Odd, mine worked.
I'm with Commbank. Cannot get the payment to go through. Annoying.
Check to see if you have international payments allowed?
CBA have a bunch of safety stuff turned on by default (good) for credit cards.
I got the same thing. It will be your bank and not the seller.
Yeh 100%. It's really annoying when this happens. Oh well.
Same problem with my ANZ card
yea - this always happens with giftcard.com.au -
try 28degrees or coles mastercard.
heaps of cards get blocked for some reason
You still keep 28degrees? lol
@aec: Grandfathered price protection is still going, if they get rid of that though, I'm out.
@aec: yea grandfathered price protection + got 1 year refund on the monthly fee :)
@blehgg: How did you manage to get a refund for the monthly fees??
@bopter12: i messaged and complained
@blehgg: I messaged and asked why my friend got offered a year free and I didn't so they gave $96 as a good will gesture.
Worked for me, did require the OTP to authenticate the transaction.
Tried ANZ, Macquarie, Westpac and St George, all failed.
Worked with St George Visa card for me.
Have called up several banks, it's not being held up on their end, they're saying it's the Merchant.
My Westpac debit worked.
Macquarie Debit worked. Had to approve the transaction on my phone in the authenticator app.
The would be anti fraud rules being triggered. Lots of fraud e.g. stolen cc details used to buy gift cards. Rules can be very arbitrary. I've worked with them before
Did you use exactly the same details as your bank one when you filled in that purchase form? I encountered similiar issues before, the name I filled in was not idential to my bank account so they refused it, although I never had any issues elsewhere. Eventually contacted their customer service to sort it out.
Finally got my gift cards. Had to use my mums visa which worked fine. She is also with Commbank but, so no idea why the debit mastercard won't work but visa credit card does work.
Same for me. Tried a couple of credit cards. But I tried it yesterday, outside the stipulated timeframe.
Great deal! Thanks OP. Brought and successful.
Where did you bring them to? 😉
My Amazon wallet. Duh.
That makes cents. Cheers
@HamBoi69: Lol. 'brought' and 'cents'. You guys are so funny 🤣🤣🤣
This dad joke is always funny.
Tried with Coles MasterCard and didn't work :( Anyways purchased with credit card. Thanks OP. Great find.
Looks like CMC fraud detect is blocking payments. Starting to get sick of this happening.
It's very common with this website, to top it off, it might process with a CC but then the bank's decide to charge it as a cash advance for these guys… 🤬🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
you can always contact the bank and get them to change it or recompense for the charges. I had this happen a few years ago (I think for some restaurant choice cards direct through RC)….came up as a cash advance, which I didn't know. I complained and they gave me credit on the account to counteract the charges
@souths123: Thanks, tried it myself and the bank said no. Shame and name… It was Bankwest. Its only happens once as I no longer have the account. To the Customer Service Reps' credit they were very helpful and explained it all. Still had to pay the interest so actually paid more than if I didn't use a gift card. 😅
@Cousin IT: that's a shame, it is a pain when they process it as a cash advance, when it is just a gift card, esp when it is out of the blue and never been charged as that before….I can understand paying for betting etc, but a GC?? We have both BW and Westpac and I can't remember which one it happened on. I bought this one on BW and atm it isn't showing as a cash advance, just a purchase. Will check it again once it clears.
I don't have any issue. Do you have 2 FA on?
No problems with ColesMC.
Is this the credit card or gift card?
Credit card. I don't think you can pay for gift cards using other gift cards.
@soan papdi: You can pay for gift cards with Coles MasterCard gift cards but usually fails at this website
@sub102: I wasn't aware of that. Yogi555's message wasn't clear if first attempt was with gift cards. All good.
Sorry for confusion. I meant the gift card and not credit card. Later realised both are Coles group so that is the issue. Might work if you have something like Vanilla visa.
Stuck on payment details page for me
Edit: turned off Adblock and paid with Amex, all good
Had the same problem, turned off all adblock and it worked. thanks!
GC recieved within 2 min of order.
Can confirm.
Expiry ?
Amazon gcs don’t expire
This card has no expiry.
Been a while since 10% off, got $1000
Thanks OP. Got one.
Since when is 10% the standard?
Probs was referring to when CR do their usual $3 bonus Cashback on $30 spend
But that's still 10%??
@firestint: Wouldn’t say it’s standard though, and I most definitely wouldn’t tell people to skip the deal and wait for 20%
I've never seen a 20% sale for large amounts, best I recall was Aldi had 15% off physical cards
Aldi was 10%.
True, was a long time ago (2022!) I must have remembered wrong except that it was a great deal and they were a slight pain to find, must have been this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/735146
Thanks got it
Thanks OP, ordered $1000 worth!
Best deal of the day, thanks OP!
bought using AMEX (surprisingly it works!)
received giftcards in 10minsHi there
I use AMEX too however I didnt receive the gift cards. Could you pleases let me know which email address they use to send the gift card?
Thanks
Deal of the year! Bought $2500 worth!
Thanks OP. Probs worth adding need to use card that supports verification (OTP/app) so using Vanilla GC might not work.
verification (OTP/app)
3-D Secure Protocol.
None of the prepaid cards will work as they don't support 3DS.
Wow worked without payment failed for a change
Thanks Coles Group - fat profitsThanks OP. Received a tax invoice from Coles but still waiting for the GC 😄
Did you get yours?
1 hour later, no gc for me.Yes. Had to wait for like 5 mins after receiving the tax invoice email.
Just got $2500 worth. Thanks so much!
missed out on the woolies gc this morning, came home and found this offer instead, winning
There is no way this will last until 5PM.
Will be sold out in the next hour or so. :)
2 days later… still buying
I was totally wrong, and I should eat my words.
Dammit, too many ordering it seems. Transaction failed, CBA MC CC.
Spinning wheel of death on Payment Details screen
I experienced the same on Desktop browser. Ended up using mobile instead which seemed to play nicer.
Same on mobile for me unfortunately.
MacOS Safari - Spinning Wheel
iOS Safari - Spinning Wheel
Windows Chrome - Success! For me it's other way around, spinning on Chrome, success on Firefox (both Windows)
Used Citi cc, they do ask for OTP confirmation, but success on first go
Had this too. Browser was blocking some tracking things. Turned protection off for that page and then it worked.
Anyone buying a shit tonne…. just don't leave that balance sitting in your account because I've heard of people's accounts getting shut down randomly and they lose it all.
Are you suggesting to not load all of the gift cards into one’s Amazon account in one go, if for instance you buy 5x$500?
You have 3 years to redeem them. Why would you load them straight away? Just do it when you buy something.
Makes sense.
Only possible downside is that I might forget that I’ve bought them, when the time comes to buy, and they get lost in my email somewhere forever!
@erebos: +1000.
Anyways, don't make any difference whether you redeem it now or later, not that you can use it for anything else other than Amazon. I'd say better sooner than later.@erebos: Write down the code on a sticky note, and stick it on the toilet wall. Since you will spend a lot of time sit there anyway
You have 3 years to redeem them.
Says who?
The cards don't expire. So, you have unlimited time to redeem them unless you forget about them, and then that's your fault.
@DoctorCalculon: You're right. Turns out the previous gift card expiration has been removed. Amazon balance was always with no expiry.
"Amazon.com.au Balance Expiration.
Your Amazon.com.au Balance and Gift Cards do not expire, including those with a printed expiry period or those previously subject to an expiry period."@Vita85: Good that the expiry date is removed, if it's true. Hard to keep a track of expiry dates.
A hacked amazon account is less concerning than a hacked email account. If someone hacks your email and scrapes your gift vouchers they're gone permanently. With a hacked amazon account you have recourse to reverse orders made using your gift card balance. Therefore it is safer to redeem early.
Yes, take read online. Check Reddit and even Ozbargain.
Have you got a link to one of these posts/messages? I've been trying to find something but my Google-fu is not up to par today.

Yes, it's from the near future of my comment.
Are these gift card safe to store for a while?
Wasn't there some gift card had issue and getting hack before using?
Transaction failed, please contact customer service.
