $50 cashback cap twice? E.g. one for each order or can you only hit the cap once?

              • +3

@graceyym: "You may spend more than $500AUD during the Offer Period and still be eligible for the Offer, however the 10% credit back is limited to a maximum of $50AUD."

It looks pretty clear that the $50 cap relates to your Zip account overall, not the particular purchase on Amazon. So I would say you should limit it to $500 to be sure. Just my reading of it, though.

            • -1

@Charlie Dont Surf: Can you not just pay with Zip or does it not stack with CR?

              • +1

@Geoff-bargain: The idea is to buy Amazon gift cards and pay for them with Zip (getting your 10% saving there) and then purchasing on Amazon through thr CW portal to get the additional 12% cashback thus arvo.

But, yes, what you say shoukd work without any drama. You just don't get the max benefit from Zip of $50.

    • Does ZIP do credit checks?
I'm sure it's been asked before.

      • +5

        Yes

    • Can you actually withdraw that 10% from Zip, making it a 10% off, (so you pay 90% for the purchase)

or is it more like get 10% Zip credit with your purchase kind of thing? (so you pay 100% for the purchase but get 110% worth)

      • You pay 90% of the purchase. Say product costs $100. You get charged $100, and you get a $10 credit leaving your outstanding balance at $90.

        • Hmm… Maybe I checked the wrong articles but they don't seem to give you back the 10%.
From my understanding it still seems to be pretty much a "we will give you 10% credit for future purposes" kind of deal.
So it fits more into the category of "paying 100% and getting 110%". Not "pay 90% and get 100%".

Another thing I noticed is that on their website it says that they have an account fee: $6/month waived if you have no balance.
And on Canstar this is what they have said:

Zip Pay charges a $6 account keeping fee if you have a balance on your account

So whatever I end up saving from this 10% zip pay credit bonus, will end up into their pockets monthly if I don't spend it off right away? Is this correct?

Sorry if I am being excessively cautious but this is the first time I am going to be using an online credit card, where I won't have a bank to talk to if I have issues.

Edit: After looking through some pages of user comments I have managed to resolve some of my queries.

Edit 2: Decided to yolo it, everything went BETTER than expected! It was indeed a pay 90% and get 100%. You get credited the cashback before you need to make payment!

    • Do Zip transactions impact the credit history if the amount isn't paid back timely?

      • If you don't pay on time by Zip rules ($40 min by due date I think) it will likely impact the credit history.

Got so excited, then saw $25 cap :(

    • +8

Same - I just got $60ish back from Shopback on Friday.
CR need to up their game!

      • +6

I will still stick with CR. SB is way too dodgy for me

        • Yep agree. Got a suspicious login on my Spotify account due to SB. Never again.

          • @neo: I’m curios how did someone access your Spotify account as a result of ShopBack? I remember SB got hacked or something but not sure of full details

            • +14

@JAF: Wouldnt have been a problem if OP didnt reuse the same password for everything…

            • @JAF: Probably similar login details for both accounts.

  • +1

So Cashrewards app >> Amazon app will work in tracking the transaction?

    • cashrewards app can't open Amazon app, it will only take you to amazon mobile website.

  • Good job TA.

  • -1

If this was capped at $35, I would cancel my preorder during SB's cb

  • S&S?

    • +2

Cashback is ineligible on purchase of vouchers, gift cards, kindle unlimited, audible, mobile apps, subscribe & save items, prime subscriptions.

      Think it’s a no go

      • Purchases paid with gift cards are eligible for cashback (not Amazon credit).

        It states that above here

        • On purchases of gift cards vs purchases made with gift cards

  • -1

Sorry for the stupid question but does "All Categories" cover Mobile Phones?

    • Yes

      • +1

        Thanks FireRunner!

    • That's not a stupid question.

  • +1

Quick question - does cashback apply for Amazon UK items sold on Amazon AU?

    • Yes it does

  • +1

Does it include items sold by 3rd party but fulfilled by Amazon?

I tried buying something during the $10 bonus from $10 spend during Black Friday in Electronics category that was immediately denied once tracked?

  • +5

If I buy $1000 of stuff that has a normal rate of 5% cashback during this time, how much cashback would I get?

Is it $25 total, or 12% on the first $208 ($25 cashback) then 5% on the balance, or 5% on everything?

  • Maybe Xbox Series S Console with this $25 and $15 off for 3% gift cards at $460 is ok .
No needs full 12% on it :)

Not for me but its going to fall .

    • +1

it shuld be….i bought during Shopback offer and it stacked.

  • +1

    A shame that’s it’s capped at $25 per account.

    • +1

Say if I purchase something for $1000 from Amazon which already has a 5% cashback via cashRewards, do I get 12% cashback up to the cap value ($25) and the remainder will be at 5% as per normal Cashback or will I still only get $25 max cashback ?

  • +1

Anyone know does it include items from Amazon UK via AU?

  • +2

Good job giving us a 2 hour window to shop. Had one question - if we use coupons (like new user 20 off 79 or 10 off App only coupon), is the transaction still eligible for cashback?

  • great

  • +2

will this include stuff sold by Amazon US through the au app?

  • +1

those condom deals this morning are looking even cheaper :)

  • Cashreward still hasn't tracked my Amazon transaction from last week. Delays with Amazon tracking?

    • Two of my transactions on last Friday (uniqlo and dan murphys) weren't tracked on cashrewards while the other 2 from shopback got tracked. Never had problem with cashrewards tracking before though.

  • +2

Buy from Amazon Australia but ship from US OK?

    • yes, please let us know if this is ok

  • Will I still be eligible if I apply the $10 off Amazon mobile app code?

    • No. Don't use Amazon app if you want cashback.

  • Hi,
In regards to the cap on the recent under armour 30% CASHBACK of $25. Does that apply to per order or per account.

    Thanks

    • What 30% CB on UA? I don't see it.

      • I think it was yesterday?

        • I didnt see it, ohwell most of the good stuff is long gone.

          • @[Deactivated]: Shopback has it up again.

            • @ATangk: thanks, everyone is basically sold out which is good but theres a pair of shoes!!

Its from 12-4 so not sure why you don't see it.

        • This post was under cashrewards.com uh I did end up finding it under shop pack

  • Dam, I already bought my PS5 :L

    • I highly doubt theirs ANY PS5S IN STOCK

      • Me too, not til December at least. Mines shipped already so its not worth waiting just to save $25.

  • +5

Will I get cashback if I pay via zippay

  • If tracking tracked, I could get
HyperX CloudX Flight for $150 after CB!

  • Would've been nice to get this CB % on Black Friday :-(

  • Looking for clarification on "Purchases paid with gift cards are eligible for cashback (not Amazon credit)." please.

Under My Amazon account, Gift Card screen: https://www.amazon.com.au/balance?ref_=ya_d_c_gc
It says: Your Gift Card Balance: $xx"

For cash back purposes, is this considered a Gift Card purchase or an Amazon Credit?
