  • “All entries automoatically go into the draw”…

Are we 100% sure this is legit?

Typos make my scam spidey senses tingle.

    • +1

The contest is run by Germans (not English as first language) and an AFL club… Typos to be expected…

  • +1

    It's legit.
Just go to the Sydney swans site and it is running there.

  • Ok, cheers I’ll enter now you guys have put my mind at rest.

  • +2

No reason they should ask for DOB

    • +4

I didn’t neg you but maybe it’s their way to validate you meet T&C 3 that you are over 18.

      • +4

"Entrants must be over the age of 18, as of the date of entry."
Not comfortable with giving away my DOB -and- Phone no.

      • +4

Thanks, they should just use a tick box to indicate that they are 18+.

DOB can be used for identity fraud so shouldn't hand it out to random websites. At the very least use a different date.

        • -1

Totally agree with the tick box thing, there is 100% no need for them to have your full D.O.B. on file.

          None.

It actually should be illegal to require it, in my opinion.

  • How likely is it that entering email will be used for selling to junk email companies?

    • +3

If you are ever worried about that just use a gmail address and do the gmail alias trick so you can filter and track who’s selling your details.

      • +2

The "+" alias trick doesn't work for this one. But you can still do the "." one.

      • There's software that deletes such additions to gmail addresses now. e.g. Kogan does it. I've unsubscribed, later bought something using the gmail trick, then received a "Welcome back Pixel" to my raw email address with the trick characters removed.

      From the TAC
“ By submitting an entry into this competition entrants consent to receive promotional and other marketing messages from the Promoter and the Sponsor (including messages sent electronically for an unlimited period of time). Entrants will be able to opt-out at any time by following the instructions included in each message sent by the Promoter or the Sponsor (as the case may be). ”

    I am UNLUCKY :(

  • -1

Good for anyone who wouldn't want to give money to the criminals at VW. Profit over human life, they deserve everything they get (congrats to the ACCC on the latest fine btw).

  • I hate the bloods but I'll wear the colours for a day if they give me a car

  • I am Unlucky
    Has anyone actually been lucky??

      • Is entering through this link any different to clicking though the link on the OP’s post?

        • no, as the OP has been modified to reflect the new link each time, my posts were only useful until the OP was updated.

  • Thanks for the comp. If I win will be adding some blue to the car
