The next AliExpress Choice sale is kicking off on the August 1 at 5:00pm AEST and this time I have some OzBargain exclusive coupon codes. These coupon codes have a different minimum spend depending on what your AliExpress currency is set to (USD or AUD). I still recommend paying in USD (follow the guide at the bottom of this post) to get the best price.

The sale ends August 5 6 at 5pm AEST, however the coupons (especially high value codes) may be exhausted before then.

Choice Products are shipped directly from the AliExpress warehouse and typically arrive within 2 weeks. If the delivery exceeds 14 business days you're able to claim a coupon and if it's not delivered a full refund after 30 days. Most of my recent Choice orders have arrived within 7 business days.

Coupons are 1 per account, do not stack with the new user 'Welcome Offer', "Limited Deals" and minimum spend excludes GST and shipping.

How to get the AU$ price in the title with PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

    Thanks Clear!

Thanks clear, lets hope these coupons can be claimed at checkout. it’s been really annoying lately when you go to use generic codes only for an error saying it’s already claimed, or they always say restocking

    • +3

Get your cart ready and loaded for the start of the sale. The US$369 code won't last long.

  • let's keep an eye on this Lenovo XiaoXin Pad Pro 12.7 Inch Tablet

    • +1

Look for another, there's another china rom one for $220.

The new 2025 model is around $300usd

      • If its cheaper, you are better off buying 2024 model. Not many differences I guess. I could be wrong.

      • There’s a 2025 model?!? Also requesting a link

        • I searched it on Ali Express and found this one but its showing USD 230 before taxes for 8G 128 GB

          • @smiles: Price now increased to $310usd

        • Search xiaoxin pad pro 2025

        • It was released on 27th July.
I can't even find much review on it.
Mediatek 8300 only no snapdragon model, 2 version: Anti Glare screen and regular screen.

            • @ASR-Briggs: It is but with the price bump it just doesn't seem to be good value compare to other tablet which use sd8 gen 1/2/3 or mediatek9300 that also released not long ago at similar price point.

              • @alext0413: There are other factors though that will influence performance. For example the jump from to LPDDRX5 (from 4 on the 2023) and UFS 4.0 storage. While a price bump is never welcome (especially for a tablet marketed at the mid-range), I think you're underselling some improvements.

                • @ASR-Briggs: You are definitely right with factors other than SOC also influence performance, and almost all the recent released tablet come with LPDDRX5 and UFS 4.0 if not 3.1.
In the case of xiaoxin pad pro 2025 I find the price bump is justifiable if you compare it to xiaoxin pad pro 2023 and I do see all the improvements.
The reason xiaoxin pad pro gained popularity among ozbargain community was it being priced relatively low at the same time still perform decently.
Take that away, how does the pad pro 2025 comes on top of other competitors with similar features/performance ?

    Oh for god's sake

    • what's the matter bboz?

      • +12

Just the usual… being forced to spend more at my mate, Ali's place.

  • Thanks Clear, loaded up some choice products to the cart but may as well wait to see if they'll drop down a bit in a couple of days.

  • wait so these are for Choice products only But not general things that are on Sale ?

    • +2

The last few Choice sales it has been everything.

  • What's the difference between Aliexpress and Temu nowadays?

    • +4

Min. spend on Temu, for one

    • +5

      Bigger range on Ali

    • +6

AliExpress stock a lot of brands (i.e. Xiaomi) while Temu is mostly all generic stuff.

      • Yeah, that's been my experience too. If I want branded stuff, Ali all day. And now that Choice shipping is good, I've barely bought from Temu in a long time

    • Better packaging for fragile items from AliExpress versus Temu.

    • +1

When you complain and request for a refund, not just Temu but also the supplier will bare the cost lol + recent strick import duties by US and EU, not by AU yet
      https://amp.scmp.com/tech/big-tech/article/3272437/chinese-s…

Temu is still growing and their target is cheapie customers like us. Direct from the factory is what they are doing to cut cost.

  • @Clear Hope TCB has another cashback offer.

  • +5

AE killing Temu now. $15 orders for free shipping which is probably faster and a wider range across 'choice' items. If they can sustain those costs, no reason to look elsewhere.

    • Early days Temu when you could get freebies without inviting anyone it was all sent via Auspost Express. Now everything takes 3+ weeks.

    aliexpress is a confusing interface..
I'm looking for one of these:
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004706662056.html

how do I see if of of those has the deal applied to it (that brand one doesn't tried the code with it already)

    • The item is not listed does not have the choice tag and so it will not work with these codes.

      • choice tag

ahh i see now. ok thanks. I'll know better for next time.

        • Edit Only just noticed its in 2 days.. I'll have to check back in then.

      • +1

That's probably not the case if any of the previous sales are to go by.

  • Looking at getting an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D in this deal. https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006583525562.html

  • +1

Asking honestly, how come people knock bargains often when they're posted here for not being a bargain, but these AliExpress codes that at the max never exceed much more than 12% off make the front page everytime

    • +7

AliExpress is already cheaper than eBay and Amazon for a lot of products. So an extra 12% off is pretty solid

    • I tend to agree. Then again, I've traditionally used AE for items under $20, so these deals never really appeal to me. However, I've been finding eBay cheaper for the same items lately, after factoring in shipping, especially for cheap products.

    • +1

During an Ali sale, many prices are discounted, some a little, some a lot, so the savings with a coupon is often much more than the actual coupon amount.

  • +1

Hopefully this time I can score an andriod handheld like the rg566 or retriod pocket 4 pro for cheap.

    • I'm tossing up between those two as well. Every sale gets harder to resist.

      • There is also a powkiddy x28 for sale for $166 on aliexpress right now. Not sure if I should buy that one. Seems like a decent price currently.

        • Yeah I'm torn between something that can play Gamecube and PS2 or something that's $100 cheaper and more portable. Too many options.

          • +1

@Munkeyalan: RG Cube seems to be the cheapest GameCube capable device

            • +1

@dajackal: Yeah I almost jumped on that when it was on sale a couple of months back. I'd mostly play 4:3 or 16:9 games, though, so I'm not a fan of the 1:1 screen. I'm now tossing up between the RP4 pro and the Ayaneo Pocket Air, which is $399 at Catch. My budget seems to increase the longer I look.

    • Interested in the RG566, but a shame the official Anbernic AliEx store does not have the choice tag.

    • +4

You'll get no answer from me with a neg on the deal.

      • what an absolute muppet aye

      • It was an accident, I upvoted all the other ones I think. I can't remove it

        • +4

All good. You can go to the votes page and revoke. I recommend trying the coupon a minute or so after the sale starts.

Since I requested these coupons I should have more sway if it's redeem too fast.

    • +1

Not a good idea to neg the deal but still want to take up the offer.

    • +1

A neg? Seriously? Because you were too slow in the previous deal?

  • Hoping for a 2230 deal. Been a month!

  • +2

Hopefully coincides with a good deal on a 2TB ssd for Steam Deck…someone post up a deal if you find! 👍

    • +1

Subscribe to 2230 on ozbargain if you're looking for a deal.

      • +1

Yeah, I am - there hasnt been a deal for 2Tb over the last two coupon sales that have happened since the all time low mobiciti 64gb LCD Steam Deck deal, when I picked mine up. Hence looking for another deal to come up again. :)

    • Waiting for this to, recent WD prices are about 180, even cheaper.

  • You note that these are OzBargain exclusive codes, does that mean they're limited to Australian customers, or would they be useable in New Zealand as well? Thanks.

    • +2

Currently AU only but I'll work on getting them to include NZ as well. I'll let you know.

  • +3

why do "picks" go in to a separate cart? half the item listings i want end up being cheaper in one or the other and makes it hard to use these coupons, ends up being so much easier and cheaper to use temu even without the coupons

    • +1

This drives me crazy. I thought items were disappearing from my cart rofl

  • +1

Recently every time I try to purchase a single item on AliExpress it wants me to pick 3 more items to get one free. Can't seem to revert to selecting a single item??

Either I'm doing something strange or I'm part of some odd A/B testing 😉

    • Are you in the bundle deal section where you can pick 3+ for US$2.99?

    • +2

You can just buy 3, then fail the payment page at checkout. Itll make you go back to pay for things 1 by 1.

  • -1

Anyone know how to spot fake stores on Aliexpress? How’s the refund process? Eyeing something on AE but some of the products there are 50% cheaper compared to Ebay/Other online AU stores.

    • +1

Only buy from stores with 95% or higher feedback or "Choice" listings. For returns choice is very good, they just give you an Auspost label and refund you pretty quickly after you drop it off at Auspost.

      • +1

Note: not all 'Choice' listing are legit, but easier for return/dispute.

General rule of thumb is to avoid AliExpress shop named Shop########.

        • My experience with Shop###### is 50/50.

I bought a lego porsche for $16 (~$10 cheaper than any other store) and it arrived as described.

On the flip side I bought 2 hobby grade RC cars (cheap but not "instant red flag cheap") and was bait-and-switched and sent 2 cheap toy RC cars.

Thankfully Ali was good about refunding and I get to keep the toys - Christmas for niece and nephew sorted! Hahaha

I won't be buying from another Shop### unless there are actual reviews.

    • If it helps, I've got a refund on everything I've had an issue with (e.g. never turned up, damaged prior to arriving, significantly not what I ordered or worse quality than the listing suggested).

But I haven't had the guts to buy anything over like $40, I treat it like a 'cheap junk store' and expect lower quality than advertised.

      • Yes but their refund process is shocking. I had their tracking that says the product is lost, literally says lost in transit. Raised a dispute and the customer service was hopeless, says it’s still in transit and won’t refund until the delivery window is closed. Sure enough it never arrived. Imagine if I didn’t even get tracking, no chance they would reimburse.

        • I've found disputes pretty smooth and haven't had any real issues when dealing with AliExpress support. Individual sellers have been a different story, but the formal disputes have always resolved in my favour with little effort - for me at least.

We'll see how things go this time - today I noticed one of my items has the tracking say it was returned to seller and signed as received by them, so… I guess I'm not getting it, hopefully no issues getting my money back on that one (+ $1 extra for the delivery not arriving on time).

    • I just make sure they're sold a few hundred of that particular item

  • +1

Thanks Clear for arranging these! Great work. Will be locked and loaded ready for the day

  • Far out another one? lol, my last order of stuff using the last coupon literally arrived yesterday. Guess I'm spending more money. I feel like they've had these coupons every month.

  • +1

Deal updated to include the global coupons that'll work outside of Australia and in USD only.

  • -1

I remember making my first AliExpress purchase last year for a portable monitor, which was a 15.6 inch 1080p 60Hz Dopesplay monitor. Would've been nice to have used these codes then.

If anyone has recommendations for other portable monitors at AliEx, I'd love to hear them.

  • Need SSD deal :(

    • +1

There's still the Lexar NM790 4TB w/ Heatsink @ BPCTech. Slightly more expensive than the promo deal at 299 previously.

  • Ugh, missed the Reolink camera deal and I literally just placed an order today. A bit gutted.

    • Please hand in your Ozbargain membership.

  • Sorry for my ignorance is there anyway to use super deal with these coupons?

    • +1

No. The limited Super Deals won't stack.

  • +1

Thinking about getting a Miyoo Mini, unless someone can suggest an alternative, preferably <$80

    • i can't suggest an alternative but i got a miyoo a few months ago and it's great

    • The Anbernic RG35XX is probably the closest alternative, although from what I hear the Miyoo is better.

    • I would recommend getting the Miyoo Mini Plus, over the Miyoo Mini V4 (unless you prefer the size).

  • -1

This coupon code is for single use only and can't be used here

    • +2

Can't be used prior to start of sale

      • I’m an idiot. Saw that it was posted on the 30th and the header said ‘tomorrow’ so assumed it started today.

  • +2

Deal updated with more global codes and AUD only codes. The OP now links to the sale page too.

  • Does Aliexpress price jack before these sales? Or are the items in my cart just going up in price for no reason each time i check it.

    • Individual sellers may increase their prices.

  • Are these discounts like what we had couple weeks back ? I can not remember what we had earlier. @Clear

  • Can some please recommend a reliable Trekking Pole?

  • Code doesn't work for me, is my account blacklisted or something :( :(

    https://ibb.co/x6hPcfR

Edit. Tried the codes over and over now I have security error lmao

Edit 2 . Tried on my PC and got one of the codes to work, thanks clear
