    Unfortunately our privacy isn't safe from any commercial "smart home" services. Which really does suck, because you can't deny they're convenient.
    But everyone needs to be aware that almost anything that has a "cloud" service, or a smart device that connects to a vendor's app, is sending varying amounts of data back to company servers. Hoarding that precious monetisable market data.
    The line where our privacy ends, and where tech companies operate, is eroding. Who is going to stop them… governments? Who also want a share of the data?

    Absolutely love the three 2nd genners we've had for years.

    Buuuut, they were in the $35 sale, and for 35, pretty sweet. For $100? I don't know, I think there's too many comparable products these days. But price aside, they're awesome little things.

  Gee I hope it is better than the super buggy Gen 2.

  • Never dims at night - for some reason you have to manually change it even though on auto. And then during the night you can't read it either.
  • Fades to black randomly
  • Most laggy interface ever
  • Random other weird stuff.

  And I have had it replaced 3 times!

      nah got a Gen 2. If you look at the difference between Gen 2 and Gen 3, imo it wasn't worth paying the extra $131.
