    • that was what i was looking for $1079.20, plus another 2% cashback via cash rewards!

      • Did you pull the trigger LeeLee? Haha so tempted.

        • +2

yes, my bf approves! will get onto it at 10am tomorrow, hopefully they don't jack up the current price!

        • @le3lee:
I have the model below this [BES870] and it is excellent. You can see some comments below if you are unsure of the 870 vs 920:

          http://coffeesnobs.com.au/brewing-equipment-midrange-500-150…

        • @sj2can: thank you! i think i'm inclined to getting the double boiler! i'm sure both make great coffees!

    • Nice, but is Kogan eligible for Canon Cash Back promo?

      • +1

        prolly not :(

        • +1

TC says no grey imports or other than canon retailers

        • Bummer.

    • whats the cheapest for a 6D? i can only see the teds one, which is costly even with discount.

  • +7

have the Kogan prices been jacked up?… seem to be from what i can see, at least for the smartphones anyway.

    • +3

Yes, Kogan's pricing on Ebay compared to the website is way more expensive. I've been looking at the Toshiba rice cooker, it's only $139 on the website, but on Ebay it's $179.55. Though it seems offering free shipping, still it's a total rip off.

      • Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr….. bloody annoying

    • I was looking at an Intel NUC last week for ~$380 on Kogan ebay , now its $440!!

  • does anyone know you can claim TRS for any items bought via ebay? eg: dick smith ebay store?

    • +1

You need to have a tax invoice with ABN on the receipt.

Read all the info you need here ->> https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Ente/Tour/Are-you-a-traveller

      • -1

i presume dicksmith, the good guys wont give a tax invoice for ebay purchases?

        • I think they should? Do the click and collect thing maybe?

        • @Turd:
Previously I have received tax invoices from the good guys.

        • Previous 20% off sale I got tax invoices too when i bought from TFF ebay

edit: I had items delivered too for clarity

        • +3

They do. In fact, they don't even discount the 20%, so you can claim on the full price!

        • @astrodude:

Dick Smith doesn't provide full price. other stores do

        • @aldoduco: well I would have to disagree, my invoice from a previous deal had the full price listed.

        • @astrodude:

If Dick Smith is not aware of the code (like the one from ebay UK) they send full price, if it is a schedule ebay deal and they aware, they have sent and invoice with the discounted amount. Which deal are you referring?

        • I think you'll find they must give a tax invoice regardless of what channel they sold it through - it's tax law for GST.
So as they're registered for GST they need to provide a tax invoice that itemises the GST component and shows the whole amount

        • @rayski57:

          No they don't.

          See point 58 - http://law.ato.gov.au/atolaw/view.htm?docid=GST/GSTR20131/NA…

        • @Maverick-au: I stand corrected seems the law was changed to allow for small transactions to not need one. It used to be required, all the transactions I had done in business were over that limit so I never noticed the change. Suffice to say just about every major store or supplier will provide one regardless of transaction size and without the need to be requested.
But, yes you are right and I was mistaken in this instance.

    • Yes. You can. I claimed TRS for the mobile phone that I bought from TGG 20% ebay sale the last time.

Make sure there's ABN on the invoice.

    • Dicksmith and good guys both have tax invoice before for eBay sale, and no difference from their normal invoice. For dicksmith the invoice start with e, so it means eBay sale, normal web sale start with w.

  • how do I search all the stores in one go?

    • -6

omg really? Click the search button

      • He means all the stores included in the deal. It makes it easier to search for the goods you want because the price filter doesn't include the discount. Similar to the last 20% off ebay deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/199852

        • I'm guessing Turd means the "SEARCH THE SALE" box on the ebay page.

        • @mr kindface: Oh, the link didn't have that search box before, only the t&c :S

      • nvm

        • And I meant click the "SEARCH THE SALE" box after entering what you want to buy.

          :|

      • "Search the sale" box does not show on mobiles. sorry

    • +26

I'm feeling generous, direct link to query

      • Nvm, somebody already updated it :)

Any good PC deals. Looking for a new PC.

or get a PC and a laptop and a phone for the same price

        • +10

What you don't want your change?

      • +8

Some people compare their cheap, ancient 5400rpm Windows XP laptop (or equivalent Vista laptop) to their brand new MacBooks. Of course the MacBooks are going to look fantastic in that situation.

      • +1

        "Its pretty good to use"
        Compelling argument

    • What are you looking for in a PC? What skill you use it for?

      • PC is getting old. Want to use it for some simple video processing.

        • Are you looking for a Desktop or a Laptop?

If it's a Desktop I'm thinking something simple like an Intel G3258 CPU which has built-in video transcoding support with 4GB RAM and a 256GB SSD +3TB HDD (~$700). How much are you looking to spend? Are you willing to build it yourself to save some cash (not too hard to do I swear)?

        • @The Land of Smeg:
Desktop. I can build myself. Just haven't for a while. Was hoping to find something in this sale. Looks like prices have really gone up for PC stuff. Thanks I'll take your suggestion on board. But I'll probably increase the ram to 8GB or 16GB.

        • @tatnal: Yeah the AUD isn't doing us any favours,

  • For anyone looking for Playstation 4 controllers, Target has one that isn't in the controller section for some reason. Link

I can't get the code to work, though. Plus, the code may cause the controller to lose it's free shipping. But I can't check. D:

Edit: Oh, it starts tomorrow? Derp.

    • No surprise. It's dickie.

    • thanks… got 10 of them ;)

    • Hahahhaha - what a real deal…….if today was 1987!

    • But is says "high Speed"!

Looking for a coffee grinder. Any recommendations?

    • +2

I got the breville smart grinder for $199, quite liking it so far. Very consistent grind due to it's automated system, also makes it easier for the idiot in the family to use.

    • +1

Same breville smart grinder pro. Upgraded from sunbeam, much better control and less mess

Anyone wanting the Dell 34" UltraSharp Curved monitor, comes down to $1095~

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Dell-Monitor-Ultrasharp-34-Cu…

    • I'm after a new monitor. What are the benefits of a Curved monitor?

      • +13

        $wag

      • Curved monitors are useful for:

        • Showing off and/or keeping up with the Joneses
        • Increasing the immersion by 5% for only $600 more than just buying a proper VR headset

Personally I'm not keen on either of those, but the first one is obviously the number one priority for Australian consumers when buying a TV, so…

    • Looks like a great monitor!

      34" 3440x1440 21:9, HDMI 2.0, etc.

      Review at tftcentral is comprehensive:
      http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u3415w.htm

Oh, and it looks like 3440x1440x60 Hz works fine with DisplayPort 1.1a, since it's just under the 8.64 GBps link speed.

Otherwise you'll need HDMI 2.0, or need to drop the frame rate slightly to 50Hz on HDMI 1.3 or HDMI 1.4.

    • That's a stunning monitor, totally want that. My mrs won't see things that way sadly.

    • Only if my laptop had a display port.. what a shame.

    and good laptop guys?

Dyson V6 from the goodguys for $399

Less 20% makes it $320 and you could claim the tool kit

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dyson-209468-01-V6-Handstick-NEW-…

    • damn…i wish i have waited for this….bought one 2 days ago to get the $50 store credit.
This would be $80 off….much better buy.

      • I was thinking about it too, something something price beat guarantee? (I'm unsure if they would do it)

TGG has a refund difference in price if someone else beats hem don't they? or if unused, return it?

        • If TGG don't accept this price diff then I will return my unopened v6 and place order via ebay

        • @foruz: Pretty sure they charge a restocking fee?

    • I'm trying to apply the code for this vacuum but I'm getting an error message. Anyone else having any issues?
Also is the tool kit claimed in store or would it be delivered with the vacuum?
EDIT: Nevermind, I just worked out sale starts tomorrow for general public.

    Any good mobile phone deals?

    • +4

not really, went through most of them, Kogans jacked the price up by a good margin

      • +1

Thanks scud, the G4 with Kogan would come down to $551.20 which isn't too bad (code doesn't work for me yet)

        • yup i agree, only one that caught my eye then again its from Kogan loll

        • @scud70:
This will be my the most expensive impulse buy so far this year. The G4 deal is looking solid if 20% off works tomorrow morning.

    • Grabbed a Lumia 635 for $128.38 from TGG, wanna try win 10 on it…

    • I bought the Galaxy Note 4 32gb white from TGG for about $675. Considering it has 2yrs Aussie warranty I'm pretty happy about that. There was only a $50 or so difference with Kogan. What I did forget to do was go via Cash Back Rewards so lost the chance to get another $15 or so back in my pocket :-(

  • +3
  • Just wondering if walking in a Good Guys store tomorrow, would they price match their 20% off ebay store price? I have a good guys gift card.

    • +4

no chance to match ebay price, tried before

      • +2

I've tried on a chest freezer. They matched (and beat by a token amount) a previous 20% off ebay deal.

        • +1

Good to know. Thanks. I may try my luck tomorrow.

        • @Saturday: pls check so I go and ask the diff for Dyson v6

        • @foruz: Hi, i tried today and failed. They said the sale was provided by ebay not Good guys, so they don't match it in stores :-(

        • @Saturday: Me too tried and failed same answer as you got..lose of $80… i always buy late but this time it seems i was early in my decision :(

      • Tried this today with a TV, flat out declined and said that they will never match eBay store as eBay reimburse good guys for the discount.

    • +3

doubt it, this is a sale by eBay i believe not the retailer. Although the retailers take advantage and jack the prices up.

  • anyone recommend a good blender?

    • +3

Nutri Ninja Bullet Nunchucks Throwing Stars Special Edition. Bees blended knees. Saw it on the TV.

Can also vacuum-up and extract all the nutritional goodies from bowling balls. Yes. About bloody time.

No listings on ebay that I can see. Yet! Still time. I'm checking again tomorrow.

      Hope that helps.

I am unfamiliar with any other blenders.

Just go with the best is my advice.
