    • Let us know if u do

  • Will I be able to get $300 off this??

Canon 5d Mark III from Teds:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Canon-EOS-5D-Mark-III-Body-/121706549419?hash=item1c564690ab

If so will I still be eligible for the further $300 cash back currently on offer from Canon?

    https://www.canon.com.au/en-AU/Personal/Products/Special-Offers/camera-cashback-2015

    IE: $3,499.95 + $9.95 postage - $300 (ebay discount) - $300 (canon cashback later) =
    $2909.9

I'm weighing this up against just buying from DWI without any discounts or cashback for $2699…

    • +4

id do this. Local stock and roughly the same price.

    • I doubt it.
Purchases made via ebay are not eligible for a Canon cashback.

      • +3

Why? It's still a purchase from Teds Cameras (an authorised canon dealer),not from some random grey market importer..

        • +1

Exactly, you could even just ask Teds to create an actual invoice for you so that you'll be eligible.

  • +4

Oh you clever Dickie … anything I want is conveniently out of stock

Well played good sir well played

  • -8

this is more marketing advertising than a real bargain. Prices were increased before the 20% promo

  • +1

Called Ted's online team and they told me that the discount doesn't apply on all items. God damnit

    • +7

The terms and conditions of the sale strongly suggest it should apply to all items for each of the participating stores?

      • I guess I'll try my luck tomorrow when it goes live! Thanks buddy

      • +1

Ted is having its own 20% sale not part of this I think!

It has a max of $500 disount per transaction.

        • Really?? I can only find references to the canon cashback on teds website.

        • @skinny:

Looks like the same 20% selected ebay stores to me and is capped at $300.
To annoy me they removed the camera that I wanted this morning (5D Mark III)…

        • +1

          @smarti77:

          and all lenses FFS

        • So I got 2 Sony lenses at about 10.10am this morning. Transaction went through and everything. Checked back on their eBay store in the afternoon to see they removed almost everything. I think I got lucky?

        • @nutsackjake: Could they have simply sold out? If they didn't want to sell it during the sale, surely they would have pulled it at 9am when their staff got in to work, or just the night before.

        • +1
        • @eug:

One of the lenses perhaps. It showed 3 in stock. The other, showed 50+ hard to tell.

  • +2

Any good TV deals? After something 48" or above.

  • Is "SanDisk SSD PLUS 120GB" for $62 delivered after discount a good price?

    • +4

Not really, for $6 extra you can go pick it up from MSY today for $68 with a free 32gig MicroSD card

      • +1

        But I don't really need a MicroSD card :(
(What do you usually do with these anyway? )

        • +3

You'll need it at some point or another, if you have an android phone you can use it to expand your memory, chuck it in your camera, or even buy a usb reader and use it as a 'usb stick'

MicroSDs are pretty much at the same level as Eneloops are around here, you can't have enough!

  • +2

We're currently having technical difficulties processing your code

Your voucher or redemption code wasn't applied

EDIT: nevermind. Did not see the different date for VIP. Goodness me, they're getting annoying.

    • +2

Yep - this code is targetted for the first 24 hour period. There will then, presumably, be another code for us non-vips starting tomorrow.

  • +1

    Any decent shavers?

  • +2

was looking to get a GTX980. Kogan $849 on their ebay site, $704.9 on their own site. hmmm. I can understand a little jackup, but raising by the discounted amount is ridiculous

    • +1

Email them and let them know you're aware of their little game during the 20% discount offers and you're gonna bad mouth them all over the internets.

  • Any garment steamer units?

  • +1
    • Normal price $37.00 at Umart online, although if you're not near a local store not too bad!

      http://www.umart.com.au/umart1/pro/Products-details.phtml?id… JR9-00012 XBox360 Wireless Controller Win USB

      • Jus found Kogan is cheaper @ 40.26 delivered - 2.5% cashrewards $1.26 = $39. So a good deal for ththose not living near a store that sell this.

Also found you can use Xbox One controllers on PC. Unfortunately they can't be used wirelessly. Only wired via micro USB cable.

  • +6

all these pre-emptive deals being posted now, spamming the front page.

tbh, i dont think they should be posted, you dont even know if thats going to 100% be the price tomorrow. We've been subjected to price increases before when deals like this go lives. its just spamming atm.

    • You can report them tomorrow if the prices change.

    • you have voted positive and +200 people, so why do you think is in the front page ;)

      • +4

I think they're referring to the individual product posts.

  • Was really hoping to pick up the new 65" Sony but it ain't listed!

    • Me too!

    • What model is it? :)

      • +1

        KDL65W850
Not on eBay store and price increased yesterday on good guys site from 2500 to 3000?!

  • ASUS 24" 144hz 1ms gaming monitor for $366 (free postage) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-24-1920x1080-16-9-LED-Monito…

cheapest would be pick-up at MSY for $429, so a saving of $63.

  • So when does the sale end? (if your not VIP)

    • It doesn't state it on the page as yet, however we were informed the sale will end 11:59PM 29 Aug.

      • +4

The VIP preview page includes a link to "see full terms and conditions", which goes to http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/treat20, and the sale end time/date is stated there.

        • So I guess the code could be CTREAT20 for tomorrow.

        • @unco: I'm guessing PLEBSTREAT20

  • +1

I wonder if eBay knows/cares that some stores raise prices when these promos come up

    • +7

      They know they don't care.

      • +2

they do, the higher the price more money they get

    • I wouldn't be surprised if they even recommend it to their sellers.

  • -2

Bought an ipad mini3 from Kogan. All up about $620 with no GST. I suspect Kogan jacked up their prices. Showed as $775 but cheaper from apple about $740.
That Ruslan is a good business man. If it arrives by Sep 14 as quoted by ebay, he'll get a positive rating, if not, it'll be negative. I ain't got time for things not to arrive when they say they will.

    • Yet u can wait till September 14

      • -1

I've cancelled. just relised Ruslan up to his old tricks of jacking up the price. I was on the fence to get it or not but pulling out due to the principal of it all.

  • Guess I am not a VIP…
but tomorrow I will be grabbing the Dyson DC54 Animal.
    currently 799 (down from 1000).
with code it will bring it down to 640.

  • +1

Stupid question, but how do we become a VIP?

    • +3

      randomly selected

      • VIP - by random - LOL. So much for both the 'very' and 'important' parts.

        • yep, I got the email and 'important' isn't how I describe myself :P

      • Don't be mean :(

    • Stupid question, but how do we become a VIP?

      If you have to ask….

Clearly ebay has parameters for VIP members and these would be based on things like length of tenure, monthly spend and so forth. I get the VIP emails on my account with a lot of purchases but another account that has been a member for over 15 years as well but is not very active does not get the VIP emails. My wife's account that has been a member for under a year and isn't all that active with purchasing didn't receive it either.

  • I5-6600k is $394 on ebay kogan but it's only $349 on Kogan site.. This is BS!

    • +1

      This is eBayS

  • +1

in need of a good vaccum cleaner either barrel or stick and budget under $300

Need it for carpet and wooden flooring, no pets, no allergies.

Need something that sucks of dust like it was never there. I want to stay away from those cheap ones that works well initially and starts loosing steam on regular use.

    Please suggest.

    • In the same market as you :), is Dyson really the only good brand out there?

      • -1

Dyson are amazing. Mine is 7 years old and still works like new.

        • +6

          Heard Miele is good too

    • Dyson DC 37 origin is what I'm looking at. Can be had from Good Guys for $399 so with eBay deal comes in at $320. Great price!

  • Just to confirm, is the $50 credit/voucher from the recent deal usable with this sale promo?

    • +1

      Read above. No.

  • Is there a way to commit to buy something today and apply the code and pay tomorrow?

    • +1

Previously people have added an item to the cart and it has retained the original price.

      • Adding the item wont lock the price, committing ie. purchasing but not yet paying is different.

    • Yes, purchase today, pay tomorrow

  • +3

I'm kind of offended eBay doesn't think I'm good enough to be a VIP customer!!

    • +5

You'll always be a Very Important Professional here.

  • +2

Any good TV deals for around the $1500 mark (after discount)?

    • Literally search "tv"
And then sort by price as you wish?

    • I've been looking - none that stand out compared with Jan 1st and our $ crash. The refurbs from grays after the 20% are about the same price as they were new for around the $1500 mark. Can get up to 60" for the price but you'll kick yourself if you do a search on ozbargain for what they were at the start of the year. Im going to hold out on this sale and hope for newer tech to push down prices over time.

      • You can gamble on the prices coming down, but our dollar sucks right now. I want a TV for my new place, so now seems to be a good time. The 55" Samsung at TGG is about $1332 (with the 20% + 2% off). Most likely will get that.

  • +2

Nice deal but annoyed with Masters Ebay store. Put a bunch of items in my cart but it would not allow me to C&C any of them at the local Masters store saying "No Masters store nearby stocks them" - however I went straight over the actual Masters site and every single item showed up as in stock and allowed me to purchase and C&C via the local Masters store. Ended up paying more…go figure.

  • Just got a Dysonc V6 from the other post. Thanks.

  • Is the Galaxy Tab S 8.4" 16GB 4G a good deal at $455? The last deal from DSE was during their TGIF sale which brought it down to $479.

  • +4

I was looking to use this to do my PC upgrade (skylake CPU, mobo, RAM and cooler), but the 2 stores with PC components (Futu and Kogan) have strangely inflated prices that are only ~$30 different WITH DISCOUNT from an $800+ spend to just buying the exact same parts locally from umart and getting an aussie warranty (Kogan's come from Hong Kong).

Very strange prices when grey imports are above local RRP…

    • That was the first thing I looked at

Kogan have had some killer deals with the last few 15% / 20% off deals but prices are crap this time (and shipping is glacial)

      • Some phones are good at Kogan though.

  • +1

I guess this is half decent … HTC One M9 @ Kogan, $578 after 20% off.
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HTC-One-M9-4G-LTE-32GB-Grey-/1717…

  • +2

I'll reserve my plus till I'm actually manage to buy one..have a feeling it's gonna get ozbargained big time

    • How do you reserve something - just put it in the cart?

      • What I actually meant is reserving my "upvote" lol..you can add to cart, but don't think it will hold the stock for you

        • +1

Ah ok, I thought you meant the 'plus' as in "Oneplus" phone.

  • +3

grr… Kogan increased the price for the Asus zenfone 2 (was $359 in June, $466 today -> still $363 with discount).
Which would you guys vote: Asus zenfone 2 or LG G Flex 2?
    Thanks :)

    • +5

Kogan changed the price 11 times between the 19th of June and the 20th of August. Kogan always changes their prices.

      • +2

Wow! I didn't know you could check item revisions like this. Thanks :)

        • +1

I'd get the Zenfone 2. Better value for $ since it's cheaper (uses an Intel Atom) and only a bit less powerful than the LG. Some of the software that Asus packs into it is interesting too.

You can get it cheaper from http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_170572.html I've bought stuff from these guys before, their shipping might be slow though.
