  • Oh man, what a nightmare!

I tried using my Macquarie, ING and Up Bank debit cards on Firefox, Chrome and Edge mobile and desktop browsers (with adblock disabled and in private/incognito modes). I FINALLY had success using my ING debit card via Edge in private mode (desktop).

    • Up worked for me no problems

  • Spoke with customer service and they told me that because my bank returned a dishonour response (ANZ…after OTP!) that subsequent transactions (with other banks) were declined. Apparently have to lift the block on the original card before anything else will go through…otherwise…they suggested that I try again tomorrow…

for those who had payment failed, try using your mobile instead of your PC internet

    • NAB DEBIT worked for me. Chrome on phone.

  • Thanks op

  • stuck on loading payment page

    • Blame your bank, not the deal. Clearly your bank is not allowing this to go through.

      • what if you've tried multiple banks. At some point the blame must fall on the site? I've tried CBA, ING and NAB and all have failed. Tried different browsers too.

        • how about incognito, or mobile?

          • @sakurakiks: Ya. Different devices. Private browsing. Everything. Tried different email and different number. Nothing works.

I’ve had issues with the site for a long time. I was never able to purchase the prepaid Mastercards either

  • Just checking, using discounted cards wouldn't affect cashback schemes, right?

    • Generally you can't use gift cards as payment if also want to claim cashback.

      • +1

        for amazon you can.
its only promotional credit that will invalidate cashback. giftcards are no issue

      • Thats not true for amazon. Gift cards are fine. You cant use store credit which is different, you get that through refunds or amazon promos. Its mentioned in the cashback T&C’s.

        • Sweet thanks!

  • Thank you OP, snagged one to cover my Christmas shopping cart.

Failed on: Revolut, Zip, 28 degrees, Westpac, NAB, BOM…

    • Worked on revolut fine for me - just needed to authorise the transaction via the revolut app (which is an awesome way to ensure it isn't a fraudulent transaction).

  • The long queue to buy these gift cards without the physical queueing if you know what I mean.

  • do they do this every year? im trying to hold off to maybe next year to upgrade to iphone 17 (or even get the iphone 16 with black friday sale)

    • +1

Quick search shows they did a 10% in August last year but there was a $1000 per customer limit (not sur if there was a way around that e.g. different card)

  • Payment failed with VPN on for me, but order went through when VPN's turned off. AMEX / Mac / Safari.

  • Love it thx OP ANZ qantas card worked

  • +4

Thanks OP - Unless we get a 15% offf on GC that can be used at JB/Officeworks etc. this wins the nomination for my 'best GC deal of the year' so far!

  • Order successful, no card or invoice in email.

  • ANZ worked. Thanks OP! Now I'll get my qantas points easily :)

  • Thanks OP - order went through fine with Coles MC using chrome on phone and a VPN - it did do an extra verification and then they sent me a sms re gift card scams too.

  • Hey guys,

Can you still get cashback when paying with the giftcards?

    Thanks

  • I wonder if this is the same issue people are having at shopback.

Support said until the first occurrence of the error is resolved, any subsequent requests would fail. I asked if I could use a different email address, they told me it would have to be completely different details, including the card used.

  • Thanks. Worked with CBA. Had to use a different card for Ultimate Gift Cards in a similar deal last year?

    • Fair enough

    • +1

Shame that's the only thing Amazon sells

    • Purchased $1,500 just in case it goes on sale.

Who the hell down votes my above comment. Losers lol.

Anyway works with CBA CC after the 2nd sms verification process.

  • Bought $2.5k using Amex, worked without any problem. received the GC in around 5 minutes. Thanks OP.

  • +1

For those with failed transactions, here’s a treat:

    • Make sure to use a new and correct email address. For Gmail and Hotmail users, use the trick with the "+" sign.
    • Use a completely different address—it doesn’t matter since the gift cards are sent to your email. Just double-check the email address to avoid issues.
    • Try using a different card for payment.

I managed to place four orders and only had one failure. Hope this helps!

    • This worked for me using a different email, used Android mobile data chrome cognito ANZ black

  • Jsut spent $220 on woolies to get bonus points, now spending $500 here to save $50. are awesome

    Spending money is fun!

  • Thanks OP Great deal. 10% is not much with the prices of things these days but yet better than any amazon GC discount out there. And for me encountered the spinning wheel of death on the payment screen on Chrome but worked fine with Edge.

    • +2

Disabling ublock origin fixed this for me. I think for anyone else with this issue - try disabling your adblocker extension.

      Thanks for the deal OP

  • Home internet connection didn't work for any of my cards, changed to Chrome on my phone data and got approved right away.

  • +2

Thank you @VantageXL. Bought 2x $500, emails arrived in 15 minutes (junk folder), and already added to Amazon wallet. Ripper deal!

  • bought 2 x $500's, seemed to work, just waiting on delivery

(Received after a handful of minutes)

  • Did not work with CBA card and different browsers with vpn on or off. But then worked fine with Citi card with vpn off. Called CBA and they could not see payment attempts on their side.
