One way to look at this is, buy $1200 worth and the discount pays for one year of Prime membership.

    Dont give up - SOLVED

firstly, wheel of death at payment screen is probably caused by adblock or browser (eg Brave) this is your first hurdle

If you manage to enter card details and your banks OTP verification only to get "Transaction failed, please contact customer service." well this only happened on PC for me

What finally worked for me; purchased on a bankwest CC thru chrome on my mobile connected to mobile data (wifi off) - $2500 purchased successfully

I failed many times today on PC, 3 separate cards/banks, adblock off, chrome incognito etc. At one stage 2 of my cards were locked by the banks fraud teams.

    • +1

I used Brave browser, got infinity circle of death.
I used safari on my phone, it works perfectly.

  • +3

Just received gift cards 1:50h after ordering. So nobody panic - there's just a delay.

    • +1

      Thanks for this re-assurance.

I just got my gift card, and worried for a moment, when nothing came through to the Email account.

  • Tried everything (different browsers, removing all extensions/firewalls/tracking, different devices, wifi/mobile) before calling bankwest. On hold for 20+mins, they then confirmed there's a merchant block on giftcards.com.au which they then removed.

even then it still didn't work in desktop chrome or mobile safari.. tried one last time in desktop edge with tracking prevention turned off, no extensions and it finally worked.

  • Transaction failing for me with cba cc using Mobile phone data on Chrome & Edge, Windows Chrome and Windows Edge!!!

    • CBA probably blocked it, do a chat with them or call them or use a different one.

Disable any Adblocking you have too as that is the problem for many of the people here

    • +2

Same, tried Chrome, Edge, Firefox on PC. Also tried Chrome, Firefox on mobile.
None work, also tried a 2nd card in a different name.
Both CBA cards, 2 different names, neither worked on any device or browser. LOL

Have done 4x 30min phone calls, 2x to the giftcard site and 2x to the bank, both blame each other.

      Epic fail.

      Edit,
Called both again one more time, bank says no issues no blocks on either card, not even a payment request on either, giftcard site says "its bank issue, we have no issue with our customers purchasing, bye"
Looks to me that its the giftcard sites issue going by the comments with so many having the same problem.

      • Same experience

Test $100, I just found it works, on a $100 buying spree, discount still working for now even though past 5pm LOL

@ozmma: Mine is only $100 at a time! its a nightmare, Ive done about $1,500 so far :D

              • @Bohlen: I have done 2500 and haven't got a single confirmation email yet.

                • @ozmma: Im still going flat out before they stop the deal, $100 per order is all it allows :( , any more then that the verification wont render, And as I go I am being flooded with confirmation and giftcard emails, got over 15 emails so far :0 lol

                  • @Bohlen: I just got bombarded with emails, all within a short time.

                    • @ozmma: I'm done now, I did the $2,500 at 1x$100 order intervals :S

Now being flooded with emails, have over 22 already :0

Pain in the ass it didnt just let me do 5x$500 !

Oh well, its done now. Time to buy a 3d printer :)

                      GG

                      • +1

@Bohlen: I'm having to do the same with 1x$100 per transaction. I'm tired boss.

  • +2

Can’t help myself from ordering another $500. Paid with HSBC credit card, no issue!

  • Was finally able to buy 5x $100 with CBA on phone 5g, not wifi. What an effort that was!

  • Paid with ING no issues. Also called their customer service and was told that would receive the gift card within a maximum 4 hours due to the high volume

  • +2

still no GC in email , ordered more than 1hr ago.

    • +1

      same

    • Have you tried panicking?

  • +1

The payment portal won't even load for me.. at least I don't have to deal with the blocked payment issues.

    • That's because you likely have an ad blocker turned on

  • +3

Nice 10% extra saving for BF coming up.

BUT, my enthusiasm in locking away stacks of good cash in encumbered GCs with Amazon is somewhat lessened of late since Amazon threatened to close my account and invalidate any gift card balance with it.
Story: Amazon customer since 2003. Many, many orders since. Then ordered 2x 3-packs of reciprocating saw blades in 09-2024 from Amazon.com via Amazon.com.au. Order value $60USD. Only one pack arrived in the package. Shipping weight shows only one pack was ever send. First ever complaint raised and money quickly refunded. Then five days later an email from [email protected] titled 'Notice: Policy Warning' excerpts: 'We noticed that you have requested refunds or replacements for a large number of orders because you reported that you did not receive your package…If this problem continues, we may not allow you to buy or sell on our site. If your account is closed, any unused gift card balance will no longer be available.'
All replies and requests for talking to a human were only ever handled by an electronic CSR.

    • +3

I had this too. Happened on more than one occasion. When I emailed through they folded everytime saying that it was sent in error 😂

    • +1

ACL would like to have a word with Amazon if they tried this too. They would fold pretty quickly without some hard evidence of fraud

  • Thanks
ordered with CBA, and received the GC in 5 minutes.

    • When did you order? Almost at 2 hours now for me lol

      • +1

Yea, I see some comments unable to pay with CBA, and some other that receive GC after few hrs. Guess its my lucky day.
ordered on 03:16pm for single $500

        • +1

Nice one. Mine just came through too!

  • I know it would be slow, still waiting for the card come to the inbox

  • +1

No combination of browser, device, network can get my NAB card to work, but HSBC goes right through… Go figure

    • Had to disable my adblock or the 2FA for NAB wouldn't load.

      • I've tried on Safari, Chrome, Edge, 2 laptops, 1 iPad, I android phone… Disabled all ad blocks and firewalls etc, it only happened with NAB, which is where I want the spend for bonus points haha

  • Failed. WBC MC

    • Use your mobile phone data, turn off wifi.

  • Just realized I didn't receive the invoice for the purchase, only gift card came through, is this norm
    or just me?

    • +1

I got an invoice from Coles hours later

    • my invoice came over 7hrs after I received the gift cards!

  • Suncorp VISA + Edge Browser worked first time.

Invoice and cards received in under 60 mins

    • Took 2 hours for me, you'll be fine

  • So glad i never got around to cancelling 28 Degrees card, nothing else I had worked but that did thankfully.

  • Read all the T&Cs and comments but before I hit buy …
Will this work purchasing iPhones and airpods???

    • +1

If via Amazon.com.au = yes, will work

  • Still waiting after 1 hour, called up and was advised of up to a 4 hour wait given the number of GC's purchased.

    • Took 2 hours for me. you'll be fine.

  • Worked with a crypto.com visa card AND was eligible for cashback (3.5% in my case).

    Absolute bargain.

  • update, got mine after 3 hours!

  • after 2 hours, no confirmation, no giftcards

  • Ordered at 2:34pm, received 4:26pm. Great deal.

  • Just purchased using HSBC. Went through ok but still waiting for gift card to arrive in my email. Did not receive any tax confirmation?

  • Pretty sure all the orders are just stuck in a "queue" and the server is slowly processing them all. slowly but surely

  • Ordered at 3:15pm, received just now at 4:50pm. CBA Visa card. Chrome on Windows 10 desktop, ad blockers disabled.

Tax invoice email came through 4 mins after gift card.

  • -7

Tried at least 20 times with 3 different cards, adblocks disabled always transaction failed

    • +2

Try mobile phone, data (no wifi)

      • It worked at the first try lol. I wonder why?

        • Glad you finally got it working

    • Had the same issue. Supposedly blocked on the website but customer service were utterly useless and just blaming the bank.

  • Ordered successfully - my CC was charged, I got an order number from giftcards.com.au, but no email as promised and no GC yet. Email addressed confirmed and correct on the final order confirmation screen. Perhaps their system is very busy. Slightly concerned given the amount ordered.

    • +1

You'll be fine. Took 2 hrs for me.

      • +2

Yup, mines like 1 hr 45mins received all 5x cards.

    • +1

Yes you can still add to cart.

      5:20pm AEDT

The 10% discount is still available.

  • Took an hour, but got it with a good $$$$

  • still going, but can't use WESTPAC CC

    • Westpac card worked fine first try for me. Westpac's protection system is embedded into giftcards.com.au and it verified an OTP Westpac sent to my mobile to confirm the transaction.

  • +2

Tried iPhone, iPad, M4 Mac (using chrome), turned off ad blockers - all using CBA. No joy. Including two chats with people at CBA, which ended in a "sorry we can't help". Wife came home and I used her new ING CC ==> all good. Emails took at least a couple of hours but all good (spot the OZBer!)

  • I'm able to place 2 orders today. First order was for 1x $500 and the second orders was for 3x $500. I have received the first order in about 2 mins after payment. The second order took about an hour. I have loaded all 4x cards into my Amazon account. Not sure if anyone is testing the limits of the number of orders that can be placed but I can confirm that I have done two orders on the same email and same credit card. I now have $2000 in gift card credit on my Amazon account. Thanks OP!

    • Not sure if anyone is testing the limits of the number of orders that can be placed but I can confirm that I have done two orders on the same email and same credit card

      The GiftCards website says:

Maximum order value $2,500. One order per customer per day.

I guess you're still under the $2.5K threshold, and you are the "same customer", but you did make 2 orders, so I think it's 1 x $2500 maximum per order per customer per day.

      • +1

It does seem that way… technically, I did clearly place 2x orders. After having regretted to of only purchased the 1x $500 earlier.

  • How often amazon gc 10% off? Never been more than 10pct off right?

    • +2

very very very rarely unless you count $3-bonus-on-$30-spend cashback deals as 10% off.

    • unless I missed a major sale, last one I've been keeping track of was Nov 2022 at ALDI, 10% off, but stock got hard to find and was limited to 5 x $100s per transaction

  • Tried Commbank NAB ANZ none of them worked for me

  • received GC after 2 hours, thanks OP

    5:00pm — Ordered
5:30pm — Received in Email account
    5:31pm — Redeemed !

    • how do i rdeem it. the email is just taxinvoice

      • +1

You should have received an Email with Subject:
" You have been sent an eGift Card "

There you will see a link / button that says:
        " View eGift Card "

This will take you to another website, which will have the code (separated by hyphens).

You enter this code (without the hyphens) into Amazon's gift card page where it says:
        " Add A Gift Card "

  • Bought $200 using CBA had no issue. Took like 20 mins to receieve the email

  • +2

Ordered 8 seconds ago. Still haven't got mine. 😕

  • About 5.5 hours here, no emails received at all. Card charged.

  • Ordered 3x $500 cards at 4:25pm with ANZ, received 5:15 pm in junk mail

  • That website is a nightmare, dont know why its so hard to process the payment.
