They might have closed the loophole for returns as well so things bought as a bundle deal may need to returned as a bundle. In this case, you got 30% off accessories and use of code. I havent read the t&c this time because i sont need tocsend anything back but they have previously had it for some deals.

        • +1

Still worth a deal even if we have to keep the accessories

        • which 30% off accessories?

        • +1

I spoke to a Rep on the phone and he said that I couldn't return any of the accessories on their own and that if I wanted to return the accessories, I needed to also return the phone :(

  • -1

Anyone able to cancel part of the order?

    • +1

No, not recently. Samsung canned that idea a couple of days ago.

    • Where does it say in the product page that this S Pen has Bluetooth functionality?

      • "Instantly have at your service an array of tools via Air Command."

Indicates bluetooth is used for Air Command communication.

      • +1

Upon deeper research, it looks like there is no bluetooth and Air Actions works, possibly via the s-pens tip only.

        • +1

Yeah a bit bummed out about the bluetooth. The remote shutter function on the s-pen worked wonders and i use it for every birthday/special occasion to take family photos especially with young kids and pets.

          • @Rad19874812: Same, I use it all the time. I can still use my galaxy watch as shutter but more annoying since I need to press specific part of the screen, I can't look at the camera and take it like with the pen.

          • @Rad19874812: Seems they nerfed bluetooth s-pen functionality from s24u -> s25u. May I ask what this even adds in practice? Never used the s-pens much struggling to think of how bluetooth even works with an s-pen exactly

  • I have been trying for days to get this deal done, but the Government portal is not allowing the OTP emails through the Defence gateway. Any ideas? Anyway to get an edu account?

    • +1

If you're a uni alumnus at certain unis, you can reactivate your uni email. Works for UNSW. If not, probably have to ask around family/friends who are uni students/employees.

    • i am using my personal email to login to goverment portal in samsung app as my gov email linked to my personal email/samsung account (or vice versa), so otps go to my personal email with no issues. i remember i did login to https://shop.samsung.com/au/multistore/auepp/partners_au/aut… using my normal samsung account email , when it was promted me to enter my gov email , so i did, recevied verification email, and that is pretty much it

    • Defence also blocks asurion emails to you wont be able to trade in either. At least it used to.

  • +1

Got S25U 256, Buds 3 pro and screen protectors for $1090 with $1 trade-in, hopefully able to return buds. Ships 6 Feb, seems some colours will have 1-2 week delay. Pretty insane, used s24 ultras currently go for $1300 on eBay.

    • +1

Pretty good. Hopefully I can sell my S25U jet black brand new for somehwere around $1300 when i receive it. I'd probably just go mobile monster for a quick sell.

  • +1

Ended up getting two phones in this deal :

    S25U 256GB
    S25 base 256gb
    S25U Screen protector
    Buds Pro 3

    For $1563.03
Will try return Buds when received and get a further $240 off that.

This was with $100 ecovoucher, $200 accessories, 2x trade in bonuses with S9+ and S10+ for $1 value ($700 total trade in bonus) and 5% off first purchase.

    • @zammr
Can you advise what happens if you dont have a low end trade in phone either and dont send them back?

I cannot seem to find out how to make it do a $1 trade in and its always makes it $10 and says the phone must have no marks etc with no option to put cracked screen in. I am a new trade in customer so not sure what to do.

      • I believe the low end phones only offer the $1 value if you select that the phone has a cracked screen, as that's what I had done with the S9/S10+.

When you go to check out and do the trade in details, IMEI etc it asks all these questions, my trade in value for these phones were originally $50 + $90 until I had selected that the phone has a crack.

I actually have an S9+ with a crack and used that IMEI, but for the S10+ I just used a fake IMEI off Google. I have no intention of returning the phones and happy to be charged the $60 non return fees.

  • +1

Damn pissed off I didn't know about the upper/lower case GALAXY25/galaxy25 combos, for making seperate orders on EPP.
Ended up buying the second phone without the extra accessory :(

  • I used 5% app discount last year. So I did not get 5% this year. Is there any way to get the 5% next year or this year if I want to buy another?

    • Create a new Samsung account? I heard the 5% is automatically applied if you have no previous orders.

      • +1

A new account cannot access the education store. When I enter the education email, it says it was registered with my old Samsung account.

  • Hi Ozbargainers! This is my first time doing the trade in trick (and not sending a device).

Has anyone done this in the past and only gotten charged the $60? Is it possible for Samsung to charge us for the $550 (400+150) trade in bonus if we don't send in the phone?

    • +1

No. You'll only be charged the $60 plus the trade in value of your device

      • Thanks for the reaffirmation.

That's interesting. I tried reading up on this outside of Ozb as well and I found that the policy in the US was different to what we have herre:

"If you don't send us your old phone, you will still receive the device you purchased. * However, * you'll miss out on the bill credit trade-in value and promotional offer."

        • +1

Done this last year for the S24 Ultra and was only charged the $60 fee, so I've done the same again this year.

Wouldn't be surprised if these T&C's get updated here next time, these deals are getting more and more popular every year and they've cracked down now on refunding accessories in the order.

          • @zammr: Did they send you any email about how much they are going to charge you beforehand? Or just deducted the amount from your account?

            • +1

@saintkam1: Nope no emails and didn't even specify what the charges were going to be. Just had a few reminder emails to send it and then a few weeks afterwards saying they've charged a non return fee (which can be refunded if sending the device).

  • Anyone found a good screen protector for the ultra…wouldn't mind getting one before the phone gets here

    • Samsung

    • -1

How is anyone supposed to know what is good when phone isnt out yet? XD

      • +1

I realise that…but there's been ones for older phones so looking for recommendations for brands people have used on 24u for example

    • +1

I use the amFilm from Amazon on a lot of my devices. They're excellent every time.

    • Spigen Glas TR Ez Fit, although expensive (around $30 for 2) however exceptionally good.

    • I always buy these ESR ones for all my phones. Works perfectly with fingerprint scanner and application is extremely easy and work with sliding.

      https://amzn.asia/d/0EsrSCX

      • Any good Cases for s25U except the ones on Samsung website? I cant find any of the spiegen or ottorbox on amazon.

      • I purchased this and it's arrived with stickers saying it's for 6.8 inch display whereas the S25U is 6.9

Listing has both sizes listed so can only check once the phone has arrived

      • I did the same hoping that it wont have fingerprint scanning issues

        • I used the same on S24U and didn’t have any issues with fingerprint scanner

          • @OZBsince2018: Is the trick to do the registration process after applying the protector?

    • +1

For the ultra you are also paying for the display upgrade to have the anti reflective coating, you will need to get a protector which is also anti reflective or you will negate out a very important feature of the phone

  • Hi All. In my members app, I have a two trade in bonus vouchers - a $200 and a $400. I wouldd be dreaming if both vouchers would be accepted?? Thoughts. The $400 one is the most recent one which I will go with first.

    • +1

They dont stack and they both give $400 discounts

  • +1

    Good Luck Everyone! 🫡

    • Doesn't look like you got the $100 Commbank yello offer as you can get to $1963.17 without the $100 commbank discount.
      Cost using EDU pricing = $1879.20+$19.50+$239.40+$779.40 = $2917.5
      Minus these discounts
      $2917.50 - $1 iphone 8 trade in - $400 Bonus trade in - $150 Bonus trade in - $200 galaxy2025 - $100 from $20 voucher = $2066.50
      5% app discount = $2066.50 x 0.95 = $1963.17

      • What combank offer?

        • +2

You edited your comment and removed it lol
You had $100 commbank offer listed under the 5% Off: Samsung Store App initially. Guess it was deleted while i was replying.

          • @8azinga: I can never edit a comment after someone has replied to it.

            • @jimojr: I meant they initially had it in when i read it but then they edited it before i posted my reply and i didnt notice it had been changed.
After i saw it and calculated, i even went to check if there was another commbank offer apart from the CBA Yello one as they called it $100 commbank offer and didn't mention yello.

        • combank buy 1 get 1 free offer.. seems like you msised it

      • +1

        hasn't the galaxy2025 been reduced to $100?

    • 1900 gor some ohone and watch.. ouch

      • +6

Love me some ohone and gor.

        • lol

    • $200 eVoucher discount Voucher applied!

      Where did this come from?

    • Not bad but you probably should have bought the watch when it launched

    • What do you mean by To Now? How do you get color on samsung.com on education site?

  • Can we get commbank offer directly when buying from edu website?

    • No

  • I'm beginning to regret doing the trade in. Looks like circumstances has changed I have to lend it to a relative. I will get it back one day, old and scratched probably.

If I don't return this (I accept will get charged the trade-in value + $60) does it mean the IMEI will be blocked forever and can't be used in again in any trade-in ?

    • Yes, once you attempt a trade in and don't send it in then it gets blocked for all future trades. Throws a random error that the support folk can't fix.

    • Why the regret? U can’t use the same IMEI for future trade-in regardless. Even if u return ur S25, the folks at Asurion probably have no clue on how to undo it. Just move on

      • By the time i get the phone back I won't be able to use the same IMEI next year for another trade-in event… sigh…

    • +1

Pretty sure I've used the same one several times

    • Cancel your order then redo with something you don't intend to trade in

  • +1

We are 10 days out from dispatch shipping date.

Last year S24 was shipped about 10 days early.

So the devices should start shipping tomorrow based on previous years.

    • That'd be great, it still shows "Dispatches from 6th Feb" though but hopefully it ships before that

      • Worth a check once a day, previously it just went from "awaiting dispatch" to sent.

    • I like your optimism, but I won't be getting hopes up. I figure it's only shipping on the 6th

      • Last year, i received my S24 U on January 29th but the release date was February 7th so 9-10 days early.

        • Last years release date (ship date) was 29th Jan for orders from Samsung.

I just checked my invoice from last year, i ordered the S24U on the 18th Jan 2024

    • Ah bugger if I knew that was the case I would have gotten the normal black rather than the Samsung.com only Jetblack. ETA is ship from 20/2.

      • +2

I ordered Jetblack on 23rd Jan 9pm. Showing ship from 6th Feb.
Don’t worry you won’t regret jetblack as its full black (including the sides) whereas all other colors have only back colors different and sides are all titanium color, which on normal black looks a bit ugly, although will be hidden if you use a case.

        • there is a downside to having the black sides also, because if you scrape or scratch it or wear down over time then it will start to show titanium color.

  • Anyone knows if you can swap phone colours via live chat or calling?

    • +1

No you can’t. You have to cancel the order and place a new one. Tried it last year.

      • +1

If live chat/call doesnt work, once you receive the phone You can go to nearest samsung store and get it exchanged there. As long as its unopened.

        • +1

Samsung store doesn’t deal with orders placed online. I tried that last year, but they told me I have to return the phone by creating a return via online store only. So just be mindful of this.

      • Ah okay. Was thinking of swapping to Jade Green to get faster shipping so I don't have ti wait til the 20th.

    • +1

what colour you changing from and to?

      • +1

Was considering going Jade Green but would only do it if I can get it earlier. Seems i'll just wait.

    • Last year I tried to change the s24u's colour by chat.
      They changed it for me.

      • Did that change your shipping time as well?

    • +2

Send an email to [email protected] with your address and phone number and the preferred color. I was able to change mine.

      • Did that change your shipping time?

        • still the same status as before. Awaiting dispatch.

  • What are shipping times like usually? Was a bit late and pre-ordered just now. On the invoice it says ships from 6th, order details page says ships from 10th, not sure what that's about. I am slightly concerned as I'll be on holiday overseas on the 18th

    • What colour you get? I noticed that different colours get different dates for some reason

      • I got the Titanium black. I noticed that too, some colours shipping at different dates. Titanium black was initially showing 6th of feb, hence why I picked it. Final checkout ended up saying 10th.

    • -9

Best to cancel then. Samsung are notorious for late delivery. I pre-ordered previously and got the phone a few weeks after public launch.

      • +1

No thier not. Your talking lies, once it shows as shipped 1 ot 2 days later its delivered.

      • +1

Definitely incorrect lol. Last year I ordered the exclusive Titanium Blue S24 Ultra which had a later shipping date than all the other colours. Ended up getting it a week or so early, and only took 2 days to arrive in WA.

        • -2

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14959405/redir

I ordered 19 Jan last year and got it 14 February. Release date was end of January. Read through the thread. Got mine 2 weeks after launch despite ordering one day after the pre-orders started

          • @0 0 0: there is always outliers in shipping….. but most will receive within a much timely manner.
I've pre-ordered a phone with them every year for the last 5 years and it has always been delivered on time or earlier.

    • +3

Think i've received 3 orders in 2 or 3 days after i get the shipping notification. I believe main warehouse is in Melbourne so they get it 1-2 days and they use startrack express. Even if it ships on 10th, i'd expect it to be there before you leave but can never rule out delays.

      • From all previous years, their dispatch came from Sydney but via Startrack.
They would have it all packed already and likely already shipping labeled…. but they have put an embargo on the shipping which usually says "do not ship until 5 days from release date"

    • Same for my Jetblack S24U 256GB as well.

    • When did you order it?

    • +1

Pretty much all of them say 6th Feb which is their "official" launch day.
But from prior year experiences, they will usually ship 4-5days earlier so they can try to get it to you for launch.

Note they will ship Startrack so you should generally get it next day.

      • True in general.
But for some the “Ships from….” date mentioned is much later depending on when did they order.

        • Correct due to stock levels

      • I got the Jade Green 512GB and saids ships 6 February 🤞 it ships sooner plus I live in the Sydney City region so technically I should have no delays

        • -1

We can’t ever be 100% sure of Samsung 😅
So let us just wait and see 🙂

    • Got Titanium Grey 512 GB and same, shipping from 6 Feb

  • Not a frequent poster here, so please be gentle :)

Was a bit late to all the codes but so far have priced:

    S25U 1TB 2749 RRP

    20% off EDU store 549.8
    Watch trade in 10
    150 trade in bonus
400 trade in bonus code from Member app
    5% App Shop discount 81.96

    Total 1557.24

    Similar process for:

    S25U 512GB gives me 1253.24
    S25+ 512GB gives me 1053.74

    Notes:

    • I was too late for the $20 voucher,

    • I plan to add the galaxy2025 code which I think is only $100 of accessories now. Just isolating the phone cost for now.

    • The Commbank Yello discount also does not apply in the Edu store

But in terms of available discounts is this the best I can get without a significant trade-in do you think?

Any help for further maximising would be greatly appreciated :)

    • +1

Yea. That seems to be the lowest you can get now.

      • Thanks very much

    • +1

Not the lowest but thats still a good deal

      • Yeah agreed not the best possible based on all codes that were previously available. But at this point, is there anything I may have missed?

No worries if not, just want to explore all avenues before pulling the trigger

Will try and track down a $20 for $100 voucher to add. But other than that, I think I'm at maximum possible.

        Cheers

    • -1

I think this price can be obtained later on, in other special day deals, price match etc - not the best possible bargain - I missed the boat too :(

      • +1

its still on except that you get $200 off and not the $100 using galaxy2025 code. $100 for $20 voucher people are selling or giving away. even without those its a smasher deal.

  • I noticed, during check-out I need to enter a valid serial number for the trade-in device, however what if I dont have a Samsung device but I wanted to take advantage of the trade-in bonus?

For example: I have entered a $10 valued Samsung Watch (which I dont have) however I am unable to check-out without a valid serial number? Is there a way to generate a serial number?
Is there a way to overcome this? Or do I need to have an eligible device in possession (whether or not I want to return or not) to check-out successfully?

    Thanks

    • +1

Google IMEI for your trade-in device…

    • +3

I picked Samsung Watch 4 Bluetooth (not LTE) and entered a random alphanumeric serial number which worked fine.

    EDU deal
    Traded in s21

    s25 Plus 256GB - 678
    Added some Buds Pro 3 - 24
    screenprotector/case - 50

    Total 752 AUD

Ultra not worth it unless you have to say you have the best phone - only key difference for me was the camera.

    GLTAHF

    • The ultra does have the anti glare though which the plus does not fyi, some people like it some don't it seems

      • +1

25 bucks for the anti glare film (Samsung sells it)

        • Does it work though, like practically I mean. Always worried about screen protectors/films and such not sitting flush or peeling etc.

          • @buyerbee: S24u here with the film. It's a game changer. No reflections or glare are almost non existant. Makes a big difference.

            • @Wizard: The film adds even more anti reflection? Cause the s24 ultra has it in built into the screen itself. I believe the s24u was the first to introduce it.

              • +2

@buyerbee: Yes the film add more anti reflection

                • -1

@Wizard: but its not a protector right?

            • @Wizard: How easy is it to apply the Samsung film perfectly? In past whenever I tried to apply a film, always ended up having bubbles, dust etc.

              • @OZBsince2018: It's easy. It makes an air line in the middle horizontally. It disappears after 48 hours.

It's not as easy as a spigen easy tR glass fit with the aligner, but you get 2 protectors included. So leaves room for error.

                • @Wizard: Thanks. I always end up messing up these film’s installations 😅
Thats why now always buy these ESR glass protectors for flawless and easy application:

                  https://amzn.asia/d/a7lZ7DT

                  • @OZBsince2018: Yeah I have struggled with the amfilm etc. too. Have ordered ESR this time simply based on their installation video.

  • -3

Update: after my 5000 time checking my order status page, My S25U unfortunately has not yet been changed to " On the Way" its still on " Awaiting Dispatch" sad

    • +3

I think this year you have to check 10 000 times, last year 5000 was too easy to get.

      • -1

I have not ordered anything from anywhere else except samsung but got notification on my auspost "Label created by sender". Fingers crossed

        • Check the sammy store, your expected date may have been updated.

        • in the auspost app…. if you expand the "details" what service does it say? if it says Startrack then likely the phone, if it doesn't say it… then it will be something else.

          • @lplau: It is startrack. Says delivers on Wednesday and signature required. I have ordered
            1. S25 Ultra and Case from Samsung epp
            2. Anti reflective Screen protector from regular store

Unless boost sends their $15 sim via startrack.
Now i hope it is for the phone.

  • anybody knows how long it takes until we receive accessory cancellation refund?

    • +2

      Once the phone is delivered.

  • Is the Party Over so quickly? 😲😲😲 —- Seems I Missed the boat.

    • There's still time, although the discounts are slightly less, the deal is still decent. A friend of mine went through with this deal last night and got the base s25 + buds ($119) + case ($19) for about $750 total

      • I cant see EDU page but has the $150 trade in bonus finished? Otherwise, that seems a bit high.

        • I believe it's $100 trade in for the base s25

We don't intend on returning any accessories. Used the $300 off coupon, galaxy2025 and received $100 trade in bonus

  • -1

How have people been able to cancel accessories this year? Mine (Aus Govt EPP store) only has option to cancel the entire order.

    • +2

Didnt read through the comments? Been discussed a lot already. Cant do it anymore. There was a hack but they fixed that too.

      • +1

I am sure Samsung would have fixed the hack for returning accessories also after the order is delivered i.e. we won’t be able to return the accessories alone and it will have to be a return of complete order. Let us wait and see.

      • Thanks mate, yes I read the comments but also read that someone was able to cancel so thought I'd ask.

        • Call them, I was able to cancel the watch over phone

          • @go2force: That might be before they fixed this loophole….!!!!! After that Samsung reps on chat clearly told that they cannot cancel individual accessories as these are part of the overall deal.

            • @OZBsince2018: Hard luck then. Samsung will be closing all these loopholes in the next 2-3 years and then we will be paying close to the actual price at launch :(

              • +3

@go2force: Let us make hay while the sun shines 🙂

              • @go2force: Technically Samsung is giving out $200 worth of accessories for free.

                • @SR9: Yes they are - for now.

                • @SR9: We pay for it one way or the other. Samsung doesnt do things out of the goodness of their heart.

  • So if people try to send back accessories that were bundled post order once received, are they gonna honour that or ask for all items back only?

    • +1

We will know once the order is delivered and we try to create an online return from the order details. My guess is it won’t allow us to create a return for the accessories only. Thats how it should always be given the purpose of the accessories voucher was to lure buyers to the buy the phone by offering some free accessories.
But we need to wait and see.

  • Anyone has the idea to order glare free S25 Ultra screen protector under $10?

Could anyone please guide if you have used similar kind of the stuff before?

    Thanks

    • +2

I used the Samsung screen protector for 12 months from day 1 on my S24U. Removed it yesterday - screen perfect to the eye. Nothing but good things to say about it.

      • Thanks for the info.

        • +1

Official samsung ones half price atm on the edu store so only about $19

  • +1

Anyone else haven't received a confirmation email?
I ordered an S25U+accessories 25th Jan and still no email. Order shows up as "order accepted" when looking at it on the shop app.
Option to do partial accessory cancellation does not appear.
I messaged the chat later on the 25th asking for email confirmation, they said it's still being processed.

But when I called them today, they said it's stuck and will need to be escalated to their backoffice….
this does not bode well. I used the $20 coupon, bonus trade in and accessories code.

    • I put my order last night and received the confirmation email with the invoice after 15mins.

    • +2

Looks like you are in for a ride. This happened with a few buyers last year also and their orders were delayed

      • +1

Went through another samsungonline drama in 2023 (several factors involved - delayed dispatch for store pickup which apparently eventually got lost in transit + was flying o/s & and took 4~ months for cancellation & refund processing). Hope this time i do get it (selected home delivery).

        • Update: seems the order has now been fixed. Got a text from Asurion about trading code being used and got an email invoice from Samsung . Called and they confirmed it's no longer stuck. I asked about partial accessories cancel and they said none of the accessories in the order can be cancelled.
Let’s see if return refund still works 😅
Should have ordered earlier before the patch.

    • This happened to me for the fold. Took 2+ weeks to resolve as it was back and forth between the office.

    • Last year, I ordered a Galaxy Watch Ultra for under $600. After a week, I still hadn’t received a confirmation email. When I contacted Samsung, they told me to wait. The payment was pending in my bank account at the time.
After about two weeks, the order disappeared from my Samsung account. When I reached out to them again, they said they couldn’t find my order and asked me to provide proof of the charge from my bank. However, since the pending charge had already disappeared, I had no proof. As a result, I never received the watch.

      • So you didnt pay for watch at the end but still expected to receive it?

        • I would like to pay $600 to get the watch. I asked them to charge me again, but since I had no proof that I had purchased the watch for under $600, they couldn’t do it. I should have taken a screenshot of the pending payment.
Edit: Sorry for confusing you, I should say that I didn’t get the watch.

        • -1

He paid and his bank release the money to samsumg. But due to technical glitch Samsung's bank did not accept the money. So if the merchant will not accept the money in between 10 days then the pending money in your bank account will disappear automatically.

          • @Avi0001: There are always people who look for bones in eggs.

    • +1

@snorkey thats good if they have fixed.

But iif it will happen again then follow that procedure.

      Same thing happened to me.
It happens when your Bank releases the money to the company but due to some technical issue companies bank can not accept your money. That issue is from Samsung's side.

Resolution what I performed and succeeded.
      1) Call your Bank, I beleive it will be Combank so call 132221, if not then call your bank's customer support.

      2) Ask them if they have repeased the money to Samsung if Yes then ask them to provide you Transactions authorisation number.

      3) Contact Samsung support through chat.
Explain them that you order the device on 25th of Jan and that the Order no. but I still did not get the confirmation email. Om the other hand tell them that you already confirmed with your bank that moeny has been released and thats the Transection authorisation no.

      4) Request Samsung support to escalate that issue to their financial team and tell them that you still want that order.

      5) After escalating ask them to request that if they might cancel the order then they have to provide me the same benefits, which they will write while escalating to Finanace depaprtment of Samsung.

      6) In the nutshell, grab the case number and wait.

I did the same thing and they approved my order and it will ship on 6th Feb, exept the rugged case which will be shipped on 13th of Feb.

      Thanks

  • Just got a SMS from UPS. My S25U 256 JetBlack will be delivered tomorrow directly from Vietnam

    • Wow nice, when did you order? And what is your order status on the Samsung website/app?

      • I ordered on 24th. On the app it still awaiting dispatch.

    • +1

haha wonder if it is a scam…. dont think Samsung Aus dispatched from overseas in prior years?

      • I thought the same when I saw the message. Then I decided to give it a try and clicked on the link. It directed me to the official UPS website, and it looked quite legit. Anyway, let’s see what happens tomorrow.

        • +1

          Any updates please?

    • Mine is getting delivered directly from Samsung, South Korea

      • +1

Maybe Samsung CEO coming himself to deliver the phone?

        • +5

He wanted to but I said no cause my day and nights are busy browsing ozbargain.

    • Yes I got that too. I need to pay a small additional cost for the delivery then I will get my item

    • You got spyware or something on some of your devices?
Samsung order confirmation email even says its being sent through startrack

      • This is what the email says

        DELIVERY OF THE
        SUSPENDED PACKAGE!

Status: Stopped at distribution hub (outstanding customs charge)

        A delivery fee may apply
        Your tracking code:

        20249194772

        • The very legit sender [email protected]

Customs fee is fresh out of the scammers playbook. I wonder how they got you.

        • Pay it and see what happens then if you dont believe me.

        • I saw it and was just about to call 0 0 0

    • Welp today I learned UPS are in Australia…I'm familiar with them (being from the states) but no experience with them down under.

    • The parcel has arrived, but it’s not Samsung lol

  • Aurison just refunded my security deposit… I wasn't going to trade in anything. This normal?

    • Yes, its normally a temporary hold which is released after a few days if you don’t use your trade in ID.

  • I got an email that my order was refunded (I didn't request this)??

    • Did you cancel accessories?

      • I didn't cancel anything at all

        • The trade in status on the asurion portal is still active (even though the underlying order from Samsung is cancelled)…

    • Can you check status by logging into your Samsung account?
Just to rule out a fake email thing.

Apparently a lot of people are getting delivery related fake emails so suspecting fraudsters know who ordered the phones or they are tracking some forums/websites and backtracking the users and sending them SMS/Emails. May be..

      • It says it is cancelled when I check on Samsung website. Looks like I will be making a call to find out what went wrong today.

        • Oh no!! Sorry to hear that mate.
Hopefully support team will get it sorted.

        • When did you order? Did you cancel any accessory associated with your order?

        • What did they say? My son is in the same boat.

    • Same thing happened to me. Still trying to get an answer from support team.
      Did you receive any update/solution?

      • Called them today and they said it has been escalated and they will get back to me.

        • I am still waiting for a case manger to get back me for the cancelation reasoning and next process for reordering with all the discounts

          What about you any update?

          • @Vicwar2: Haven't heard back. Going try to call again.

            • @mountpeter: @Vicwar2 called Samsung and they said it is still pending. Have you heard back?

  • Similar deal still running for edu store. 20% off, $150 auto trade in credit, $400 trade in bonus using unique code, $100 GALAXY2025 w accessories (min spend shld be $100 post discount but it needed $200 pre discount to work). S25U 512GB for $1229.

    • I thought min spend was always $200 and that the discount dropped from $100 to $200.
I'm guessing you mean the phone cost only and not including the accessories or did you trade in something of value?
      S25U 512GB $1879.20 + 200 accessories - 1 trade in item - 150 bonus trade in - 400 bonus trade in with code - 100 galaxy2025 = $1428.20

  • +1

Just ordered from government store app last night.

I am hoping any better deal doesn't come up…

    • Galaxy S25 Ultra 512 g with 2 yr Samsung care
    • Galaxy watch 7 (the cheapest model)
    • Samsung anti reflecting film
    • Clear Magnet case

Traded in Samsung s23 ultra 512g for $595
Used $400 extra trade in discount, GALAXY2025 code, app 5% first order discount…

    Total paid $1099.56

I missed GALAXY2025 $200 value purely because Samsung blocked (account unlink/link issue) my government email account and whilst I was trying to solve the issue it gone past the first 72 hours sadly. I complained to Samsung but they wouldn't honour the extra $100 value.
And of course I missed the $100 voucher for $20 as I didn't think I would upgrade from S23 Ultra.

I still think I did ok but pls be kind this is my first post 😁

    • +1

You did great..enjoy new phone and watch…Samsung ceo is delivering phone and watch to all ozbargainer orders..

      • Yeah I'm a bit annoyed with myself I ordered the bud3 pros's instead of a watch with my S25U. I guess technically I could maybe just order one and then return the buds?

        • I guess you should be able to? The galaxy watch 7 was already 40% off RRP in the government portal so yes it was a great deal as my watch 4 battery life is getting shorter and shorter…

      • Haha Thank you! Now just the waiting game… 😬

    • You can retain your ozb license.

      • Thank you 😉😉😉😬😬😬

    • $1099.56, including watch is a steal.

      • I think so… Right? I think the trade in deal with my current S23U was good 😁

        • +1

Seems pretty decent price for trade-in. You can max get $100 - $150 more on marketplace perhaps, but considering the listing, meeting, money exchange etc, this seems worth it.

  • If i cancel the order, will ausrion release the trade in amount automatically?

    • Yes, that happened to me last year.

      • Thanks

  • How to start a poll on what color is the most popular? I like the jetblack, but still confused whether its the right choice.

    • +4

Does it really matter? 90% of people will cover it with a case.

    • +2

Yeah jet black will be the best for resale next year

      • Spot on 😁

    • Jet black is the only one that has matching sides as the back so definitely the right choice

      • +1

Hopefully ships exactly on 6 Feb, not like old times where online exclusive colors get delayed for weeks

      • Isn't Contrast a thing anymore?

    • +2

I got the Titanium Grey just to have a break from a black phone

    • +5

      right choice

You should pick the colour based on your own preference rather than just the most popular. You'll be the one who will be using it on the daily.

    • +1

PSA I would have gone for the Jet Black but Samsung is notorious for using a horrible process to paint their phones - leading to paint chipping off the sides despite being in a case full time etc.

Google it online and you'll find many cases of it - I personally experienced this already with the S22 in black.

Since then I've only ordered the lightest colour as the side rails are raw non-painted titanium. This might also be another reason why Samsung this year has decided to go with raw titanium on the sides for their non-exclusive colours.

    • Got the s25u for my wife and she went with the jade green.

  • +11

SOOOOOOOO. I cancelled the buds last week and my whole order was cancelled last night. Contacted support and they said it was cancelled due to the buds being part of the package deal with the eco-coupon. Had to reorder today and only out less than a hundred but just be warned. I tried playing the system and lost haha

    • Would this be the same as cancelling part of the accessories.

      • +1

Well the buds would have had to have been part of the accessories because you cannot just cancel buds on their own this year.

        • +1

First day of the pre-order, cancellation of Buds was allowed if there's an additional accessory like case. It was disabled next day and only full order cancellation was available.

        • I guess what @ratiner meant was for the people who ordered more than 1 accessories and cancelled only the expensive one out of those - say Buds

    • Did you have $100 voucher for $20? If you had what happened to that?

      • That would be available to reuse.

      • +4

It got reverted so I could use it on the new order. Chat gave me the $400 trade in discount again

    • +2

It would be a nightmare if my S25 Ultra order got canceled. I’ve already sold my S24 Ultra.

      • Just trying to ride out my Note 10+ as it's falling apart haha. Biggest bummer as the shipping date is now the 15th instead of the 6th

        • Just checked mine, it still says 'Ships from: 06 Feb 2025.

          • @jimojr: It has changed to 'Get it by 07 Feb 2025.

    • +1

Thing that sucks is my delivery date is now the 15th of Feb

    • That would screw a lot of people in this thread then - did you only have the Buds as your accessory? Or did you have more than 1 accessory - because I still had a screen protector in the order after cancelling the Buds.

      • I had the clear magsafe case first and the buds second. I cancelled the buds immediately after purchase and left the case.

        • Damn… hundreds of people will be screwed in this thread (including me) if this gets rolled out

Unless they just decided to pick on random people, in which case that's shit

          • @harmanfin: I don’t think it would make much difference if we have to re order. Only difference will be galaxy2025 works for only $100

            • @Mregmi: Min $200 spend to use code but just $100 discount now.

              • @8azinga: No it works for minimum $100, I just tried in edu store with $100 worth of accessories.

                • -2

@Mregmi: Someone said they needed $200 to get code to work with $100 so no idea why they couldnt.

    • This should mean they wont allow returns either unless they forgot to fix that part

      • Its ok. Still worth a deal. We can always sell the buds on marketplace if we want to. May not fetch the full value back but still we can get back some amount.

      • catch me up. previously, you were able to simply return the accessories you purchased with the phone for a full refund?

to the website or walk into samsung store?

        • +1

You cannot return items from online orders to a physical store, has to be returned online.

Previous years we were able to cancel accessories either right after ordering or after receiving the product and return by talking to chat.

This year however Samsung has blocked users from cancelling ANY accessories after ordering. Whether we will be able to return only accessories after receiving product is yet to be tested since this is a pre-order.

          • @CodeXD: Thanks!
I was originally planning to sell the buds3pro i tacked onto my s25+ order.

            My options therefore are:
            1) sell it on marketplace
            2) engage chat once received and see if they accept returns? (they would credit your card i guess?)

            • +1

@csider: Yep. Go with second option as first choice if that makes sense lol

  • Interesting indeed. I ordered the phone on the 1st day of preorder release. My order still shows awaiting dispatch for 6th Feb. I cancelled the buds but remained a case and screen protector in the order. Did receive an email confirmation of cancellation immediately for the buds. New invoice shows, buds been cancelled and total price updated. Waiting game begins if the whole will be cancelled or not … The Samsung deal ozbargained with cancelling buds - now perhaps not so….

    • I only added Buds as one accessory along with the S25U and felt I missed out on additional savings by cancelling the Buds. But now I feel probably not 🥹

      • +3

I looked through the thread and saw that mec (original comment) also cancelled his trade in? Could be the reason he was specifically targeted

        • Let's hope so, that would trigger the cancellation from Samsung indeed.

        • +1

Yeah looks like. Else all orders where buyers cancelled the accessories would have been cancelled

    • This year it seems they didnt partially apply eco voucher to phone. When i cancelled buds and case i got the full $200 discount applied on my invoice

      • Huge if I can do that too

  • +1

My wife and I ordered the S25U using the purchased evoucher+ each with same accessories, same trade in (we both had old S8 lying around) and registered for the members bonus. My order status is awaiting for delivery but my wife's was sitting on order accepted for a whole week only to receive a cancel order email from Samsung with no explanation. Money was taken from the credit card account for her order and now refunded except for the trade in payment. I got my invoice on the same day but when she didnt get hers she enquired about it almost daily and got a different answer. From "it needs to be validated", "it takes 24 hours", then "48 hours" then "3 days". At first they mentioned it had something to do with the trade-in yada yada yada. Then the story changed to it was a payment issue with the bank and so the order was cancelled. She knew this was another made up excuse as she told the agent that the money was withdrawn and not in Authorisation Pending mode and that the money was refunded. If it had have been the bank stopping the authorisation the original transaction would simply be removed. In any case that information was never disclosed from the onset and if it had have been it would be a matter of contacting the bank to check if there was an issue. Because of Samsung's failure in providing a legitimate answer she now loses $100 from the GALAXY2025 promo as it no longer is $200 and loses the members bonus which included the earbuds pro. The issue was raised with support and they have advised her they have no means to offer an alternative code to match the $200 value nor have any influence over the Members promotion campaign. She was told the case manager that was originally assigned when she wasn't getting anywhere with the order status regarding her invoice was in fact a person who could not have done anything for her and they just closed the case without notification. So another case has been raised but she has abosolutely no confidence in the outcome as she was told that Samsung is unable to reinstate the original order with the original discount values. They were reluctant to get a manager or someone with authority for her to speak to. The latest is they have filled out a form and will be in touch in the next 72 hours. In the meantime the clock is ticking. She really doesnt know what to do next.

    • Did you cancel any accessories at all?

      • No. Didnt bother with all that. Was happy to accept the accessories. We both share the same bank account and mine was fine.

        • -1

Seems like there's logistics issues going on with Samsung, random people in this thread are getting their orders cancelled for no reason.

          • +1

@harmanfin: Good grief. It's a joke that they promote how wonderful their AI is yet their support staff are clueless as to what the issue is. All they can manage to do is parrot off the notes from the previous agent and then begin to tell her their interpretation which becomes fodder for the next agent she talks to.

    • Did you use same device for trade in or there were 2 different S8 phones that you used for trade in for both the orders? It might be something with the trade in ID because of which the order would have been cancelled. The money taking for trade in value will be refunded soon.

      • Different S8 different IEMI

        • Fake IEMI can cause issues

    • You dont "lose anything" unless you reorder at a higher price I suppose. If she has a working phone it might be worth waiting for a month. Usually decent trade in deals pop up once the release hype dies.

      • That's the thing. Because they haven't offered her any solution if she was to reorder now she pays more as she has lost her qualified bonuses that she was entitled to at the time. So far I've only seen posts that say the best deal is at the early preorder period.

        • If I am not wrong, she won’t lose $100, as you only now need to include $100 worth of accessories instead of $200. I saw a comment from someone above regarding this.

          • @OZBsince2018: For that to work she would have to forgo the Earbuds Pro and buy 2 power adapters. Not much of a workaround.

        • +1

Could always go for the regular s25 or s25+ to save the extra cost.

Yeah itll be hard to beat the deal last week but im sure something will best the current offer without the extra codes. Maybe have a look at previous phones and see if theres a trend (s24/23/zfold and flip)

          Good luck

    • When did you receive the order cancellation email?

      • +1

The order was placed 23/1/2025 at the same time as mine.
I received a confirmation email on the same day.
When she hadn't received her confirmation she began contacting support. She received an email from a case manager on the 28/1/2025 saying

We have received your escalation in relation to your recent purchase through our Samsung Online Store and understand that there has been a delay on the order status request.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the delay. Please be advised that that the order is undergoing additional checks with the external service partner. We have raised this to our relevant team who are currently working on getting this out to you as quickly as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me via reply email.

This was the case that apparently was cancelled without notice.

Cancellation email arrived late yesterday 29/1/2025.
Refund email arrived later that evening.

    • +1

Please let me know how it goes with your wife as I am facing the same exact issue as her. Order was sitting on 'order accepted' for the whole week and received a cancellation email from Samsung last night with no reasons as to why it was cancelled. I chatted with their chat support today and told that my case has been escalated and that the case manager will get back to me within 7-10 days lol. I tried pushing for a quicker response but they say they can't do anything about it.

Likewise, same thing with the code stuff and didn't cancel any accessories. Am happy to have those accessories.

My cancel button for Ultra - Grey just disappeared and it now says Get it by 07 Feb 2025

    • +4

Same here for green, they be making moves.

    • +1

      Same here!

    • Same.

    • Same here - I ordered on the 23rd, is anyone else the same?

    • +1

Same here! Must be getting prepared to ship.

    • +1

Noticed on Reddit someone status moved to Shipped in Australia.

    • Ordered day 1, still says Awaiting dispatch. Not expecting to get it before 7 Feb anyway, so makes sense

      • Ordered on the 1st day also & still states waiting dispatch. Did manage to remove the buds with instant email confirming cancellation. Invoice also updated to reflect cancellation. Let's see what happens.

    • +2

There are plenty of Australians here

      • You won't find No choicecheapies in these parts

      • OZBargainers sound better than Australians I guess 😅

        • Haha I just quoted the reddit post :) we had a few ozbargainers who had their phone shipped yday from south Korea and Vietnam so probably mentioning Australia was key

    • My cancel button has disappeared today (was there this morning) but still on Awaiting Dispatch and has changed to the 10th of Feb (was 6th this morning). This is a Silverblue S25U 512GB with a couple accessories.

Just temper your expectations if you see Shipped, usually that just means its boxed up and ready to go. It changes to On The Way when it is actually in transit.

      • Did you order on the 23rd?

        • Yep, mid morning on 23rd. Around 10:20am, was waiting for the $400 off voucher otherwise would have been earlier.

      • +1

Same, cancel option has gone . Shows as 'Shipped' in a flash when refreshed orders page and then shows as 'Awaiting dispatch' 🤞

        • -2

Check in the App for the correct status instead of portal.

    • Pre-ordered on the day it got announced. Titanium Jetblack 256. Still listing as "Awaiting Dispatch" Hopefully it will be shipped soon!

    • Mine awaiting dispatch

  • +5
    • Exactly what i mentioned above.

      • +8

        Yes but with less effort

    • +2

It won’t practically be shipped until Startrack picks it. Last year I had a gap of 4 BDs between status changed from shipped to the phone getting delivered.

      • +2

Exactly - going from last year, "Shipped" means they've allocated stock to your order. Nothing actually leaves the warehouse until it's "On the way". I'd expect first orders to be delivered by next Wednesday at the earliest.

    • +4

I refreshed order page for 123rd time since morning and status is still "Awaiting dispatch"

      • Same here! Im glued to that page

      • +2

Click "View details". Mine has changed to 'Get it by 07 Feb 2025.

        • Mine is glitching out lol - it shows shipped then reverts back to awaiting dispatch for a split second.

          • @harmanfin: Same for me.

          • -1

@harmanfin: Check in the App for the correct status instead of portal.

            • @OZBsince2018: Hi guys, In my Samsung Shop app on android, i cant seem to find the section for My Orders? I've looked everywhere and can't find it?

        • Same changed to get it by 7 Feb. Ordered on 23rd 1pm

        • +2

Clicked view details, changed wifi password, looked upside but still - awaiting dispatch…

        • Mine says:
          Ships from: 06 Feb 2025
          Standard Delivery

    • Looks like that's enough entertainment for today. Don't think they will allow workers to work and get high wages to pack products overnight.
Time to start refreshing tomorrow morning (Just kidding, I will keep refreshing every 5 mins) haha

  • -1

    How to cancel tradein?

    • Dont send anything in lol

    • Cancel your order.

    • Login to your account to cancel it if you haven't used it.

  • Mine is changed to 10 Feb. Ordered first day at 9am. Although color is Jet Black

    • From 6 Feb?

      • Yes. It was 6th Feb and Awaiting dispatch from last week. Now it shows 10 Feb.

        • Oh thats not good news for my 13th dispatch…

          • @OZcheepsk8: New order date for Jet Black S25 ultra is 27 February 2025. Just FYI

  • +2

    Ordered day 1, 10:00am
    Ultra 25 ultra 256g jetblack.
Still showing with the cancel button and Ships from: 06 Feb 2025

  • With some phones arriving next week, anyone has recommendation for a solid but thin case for S25 Ultra? Tia!

  • +2

Mines changed to 'arrives by 7th' was originally ships by the 6th.
    512gb jet black

    • Mine Says:
      Ships from: 06 Feb 2025
      Standard Delivery
      256G Jetblack

      • Same here…

      • Mine is the same spec.
Is your cancel button still showing?

        • Yep mines still showing

          • @italianganga: Same, did you cancel buds post purchase?

            • @GoldStar: I had 2 cases and smarttags with my order. Cancelled the smarttags and 1 x case soon after ordering. Leaving the phone and 1 x case.
Assuming Samsung aren't up to allocating this exact spec yet or possibly delayed?

              • +1

@tobes311: I just checked my wife's order (ordered under her own Samsung account)
Ultra 256g green, ordered with case and buds. Then cancelled buds.
This has progressed to not showing the cancel button and also date changed to "Get it by 07 Feb 2025"

                • +1

@tobes311: Positive & maybe a good sign for others whom have cancelled the buds, including myself 🙂

            • @GoldStar: Nah I Havent cancelled anything

    • @mac2043 Did you make any cancellations post purchasing? I.e. buds.

      • +2

I did, and I'm kind of worried that's why mine hasn't changed yet. Would love to know if anyone who cancelled their buds has had theirs change to shipped yet.

        • +1

I cancelled the buds and it changed to 'Get it by 07 Feb 2025'.

        • how'd you even manage to cancel the buds? I would have done the same but couldn't do it without cancelling the entire order.

          So now it's showing shipped

      • No. I tried and although I could select individual items it would error. Tried chat and they said because it's a bundle they can't cancel it either. Hopefully they don't end up cancelling orders!

  • I've been running on fumes since my Xiaomi was bricked back in October, c'mon baby send my order!

  • I made two orders. One for myself and another for family. The second order (family) was made on a family members EDU account, and was cancelled. I wonder if it was because of:
    1) eVoucher purchased on another account
    2) same delivery address.

    • Leaning towards #2

Probably an effort to combat people trying to re-sell for a profit maybe? But who knows.

    • What was the status of cancelled order before being cancelled?
      Received, Accepted or awaiting dispatch?

    • Wife and i both purchased on separate edu accounts to the same address. Both of ours have an allocated imei so are close to being shipped.

      • What do you mean allocated IMEI?

I think the IMEI being displayed is the IMEI of the trade in device not of the phone that you have purchased.

        • He meant IMEI number just below his S25ultra Not his trade in phone imei

        • I'm at idiot, you are right. Doh!

    • Who knows because Samsung support wouldn't. Still waiting on the second case manager to find out why. The first was a dud and again cancelled without notification.

    • Have you got any update? It happened to my son too. No progress at all after he raised the issue.

      • Today we got an email from a case manager stating that 'the system automatically cancelled a couple of orders' and that we should place a new order. They gave us a new CSP voucher code and told us to use GALAXY2025 again. They said that since the GALAXY2025 code is now only $100 (as opposed to $200 when we placed the order) they will refund $100 to match the promotion in the failed order.

We've placed a new order and so far so good.

  • Ultra 512GB Titanium Grey ordered Day 1 around 11.30 am (+ accessories) from Samsung - Still 'Awaiting dispatch' but changed yesterday from "Ships from 6 February" to "Get it by 6 February" and Cancel button disappeared yesterday. Delivering to Sydney.

I think a lot of people ordered the Blacks or Silver Blue in the Ultra. Grey didn't seem to be that popular this year.

    • Did you cancel buds post purchase?

      • No, I want to keep them

  • Can anyone please confirm if I don’t send in my old device to samsung, how much will I be charged?

    • Depends on your trade in device cost. Likely $60. But could be $30 if low valued (not sure what the threshold is)

  • -4

Can someone check if NOTE 9 is in trade list?

  • 256gb s25 ultra jetblack still showing cancel button, ordered on 23rd of jan

    • are you thinking of pressing the button?

    • Can I press?

      • No you cant

  • No cancel button visible, shows awaiting dispatch, and changed to Get it by 07 Feb 2025. Jetblack ordered

  • Shipment of orders may also be dependent on the availability of the accessories that were ordered along with the phone. Samsung doesn’t deliver phone and accessories separately, hence, if any of the accessories included in the order are out of stock, expect a delay in the delivery of your whole order.

    • My last phone and accessories were delivered separately. The case was delivered one month after the phone got delivered.

      • -2

That might be a special scenario where may be case was OOS for too long time. I remember when I ordered S23Ultra, I faced this issue and Samsung rep via chat told me that order is being delayed due to accessory being OOS. Hope this time it won’t be the case.

        • May be. The point was if one of the accessories is out of stock, samsung can still deliver phone and ship that accesory later as they did with my order previously. They won't hold on to phone as there is a chance that they may lose out on one customer if he/she choose to cancel it out of frustration.

        • My accessory was delivered first before the phone for s22U launch.

    • Hope not as saying Buds 3 Pro shipping from the 27/02. When we ordered on the 23rd it said 6/02

  • -1

If I get edu access somehow, what's the final value I can achieve now for S25 Ultra 512GB - with $80 trade-in of Note 9?

Just wondering if it's worth it to try to get edu store access somehow.

    • Pretty sure it's worth it, specially if you are not planning to change networks and all those shenanigans.

Got a total of $1249.20 for your device with the trade-in value + 150$ discount + 400$ trade-in voucher + EDU exclusive discounts.

    • I'd love to know the way to get access without buying one from eBay.

      • Go through the thread. Although you have limited time to order with all the coupons.

        • how much time is left now?

      • For sure, JB is cheaper than eBay.

  • Odd that people without epp/edu/go/westpac aren't able to pre-order the S25U 256gb yet whereas we are already seeing "arrives by 7th" for certain S25U 256gb.
i missed the boat for the ships from 6th Feb jetblack and went with another color that still said ships from 6th Feb when i ordered on the 25th.

also it appears that ships from date is no longer showing on the ordering page for both normal and edu store.

    • Ships from date can be seen in checkout page

      • Ah!
Used to show at the stage we could select colors before.
slightly longer process to play around now….
Way to go Samsung… wonder how many hoops there'll be next time to access all discounts/codes.

    • Mine still showing ships from 6th Feb.
jetblack 256GB S25U ordered placed on 23rd Jan 9pm. Only one accessory Buds 3 Pro included in the order and I didn’t cancel it.

    • +1

Normal samsung sute has double storage as their pre order bonus. So they cant select aelect the 256 version

  • An update for all whom have cancelled buds.

My order is now updated to 'get it by 7th Feb' with the 'cancel order' button not appearing.

Hopefully the same will apply for all out there with their orders whom have cancelled the buds post purchase 👍🏼.

    • Same with mine. Got the blue ultra 512

      • +1

Nice mate. Mine is Jet black Ultra 512gb.

    • Why people cancelled buds?

  • Ordered 2pm on Day 1, no cancelled Buds as it wouldn't let me cancel without cancelling the phone.

Orders page is also updated to 'Get it by 7th Feb' for both the phone and the buds, with IMEI registered against the phone. Cancel button has disappeared.

S25U 512GB, Silver Blue - pray maybe it comes earlier than the 7th!

    • +3

Are you sure it's IMEI for S25U? Mine shows IMEI of my trade-in device, not the S25U.

      • Oh you're right, I'm looking in the wrong area lmao.

        Can't update original comment dammit

        • Haha.
New phone IMEI will appear next to your new phone details. Next to its size (512GB).

  • Cancel button gone on my S25 U 256g Jet Black for me too and changed to Get It By 7th Feb.

    Ordered 23rd Jan (Day 1) before 9:30am

    • same here, ordered around 11pm jan 23rd

      • Same thing….

      • I ordered same jetblack S25U 256GB at 9pm 23rd Jan with Buds 3 Pro (not cancelled) - still no movement and showing Awaiting Despatch and Ships from 6th February

    • My cancel button is still there. Still on Awaiting Dispatch

  • +1

Same pinch - S25 Ultra JetBlack 256GB. Cancel Order button gone and status changed to 'Get by 7th Feb'. Cancelled Watch FE via phone call on 23rd before Samsung closed loop hole.

    • +1

Same as mine. Cancel button gone

  • Does anyone know how soon after the delivery of the phone the Jotform entry will be delivered?

    • +2

There was a jotform, but only for first 50 preorders. Filled up pretty quickly on day 1. It was on the members app. Not sure if there will be another one

edit: just re-read your question. My jotform watch 6 classic was delivered about a month after my S24U last time

  • +4

    Mines just changed to Shipped.
512gb Grey with buds and case.

    • Did you get a notification or did you have to check manually? Mine is still waiting to be dispatched.

      • +1

Manually on the Samsung Order Page. I know from yesterday these orders can kick along until 4-5pm so you might get shipped today.

    • Nice, congrats mate, do you mind sharing when you order, time?

      • Yes it was the 23rd at 1pm

        • Oh nice, mine was 9 am and 2 pm on 23rd, still awaiting dispatch but again both of mine are exclusive colors, fingers crossed

    • +1

      Hurray, mine too 😀

      • Did you get the tracking no too?

        • That will only be received from Startrack once they actually pick up the package. Till then its just marked as shipped in Samsung system.

  • Mine's going between awaiting dispatch to shipped.

    • Wtf mine too, was showing shipped half an hour back and now awaiting dispatch. Samsung really needs to fix up these launch offers.

      • Regardless of what it says, it will still arrive at the same time. It doesn't really matter what the website says as you'll be emailed the tracking info once it is officially on its way.

        • +1

I agree but ridiculous how such a big company cannot get it sorted year after year

  • Did anyone who ordered jet black get shipped yet?

    • Mines going between awaiting dispatch and shipped

      • +1

I just refreshed it said shipped then changed back to awaiting dispatch why why :(

        • -1

Bad frontend logic on Sammy's website. That's all.
It corrects itself as soon as backend responds with right status.

          • +2

@dealhunter-007: there's a javascript set to change it back every second.
If you change it to Delivered it stays that way, but Shipped is set to change back to Awaiting dispatch

            • +1

@bohn: Yes I tried to oversimplify it without going into details. That JS is actively overriding it from Shipped to Awaiting Dispatch possibly because the backend is returning status to display as "preparing-for-dispatch" and in the mapping it's mapped to 'Shipped' status when it's not actually shipped.

                      "status": {
                          "code": "SHIPPING_PREPARATION",
                          "type": "OrderStatus"
                         },
                     "statusDisplay": "preparing-for-dispatch",

              "order_placed": "Order accepted",
              "shipping-requested": "Awaiting dispatch",
              "shipping_requested": "Awaiting dispatch",
              "preparing-for-dispatch": "Shipped",
              "preparing_for_dispatch": "Shipped",
              "preparing_for_dispatch_o2o": "Shipped",
              "dispatched": "On the way"

Feels like they have done some kind of patching in that override script to fix the issue on their orders page.

      • When did you order?

  • Not sure if anyone cares here but my S25 Ultra 512GB Jetblack just shipped in NZ haha

    • With postage in the south island, might take a week or two!

      • Fingers crossed for next Tuesday :)

    • -1

And also, I received a separate trade-in email saying this: "If you do not ship your device, Samsung will charge you the full amount of the Trade-in Value, and any applicable promotional trade-in credit, that was applied to the purchase of your new Samsung product."

I am actually handing in my device though, maybe some big changes coming this time for non hand-ins.

      • That would be against their own T&Cs. Doubt it'll happen.

      • which email was this .. cos it's not in https://www.samsung.com/au/trade-in/terms-and-conditions/

      • It's usually a "may charge you " , never has been will charge you . It's the standard trade in terms every year .

      • +1

Not applicable to AU, since this is an NZ email

      • The same as previous years. But they only charged the trade in value plus late returning fees

      • +1

Yes, this email was from Assurant NZ so not really applicable to Australian customers. Sorry for any heart attacks :) I found it amusing though because they really emphasised in the email

  • Mine is still showing ships from 13th February. S25U 256GB Jetblack ordered on 24th Jan from Sydney. I think it’s because of the buds 3 pro😔

    • No, plenty have a shorter ETA with the buds 3 pro.

I wouldn't be surprised if it gets updated and comes sooner though.

    • Nah mate I ordered the same on the 23rd and it still says get it by the 7th

  • Mine recently updated from "ships from 10th Feb" to "Get it by 7th Feb" with no cancel order button anymore. Exciting! Ordered 512GB S25U Titanium black on the 27th, a lot later than folks here, so I'm surprised it's changed in line with those that ordered earlier.

    • nice! I ordered 29th still awaiting dispatch.

  • Anyone have a screenshot of the asurion checklist of questions about the condition of the phone being traded in? I want to record the phone i'm trading in being perfectly functional before sending it in. Bit worried after reading so many horror stories.

    • +1

Just do another order trade-in and it will show conditions and done need to go all the way to checkout

      • Thanks. Thought i had to go through the whole ID check to see the conditions.

  • Kinda late to the party so I missed out on the best possible deals sadly. But I think this is still pretty good considering.

    $1068 for 256GB S25 Ultra

    5% first app purchase
    EDU discount
    $150+$50 (oppo find x2 pro) Trade-In bonus
    $400 Trade-In bonus

Then with GALAXY2025 I grabbed $100 accessories for free (went slightly over)
    Did i miss anything lol?

    • +5

      Your sanity

    • how much it would have been for 512GB or 1TB?

    • I believe the only thing you've missed out on is an extra $100 to use on accessories.

    • My one worked out to be $1060 for the S25U 512GB. So you didn't miss out on much.

      • Is that price minus accessory cost? I presume you were able to refund?

        • +1

My cost breakdown. Yes, minus accessory and additions fee for no trade in.

          • @shopbot: I'm getting the following
            .
            1596.85 for the Ultra 512GB

            with the following discount
            * 5% app first purchase
            * voucher of $400
            * galaxy2025 ($100) and
            * trade in at $260

i have anti reflecting film , grip case and galaxy buds3.

If i was to return the galaxy buds3 my total would be $1398.01 can't get anywhere near your final price, am i missing something?

            • @Chickie: You need to buy from EDU/EPP to get that price

            • @Chickie: I think the key differences are
              - I had the $100 E voucher purchased for $20
              - My Galaxy2025 was worth $200 at the time.
              - I got a further $150 trade in bonus. What happened to your $150? I thought this is still available.
Oh yes, and did you purchase from EDU/EPP to get the 20% off?

              • @shopbot: Was putting it through EPP

                I think i found the missing $$$
I dont have 150 further tradein bonus
                Galaxy2025 is only 100
                No evoucher

So that is 350 in total that i dont have, which will come down closed to your price.

JB option is abit cheaper for me

  • I am still trying to register the .edu.au email for Samsung Education but The code/pin for Verification isn't coming in email. Anyone knows how to get the code/pin for education account verification?

    • normaly you should get an email with a link to activate your account. maybe check the spam box?

      • nah, school is blocking emails from outside.

    • Reinstall the app/clear the cache or use Student Beans.

      • Seems you need to be 16+ for student beans? I have id of kids :(

    • The school probably blocked Samsung emails if you arent getting them. If they blocked samsung, they may have also blocked Asurion emails so you wont get the trade in verification email and wont be able to trade in anyway.

      • So how does everyone else is doing it? Mostly, University id's and they don't block external emails?

        • +1

Pretty sure uni's are less strict with what they block.

  • mine changed to "get it by 07 Feb" and cancel button is gone

    ordered on 23rd around 11am. grey 512

I ordered it with buds3 (not pro) and one case, tried to cancel the buds but it never happened, errored out and then support refused to help. tried to cancel the whole order but it completely got stuck in their system lol they promised to cancel it but it just never happened, and I decided to hell with it, I will let it be haha

$1168 paid with trade in of galaxy watch6, getting buds3 (might just keep or resell), and a fancy case

  • Ok guys so I ordered another one just yesterday at 5PM(Sydney). It’s the S25U grey 256GB and the status has changed to get it by 7th February!!
But my other one is still showing ships from 13th February. S25U 256GB Jetblack ordered on 24th Jan😔

    • Looks like Grey ones are shipping pretty fast

      • Yeah theres a few people on Reddit that already have theirs delivered.

        • +1

          Aussie ones?
I saw mostly US and European orders which got delivered.

  • Experts reply please: how is it possible to move app data as well? From old phone android to new one without the need of OTP and login process?

I checked Swift Backup app which does the job but requires rooting and bootloader unlock.

    • The point of OTP / MFA is so other people cannot login to new device without triggering it.

      • There is a way i read online, but need to root device to movie app data as is.

    • Some apps backup app data to the cloud and sometimes the Samsung swap app can automatically transfer the data. Really depends on the app.

      • Samsung switch app doesn't move the app data only apps and then you need go through each app restoration, login again otp etc etc

        • Banking Apps etc won’t allow that as each device is registered separately in your online banking and only then the App gets access. Similar restrictions might be there for so many other Apps too

        • Some work fine. I've been switching every year and apps are getting better in auto migrating settings, data, etc.

    • I read not long ago that Samsung is working on this, possibility to be released with One UI 8/Android 16

      • Cant wait till oneui 8, s25 ultra on the way. I think then rooting is the only solution then

    • not possible.
especially banking apps register hardware address into their records which is not possible without login/otp etc.

  • After all the vouchers and trade-in bonus, S25 Ultra 512gb comes down to $1065.90 ($1085.90 since I purchase the $20 voucher), is this a good deal? The only thing I don't like Australian version is that it doesn't come with dual physical sim cart slot. My S23 Ultra bought from overseas has dual physical sim slot, maybe I should just keep that then… but still… very tempting…. shall I go for it? lol

    • It's a good price. How did you get to it?

      • Trade in my iPhone XS Max 512gb value $170 plus the bonus trade in, the $20 voucher and yes, this is on Edu store.

        • This was without adding accessories? Do you mind sharing the breakdown?

          • @wantvsneed: I think its the same price everyone getting minus $170 trade in value.

            • +9

@Mregmi: It's confusing when you see someone state a price they got but forgot to mention they traded a phone. I keep seeing these prices and thinking I missed something.

              • @F-22: This is one of the most confusing post of the year - that's why I hate this pre-order thingy.

          • +1

@wantvsneed: Yes that's including GALAXY2025 accessories voucher, I just selected the case and charger just to get it for "free" since it is included.

    • Hmmm,

I ordered mine this morning for $964.20

Galaxy S25 UltraTitanium Black 512 GB

      Voucher applied! $400 Trade-In bonus.
      $150 Trade-In bonus applied. Ends 14.02.25.

      Awaiting dispatch
      Trade In
      1 x Galaxy S22 Ultra

      Qty: 1 Total: $964.20

This is without any accessories or the 5% shop discount.

      • +1

Why no accessories? It is free to add $100 worth.

        • Because im a big dummy that totally forgot

          • @enzo3162: Not really a good deal.
You missed $20 for $100 voucher and $200 accessories voucher.

        • Problem for me is that accessories reduces the cost of the phone by $200. The phone is tax deductible to me but the accessories aren't so i lose out on $100 back on tax. So the question was did i want to pay $140 for buds i didn't need.

  • I wonder when the first Australian phones will be in customers hands. I was kind of expecting mine by yesterday, going from when I got the S22U, it came early on the Saturday before normal release day, which is the 6th this time, but no phone and a status of the 7th, a day after you can get it in the shops. Traditionally we have gotten it sooner?

How was it last year for the S24?

    • I think it'll be Wednesday onwards,

      • Just have to wait, just the way it is. If I remember right with my S22U it arrived early as a total surprise, my status on the website was still waiting for shipping. I didn't complain.

        • Status has changed to: awaiting dispatch, so there is movement at the station at least. Oh well, it will be three months since I've had it before I know it, a few more days won't kill me.

    • Mine was 2 weeks post launch. I ordered on the second day of preorders opening

      • Samsung online Exclusive colour for s24U?

        • I think so? The blue one

  • This looks like a better deal

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891474#comment-16223018

I paid $650 for a 256gb from here with the buds, assuming we can't return them the market will be flooded so assume I can only sell it for $100

Same price then but only 256gb vs 512 in the Goodguys deal

    • Agree. But thats only for S25 model. Not for Ultra or Plus models.

      • Yeah for those of us that got the s25 base model, I'll cancel this order and get the other deal I think for the increased storage!

        • This makes sense 👍🏻

    • Same deal with JB too if that is closer/more convenient

  • One of my orders has shipped today. I canceled the Buds 3. Hopefully, I’ll receive it tomorrow.

    • +2

Can guarantee you Startrack is not working today.

    • its just processed by Samsung and ready for being picked. So looks like it will be picked up on Monday and delivered next day.

    • How did you cancel the buds pls?

      • Too late, they closed the loophole

  • Mine has status of shipped but no tracking yet

    • Tracking will be received once Startrack picks it. For now its just processed by Samsung and ready for being picked. So looks like it will be picked up on Monday and delivered next day.

    • What color and storage?

      • site is buggy, says awaiting shipment again
        s25 256 black

        • Ooopppssss

        • Same, but I have already received about 2,700 reward points in my Samsung account. How about you?

  • Very long time lurker, new to joining. I just ordered 2x s25 512 ultra - picked colours that had 6th feb shipping (as I go overseas on 22nd).
Used the 5% app, edu store, $400 code plus Galaxy2025. I added 2x cases and a power brick to go over $100. Traded in a s21fe +s8 for $136. Says total $4860 - discounts of $2552, for a total of $2307. So about $1100 per phone + $100accessories. The only thing is shipping date changed to 13th after payment. I really hope they ship closer to the 6th as advertised - as I chose colours that weren't my favourite for the earlier shipping date. Invoice says $200 GST that I should be able to claim as trs if they arrive in time.

    • with claiming trs, do u have to bring the box with u?

      • Nope, as long as you bring tax invoice and the phone itself.

        • +1

They will warn you though if you bring it back they will charge you GST again.

Not 100% sure how much $$$ will trigger a automatic flagging upon entry. As I know of a few people who took over 5k worth of items overseas for TRS (luckily they were ACTUALLY for gifts), and they got automatically flagged upon entry and got pulled aside to do a cavity search for TRS items. They even knew exactly what items and was saying "DO YOU HAVE THIS ITEM?" then proceeded to look through luggage to make sure.

Never been stung by it, although I don't go crazy and usually for me its 1-2k through TRS. But wondering if you get stung double e.g. GST + Duties (similarly to when you import something via post and customs taxes you) or do they just charge you GST.

          • @lplau: I just got back from trip and although I do declare, but they just ask what you brought back, and the amount I declared is less than the concession we brought back. To be honest, as long as you declare, you have nothing to be worried off.

  • Just asked asurion to cancel my trade in but apparently it’s not an option anymore. Wtf lol.

Thank you for reaching out. At this time, we do not have the option to cancel the Trade-Up ID separately unless the entire Samsung order is canceled. If you wish to proceed with keeping the order but cancel the trade-in, we recommend canceling the order first and then placing a new order without the trade-in. Thank you for your understanding.

    • +2

      That would make sense

      • Hahaha, but its stupid because if we send nothing in… well.

Honestly I thought I was just doing them a favour to let them know i won't be sending anything in…

Not sure what it is but they probably received so many cancellations for the trade-ins they might've enacted this policy without thinking it through lol

        • They prefer that we send nothing and just collect $30 or $60 for doing nothing. Easy money, but it’s a win-win.

          • @iforumos: But if you keep doing this, wouldn't they ban you from ever using the trade-in?

            • @cloudie9: Let me see…

            • +2

@cloudie9: I have been doing trade-ins for the last 2-3 years, and never sent any device to them. Haven’t been banned yet. I am sure a lot of other people must have done this too.

              • @OZBsince2018:

never sent any device to them

Was it all phones? Did they charge $60? I remember seeing $30 here but I think that might have just been trading in buds.

                • @CodeXD: In the beginning they were a bit disorganised and I wasn’t charged anything a couple of times. But now yes, they charge $60 as device non-return fee.

              • @OZBsince2018: I can vouch that you would not be banned if you did not return a device previously.

                • @vchung916: I know. I have been doing these trade ins without sending the devices to them.

            • +2

@cloudie9: Maybe they are happy with the $60 no-return fee, just like how people sign up for a Telstra plan at JB Hi-Fi and TGG to get the bonus and then cancel it. If they were actually losing money, they would surely close the loophole.

        • -2

Please start reading their condition before using their service.

          • @Avi0001: I agree with Avi0001. They would breach the terms and conditions to charge you if you never send in anything. Last year I used the trade-in bonus for a Fold 6 and they said they will charge me late return fee, and long story short, they did not (could not, actually) charge me for the late return fee as I did not send in any device to Asurion.

            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16198082/redir

            • @vchung916: did they mark anything into the credit score file if you checked it?

  • Any sign of shipment?

    • -3

      😂

    • +1

Nothing yet but hopeful it will be early!!

  • +2

Ordered the Jade Green 512gb on 23.01 but my order status was constantly changing between shipped and awaiting dispatch.

I got sick of it and contacted their support chat. Have been advised the below:

Upon checking your order, Your Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is now on 'Shipping Preparation' which means that there's already an assigned courier for it and is waiting to be picked up. The reason why the status of your order is changing is due to your 50W Power Adapter Duo which will be handled by another courier.

  • Has anyone else received their Samsung rewards points, but their order status changed from "Shipped" back to "Awaiting Dispatch"?

    • rewards points will be updated after 24 to 48 hrs after its delivered

      • I received the reward points, but my order status has changed from "Shipped" back to "Awaiting Dispatch."

  • Has anyone actually got a tracking number yet?

    • I think that will most likely happen tonight for the orders that are flagged as arriving by 6 Feb.

      • I ordered mine on the 23rd around 8pm. 25Ultra 256 Jetblack, Buds pro 3, case and screen protector. Its still showing Awaiting Dispatch "Ships from: 06 Feb 2025" on the order page. Do you think We will be receiving tracking numbers tonight?

        • Yeah, I think so.

        • Same for me. Ordered 25U 256 Jetblack with Buds 3 Pro on 23rd 9pm. Still showing Awaiting Dispatch "Ships from: 06 Feb 2025"

      • +7

Samsung says "get it by 7 Feb 2025", and with Star Track to metro regions is often 1 day delivery.
Why is your patience wearing thin? You should expect it to be dispatched Wed / Thur for this Delivery date?

Samsung support chat is going to have no visibility behind warehouse logistics beyond the status the warehouse assigns them in the system. They aren't even in the same country.

In my experience with a registered AusPost account I get a notification from startrack that the label has been created, then an email from Samsung with the tracking once the delivery has been picked up, then it's next day. Asking StarTrack and Samsung before that is an entire waste of yours and their time.

    • I called and got my tracking number but they said it's not active yet i.e the phone is ready to be picked up by the delivery company. I'm in NSW, they said it will be through StarTrack. I suspect it will be updated today/tomorrow with delivery for tomorrow/Wednesday. On par with most other years being a few days earlier then the 'release date'

  • +1

I got a austpost tracking number, order status still waiting dispatch. Tracking says it’s coming today. I don’t know what it is, says signature required.

    • What did you order and when?

      • I don’t believe its the phone but I haven’t ordered anything that should require signature, I have couple of parcels coming later this week. So its kinda confusing.
        I ordered 23/01 around 6pm

        • Does it say startrack?

          • -1

@thedean: No, I don’t know what I am getting and who is sending

            • +1

@Mregmi: How much are you ordering online where you get a tracking number for a package but dont know what it is nor who is sending it lol

            • +1

@Mregmi: I guess one can easily distinguish Startrack tracking number from AusPost tracking number as Startrack ones are different from AusPost ones.

        • In the AusPost app, or even by plugging in the tracking into AusPost website, it should show what type of Service it is using, e.g. Parcel Post, Express Post or Startrack.

  • After reading reviews and getting my S23U refreshed think I'll cancel my order.

The 25 has some nice benefits, cured coners, few grams less, but not huge improvements and for me they're outweighed by the S pen downgrade. The remote shutter is super handy.

Shame as its a sharp price. But one not worth it. IMO.

(Now to work out how to get a bargin S24u)

    • +2

You bought it so cheap you may as well sell the S25U on FB marketplace for a profit to subsidise the S24U lol

      • What do you realistically think it would sell for? Its 512gb. I added care+ too, would be forfeiting that. And the hassle of selling the buds3.

Not sure theres gonna be that much profit..

My S25 is due for delivery on the 14th.

    • +2

If the Spen is a dealbreaker than the s24u is the way to go.

      Otherwise, the s25u is better.

      • -2

Anyone who owns a Samsung Watch should stfu about the pen honestly, It can do the same thing even better. I had the Note series for years and never used the feature, Samsungs own data says fewer than 1% did.

        • +1

          No wearables here

          • @Rbnutz: Then entirely fair enough if you used the feature.

        • +2

How does it do it better? I've tested both and the watch requires you to either set up a timer so you have time to look back at the camera OR look down at it to see where the button is, line up your finger, look back at the camera and touch the screen.

Pen you look at camera and press the button.

          • @CodeXD: Because you can use the far superior rear camera and see the preview in the watch, rather than blindly lining it up and using the pen.

Edit - I do agree it's stupid you have to install another app to do it. It should be baked in like with iPhone.

        • They can remove couple of cameras from the back as well, I don’t think many people people using all of them

          • @Mregmi: Idk what they all do, but I do know pretty much every music concert I've gone to, my zoomed video's and pictures are far superior to anyone else that doesn't have an ultra or has an iPhone. And I have an S21

          • +2

            @Mregmi: This!
The actual reason is cost saving only - bluetooth SPens are at least $2-3 more expensive (for Samsung)
If S25U sells upwards of 20-25mn units, that's $50mn saving right there!

          • @Mregmi: I routinely use all mine. Granted I may not know what Im doing, but I shoot a lot from elevations and always playing around to try get the best shot.

            • @Rbnutz: My point is their reason to remove bluetooth is not the users not using it, instead saving some pennies and then are lying

              • @Mregmi: Ah, I was replying to your earlier post about the numbers of cameras 🙃

    • +2

Supposedly according to Samsung, you must be part of the 1% who uses those features on the spen.

      • +2

There are dozens of us! Dozens!

        • +1

only ozbargainers know how to extract the full value of a purchase

      • I also use S-Pen Bluetooth features.

Also, I don't know if I trust that 1% number which Samsung mentioned.
They could have got it using device usage statistics but not everyone agrees to share device usage statistics unless they secretly still get that.

        • It would be 1% of people that enabled data sharing, which in the grand scheme of things would likely be a statistically significant sample size.
          https://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/statistical-significanc…

          • +1

@thedean: Yes that number would be significant sample size but somewhere I feel people who use things like Bluetooth features of S-Pen would slightly be more cautious about what they share back with device manufacturers. So most of actual users of those features are skipped in those samplings.

This is just my feel though. It could actually be Samsung is right all along. I have used those features but I will adapt to it being not there as well.

  • My order says shipping from 13th Feb. Is it because I ordered late?

    • +1

Yes, initial allocation sold out before you ordered.

      • Bummer, thanks for confirming.

      • +1

You never know with Samsung. As Samsung is notorious when it comes to the deliveries. Already some buyers who ordered (same specs/color phone and accessories that I ordered) later than me, but already mentioned in comments above that their orders marked as shipped, whereas mine still showing awaiting dispatch. I ordered S25U 256GB Jetblack with Buds 3 Pro on 23rd Jan 9pm, but it hasn't progressed at all showing awaiting dispatch ships from 6th February and Cancel button still available.

  • According to pre-order history, Samsung normally delivers your phone on Friday (for us it's 7th Feb) for the first order batch.

    • It's always been a day or two earlier than the launch date. They anticipate delivery could take upto 2 days but since it's Priority overnight with Startrack, usually it ends up being early.

  • Just called Samsung. they advised me the order will be despatched around the 6th feb. also they advised that because i used the accessories voucher, it will not be possible for change of mind cancellation for just the accessories even after they are delivered.
Congrats to whoever managed to cancel from the app before they fixed it

    • i ordered on the app and cancelled on website

    • +2

Nah it depends on who you end up speaking to. They will return it. Just stop asking questions right now until everything is delivered.

You might even be able to return it via the portal or just give them a call later once the order is marked as completed

    • Samsung has been very inconsistent… you could get different answers from different people and be treated differently in the end by the actual person who handles it….

  • -12

    Received tracking from courier please.

    • +3

My samsung order email specifically states

Delivery will be completed by Samsung's delivery partner, Startrack. While every effort will be made to meet a delivery timeframe of 1-10 business days, please note that unforeseen delays may occur.

      • It's always Startrack. Unless it's a home appliance which is ANC or something like that

    • Did you buy something from Catch?

      • -4

Yeah ..tracking is from catch :D

  • -2

Hi everyone, does anyone know the consequences of not returning the trade-in phone?

    • Yes. It is outlined in the email from asurion.

    • -1

$60 device non-return fee will be charged.

      • -1

        It's upto $60.

If you are trading in a dummy item like $1 or something, they will only charge $30

        • What if you get in touch prior to been charged? Advise you will not be sending the phone due to some reason and avoid the $60 or so fee?

          • @GoldStar: Once the trade ID has been used to place an order there is no looking back. I have tried this in the past. The only way to not be charged is to return the phone. During that return process Asurion will charge you but once the order is returned with Samsung, you can raise a ticket to refund you the admin fees. I did this with my watch order last year so can confirm.

            • @abs898: Thanks. How much were the admin fees?

              • @GoldStar: Depending on what you have put in, it is either $30 for low range or $60 for higher

      • Plus the trade in value (security deposit they took).

        • Of course but thats already deducted from the phone price so technically we aren’t paying anything there 🙂

          • @OZBsince2018: Yep! I just wanted to clarify for OP in case they hadn't traded in a dummy, and instead, a newer phone with a decent trade in value, and what would happen if they didn't return it. I traded in my S21 Ultra, which removed $240 off the phone price. If I don't send it in, AIUI, I would be charged $300 ($240 security charge + late return fee of $60)

    • In the past you could use single use credit cards but from memory you can't so it anymore The other option is using a credit card which you are going to close. Then can't charge the fee because it gets rejected by the bank.

      • +2

Why don’t you use PayPal for payments when you can cancel automatic payments directly from your PayPal account? I never do this, I’m happy as long as they only charge me $30 or $60 with no return fee.

        • +2

I don't think you can use PayPal for trade-in. It's different from Samsung checkout

          • +2

@KB57: Yes, you can. I did this year.

      • This year, I can still use single use virtual debit card to pay the security charge to Asurion.

        • Where are you creating virtual cards?

          • @thedean: Revolut

            • @vchung916: They can still charge your virtual card if you have enough balance. You need to create a disposable virtual card.

    • They can't charge you if you never return anything.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/890072?page=11#comment-161…

      • +1

Also they can't if you use a burner virtual cc

      • +2

        https://www.samsung.com/au/trade-in/

Scroll down to FAQ -> Trading-in return -> What happens if I don't send in my trade-in device?

You have 7 days to return your device to Asurion once you receive your new eligible Galaxy device. If you do not return your device within 14 days, you will be automatically charged a Late Return Fee of up to $60, which is non-refundable. The Security Charge will be held until your device is received and graded. Samsung may also charge you for any additional bonus credit applied to your order.

        • You are not bounded by the FAQ but the terms and conditions.

Just tell them you are waiting for 90 days to pass and for Clause 7.3(b) of the terms and conditions to kick in.

        • -1

My experience last year. Up till today they still have not charge me any late return fee related to that phone. And I can do the same this year again

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/855777?page=1#comment-1557…

          • @vchung916:

Up till today they still have not charge me any late return fee related to that phone

            That is because you:

…used a one-time debit card in an account with less than $10

Don't know why you keep saying they didn't charge you when you purposely used a debit card without the required funds. It isn't that they didn't charge you cos we all know they did, just got rejected.

          • @bohn: Your link says the same thing lol

            5.7 If You:
            (a) fail to post in Your Existing Device to Us within fourteen (14) days after the date on which You receive Your New Samsung Device at your nominated delivery address, You may be charged a Late Return Fee in accordance with clause 7.3(a) below; or
            (b) post in a device to Us that is an In-eligible Device, You may be charged an In-eligible Device Fee in accordance with clause 7.2 below. Upon payment of the In-eligible Device Fee, Your In-eligible Device will be returned to You; or
            (c) post in a Mis-Graded Device, You may be charged a Mis-Grading Device Fee in accordance with clause 7.1(d) below

            • +1

@CodeXD: No, it says you may be charged in accordance with 7.3(a)

Now you need to read that

7.3 only deals with late returns, not non returns. The terms were updated in July 2024. They are different from previous years

            • @CodeXD: People at Whirlpool are also talking about this $60 late return fee.

              https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/9z4ym858?p=48

Yes, I did what I did because I know that Asurion has no ground to charge this $60 late return fee but they may still choose to charge every one who does not return anything. If they act according to the T & C, they should only charge people who return between 14-90 days. But they probably won't act according to the T & C.

              What can you do?
You can do what I did (use a burner card or a debit card from an account that can only pay the security charge), or you can show Asurion that according to the T & C, they shouldn't charge you when they send you reminder to send in your device. If they later still choose to charge you, you can show your bank that you disagree with the $60 charge (maybe show the T & C to the bank), Asurion has no right to charge you and request a chargeback.

I just visited JB to have a look. Somehow, I feel a bit disappointed, the S23 Ultra seemed better built.

    • +3

You're probably getting downvoted because you're comparing a heavier built aluminium phone to a lighter built titanium phone.

Feel is subjective though, trust your own experience. For me personally they have nailed the s25u.

  • -11

I just contacted samsung for a tracking number for my order they gave me something but doesnt even work with aus post or star track

    • +2

Samsung will likely batch process tracking numbers. They probably haven't even processed the batch to StarTrack yet which is why it doesn't scan.
Why did you bother wasting their time? It clearly says it will arrive by the 7th and others above have already confirmed it's getting dispatched a couple days before then.

      • +2

They told me shipping from the 6th but my order says get by the 6th.

        • "Ships from the 6th" was changed to "Get it by 7th".
The official release date is the 7th, people may get it earlier because Samsung tries to get it in your hand by official date, I doubt your says you should expect it before the 7th.

          • @thedean: Definitely says get it by 6th.
            I ordered 10am 23rd

        • +1

Same for me..Get it by 6FEB
          https://imgur.com/a/Kh0RG5K

          • @merchant909: I'm surprised, what timezone were you in when you ordered it? SA or WA by chance?

      • So true, @blitzn you wont get it any sooner or later by messaging support.

Hey who knows they might get annoyed and 'accidently' not send it for another week…

        • -2

It's unfair and frankly ridiculous to criticise people for being excited about receiving their new phones. This is a significant purchase for many, and their anticipation is understandable. The "get it by February 7th" deadline feels arbitrary, especially since JB Hi-Fi will have them for sale in store tomorrow, and other retailers like Optus have already shipped pre-orders.

          • -2

@UrbanLegend: You're correct. We should ignore the blatantly obvious timeline Samsung gives that is 4 business days away and hassle their customer support team to hassle their warehouse team to confirm the information they've already provided.

Honestly, some people should work in customer service once in their life to know how annoying and entitled it is.
It would be different if the date had passed.

            • -2

@thedean: A company the size of Samsung, especially with a major product release, likely has established procedures for handling customer inquiries like this. It's unlikely they'd be unduly bothered by a customer calling to check on their order status, even if that information is available online. If you ever worked in customer service, you'd know that dealing with customers who ask readily available questions is a common occurrence.

          • +3

@UrbanLegend: Yeah, but you also didn't pay the JB or Optus price. If you wanted in on the 4th, you could have.

Samsung hasn't changed its timeline; you knew when placing the order and stacking a gazillion coupons that it would ship by the 6th; I am not sure why you are whinging. You should have complained when you were able to stack multiple coupons and dip into every discount possible.

In past years, they have always delivered it by the date they listed during pre-order.

            • -3

              @abs898:

I am not sure why you are whinging.

I am not sure why you're assuming I'm "whinging". I just pointed out WHY it is not unreasonable for someone to make enquiries re their orders, even if that information is available online. I, for one, couldn't care less when Samsung delivers my phone. And what someone paid at the end of the day shouldn't factor into this discussion. People took opportunity of the discounts because the discounts were offered. Common sense would dictate that buying direct from Samsung would be the fastest way to obtain a newly released device.

          • +1

@UrbanLegend: Everybody who preordered is excited…

What part of what i said is unfair or ridiculous? Messaging support is pointless and wont change when the phone arrives. Its not like hes the odd one out and everybody else here got their phones early.

            • -3

              @Fooah:

What part of what i said is unfair or ridiculous?

              This part:

Hey who knows they might get annoyed and 'accidently' not send it for another week…

              • -1

@UrbanLegend: Samsung order pages shows the expected delivery timeframe. Unless you haven't received it until then, it's childish to keep contacting support for an update. FFS, in the end it's just a phone. I would love to receive it as soon as possible, but I wouldn't keep contacting them until they break their indicative delivery date.

            • -2

@Fooah: This is partly why support is overwhelmed whenever a new phone is released because people keep contacting them about pointless queries like when they will get their order.

  • last year for reference, I pre-ordered s24U on the first day, it said "ships from 29/01" and was delivered on 29/01

p sure I was in the first batch me mates

  • -11

    Auspost notification:

    Your delivery is coming
    We've got your parcel details
    Delivering to VIC 3000…
    Being packed by sender

We've just received the shipping information for your delivery. It should be on its way within 3 business days.

    • Noice. Congratulations mate.
Will you mind me asking which colour phone is it?
Also, did the status change in orders section of the website?

    • +6
      • +2

Haha I saw that blunder earlier today. May be now they got it for real?
Never know haha. Let's hear from the mate.

        • +1

          still doesn't say Startrack lol

        • It will says from Samsung if it is from Samsung lol

I think that is ebay lol

        • Open it in the website or app and screenshot the 'Delivery Service', will say StarTrack if what you are saying is true. It's not hard.

        • Have you received Samsung Rewards points?

        • its all part of his pyramid scheme. We have fell for it!

          • +1

@lplau: To be fair @CodeXD tried to warn me about him but naive me wanted to trust the great Pyramid because that's the only ray of hope I saw yesterday haha.

  • +1

Mine now showing get by 10 Feb.
    Ordered early on release day.
    S25 blueblack.

    • +2

Mine still says awaiting dispatch and get it by Feb 7. S25U in Tit Blue. Ordered in the morning on release day. Sometimes what the site says is wrong. I do remember having a phone in my hand and the site says it was still awaiting dispatch. Sometimes you can get the other parts of the order later.

    • Did exactly that a few years ago on my last trade in and they didn't even notice. Dunno if they are more strict now though.

  • Has anyone had there order shipped yet?
Mine says get it by 6th Feb

    • +2

      Congratulations

      • Not shipped yet tho :( I wonder if it will actually come on the 6th

  • I have managed to scratch my trade in device.
Preordered last week the s25u trading in my s23u for $600. was perfect condition at the time.
Have now put an area of fifine scratches and scuff marks top middle of the phone screen below the front camera. any idea how much asurion will reduce my trade in? I also have 10 days left on my samsung care+, so another option would be to send it in for a refesh and sell it myself. though not sure I can now I have booked it for trade in.
    any thoughts?

    • +1

Wait didn't you already post this… lol

      • accidental. for some reason I couldnt see the first one so tried again. then deleted the first one when I saw there was 2. sorry for the confusion

    • -1

I would say check mobile monster or webuyback. They offer a better price. Do the math and see if its worth swapping it out with samsung care for a better price.Asurion wont charge you the $60 extra from their new terms and conditions.

      • they wont charge the $60? oh didnt realise there was a change. thanks

  • It seems that I will be traveling overseas before the phone is delivered, so I won't be able to claim a TRS refund, which is disappointing.

Anyone knows how long Startrack/Aus Post holds packages for? I did a quick Google search and it seems to be 10 business days, but since I'll be away for a few weeks, I'm not sure if the 10-day timeframe is strictly enforced or if there is some flexibility. I don't want to cancel the order because it seems the promotions end on February 13th.

    • +1

Long back I was in a similar situation with some other parcel and I explored this hold mail thing.

      https://auspost.com.au/receiving/manage-your-mail/redirect-h…

Fortunately didn't have to use it but may be you can check with them.

    • +1

Interesting thing, last year I didn't collect my phone, and it got returned to Samsung. But Sammy ended up resending it without even contacting me. I know this might not happen every single time, just sharing my experience.

Your other option is to ask Startrack or if you have a registered Mypost account to redirect it to a mates or parcel locker which has a longer holding period.

    • Give them my address

    • +1

You can call your local Auspost office to put a vacation hold. Or authorize someone else to collect.

  • +3

I ordered a S25 from TGG Blacktown by signing up this deal:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891474

Just received a call from them that my S25 is ready for collection.

    • +3

You should post there lol this deal is for ordering from samsung via edu/epp

      • +2

I posted it here just to let everyone know that Samsung is already delivering the phones to the retailers.

P.S. I ordered one S25U via this deal as well 🙂

      • +2

@CodeXD Yea but still good to know, as people are checking this thread for order updates etc.

  • Hi there, looking for people's wisdom. I opted for a trade in of my S24+ 256gb for $565 however MobileMonster and MobileGuru are paying more for the phone.

Would there be any penalty beyond the $565 security deposit being held if I didn't send it to Asurion and to another party instead? It notes in the T&C's Samsung may collect further $$ from the coupons etc - wondering if this is the case?

I'm happy to send the phone to Asurion but I'm leaving some free money on the table by not asking this question lol

If anyone knows which third party is best for process / simplicity in sending in my phone please let me know too :) Thanks!

    • There is a huge discussion on this page and page 38 if you have a scroll on that very topic.
Plus you can read the T&C's in the emails sent by Asurion.

    • -1

You will be charged additional $60 for device non-return fee.

      • Under the T & C

        https://images.samsung.com/is/content/samsung/assets/au/term…

There is no such term as "non-return fee" under the definition clause 14. Under clause 14, they have Late Return Fee but no non-return fee. However, in my previous correspondences with Asurion, they did mentioned this term "non-return fee" a few times, which reflects that Asurion does not act in accordance with the T & C.

  • Has anyone tried if these codes work with the S24U?

  • +2

Wow! We're on page 40 now with no signs of shipment yet. They can still hit the goal of delivery by 6th/7th even if they ship by tomorrow using StarTrack.

    • Other countries got theirs last week 1 week after pre order

      • Yeah but aren't we in Australia always the last ones to get it (talking about orders from Sammy website only and not in-stores) ?
US and EU always get them before us.

      • Perks of living in Australia where everything works at a snail pace 🥹

    • I still haven’t received my case so I am happy to wait for the phone

      • +1

That's good. When I pre-ordered last time, I got my case almost one month after. Both case and phone were in same order. Unfortunately I dropped the phone as well during that period.

      • I ordered a case from Otterbox and it shipped way quicker than I anticipated…same with screen protector off Amazon. So just awaiting phone now lol

        • I bought one UAg from Melbourne

      • I'm actually disappointed my Spigen case probably won't arrive in time for the phone. I'm pretty sure it was already here in other years.

I did order a bunch of cases from Samsung, so it will be nice if at least one of those is delivered at the same time. If not, the Quad lock case, which I only intend to use a few times here and there, and I also ordered on launch day, has been here for a few days, so I'll have that until something better comes along.

  • +1

NZ Samsung deliveries have started today. My friend got 2 S25 ultra 512gb delivered too both online exclusives.

    • Did they order on the 23rd?

      • He infact ordered on 26th Jan close to midnight

        • Ah NZ, missed that. We really get the short end of the delivery stick here in aus. Wonder if its because of all the weird accessory cancellation and $1 trade ins.

          • @OZcheepsk8: Infant i just moved over from there few months ago and you wont believe what EPPs deals comes over the year. I bought S24 ultra fews times and on 50% off on EPP. My friend order had payment problems with samsung on retail and he got 50% off and ended up buying 5 512gb for 1250 each.

            • @Emenent7426: nice. 1250 comes close to the value of the 512gb with all the vouchers. Samsung products devalue so fast I'm nervous to even try to flip

  • Can anyone recommend cases with precise hole cut-outs? Spigen this year looks dissapointing…

    • I ordered the dBrand Ghost just before I ordered the phone, and to be honest it looks like it will arrive before the phone!

      • looks nice but unfortunately cant afford to pay 45 usd for a clear case. Skins are nice though, love that xray.

        • My previous dBrand is still on my S21U from launch.
Personally I love clear cases but I always replace them when they yellow. It's cheaper than the 3 or 4 clear cases I'll go through and get annoyed with the colour overtime.

          • @thedean: I love/hate the clear cases too, but since moving from an all black phone I've been using them and replacing them as needed. Normally Spigen, but the S22U Spigen was a terrible material, so I had a look at the clear Samsung case I got with my order and I loved it. Ordered more of those as needed for the S22U.

I've ordered another Spigen, but used part of my $200 bonus to get 5 of those clear cases, that should do it.

Got this for my S24 Ultra and getting another for S25 Ultra. I find it gives better protection over the camera holes than any other case I've used.

I wanted to get the Magsafe version but when I used it on my S24 Ultra the magnet is so strong that it actually prevented me from using any wireless charging pads which was a shame.

      • Very nice. Not fond of clear cases but will lookout for cases from that brand. Looks neat

        • I believe they also have leather & silicone cases if that's what you prefer :)

  • +1

For all pre-order purchases, the logistics will start handing over the orders to Startrack on February 5, 2025.

    • Is this info reliable?

      • -1

        You will find out tomorrow.

    • How do you know this?

    • Yup. Customer Care guys told me the same thing on 24th Jan when I asked them to at least ship the buds as that's not being launched now. They said all items in the order are booked to be handed over to StarTrack on 5th Feb.

  • My cancel button just dissapeared. PROGRESS!. Ordered Jet black on 24th

    • Check the status again. It may have appeared again. Happened with me this morning- there was no Cancel button and now there is. Ordered jetblack 256GB on 23rd.

      • Where are you guys seeing the ccancel button? I never got one on my login and I have two orders.

        • +1

For most people who ordered on 23rd, cancel button disappeared last week itself.
It appears in first header row of the order page if you click view details on it.

      • Its dissapeared. But my ship from date has moved from 13th to 17th Feb. Fkn disaster!!!

        • -2

Looks like the S25 phones will be available to walk in buyers from retailers before the preorders from Samsung get delivered 😀

          • +1

@OZBsince2018: At full price tho, discounted phones need to have patience 😂

            • @abs898: Not really. I already collected my S25 512GB today from TGG. Ordered on Saturday 1st February. Paid $0 for the phone plus $79 first month fee and $527 cancellation fee. So total $606.

              • +1

@OZBsince2018: And a credit check. Signing a contract and outright are different type of purchases.

Sure you cancelled the contract but you did go through the application, a credit hit and then cancellation.

Buying directly from Samsung coated the same. I paid $480ish for s25 256gb, 512 wasn't that expensive either.

                • @abs898: I don’t have a mortgage or any loans, done with these already 🙂 so a credit check doesn’t matter to me.

                  • -2

@OZBsince2018: You could have just gotten a new credit card, taken the credit hit. Purchased via this deal for 500-550. Received bonus on your credit card too. Double dipping if credit hit isn't your concern

                    • +2

@abs898: Didn’t need to go that far mate 😅

                      • -2

@OZBsince2018: Exactly my point lol didn't need to go far with the contract application either and compare to an outright phone purchase

                        • -1

@abs898: Took 5 minutes IN and out of Store for signing up and then 2 minutes to pick up the phone, compared to having to do trade in, buy voucher, use vouchers and then wait for Samsung to deliver which I did for my S25U 🥹

        • Date has changed again!! from Get it by 17th Feb to 11th Feb. Please another few days forward is all I ask.

  • Response from chat:

Upon checking on my resources, since the product that you purchase is a Pre-Order. The orders will start connoting on February 3, 2025. The logistics will start handing over the orders on February 5, 2025, and that's when you will receive an order dispatched emails, with deliveries starting on February 10, 2025.

Hold tight till Monday I guess

    • +1

StarTrack is pretty quick, it they hand them on 5th then we should have them by the end of the week

    • when was your ship from date? could the chat be referencing your specific order, I suspect most who ordered on day 1 will get by 7th

      • Ordered on day 1 (23 Jan @10am) Titanium Grey

        • Will you sign ma tetten mr Huang?

  • Does anyone know if you cancel the order and re order if I will get the 5% off discount again for re order via App? I asked Samsung and they are giving all the different answers.

    • You can always register a new account though.

      • Sneaky

      • Not as easy on edu/epp unless you have multiple governement/edu emails?

    • +5

Next year im going to just get a standard colour…

      • +1

tbh colors are a bit of disappointment this time around. typing this on my Titanium Violet S24U, I love that colour, but it's time to let go

all black is boring. green and pink nah. silver blue too light. titanium black looks interesting but still dull. same about white. I went with titanium grey but it just stood out slightly more to me. violet and orange were awesome on S24U

        • I can live with a less desirable colour but a week earlier shipping. Getting $90 less for trade in

          • @OZcheepsk8: yeah also it was a standard colour. win win

but hopefully more intense colours next year

at any rate, I am trading in the galaxy watch I got last year for free, s24U will go for 860, and for the 300 I am out of pocket I get buds3 and double the storage, along with bump up to latest model.

            regardless, these preorders kick ass.

            • @shabaka: Get MM to pricematch your MG quote. They will add $30.

              • @OZcheepsk8: MG is right next to my house, for $30 I'd rather drop off and get money on the spot

thanks a lot for the suggestion, much appreciated

                • @shabaka: Wait… they give it to you on the spot? Like assess it there and then?

                  • @OZcheepsk8: that's what the website said I think

                    • @shabaka: ahh. I might check that out. Typically with MM they take away the phone and in about a weeks time you get your assessment or revised offer and the cash into bank after that

                      • @OZcheepsk8: Is MM mobile monster? What is MG?

                        • +1

@CodeXD: MobileGuru. Both melbourne based with physical drop-offs. Mobile Guru has the better trade in price on my device but can get that price beat (upto +$30) by MobileMonster.

                          • @OZcheepsk8: Do we need to take appointment for drop-offs? And what's the advantage, if they can't assess/quote on the spot?

                            • +1

@hanofee: walk in and drop off, no appt needed. Benefit: peace of mind. you know they received your phone and dont have to worry about their staff stealing packages or swapping phones (see Asurion trade in nightmare stories).

Edit: although I still recommend taking photos + vid of working phone before trade in

                              • @OZcheepsk8: The Flip5 vs Flip5 5G is a joke reading about it in the Samsung subreddit. So many people returned their phone and Asurion said it was a Flip5 and not a Flip5 5G and charged them.

                                • @thedean: I had a tool who tried to return my phone because IMEI didn't match. They read IMEI 1 and not IMEI 2. I had contacted the Samsung CEOs office and had a quick turnaround.

                            • @hanofee: the mobileguru page says when you go to do a drop off order:

Get a cosmetic assessment of your device on the spot.

                              • @bohn: cosmetic may not equal a full assessment e.g battery life etc. I dont know but taking guesses

Just got a shipping label notfication in Australia post.
says they should have it in 3 days. Not much info in there, just a tracking label but not who from.

    • +3

Based on all negs and disappearance of OP after posting about shipping notification, I assume it's another uninformed or fake post.

Just curious what fun will it be for someone to do something like this without checking it themselves first when you know people are eagerly waiting for that notification.

Yeh I can't wait to get my order either (so I can return it and redo it lol). Pretty annoying they stopped allowing cancellations at all about halfway through this promo..

    • +1

      Why redo it?

      • Decided on finally biting the bullet and trying an ultra, anti reflection looks too tempting.

    • Vouchers may not work after the preorder period

      • Yeh was hoping could do it in time to use the evoucher again but it's not looking likely now oh well

        • Looks like vouchers discount extended until 13/02

          • @Mregmi: It has always been 13/02.

This is my email from Samsung when I registered for the unpacked - received on 8th Jan

From 26th January 2025 5:00AM AEDT, the value of the eVoucher will revert to its original value of $100 and will be valid until 13th February 2025 11:59PM AEDT.

            • @CodeXD: I didn’t know, I just got a new code in the app today, wasn’t there before

          • @Mregmi: Yeh I think it's midnight on the 13th all the preorder stuff ends.

    • You could have cancelled if you called them or through chat assuming order hadnt been packed yet. Once the cancel button disappears, means they have processed your order and it can be difficult to track down your box within the thousands of other ones.

      • -2

Nah tried that, there was still a cancel button, I had in fact successfully cancelled an order a few days prior but changed my mind yet again (yeh I've been indecisive ><). Cancel button didn't work anymore, called to try that way but they said cause it was a bundle order and people have been abusing it they stopped ALL cancellations in a computer said no type situation. Even explained to him the evoucher situation and he acknowledged that, but he said basically too bad hopefully you can return it in time. Pretty bs if you ask me, changing the rules all of a sudden.

        • +1

I mean, you ordered twice and wanted to cancel twice and re-order again. On the same page people are complaining about how long it takes to dispatch orders after ordering, you can't have it both ways.

          • @thedean: Come on now, you should be able to cancel an order before it's even processed. I tried to cancel like a day or 2 later to try and buy something more expensive. What kind of customer relations is that.

            • @buyerbee: So you think Samsung should wait 2 days after ordering before kicking it down the warehouse chain to start the stock allocation, packing and distribution process?

              • @thedean: I don't think anything, it's just how it works. Any other order would have been fine to cancel in such a short time frame (with most companies not just samsung), but he said they locked the system down cause of people doing the preorder bundle manipulations.. Yeh I get there are exceptions like Amazon with their next day stuff but this wasn't that. It's no big deal, just a bit annoying is all.

                • @buyerbee: You're misunderstanding. The system was locked down to prevent cancelling PART orders.
People were getting a bundle discount and then cancelling a single item (e.g. the buds) to retain the discount. Samsung changed this by making it possible to cancel the whole order only if you used a bundle discount.

Order cancelling is still possible before your order has moved down the line to 'preparing for dispatch' which you can see in the browser console in the backend.

Wanting to cancel after 2 days means your assuming Samsung took your order and did no stock allocation or preparation for 2 days, which obviously they are doing given it's the busiest time for their warehouse team. It's on you to be honest, make better decisions next time.

                  • +1

@thedean: Incorrect, they eventually locked out cancelling FULL orders whatsoever as a method to combat the part order order accessory cancellation trick. Do you get what I'm saying? My order hadn't processed at all, cancel button still there you just couldn't click it and even the Samsung guy couldn't do it manually because "the system wouldn't let him" either and even he was a bit confused by that.. So yeah better think through your decision very carefully before buying I'd suggest (i thought I had but I kept changing my mind !)

  • +6

    Shipping day today! (Fingers crossed)

    • Still not sure

      • Mine still 'awaiting despatch' but says get it by 6th Feb….

        • Startrack prob wont pick up til later this afternoon

    • mine is still "get it by 7th" and "awaiting dispatch"

from previous experience, delivery just happens overnight where I live

fit3 watch I ordered yesterday afternoon is "out for delivery" already lol

  • -18

My Auspost updated yesterday and the status is 'Estimated delivery by Wednesday 5 February' but no actual movement today at all yet.

  • Hi there, I just realised i mistook my s8 plus for an s8 and put in trade-in details as an S8. The trade-in value is 1 dollar regardless but would this mean I lose my discounts? will they debit me all the discounts I received? Should I cancel and order again? if anyone has experience with they could share would be much appreciated.

    • +4

No. You can just not return the phone and sell your s8 plus elsewhere. The trade-in bonus and additional discounts are still effective. Asurion will just take the $1 trade-in value deposit. You might get charged of $30 late return fee by Asurion. (Not going to bring up the long discussion on the late/non return fees. )

  • Amazon is claiming this spen works as a bluetooth spen for s25 ultra, also says has long battery life, no need to charge. Probably I will buy it after I get my phone, test and return if doesn’t have bluetooth functionality.

          • @CodeXD: Cost saving. Even if they save $2 on it, they might save $30 million+ right there if they sell same number of S25U as S24U.

          • +2

@CodeXD: This was already officially denied by Samsung when Amazon UK posted wrong Specs for the S Pen separately sold. May be google that and you will find it.

            • @OZBsince2018: Thanks, you're right, what a kerfuffle this has caused

    • +2

It'll be interesting to see, the jerryrigeverything teardown of the S25U shows that it has the induction coil for charging the SPen.

    • Found one on samsung AU website, same RRP but discounted

      https://www.samsung.com/au/mobile-accessories/galaxy-s25-ult…

Handy tools, all at your service
Instantly have at your service an array of tools via Air Command. From sketching to note-taking — you name it, you've got it.

      • And the description is different, doesn’t say anything about Bluetooth

    • I wonder if a bluetooth spen from an old phone will fit in it and work?

      • It doesn't, it won't click in.
JerryRig already tried on his teardown.

  • -2

Mine still awaiting despatch too but says get it by 6th Feb..

Spoke with Samsung they said not one order has been sent out to anyone yet and they will only starting sending orders out tomorrow..

    😐

    • yea previous years Startrack sometimes ignored the connote notes "Do not deliver before xxx date".
Maybe they are actually adhering to it this year.

      • Update: I wrote this out earlier during today but for some reason it didn't post??

Anyway I looked more into auspost app and it gave me a tracking Id starting with EFJZ this is a Samsung tracking number and I haven't even got a email to say it's sending or being dispatched even the app for Samsung store still says the same. But auspost saying item will be delivered tomorrow the 6th and it's now at Sydney sorting facility.

So I really do believe it's coming tomorrow good luck everyone!

Also happy S25 ultra delivery day 😜

  • At the time of purchase i did the trade in option and was willing to send over my S22 Ultra which they valued at $385 and hence they held that amount from my bank account. As luck would have it i since dropped and cracked my S22 Ultra screen. I take it Asurion are going to heavily reduce their evaluation of my phone now to possibly $1? Does anyone have experience from previous years to have an idea what is likely to happen here and what's the best next step to take? Thanks in advance

    • +2

There are so many people who accidentally damaged their screen after trading in their phone.
The best way is to not return your phone, just pay a $60 no-return fee.

      • +1
        • buys S24 Ultra a year ago
"wow this phone will get 10 years of updates and I have Samsung Care! I don't need a case"
        • trades in after upgrading to S25U
"wow OK I better put an ugly lifeproof case on this sucker right about now"
    • +10

I honestly don't understand why people keep contacting chat thinking they will get a different response than the 10 other people in here have contacting chat.

      • +5

Yes, what are people hoping to achieve? Fair enough if it has gone past the scheduled date but why do people keep harassing customer service before the scheduled date

      • +4

Yeah or that it will make a difference on how fast you will get the phone.

  • +1

Silver S25 256GB here with white Buds 3 Pro.
Ordered on the 24th and it's still "Awaiting Dispatch" with "Ships from 6 Feb".

    • Same man

  • -2

Got an update from an agent. Best case delivery tomorrow, but seems it will meet the committed date at least. My status is currently "Awaiting Dispatch, get it by 7 Feb":

Upon checking here, the order is in shipping preparation status, you order have been generated and transferred to the warehouse. The warehouse will then pick, pack and dispatch the order. Orders should progress to ‘Shipped’ status within 6 hours.

The requested delivery date of the order is on 6th of February which is tomorrow. Once the courier get your order they will contact you right away for delivery.

  • Some action on whirlpool. Samsung dispatched emails.

  • 1 out of 2 of my orders dispatched, both ordered on day 1.

  • +1

My order from 25 Jan is on the way. Just received notification.

    • +1

Same. Just received notification from app. S25+ blue black custom colour, ordered 9.30am 23rd Jan.

Order now shows as On The Way, IMEI appears in the order details, and Startrack tracking has appeared in the Auspost app. Rural area though, so estimated delivery is Friday 7th.

Interestingly, opening up tracking details in the Auspost app says that Startrack received it on the Monday 3rd (probably held in embargo)

  • Got aupost tracking number automatically added from Startrack. Expected delivery tomorrow. Jet Black Titanium s25 ultra 512.

    • Nothing yet for me - Ordered on the 23rd at 8pm. Jetblack Titatnium 256 Ultra.

  • ordered 23 Jan…no notification or tracking details yet

  • +1

Got aupost tracking number automatically added from Startrack. Expected delivery tomorrow. Jet Black Titanium s25 ultra 512 and pink gold same storage

  • +4

Didn't receive any emails from Samsung yet but decided to check my Auspost account and can see there's a Startrack tracking number added.
Funnily, it says "This parcel is late. Was expected to arrive Tuesday 4 February". It's definitely the phone as I haven't done any other online shopping recently and the tracking shows signature is required.

    Ordered S25U 512GB JetBlack around 8:30am on the 23rd.

  • +1

For people who get the shipping notification - could you please do me a favour and add date of your purchase and whether its an online exclusive colour please?

    • hows thats going to help ?

      • +5

so I can collect S25U shipping data that I can sell to the CCP

        • nice

          • +3

@U30004: in seriousness, so I can gauge whether exclusive colours have delayed delivery and an expectation of when I can get mine.

            • -3

@OZcheepsk8: mate… isnt your sanity more important? why would you want to be anxious till your phone is delievered?

              • @U30004: people are going to post updates anyway - may aswell collect some data so I know whether or not to get exclusive colours. Also, need to know when I might receive so I can trade in my phone. I have a few orders open and trying to maximise trade in benefit

            • +1

@OZcheepsk8: It would be down to how popular that colour was. Maybe samsung underestimated the popularity of exclusive colours and didnt make enough for pre orders, particularly jet back as that has a ship date of 27th if you order now.

        • Best response to cover the anxiety, got a laugh from me

  • Did you guys get an email? As I don’t have an Australia post account so I have no idea how on how to check.

    • You can try creating an Auspost account with the same email address you used to order the phone. Though I'm not sure if it will automatically associate the tracking number (assuming it exists) to your new account after the fact.

      • I tried that and nothing😔.

  • +1

Just got an email that my order is on the way, I can track the shipment on Startrack (picked up at 11AM, delivery shows tomorrow)

    Order date: 23/01 ,6:54pm
    Product: S25 U Jet black 512gb

  • Got a tracking number added to my auspost account. It wasn't there when I checked an hour ago. Ordered on Jan 25th, Coming for Sydney

  • Just got a notification that it was shipped. Should get it tomorrow according to the tracking. Notification was sent through email.

  • literally checked mine 2 minutes ago, was awaiting dispatch and I was getting worried. but just now got email and shop notification, it's been shipped woohoo

ordered on 23rd 11am, 512gb grey S25U, buds3 (wasn't able to cancel) and a case, all shipped together

there going to be vans full of S25U all over Australia tomorrow

    • Same phone, same colour, same order time/date, still awaiting dispatch.

      • +1

One of my order with watch got shipped with tracking id (Sydney) ordered this second
Another one on which I cancelled the accessories still waiting to be dispatched (regional) ordered this first

  • Mine is shipped as well. ETA 6th, I was originally getting it by 7th per Samsung. Day 1 Order at 2PM. S25U Jetblack 512GB. Tracking shows it has been with Startrack at one of the Depot on Monday 3rd.

    • I wonder how many S25U packages they can stack on top of each other untill the bottom ones are crushed under the overall weight

    • Same here, my S25 Ultra 1TB got shipped too, get it by 7th Feb.

  • what glass screen protector everyone getting?

    • Aliexpress

someone linked this earler so I got them and will try them out
      https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0DPFV5YQH?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_f…
I was going to go for the dbrand screen protector but they are supper expencive and shipping too….
also got the samsung film stuff as one of my accessories which I prob wont use

      • +1

I posted this link earlier. Always use these for ease of application and perfect for working with fingerprint scanner as well

        • did you order the same? i received the order but the label says for Samsung Galaxy S20 6.8inches

          • @Aemit: Yes. Same for me. Haven’t received the phone yet so can’t check. But with Amazon we can always return 🙂

            • @OZBsince2018: but have to wait till another one arrives to apply the screen protector. its better to install it while the phone is just out of the box

      • got this one thanks…3 pack sharing between 3…thanks everyone

      • what does the label says on urs. mine says for S20 6.8 inches

    • I got dBrand, but I also got the Samsung Anti-glare one as i'm worried glass will reduce the anti-glare effectiveness. I might even just stack them.

      • The ultra has anti-glare under the glass of the screen so you wint need it uf you have the ultra
If you stack the film and a glass protector the finger print reader might not work

        • Yes I know, but I got the anti-glare S25U protector to protect the screen and retain the anti-glare properties.
I can't imagine putting bare glass on top will retain it, but I will experiment.
As a motorbike rider that uses my phone as a GPS I am VERY excited about anti-glare. Even my S21U which has amazing brightness struggles with rear sunlight.

  • got notifications

Status changed to "On its way"
    Jadegreen S25U
    ordered 23rd Jan 5pm

probably will be delivered today or tomm

  • Is there even a chance of delivery today?

  • I just got a email from Samsung my order is shipped. Ordered 23/01 at around 1800 hrs, black 512 gb. Buds were cancelled, getting phone and screen protector. Nothing in austpost app yet

    • -1

You need to add the tracking number

      • mine was added automatically about 10 minutes after "shipped" notification

        • +1

Yes, if Auspost can match it to a customer via email or phone no, it will automatically add.

          • @abs898: Should match, I have email and phone number same in both austpost and Samsung.

  • Have tracking information from StarTrack now in my AusPost account.

    Ordered S25U 256 Jet Black 9:30am Day 1 (23rd Jan) with case and Bud3

    S25U 512GB Jet Black, ordered 8pm of day 1.

          • @jimojr: My bad, I meant 11am. I ordered before that bloke. Anyway, it says 6 Feb, but unlikely since it hasnt shipped yet..

            • @KzD: I replied to CodeXD, he is joking.

  • S25 512 tracking appeared in auspost app. No email.

    • Same, 256gb JGreen. Tracking received.

    • S25U 256 Jade Green
    • Order placed afternoon 23/1/25
    • Shipped 5/2/25
    • Estimated Delivery 6/2/25
  • No email from Samsung or update in account but got one StarTrack tracking in AusPost account.

It says weight of 0.9 Kg only. Not sure if it's just phone or just accessories. Phone + Accesories can't be just 0.9 Kg.

    • Mine says 0.6, phone and buds pro

      • Hmmmm I have phone, case, watch ultra and buds pro. No way it could be 0.9 Kg.. My last watch's box was heavy plus phone's not light either.

May be I am over thinking and it just fits in 0.9 Kg weight haha.

        • from memory they have this measure that is like a combination of weight and volume, so it might not be exact weight of the actual parcel

          • @shabaka: Yes weight and volume and weight is always lower. So for any given weight of parcel, volume is always higher but because of box dimensions, carried weight is always less.

In my case if it's saying 0.9 Kg, actual weight could be less. Anyway, I will know by tomorrow. May be remaining things are coming as separate parcel but haven't got tracked yet.

        • Received email from Samsung now.
It's all the items listed above.

  • +2

Just recieved an email from care.samsung.com saying my order is veing prepared and has an updated dispatch date of the 11/2/24. ( wtf 2024)

  • oh wtf mine got reverted to awaiting dispatch, ordered on 24 Jan night 512gb jet black

  • +2

So I have read the T&C, and it seems to me that sending an "in-eligible" device will only cost me $10 as repayment of the $10 tradein value I was awarded, versus not sending anything at all, which will either cost me $60 ("Late Return Fee means a fee of up to $60 which may be charged by Asurion if you fail to post in your Existing Device within fourteen days…") or $10 (via 7.3.(b) which does not include provision for a late fee when device is sent after 90 days - but is silent on what happens if it never arrives at all).

TLDR: Does anyone know from experience whether the penalty is the same for NOT sending in a device vs sending in an "ineligible" device?
p.s. My green S25U now marked as being shipped, was ordered 23rd Jan

    • +3

I didnt get charged for sending a totally wrong device… lg v30+ from jbhifi from yonks ago

      • +1

So could i send in a s5 mini lol

        • Well, yes. That's pretty much exactly what I am planning to send in: a samsung phone from 2015, having "mistaken" it for an A12.

      • Thanks @OZcheepsk8 ! This sounds safer than risking a late fee then

      • Oh really? Nice I have plenty of ewaste

  • Ordered mine 23rd 9pm and I just got an email saying it's been updated to dispatch of the 11th, originally always said the 6th. Jet black 25 ultra 256gb, buds, kindsuit case and screen protector.

    • Not good. I have a jet black from 24 at noon. Currently get by 11 feb. Hope it doesnt slip

Got the tracking in Auspost account. Didn’t get an email from Samsung and order status still Awaiting to dispatch. Tracking is for Star track so definitely the phone expected deliver is tomorrow. S25 U 512GB jet black. Ordered 12.30pm on 23rd. Order status still show gets by 7th Feb

Finally received shipping notification email from Samsung and website status moved to On the way. Completely skip Shipped

  • I have it in the auspost app, still just says label created by sender. No ETA. It's a jet black that was ordered on the 23rd. Nothing from Samsung yet, still says awaiting dispatch, and get it by the 6th… Somehow I'm not so optimistic, especially since I'm in WA

  • Anyone had a 1tb ship?

    • I ordered a s25u jet black 1tb (ordered on 23rd ~11am), it's not yet shipped, but a friend of mine who ordered the same thing at the same time got their tracking number already

    • 1tb jet black shipped arriving tomorrow

    • The base S25 512GB Shadow Silver that I ordered on 1st Feb from TGG Blacktown in Sydney was already collected yesterday. 🥹
And here we are waiting to receive it directly from Samsung.

Let's call it bargain tax, much prefer to wait a few days and pay $400 for the buds and phone.

        • I paid $0 and 1st month fee $79 plus $527 cancellation fee. So $606 without having tobtrade in anything.

          • @OZBsince2018: For the ultra?

Nvm, just read that you said "the base". Makes sense.

    • 512 gb silver shadow due in tomorrow with Startrack

        • From order page on Samsung store then click track item link redirecting to Startrack (which is still Australia Post)

            • @burgo101: Actually I got an email first directly from Samsung that says item is shipped go to orders page then did the above. Order is now listed as "On the way"

Tracking history as listed on Startrack atm:
              "Arrived at facility
              SYDNEY NSW
              Wed 5 Feb • 12:27pm

              Item processed at sorting facility
              SYDNEY NSW
              Tue 4 Feb • 3:27pm"

And says estimates delivery tomorrow. But I purposely bought one of the quickest delivery colours in case I wanted to return and ran into difficulties (which I have but might be able to send back in time now!). But is the anti glare on the ultra really worth it hmmmm. I'm doing a Hamlet on this stuff geez.

    512gb jetblack ordered day 1
No emails yet but tracking in auspost app coming tomorrow 😁

      • I just checked in the tracking in the app and there was a parcel coming.
I have got the email confirmation now too from Samsung 😁

  • My order went from "waiting for dispatch" and skipped "shipped" status, went straight to being "on the way". S25 Ultra white - ordered 23rd Jan.

  • Jet black with buds.
    Ordered 23/1.
Got email saying it is being sent 11/2

  • Sweet, my order has been shipped.
    S25 Ultra 256gb Titanium Silverblue.
    It's arriving tomorrow! (6/02/2025).

  • Just got an email from Samsung
S25 Ultra Jade Green shipped from tomorrow.
    Order placed 25/01

"Delivery will be completed by Samsung's delivery partner, Startrack. While every effort will be made to meet a delivery timeframe of 1-10 business days, please note that unforeseen delays may occur."

  • Ordered 2/2, invoice said by 6th feb, app order said 13th feb. Cancel button is now gone and says get it by 17th feb. Just a few days before I go overseas. 2x S25 ultras 516gb grey and silver colour. Chose colours with soonest ship date when ordering. Would have loved the green or blue, but they said shipping too late 20th feb.

    • The problem seems to be Jet black ultras only, mine 512 GB Jade green S25 Ultra coming tomorrow, I'm in Adelaide btw

  • Ordered an s25 256gb icyblue and buds3 pro around midday d1 and received an email around 3pm today saying my order has been shipped. No email from startrack/auspost but my tracking number shows on the samsung app and it's expected tomorrow!
