No issues my self
but if you want to let this deal slide i been told by a EB games Rep
x-mass bundles are going to be big this year
Nice tip OP. Thanks, A few posters have mentioned EB's xmas sale on here. Sounds like there's a price war a'brewin. :)
Hopefully it's not just marketing hype as EB store reps normally don't get visibility of what's on the horizon.
was going to buy a xbone last week and they (EB staff) told me to hold off for a bit.
also have a few mates at JB and they said good bundles come out around x-mass but not necessarily cheaper.
Isn't it a little early to be holding off for Xmas bundles? Surely Xmas bundles don't come out till ~November which is over 2 months away.
That's really nice of them to share information like this. Some of the EB games staff are incredibly nice and helpful. As a side note, I have noticed groups of teenage boys trading in their xbones (3 of them on both occasions) for ps4's. An EB staff member also mentioned that she traded in her xbone for a ps4 after a month and enjoys her ps4 much more. It's been a week since I have had my xbone and find it really good but thought it was interesting to hear so many people trading their xboxes for ps4's.
got the PS4 to play kingdom hearts and any new final fantasy
i did play destiny for a bit but the DLC cost bugged me so i sold the game
PS4 its self a great console but over all, but i have more fun on the wiiu
I traded my xbox one in to play with friends.
Destiny has more content… thats about it. You cant tell any difference between graphics at all.
Personally I think the xbox one has the better exclusives - there is no racing game rivaling forza or forza horizon on the ps4 and personally i prefer games like halo, sunset overdrive, gears and etc, over like… The ps4 has bloodborne, the last of us - neither of which I have really been able to get into though, i've played most of the last of us, but like I think I prefered alan wake.
So yeah, chances are by christmas I will own both a ps4 and an xbox one.
My advice… get whatever one most of your friends have - if most dont have any, get whatever one you prefer the exclusives on.
This is how I feel about PS4.
I got my PS4 for my bday from my friends and play with them but I can't help but miss all those exclusives on the XB1 (360 gamer here). I will wait till Christmas to snag a good deal hopefully!
Might get one for Rise of the Tomb Raider.
So total cost is $363.47 after eBay 20% + CR 2.5% off?
That's a real fun fact, but that game is going to release on 360 as well. So, implying you don't have a 360 already, buying an entire console for it is straight up silly when you can play it regardless.
@FrankMcFuzz:
I mean, your going to be able to play future games that arnt on the 360 though as well.
I dont think you will be able to get many new games for a 360 in 2016.
@RI4V4N: But by that point it will be cheaper, bundles will be better, a new edition of the console may be released. It's worth buying one game on an older console (Which will be $10 cheaper on release anyway (used to be, but looks like they're pricing current-gen the same as next-gen now) when you're likely to make a huge saving on the console itself when some actual exclusives come out for it. The game will be identical in all ways but graphics; the least important way in which a game presents itself.
Some of the EB games staff are incredibly nice and helpful.
I've found exactly the same thing. IME they often tend to be quite knowledgeable too, as they're often gamers themselves!
FWIW, despite this being a great price, I'm gonna hold off in hopes of a decent Halo MCC + Halo5: Guardians + whatever bundle nearer to Xmas! ;)
pew pew pew…
Whatever you get is going to end up gathering dust after the second week anyway.
I actually think that the next generation consoles are a plot hatched by a dust-based supervillian, that collects all the dust from handed-in consoles in order to create some kind of dusty demise for humankind. Dust-based annihilation is upon us, people. Don't give in to the Dustomancer!
Well a lot of people did get them for Dustiny.
Ive got both, and have no preference as they both offer unique games.
The price dropped to $469 so it's only $375.20 delivered now. Get in quick!!
Plus cashback :)
Cool thanks for the update
I've had PS1, Ps2 and PS3 (still used a lot, mainly as a media server).
I'm not that interested in PS4, and would like to get an Xbox One for these reasons:
- will soon have backward compatibility
- will soon be able to connect with PC gamers
- the VR will be more open as they are licencing at least two VR techs (inc Oculus iirc).
- Forza.
Agree!
The XBox One has been out almost 2 years and they announced the backwards compatibility thing 2 months ago. If this was something they could have done easily they would have done it already. It's going to be extremely limited when it finally arrives.
I'm also willing to bet there'll be a lot of whinging at how they implement sharing the game servers with PC and it too will be extremely limited.
VR has been on the horizon for a while. Current estimates are Feb-Mar 2016 for initial release and, you guessed it, I'm predicting it'll be extremely limited in what it works with and what it's useful for.
Forza is fine.
I'm not saying "don't buy this deal" but I am advising "don't assume future features will be amazing".
Regarding the backwards compatibility. I'm on the Preview program, and so already have access to this feature.
It's amazing. I don't see it as limiting at all. The games run as if they are on an Xbox 360… there doesn't seem to be any restrictions whatsoever, and even DLC is fully supported.
It really is an astounding technical accomplishment.
Xbox has really turned a corner in the last 12 months.
The Preview program has a pretty limited list. There's over 1,000 titles for X360 and the preview list has 21 games on it and a few of those games are mini Indie titles that you can get for a buck on Steam if you have a PC with even very limited specs. That sounds extremely limited to me.
Will streaming to W10 support X360 games?
My comment was more from a technical perspective. Microsoft have said that the only requirement for Backwards Compatibility is for the publisher to agree to it, with the focus on those titles voted by the community. We should see a large number of backwards compatibility titles.
Yes. Backwards Compatibility titles support streaming to Windows 10.
@guidedlight: If no work had to be done to make backward compatibility work then they'd just make everything work.
I'm sure a lot of the big titles will be compatible eventually. But I wouldn't be buying it assuming my own titles will work on it within 6 months or even a year.
Backward compatibility is a software tweak correct? Can you run it on current batch of xbox? You're saying VR comes with new version of Xbox one too?
Cheers, just picked one up! Great price :)
Should i buy the 1TB version one instead? It come with new controller with head phone jack correct?
Great price, wonder if a PS4 Uncharted bundle is coming this November?
Hmmm to get this or the Xbox One 1TB Halo 5 limited edition console for $554…..? Or even the PS4 Battlefront Limited edition console for the same price..?
What should I do..?!
Do you want to play Halo? If so - get the Xbox.
Hi folks, does anybody know how these will be sent out, eg Oz Post or Courier? Could I get it sent to a Parcel Locker?
Cheers
