Made the mistake of speccing a ThinkPad X13 with 8GB soldered in 2020. Never again lol, thankfully still usable for basic tasks.

I believe you'll just be able to message Amazon directly through their support and they will usually refund or replace the item for you…

Sounds like a hardware defect causing coil whine, try get it replaced if in warranty.

I don't think the battery replacement is offered in Australia, you could always take the $100 USD and replace the battery.

Choose CN because global rom will not have updates and widevine L1 (needed for some streaming apps)
