Another year and here's another forum post for announcing monthly members' awards. Every month I will be picking some contributors from the community (usually after looking at the stats), and each would be awarded with $100 prize in either PayPal fund or gift cards.

Neat! thanks to scotty and the mods. Congrats to Lysander, dealbot and name not-important 👍
ur name makes me hungyy
Why? They are now made in Egypt. Shame on you Twix.
Congratulations to you as well. Thank you very much for your work and efforts.
If one were so inclined, they could be making $1200 a year from posting deals. That by itself should be a deal 🤔
Thanks Scotty - that's awesome!
February 2021
Winners from last month:
brandogs for posting the most popular deals last month, Free 'Bag for Good' Each Week for 4 Weeks from Everyday Rewards. It was also the most clicked deal last month. Moreover, brandogs also posted the 2nd most popular deal in February, Ratchet & Clank - Free @ PlayStation Store.
gnv9 for posting the most popular competitions in February, Win an ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, the second most popular Win an MSI MEG Trident X Gaming PC and 75 other competitions last month.
dealbot for the most front-paged users on OzBargain, 2nd time already this year. dealbot has posted 52 deals, 47 of them got enough votes (+30) to be on the front page, including the 3rd most popular deal last month, Free - Rage 2 @ Epic Games.
tightarse for having some of the quickest raising deals on OzBargain last month. These two deals got +30 votes within 10 minutes, and these two within 12 minutes. I guess having 220+ people subscribed to your account helps.
Congratulations to all the winners!
There will be some changes to the OzBargain front page next week. The new front page algorithm will be made default to both users and guests, although users can revert back to the old purely vote based ones. We'll be in a transition period where the idea of "deals on the front page" can be ambiguous, as the front page RSS feed, front page notification, etc are still based on old hard-coded votes.
Congratulations to all the winners. Well done and thank you for your contributions.
March 2021
Winners from last month:
cooni for posting most voted deal in March, KFC Hacks - 21 Pieces of Chicken $21, 30 Nuggets $10, Regular Chips $1, 3 Nugget Go Bucket $2.50. +1200 votes and contributions from other members such as Rrocky and littlesoldier. Thanks for this finger licking deal.
aspirepranesh for posting the quickest raising deal last month, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury $39 Delivered @ Amazon AU that took less than 13 minutes to get over 100 votes.
Lysander for posting the most deals in March. He has posted 190 deals with average votes of +21.6. The 2 most popular deals posted by Lysander last month turned out not games, but Free Miracast For Android to TV and Free PlayStation 2 Encyclopedia PDF.
gnv9 for dominating the competition section in OzBargain again last month, posting 102 comps and most popular being Win a Hisense 75” ULED 8K Series TV Worth $6,999.
Congratulations!
Mod edit: Fixed typo.
I didn't even know this was a thing! Makes revealing the exploit a little sweeter ;)
Good to see it being mixed up a bit. Though qnv9 must be her sister? ;)
Congrats!
April 2021
Winners from last month:
MSG for posting the deal of the month, Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus $64,425 Delivered. Thanx OP, also bought 5!
skido for posting the fastest deal to reach +100 votes, UGG Slippers $0 Delivered @ Source Co International eBay. It took 14 minutes and half to cross the century. I shall see some of you sporting one at the next OzBargain meetup!
puffinfresh for posting the most voted competition last month, Win 12 Months NBN, Fetch, Netflix, Stan and a Google Nest from Aussie Broadband. Drawing on Monday and hopefully some of you win!
Lysander for posting the most deals last month. He has posted 225 deals with vote average of +31.6, and the most popular being Free ProShot on both Android & iOS.
Congratulations!
Imagine my delight when I saw a PM from the one and only scotty!
Thanks :)Thank you very much and Congratulations to all other winners!
Congrats well deserved.
Same to everyone else :)
May 2021
Winners from last month:
skido for posting the most voted deal last month that's not posted by a rep, $10 off $20 Min Spend with AfterPay on Eligible Items @ eBay. Reason it got so many votes was that eBay initially had an issue with the coupon code, where there was no minimum spend hence many items under 10 bux became freebies, without a need to sign up to Afterpay. Most voted deal from a rep last month was $10 Cashback with $30 Spend Offer from Cashrewards, posted by tightarse.
gnv9 for posting the most voted competition last month that's not posted by a rep, Win a Volkswagen T-Roc X or Weekly Prizes from Sydney Swans/Volkswagen. Car-competitions have always been popular, as the next highest voted comp was from Smalot11 to Win a Hyundai Venue Elite from Wipertech. The most voted comp from a rep last month was again posted by tightarse, Win 1 of 3 Prizes of a Purple iPhone 12 & Double Cashback for 12 Months from Cashrewards.
ozmma for posting the most clicked deal last month, Up to 50% off adidas @ eBay Australia. adidas deals have been very popular on OzBargain for some reason. I guess BOOST is Life.
Special recommendation from the moderators — shadow131 for offering many Samsung Shop vouchers for free to many ozbargainers asking for it. A true hero indeed.
Congratulations!
Cool. Thanks guys :)
Congrats to everyone else too!
Congratulations to everyone! Well done and thank you all for your good work and contributions.
June 2021
Winners from last month:
tightarse for posting the most voted non-rep deal last month, Free Curry Meals for Jobless/Battlers/Elderly @ Tandoori Flames Indian Restaurant. TA has also posted the most voted rep deal last month as well, 10 Bonus Cashback on $30 Spend @ Cashrewards. TA has posted 14 deals in June with vote average of +562.
dealbot for posting the most clicked deal last month, Hungry Jack's Vouchers until September 2021. Most voted deal from dealbot was Free Game Control from Epic Games, and dealbot has posted 59 deals in June with vote average of +265.
gnv9 for posting the most voted competition, Win Eneloop Rechargeable Battery & Charger from Panasonic, and the most entered competition, Win a Dyson V15 Detect Stick Vacuum & Hot+Cool Purifier from Babyology, in June. gnv9 posted 32.6% of all the competitions on OzBargain in June.
Twix for his continuous contributions as an OzBargain power user, editing & fixing deals when they got posted by the community. Twix has edited 630 deals in June, and has edited 5,300 deals since the beginning of the year when he was appointed a Power User.
Congratulations!
congrats Twix
Yay some good news to wake up to. Congrats to TA, dealbot and gnv9 and thanks to scotty!
We should all do your job. Rewards for making the smallest pedantic edits on everything :P :P
No but seriously there's a lot of proper deals that aren't consistent or missing crucial information to be updated. So congrats for that hard work :)
Thanks Clear. Do you know you can go In-Store? 😆
@Twix: Click-and-collect by definition in many dictionaries specially mentions collecting instore. It's unnecessary to add that on.
@Clear: Go In-Store and pickup the item yourself without logging into your account and waiting. Some stores are now charging for C&C if you spend under a certain amount.
@Twix: Oh have I been misunderstanding this the whole time? So it's actually saying free click & collect AND go instore to get it yourself? Normally deals would say if they're instore only and don't mention that you can go instore when C&C and delivery is available.
@Clear: I read it as saying free/$x C&C via account login or go in-store to pickup yourself without account login.
@Twix: That's not how I read it all. Raises the next question of what needs instore and what doesn't? These kind of things aren't consistent amongst many stores, like Aldi/IKEA/7-Eleven that don't mention the States in the title despite not being nationwide stores. While other stores that are only in some states do have it mentioned, e.g. [WA] Spud Shed.
July 2021
Winners from last month,
tightarse for posting the top 3 most voted deals in July, $5 credit from Amazon, Free Indian Meals from Nilgiri's and $5 Bonus Cashback from Cashrewards. TA posted only 6 deals in July with +590 average votes. Definitely quality over quantity.
skido for posting the most clicked deal in July, Free Large Pizza from Pizza Hut. 42,000+ click throughs during the Olympics, although unfortunately many free pizzas got taken by the bots.
dealbot for posting the fastest rising deal in July, Free Davis & Waddell Electric Ice Cream Maker, which took less than 17 minutes to reach +100 votes (even though the deal was marked as expired less than 15 minutes after posting). Don't think anyone actually received the ice cream maker though, but some are lucky to receive $20 voucher from eBay.
gnv9 for posting the most voted, most clicked & most entered competition last month, Win a Ryobi ONE+ Tool & MCM Pack. She has also posted 113 competitions last month with +18.8 average votes. gnv9 seems to be absent this month — maybe someone else would win the most voted comp for August?
Congratulations!
August 2021
Winners from last month:
MiCCAS for posting the most popular deal in August, Free 12 Months Amazon Prime, 3 Months Calm App, Ongoing Optus Sport + More, for Existing Optus Postpaid Customers. +843 votes & 19k click-throughs.
save50 for posting the most deals in August. 79 deals with +22.19 average votes.
Novacore for posting the most popular competition in August, Win a Gigabyte A7 X1 Gaming Laptop Giveaway from Scorptec Computers — +71 votes & 386 entries.
Becstar for posting the most competitions in August. 105 comps with +6.21 average votes.
Congratulations!
September 2021
Winners from last month:
AlphaSquid1604 for posting the most popular deal in September, Paramount Plus Subscription for $5.99/Year on iOS, for a subscription service that's usually $89.99 per year. Most voted deal so far this year.
save50 for posting the most clicked deal in September, Licensed Hoodies $9 @ EB Games & Zing Pop Culture — a deal that was posted in the evening of the last day of September. Quite surprised that so many people are interested in the hoodie. We paid much more for the OzB hoodie, tried to give it away and yet so far 40% of winners do not want it…
Wakrak for posting this quick rising deal, Free $20 e-Gift Card @ Mwave via Little Birdie, which took 7 minutes 32 seconds to get +30 votes and got marked as expired in 10 minutes.
dealbot for posting the most deals reaching OzBargain front page. 40 of dealbot's deals — that's all except 2 deals he posted in September — made to the OzBargain front page with average vote of +238.24. Most popular being Free - Nioh: The Complete Edition at Epic Games.
Congratulations!
October 2021
Winners from last month:
Thespottedcow for posting the most popular deal last month, McDonald's 30 Days 30 Deals with 1200+ votes. This turns out to be quite a popular deal in my household as well, as the kids would take a detour to go to the maccas after school.
Phalaxis for posting the most competitions these days. He has posted 125 comps in October, including the most voted comp, Win Ultimate Gift Cards from Summer Foundation, and the most clicked comp, Win a Mitsubishi Triton GSR Pickup from Network Ten.
BillyStorm for posting the most entered competition in October, Win Halloween Giveaway Custom PC from Aftershock PC. In fact the top 2 most entered competitions in October were all gaming PCs (the other being ASUS ROG Custom Gaming PC posted by Phalaxis) — more people trying those than comps that give away cars, TVs, cash and gift cards.
Here's the moderators' choice — WookieMonster for creating the very useful Third-Party Gift Card Deals FAQ and also updating the long standing Discounted eGift Cards wiki page.
Congratulations!
Glad to see some new names rather than the usual. Congrats!
Thanks Scotty! Congrats to the other winners.
Thanks Scotty, hope everyone is enjoying the month of Maccas deals.
Yes I've claimed 3 already!
Thanks Scotty, great effort by all
November 2021
Hi all. We are now in the final month of 2021, and here are some of the winners of a very busy November:
dealbot for managing to grab the most voted deal last month, $10 Amazon Gift Card with $49 Spend via Mastercard. dealbot has posted 56 deals in November with vote average of +272.3.
skido for posting the 2nd most voted deal, $5 Promo Credit with Purchase of $75 Amazon Gift Card. According to our stats from Amazon, Amazon-branded gift card was the most popular items last month, followed by this free Santa Claus.
currentfad for posting the 3rd most voted deal with over 1k votes last month, $20 Back with $100 Spend AmEx Statement Credit from Amazon, JB Hi-Fi, Kogan, Harvey Norman, etc. Targeted offer but still very popular. currentfad has posted 5 deals in November, all targeted AmEx Statement offers.
For November, amongst the top 10 voted deals, half of those are rep-posted deals from Cashrewards and ShopBack during the Black Friday week. Lots of promotion money being thrown around :) And finally we have our winner from competition posting:
- Phalaxis for posting the most voted competition, Win LG Nano75 TV, and most clicked competition Win Carman's Oat Bar Prize Packs last month. Phalaxis has posted 161 comps in November.
Congratulations!
Thanks scotty. Congrats to the other winners.
December 2021
Here are the last winners for 2021.
Fooah for posting the most popular deal last month, Free Tomb Raider Trilogy on Epic. Thanks to Epic Games' giveaways during Christmas, I now have even more games in my Epic library that might never get installed. Fooah has posted 11 deals during December and vote average of +409, as most are freebies from Epic.
mclarge for posting the most popular & most entered competition last month, Win The "White Wolf" Gaming PC from Aftershock PC. Good luck to those who have entered! Now I need a new gaming box to play all the free games I've got from Epic.
pizzin for posting the most clicked deal last month, LG 55" OLED C1 $2,142 @ JB Hi-Fi. All those LG OLED TVs were surprisingly popular around Christmas — I guess we do need it to pair up with the gaming PC to enjoy the great visual from those free games.
Here's one from Moderator's nomination — Matthew Sydney for consistently thanking people for posting competitions, over the last 4+ years! We really appreciate all the appreciations :)
Happy new year, and the members' award for 2022 will be back next month.
Congrats winners!

name not-important for posting the fastest raising deal in January, Sony PlayStation 5 Disc Console $749.00 Delivered @ Amazon AU that took less than 6 minutes to reach front page although the deal was marked as expired/out of stock 10 minutes after posted. Looks like there is still a long queue waiting for the PS5.
Twix, who is our newest Power User, and has made 600+ very helpful edits last month, and was recommended by the moderators for his contribution.
Congratulations!
