CG-NAT works fine for most users. CG-NAT can break remote access to some home security cameras, some home automation products, Plex server, NAS, servers or if you want to host online P2P games. When you turn off CG-NAT you will be able to use remote access and host online P2P games again. Leave CG-NAT turned on if you don't do any of this.

If your home security cameras and automation products use a cloud server you will not be affected by CG-NAT.

You can get Carrier Grade NAT turned off for free if needed. Call up Superloop support or use the Superloop online chat on the Superloop website (red and black icon, bottom right).

$5/month is for a static IP address.

Carrier Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT)
Where CGNAT is available, your IP address will default to using CGNAT, unless you specifically request to opt out of CGNAT, which may be approved by Superloop in its discretion. When opting out of CGNAT, a dynamic public IP address will be assigned to the service, however, you may request a static public IP address (at additional cost).

Static IP
A single Static IP address is available upon request for the additional monthly fee on all residential Superloop nbn plans.
Static IP $5 (inc. GST)

Cancelling Your Plan
You can cancel your Superloop nbn Home Broadband Service at any time by giving Superloop 30 days' notice.

Credit Card Surcharge
Services that are paid by Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) incur a 1.0% transaction fee. You can pay by Direct Debit from your bank to avoid these fees.

Not all devices are capable of Gigabit speeds. You can get about 900-950Mbps through wired ethernet and it's possible to get 400-800Mbps download over Wi-Fi 5 from the Telstra smart modem gen 2.

What is the model of the USB or PCI-E Wi-Fi card in your PC?

      • it's possible to get 400-800Mbps download over Wi-Fi 5

Spent a day just to speed test. Got close to gigabit through wire only to the main node if you have mesh wifi or stay as close to get ~800 through wifi. The further away the lower speed, not making the most out of this gigabit plan. My bedroom only got 100 and hit 400 after I lifted all the routers higher. I'm going to buy a stand for each of them. Or I'll get 2gb or higher routers that can keep the min gigabit from a further distance. Eyeing on this.

      • It's an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHZ

  • Thanks @jd69xd
Signed up and 1 lucky ozbargainer referral used ^_^

    • Can you use Top cashback & referral code together?

      • +1

I used a referral code and Top Cashback. TCB hasn't tracked yet. Hoping it does.

      • +1

        Yes, tracked, no issues.

  • Are their offices open today? If so, what are the times? I want to sign up, but don't want my current service cancelled. I want SL activated on a different port.

    • Looking at their website as I just did the swap now.

  • Been with Superloop for a few years now, 100/20 plan.

4 of us, all heavy users with phones and laptops , plus 3 TVs run online, no antenna. I also WFH most days, teams meetings, lots of system access etc.

Excellent service, very happy with it.

I moved to superloop from optus since 1 year. Love superloop. No issues at all and top speed every night. For myself the 1000/40 plan

  • We're moving home and I thought we use these discounts. When I apply the code, it says promo code invalid.

Is it because the connection type says "opticomm" ? Is opticomm good or bad? Anyone have any insights. It appears I don't have a choice now and the connection technology is opticomm, can't change it.

    • can't change it.

They run the infrastructure network so yeah you can't change it lol… Depending on the area you're limited to the retailers that support it for that particular area.

  • How long did it take for top cashback to track? I joined on Friday, but no tracking on TCB, although the click through has been recorded.

  • +1

Switched over from More as i was out of yello coders for discounts. But anyway, the main difference is they're using direct IP compared to pppoe.

  • Thanks OP… submitted an order for end of month activation. TopCashBack tracked with in 5 mins… hoping for a smooth transition from my existing provider which is tangerine.

  • Just ordered the 100/40, nice doubling of speed for $7 less than I was paying at Leaptel (granted I'd come off the promotional pricing). Definitely no complaints about Leaptel though, service has been great, good routing.

Ordered ASAP, and within the hour they'd activated the service. Cashback tracked too. Pretty smooth.

  • Woke up and this had been changed over and working perfectly. Easiest decision ever!

  • For those who had to send in a proof of residence, can we blank out our partner's names since it's just asking for mine?

    • Want to know this too. Did you send a proof of residence with both names or just one of you?

      • Lol all the utility bills are in my name as he doesn't want the emails, so I just sent them an insurance one which did have my name alao. They clearly know what I'm trying to do anyway since they seem to just be asking the ones with an existing service.

Edit : meant to be other way around in my comment. Existing acc under my name but signed up for this deal under his

        • I am doing the same. Cancelled the service with 30 days notice and signed up using my wife's email from 7th Jan and she received POR email today. All the bills and utilities are under mine or have both names on them. 😄

Did you hear anything back from them? Thanks.

          • @Username Taken: Uhh wtf I sent it to them yesterday, I set my start date to like 27-28 Dec as my existing ends at 31st.

Got a text just then saying my service is activated. Checked my existing and there's nothing when i log in so they used the same port. Now I'm annoyed AF as I just paid $90 at the start of the month so $60 is wasted

  • I have asked for activation tomorrow but I haven't got any email post the order date 5/12. Is this normal or should I contact them?
Superhub stuck at status - we have received your order since 5/12.

  • I was with More internet and signed up a week ago for this to activate today 15th Dec. Superloop debited $1 on the 10th of Dec. Woke up and had the text/email it was active. Just had to log into my router to change a setting (also had to add back in my DNS settings) and all up and running. Speed is the similar, according to Ookla Speed test 942.89/46.91. I called More earlier in the week to ensure they cancel my plan as of the 17th so I don't get billed by them again on the 18th. I was on a deal with More for $94.50 a month but only had a few months to go before deal was over and price was to go up. This for $89 a month for a year plus the Top Cash $105 tracking was a awesome deal.

  • Reckon we will get one for Boxing day or very unlikely?
