Added to OP, thanks.
Flying there, I am in the blue helicopter!
Still have my 129 from the other day, oh well, only 2 cents.
what is the best app to change my mobile location, when i use fake app its not working.
For Android, use the modified apk which do not required changing gps location anymore
For iOS, has to host the python and run it to lock
Thanks where to get that apk?
If you don't, you don't deserve to get the candy..
thanks! awesome! my locked 136 from last week just expired
Cheers for the heads up!
amazing, I auctually got the notification before I saw this post :P
This is my local, and they consistently have preferable prices.
The hilarious part is that there's a BP whose price board you can SEE from this fuel court, and they are consistently more expensive.
I don't understand how the BP gets any business!?
Near worthless frequent flyer points (now Qantas). You could roll all your savings from fueling up at 7 eleven into buying points off someone and come out waaaay ahead..
Look at house prices there.
I'm sure they aren't struggling
Every bit counts.
not for the Hampton mob.
And the Hampton Park mob on the other hand….
@SupeNintendoChalmers: Hah! I've lived in both suburbs: 3 weeks in HP and close to 3 years in Hampton. I didn't mind either. Although the neighbours were friendlier in HP and taught me a few mauritan creole words :)
My car runs smoother with BP and I get a touch better fuel economy. If I wasnt getting any discounts at woolies and paying with egift, I would be using BP.
It differs with cars though. An old car ran smoother and better economy on Shell 98 (Was called Optinax back then).
Complete placebo effect, the fuel's are the same with slight changes in additives
I fill up my families cars most of the time and they dont know what fuel has gone in but the economy consistently changes with the brand.
How do you you explain the temp gauge running hotter as being a placebo when using optimax back in the day, even when the weather was cooler?
How do you you explain the temp gauge running hotter as being a placebo when using optimax back in the day, even when the weather was cooler?
Check your coolant levels
Global Warming?
@cwongtech: Coolant levels were all the same. They went back down when i changed to a different brand.

It could be due to different driving styles (going to high RPMs would definitely heat up the engine more, not necessarily the fuel type) - or stop start traffic could also not be as intensive.
All I have are stories from people who have worked in the petroleum refinery industry, they say the base fuel is the same, but the brands add their own additives.
All I have from you is a story of a temp gauge running hotter on different fuel
Who knows, unless you get two identical engines in two cars with new tyres, both doing a baseline measurement with one fuel type, then comparing the fuel consumed from each fuel brand, we cannot claim we can explain anything between the different brands.
@cwongtech: You do realise that those different additives can and do make a difference?
I could have left the car idling for 10 minutes or more and the result still would have been the same and the car ran hotter.
You do realise that those different additives can and do make a difference?
Sure, but a noticeable difference?
Nothing personal but unless you have a spreadsheet full of fuel consumption data which repeatedly indicates one brand brings better fuel efficiency than the other, there's no way you can make a claim of better fuel economy based on the temperature gauge..
@cwongtech: I'm not claiming fuel consumption based on temp gauge.
I'm saying different fuel can affect the car and temps were one visible sign that could be measured since you gave excuses why fuel economy cant be a valid reason due to traffic, higher rpm .
I agree, those are factors but when you get lower fuel economy over same roads all the time just by changing fuel brand, it isnt a placebo. I tracked them for about 6 months after we had the cars for 15K km to find out what worked best. I wouldnt be making the claim if I hadnt have tracked it.

What were your findings?
I'd be very interested to know, what was the fuel economy of each brand that you found?
I also track the amount of fuel used on my personal car for the purpose of planning my finances, however my data is not suitable for comparing brands as I almost fill up exclusively on 7/11 98 because of the price glitches.
When there are no price glitches available, and I'm low, then I switch to Woolworths Caltex 95 using eGift and 4c voucher.
Personally I don't notice any difference between 95 and 98 fuel, or from my limited data, the fuel consumption between the two.
I'm saying different fuel can affect the car and temps were one visible sign that could be measured since you gave excuses why fuel economy cant be a valid reason due to traffic, higher rpm .
I didn't give excuses, they're suggestions, different potential factors that could potentially affect results.
Unless you do an isolated test where the conditions are exactly the same, no red lights all the way, all highway driving, cruising at the same speed, no traffic, same coolant levels, same engine oil levels, air filters are new, you use the exact same fuel pump to eliminate any measurement inaccuracies at the same station, at the same exact ambient temperature, we can't really throw away the possibility of placebo.
Perhaps, you're right, who knows, we don't have much sample data, only people's words.
@cwongtech: The fuel economy differences ranged from 0.1-0.4L/100km difference. Only used Caltex, BP or Shell. Only ever used Mobile a few times as our local doesnt stock 98 Ron.
Car 1 - Shell. But ran hotter.
Car 2 - Shell
Car 3 - BP
Car 4 - Caltex
Car 5 - BP. Caltex was close except for 1 particular caltex station.
Car 6 - Not much difference between each brand
Car 7 - BP best economy
Have not done it on current cars.
UFO's ready! Cheers!
Noticed SE Melb suburbs this morning some stations are trying it on @ $1.74
Time to lock in the fuel you use…
A couple days ago I went to a station that was $1.91!
This rain is gonna be a bit difficult to take off in.
Time to wake the girlfriend up and go on a surprise date to Hampton. Not sure what else we'll do there, I'll take her to the local KFC maybe.
They have pies at 7-eleven right?
She's a vegan. I really know how to pick 'em.
Get her some E85
@NebulAe: Can't have E85, remains of animals (dinosaur's)
As long you get to eat what you like right? :D
Affordable lunch date right here
She'll be thrilled to go to KFC then.
@shiznit: I brought a bag of frozen peas. She'll be right mate.
@dinglejerry: I'd save those peas for Valentine's Day if I were you.
@shiznit: Slip her an Imperfect Zucchini
@shiznit: Their vegan burgers taste just like real chicken!
Get my Spaceship ready.
filled up with last week's 132.9 yesterday, don't think I need to refill for another 3 weeks. But locked in anyway.
Same here. Just fill up towards expiry when you drive past any
Anyone can suggest the way I can enable the gps mockup? I am not able to enable the developer mode for gps in my android 7-11 app
keep tabbing build number in your phone's setting should enable developer options, in there you can seelect mock location app.
The 7-11 app block me from mock location :-(
Freighter/master131 helicopter APK. Enough said.
I need to do this for when I'm in Melbourne/Sydney.
Anyone got any tips on how to lock in the price/info?
From TAS, I assume that as mentioned above I'll need GPS Spoofing to pretend I'm near said servo?
There should be a post somewhere on here how to take advantage of this. The 7/11 app on your mobile will probably detect GPS spoofing, so people usually use a NOX android emulator on a PC and spoof the location on that.
Yes. You’ll need to spoof your GPS location to get the best price nationwide. This thread will help you. Read the OP and search the comments before asking any questions.
System down for maintenance
Yep
Sigh
Yep :(
Yup
They really trying for us to not get this price :( Maintenance my arse
once again I'm too late :(
Take one for the team and nag 7eleven to get it up
App says the server is under maintenance? Anyone else got this or is it just me?
Only you….. if you don't count the 6 posts above yours
Saw that after I pressed the button :P LOL (page refreshed after submit)
It’s back up
locked… Brilliant!
It's back up and working - managed to lock it in!
Cant login still :(
Says system down for maintenance
Yup went down again.. as soon as It was looking for the cheapest price it started to come up with An error and then went into system maintenance.
The server is under maintenance again on Android app.
Something's wrong with the system. I got onto it for a brief moment between the 2 timeouts. Unfortunately my credit card had expired and I had significant trouble adding a new one on - it constantly got rejected, and my debit card was also rejected. Next time I should just leave the funds on my 7-11 card. Because I use it so intermittently I usually pay via the card at the counter, but I don't think it's worth it for stuffing around with the topup today.
Just FYI for all of those commenting about maintenance - the system is intermittant at the moment. Keep trying and it will lock.
mine won't show fuel prices and so can't lock
An unknown error occurred. Please try again later
Yep same thing :-(
Might be purging the accounts of all the chopper pilots?
Maybe this deal was a honeypot?
Doubt it
Mine app still show expired fuel deal (already been used), the old balance.
Can't use the app to find and lock this deal.
Now it says location error
New error.. "No internet connectivity!"
Mr Stark I don't feel so good …
Yup
same here
Yep Same :(
Same error
Yep, can't login at all.
If I'm not mistaken, this has been the cheapest since Mar 2019. 7-Eleven sure knows when to use the maintenance card to stop it losses .
Any good way of unlocking a previous lock? I assume you could just go and fill up 1 dollar and it will unlock?
Correct but 2L
Minimum 2 litres
Pump says Min 2L delivery
Damn I just tried and still locked in at the old price for 6 days even though it says single use…
Looks like u have to use up the litres u locked in before it will unlock…
@cwongtech: Mine is still locked at my previous lock price.
@bingsta: If you use 2L the existing lock will lapse.
@dinglejerry: Def filled up >2L and def had my voucher scanned / redeemed at the counter…unless it takes a while to register and unlock…
@cwongtech: Mine is still locked at my previous lock price.
Sign out and sign in - it should disappear immediately..
Perhaps it has to do with 7/11 server issues.
I've had to burn stupid fuel locks before
@cwongtech: thx will try….but also getting foxtrot error. ozbargainers overloading the server?
