10 whole minutes!
My nearest one is a bit under 2 hours drive away. And I can't drive :)
Are they part of Courier Please?
Sendle outsource to the cheapest delivery available in the postcode. They use Couriers Please, aramex and someone else…. Can’t remember
All my eBay labels are Auspost and always have been 🤔
My biggest gripe with Sendle is getting stuff picked up. It's annoying that once it's after midnight you can't book stuff till the next day even though it's well before they would start picking up.
I can tolerate that part but then so often (and I'm not sure if this happens in bigger cities) it doesn't get picked up on the day so it will sit at my front door all day and then I bring it in at night and put it out the next day. Not a good experience for the buyer. I try to just use AusPost unless there's a decent price difference….
Sendle (CouriersPlease) also did this with me, parcels would sit at my door for days on end, longest was 5 days pretty sure. I've changed to Aramex directly now, I get access to the support from the local depot, better rates than Sendle for some areas, and they always come on time to pickup parcels, never had an issue pickup wise from Aramex, and at least with Aramex I can actually speak to someone that lives in my city if I need help, as opposed to waiting for emails for days on end from CouriersPlease.
The sendle dropoff near me was a newsagency. It's also been culled. The guy just left the parcels on the floor toward the back of the aisle, still in view of customers and on the shop floor.
I got the feeling like the owner didn't realize how many people used sendle, as they would have stacks and stacks of parcels to send just sitting out.
Always felt like my stuff was gonna get stolen by some idiot, but to their credit i didn't have any issues getting the items delivered.
I guess it's something. Better than nothing.
Where to check the 50% off postage labels on the app?
Try generating another postage label for your sold item to see if the discount applies.
It will auto apply when you purchase the label and assuming you're an eBay plus member.
Something.
Really needed some free final value listings to make eBay Plus worthwhileCmonnnn just posted off 5 packages last week ;(
I used Sendle for all my eBay sales since parcels arrived faster than standard AusPost. The drop-off spot I used didn’t give proof of lodgement, but I never had issues, so I got comfortable and didn’t bother. The store guy even knew me as a regular.
One day, I dropped off two valuable parcels and went home as usual. The next day, I noticed the tracking hadn’t updated. When I followed up, Sendle questioned whether I even dropped them off. The store denied responsibility and wouldn’t check their CCTV. Sendle wouldn’t do anything either. Since I had no proof, I was stuck.
After about a month, the tracking randomly updated. I reached out to stop the deliveries since I had already refunded the buyers, but it was too late. Luckily, both buyers were nice enough to return the items.
Lesson learned: never drop off a parcel without proof of lodgement. Always get a receipt or some sort of confirmation—don’t make the same mistake I did.
Yeah I’ve never had a lodgement receipt with them either. It’s very sketchy.
You could claim theft and get the police involved. That’s how they would get CCTV footage.
How can I prove I dropped them off? It’s my word against theirs. Maybe I should have tried police.
I haven't used Sendle when selling for a few years now, but I used to take a photo of the parcel behind the counter as "proof".
With Aus Post I take a photo while it is on their scales and get a receipt, to protect against any dispute.
Though I have never had to bother with this after 600 eBay sales (touch wood)The police can legally ask for the CCTV. If they decline, they can come back with a warrant. That's why I would claim theft.
It's quite possible it was picked up by a driver who didn't scan it, and just threw it at the back of his van, then got stored in the warehouse without movement or something.
Store has a scanner and it takes varying times for tracking to reflect that.
Includes Australia Post and Sendle.
Don’t think Aust post is included. Op’s link don’t mention Aust Post either. I paid full price for Aust post yesterday. Yes I do have Plus.
I printed out a 50% off Aust post label just then though
That’s interesting. I bought on 1st Mar. The link said starting 1 June 2023 LOL
eBay is shockingly bad at fixing up the dates in their promo T&Cs. They must get the work experience kid to do copy-paste from old text and then not bother doing proofreading of it. Makes it hard to do a claim with Support later on when it doesn’t apply to your account.
I gave it a +1 anyway since it usually applies to my seller account, and it’s better than nothing at all to help offset the
eBay taxesfees for selling.
I'm an eBay Plus member, neither Sendle or Australia Post labels are showing as discounted…
Terms & Conditions State: "The promotion runs from 00:00 (AEST) on 1 June 2023"
And "The Promotion only applies to Sendle shipping labels on eBay’s labels platform and does not include Australia Post or any other shipping labels and services."Did they contact you about this or did you see the glitch banner?
If it is the glitch it will not show on the payment screen.
The Promotion runs from 00:01 (AEDT) on Wednesday 8 January 2025 to 23:59 (AEDT) on Friday 31 January 2025 (“Promotion Period”).
???????
Note: You can't get extra insurance on this. So best for shipping big non expensive items.
Sendle says its insured upto $300 per parcel for free, which is pretty decent compared to auspost. I can imagine the process for actually making a claim and getting the money would be 10x as difficult as auspost tho
Can anyone please confirm if they have been able to get this "deal"?
There are lots of upvotes, but having read through all the comments, no one is clearly stating it has worked for them, seeming like it is unobtainable to me, or at the very least targeted.Worked for me this evening on something I'd sold.
But weirdly, I'd put in the weight and dimensions of the package, and eBay charged the buyer $9.something for Australia Post - and when I bought the postage label, it charged me $7.something and showed the 50% discount.
So if the real price was $15 I don't know why the buyer only paid $9 and I also don't know why I paid $7 and the buyer paid $9. Surely the buyer should have paid twice what I paid ?!
🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️
Maybe options for standard parcel and express parcel
This offer is targeted, as are all similar offers from eBay:
"You have had less than 100 orders or less than AUD $12k in sales over the past 12 months."
Sendle has become so frustrating. They just did a recent cull of drop off locations. Used to have 4 locations around me, now my nearest one is 10 minutes away - a newsagent 🙄
