      It's not really a hassle. Took me one minute to save $50!
      I use Amazon frequently for odds and ends as needed (eg new charging cable) and will also likley do a lot of Christmas shopping through Amazon where I know exactly what I am getting folk.
      For me personally though I am after treating myself to a Meta Quest 3 (and from the comments here I think I am not alone in buying the discount gift cards for that). In Australia, Amazon is pretty much the only retailer supplying, other than Meta direct. It is uncertain whether there will be a Black Friday deal so at least this way we save something off a purchase that we were going to make anyway.

    Just spent almost an hour on the phone to ME to get my card temporarily unblocked for an hour, and now I can't get the site to trigger the OTP 😢

    Edit: Looks like what they actually did was disable OTP for the hour, because the minute the time was up, the OTP started working again and we're back to failing transactions. 🙄

        Relieved and annoyed at the same time.

    Just bought 3x $500 with st george visa debit in chrome incognito cus ad blocker must've been stopping the payment screen from loading up
    Had to do a OTP code for the transaction to proceed but all worked and got the 3 giftcards within a min or so from payment

      I am now cautious as Amazon has stuff up my latest purchase (either the courier stole it or its an honest mistake) and I have no recourse to chargeback as it is on gift card and not credit card. i.e. if Amazon agrees to refund it will still be back on a gift card with a large value that I have no other use.

        I don't understand. Amazon will always either refund back to original payment method or resend it to you if it's sold by them.

        If it's a third party seller you have the A-Z guarantee and will win. Had items stolen off my porch before and have always won even with evidence through tracking to show it was delivered.
