The next AliExpress sale is kicking off August 19 at 5pm AEST and this time we have a set of OzBargain exclusive coupon codes (as well as regular codes) with a much better discount than previous deals. These codes should apply on pretty much anything, as long as the minimum spend is met and your AliExpress currency is set to AUD.

As usual the coupons have a limited number of redemptions with the larger discounts often going first. Now is a good time to get your cart loaded and ready.

If you want to be notified of future AliExpress coupon deals you can subscribe to the "AliExpress Sale" tag here.

Important: Coupons are 1 per account, do not stack with the new user 'Welcome Deal", "Daily Deals (Super Deals)" and minimum spend excludes GST and shipping.

I'm able to organise some group buys for bigger discounts + faster shipping on popular products in the near future. I'm open to suggestions :)

Viofo dashcams please! With the starvis 2 sensors and the dual front and back cams

      • I second this.

      • +2

What models specifically? Something like the A229 Pro. A139 Pro and A119 V3?

        • +4

229 Pro dual, around the $200 mark would be sweet!

139 Pro dual should be good also.

i don't think 119 V3 has dual, not sure though.

          • +3

@starbearer: I'm holding out for a good deal on 229 Pro dual as well!

        • Any of the viofo duals would suit me

      • is this the best bang for buck dash cam on the market atm?

      • i'm interested as well, let me know

      • Interested in the dashcam where will this group buy be posted?

        • +1

          Ozbargain.com.au is my bet lmao

          • @Ironic fear: yeah in the forums or as a 'deal'? I haven't seen group buys posted as a deal before.

        • I’m keen. Can anyone please redirect me?

          • @Dunky: @Clear no chance by tonight to take advantage of the upsized cashback?

            • @CVonC: Nah this is a plan for next month.

7800X3D for $200 would be awesome

    • +1

      40xxv maybe
Still don’t know how I feel about the rgb nipple tho

      • +8

Come on RGB makes everything go faster. It's why I put the lightstrips under my bed.

      • +1

        Another day, another Anbernic Device.

Apparently there's also a Cube XX coming too.

        • cube xx

Gotta keep the sbc economy going

        • +2

I'm personally waiting for the RG40XXSP

Seriously an RG40 or similar with a fold out screen would be awesome for DS games.

          • @Clear: Wow! Need this one

          • @Clear: Are you aware of any good sellers/deals on the cube? Or too new?

    • Formovie S5 projector and some other similar shaped compact/portable projectors such as various Dangbei have been getting a fair few posts recently?

    • I'm in!!!

    • +5

2TB M.2 2230 for Steam Deck (eg. WD SN740) would be great!

      • +1

+1 on this, I need one soon.

      • Definitely this!

      • Got 2 of these now. Don't mind another 2TB. With the recent prices this would be a decent price even for a laptop I guess.

      • +1 for this one, been circling around one for ages but need that ozbargain edge.

    • +3

Desktop audio gear like USB DAC's and headphone/power amplifiers would be awesome - particularly in the range of SMSL, Topping and FIIO?

    • +1

I’m sure if you could swing a deal on the Streel Dive SD1970 watch there’d be quite a few interested parties!

      • A discount on the Steel Dive SD1970 would be great in that regard.

    • A deal on 16-18inch portable monitors would be nice.

    • GPD winnax2 2024 64gb pls

    • Orange pi zero 3!

      • I was disappointed in the orange pi zero 2w, it’s a pity they didn’t just build it as a faster raspberry pi with usb-c. Raspberry much easier to setup headless, and has many more software options

    • Any deals on 18" 2.5K 144Hz portable monitors? These larger 1440p or 1600p portable gaming displays are still relatively expensive locally (the cheapest I've seen is around AUD $320), so I'd be keen to see a deal that beats this.

    • My suggestion would be the Steel Dive SD1970 (automatic watch) for the 11.11 sale.

  • nice

  • Any chance for a bigger discount for a bigger purchase still?

    • +1

The only way to save more would be the seller coupons (if any), the AliExpress coins discount (normally 2%) and of course cashback (if eligible).

    • If you have coins, look in the coin section of the app. It’s got a search field, and sometimes you can get very big discounts, like 70% off with coins. Note, you’ve got to buy here, if you add to cart you’ll only get 2% discount. You can stack coupons with coins

  • What's the equivalent in usd?

  • +1

    Darn, 2 hours too late

  • Wonder this will also apply for the whole set of carbon fibre faux trim inserts?

  • Any suggestions for an ultrasonic cleaner, or should I source from a different site? Thinking of grabbing one for cleaning glasses and washing gunpla parts. (Preferably one with removable basket/water chamber)

    • +1

My Vevor ultrasonic works great for bike parts, they have smaller ones too

Hoping there's a reolink sale when this happens!

    • Any particular Reolink cameras you're after?

      • +1

any of the turrets:) 820A or above :)

Looking for an E1 Outdoor and Duo Floodlight, all PoE. Could be flexible on models though if the price is right ;) Also interested in the new Duo 2V but it seems like it's not in stock yet.

      • Got my eye on a Reolink E1 Zoom. Should have grabbed one a while back when could have gotten it $80 delivered. Closest I've seen lately is mid 90s.

  • Never have any luck with these codes but will try again given all the upvotes…

    • +1

I got 75 AUD off from this promo here and bought a Lenovo tablet. You'll just have to try different codes or wait a couple of hours before trying again. Try using the app to order instead. I have had trouble adding the codes when browsing with PC.

    Anyone done any comparisons lately?

How's the prices between AE and Temu?

    • +1

      TEMU got rekt by AE.

  • Good timing. Bought an HKS CAMP car fish tank/aquarium from Yahoo! Japan Auctions and need a little display screen.

  • +2

omg, don't temp me, Voron 0.2 and ERCF

    • How much would that cost all up?

  • Ali express don’t honour refund

  • My sons bday is in a month and I would appreciate some good tablet deals around the $250 mark.

  • Just bought a 5700x3d yesterday. :)

    • What listing did you buy from?
I've been waiting for a good price for the 5800x3d but think I will probably just stick with the 5800x3d.

      • Here, https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006536319491.html?spm=a2…
I paid in local currency because I didn't know usd was cheaper, I contacted them to get the difference refunded, so hopefully they get back to me.

        • USD works out at $217 vs $224, it's only cheaper if you get the lowest rate when your bank does the transaction.

Where are you seeing it cheaper? I've got lots from Aliexpress but never in USD

          • @thedean: I'm in New Zealand, so I found out paying in NZD was $15 more expensive.

            • @DonkeyFromShrek: Indeed I'm seeing about an A$10-15 discrepancy between the PayPal exchange rate and AliExpress' own AUD conversion when shopping for a Ryzen 7700. Frustrating.

              • @Extremophile: PayPal exchange rate ?

When you buy in USD, your PayPal payment should also be in USD.
Leave the currency conversion up to your no-international-fee credit card for the cheapest price.

                • @Nom: Yes I know, but just for checking you can use the exchange calculator in the PayPal wallet…

                  • @Extremophile: Paying with a normal commbank debit card, I guess I have no choice but get stung with higher Paypal/Commbank exchange rate isnt?

                    • +1

@coolstan: Don't use your CommBank debit card online - when it inevitably gets compromised, then you're going to lose the contents of your bank account, and it can take some time to resolve.

It's much less hassle to stick to Credit Cards for online transactions - that way when someone uses your card details, it's the bank's money they're taking instead of your money.

There are plenty of no-international-fee cards on the market.

  • Boderry Sea Turtle here we go :D

  • Beautiful
Time to buy some nasty junk.

  • Speaking about big purchases, anyone bought anything greater than $1000 recently? They remove GST from it, theoretically govt should charge you GST via DHL. In practice, does this happen every time or not?

    • What are you talking about, who removed GST?

      • Overseas stores don't collect GST for orders over $1000 AUD. Instead when it arrives in Australia you should get charged GST + an import fee from customs.

        • Does this happen though?

        • Thanks. Is that a recent change?

          • +1

@BigBirdy: Nope been around for decades.

            • @Clear: Got you, the same old rules since John Howard.

Speaking of which, someone mention AliExpress was going to fix their often dodgy gst calculation

              • +2

@BigBirdy: That was me. It's one of their goals for August.

  • Before I get my hopes up, can you confirm whether these will work on "Big Save" items please?

    • We won't know until the sale starts.
