Kicking off on the 14th until the 20th is another AliExpress sitewide sale (exclusions below) with a heap of coupons. While these should apply on Big Save branded products my advice is always wait until the sale starts to know for certain. As with other sitewide sales I'm happy to ask stores for discounts if you have suggestions, however I can't guarantee everything will be discounted.

Edit: Confirmed to exclude Big Save products, as was warned earlier above.

Coupons exclude new users who have yet to make their first purchase to take advantage of the Welcome deal and the purchase of mobile phones. Coupon minimum spend excludes GST and shipping.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate depending on the card.

The free return commitment is a joke.

    • +14

What do you mean? I've been able to return items for free for refunds just fine.

      • +5

Yep, no issues using free returns

      • +3

Me 3, the two times I've had issues I was refunded & not required to return, AliX sided with myself when sellers didn't bother to communicate, with all the evidence I provided of course. I think the most expensive was just under $200, it was a knock off item falsely advertised.

      • +1

I was impressed at how easy the free returns were.

      • -1

I had to pay for shipping like $20. So, no, not always it is free and evidence taken into consideration. In majority of the cases I had refund though.

    • +1

I imagine usually it works well, but for anyone thinking of using it, make sure to post your item well before the return due date. I cut mine a bit fine (but still within the return window) and Ali closed my case while keeping my item - and closed down every escalation attempt. Wouldn't be too upset if it wasn't much money, but it was a $500 mini PC.

      • Did you do a chargeback?

        • Thinking pretty strongly about it. It'd probably get both my PayPal and Ali accounts banned, but for $500 I'd say it's worth bothering for.

          • +1

@ngengerous: I did a chargeback and just created a new account. No problems

    • agreed, received a broken item and got the run around and never received a refund, buy at your own risk

    • Yep no more free returns for change of mind or otherwise, they give you a hong Kong address and ask you to post it there before refunding. No chance, don't waste your money on anything expensive

  • Anybody know of any good robot vacs?

Clear, any idea if any cashback deals are round the corner? I feel like every second week it's at least 10%.

    • Not 100% sure on cashback increases. We get plenty of good robot vacuum deals locally through Amazon.

  • Why not mobile phones? The blacklist nonsense should be resolved by now.

    • They're definitely not blacklisting anything now? I haven't followed.

    • Yeah gone are the days, desperately waiting to buy couple of phones for upgrade but sales coupon wont work

    • +1

I thought sellers blocked phones sales to Aus cause they may not work with our network and emergency 000 access since they shut off the 3g network, has something changed?

      • That should result in seller not selling at all, you can still buy phones just cannot apply coupons

        • Aliexpress at one point stopped all phone sales to Aus because they were getting returned as they don’t all work/comply with emergency contact requirements since turning off the 3g network.

Has nothing to do with aliexpress coupons.
Has to do with your ability to utilise all bands a phone operates in on the Aus network and ability to call 000 if you’re outside your provider network which many grey import phones do not comply with now.

  • Anyone aee any deals on the dashcams? I missed out on the last viofo one

  • thanks adding discounts % to the table.

wish they did US$40 off US$239 again like in the anniversary sale

    • Some of the coupons that came later in the anniversary sale were at 20% discount, plus Shopping Credits and Cashback ~%20 😀

      • yep, i'm always stacking coins, seller discounts, shopping credits and cashback

    • You can fill the rest of the discount with coins from their games. 40 out of 240 is always achievable some way.

      • I already have tens of thousands of coins haha

Last two orders were supposed to arrive in February, nothing arrived. Complained and requested a refund, keep being told that I have to wait until late May even though tracking shows shipment last seen at the airport 2 months ago and 1.5 month ago.
    A rip off.

    • +2

Yeah I've had something similar and put in a dispute. The seller basically said it wasn't their problem as it's in the destination country. After 3 days AliExpress stepped in a fully refunded me.

      • When was that?

        • Last year.

          • @Viospeed: I have read a lot of complaints nowadays. They don't refund even if not delivered.

      • My 2 orders from Feb 4 with latest delivery date March 2 still haven't arrived. Both items say they arrived in the country on March 1 and March 3 with no further update.

Can't request for a refund yet because the item is "still in transit" :/

Meanwhile I ordered 2 other items on March 9 and they arrived March 20.

        • It's just too much of a risk and inconvenience. I won't be buying there anymore.

          • @noskich: I agree ! In the last 3 months I've had 3 items not arrive, PayPal have investigated and refunded one. The last item is 70 days late. According to the seller it is still in transit. AliExpress needs tó take ownership.

  • Should we wait until goods intended for US will be on sale?

I'm hoping so as I'm looking for a mad Ryzen 7700 deal like the one I missed out on:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/899069

      • Also hoping to pick up one as well!

      • Why not go for a Ryzen 9600 for better single core performance 12% on emulators and applications & windows feels a little smoother.. also anything that uses avx512 has a big improvement. Games are 1-3% slower VS 7700 do to a little less cache and 2 less cores on games that like 8 cores.

      • I bought one from this deal for ~$200 after cashback and it was a very good deal. Want to get another one, but the prices have raised >USD50 now. That was a very good deal for the CPU.

  • Any chance for an awesome tablet deals like some of the past ones for lenovo or Alldocube?

  • +2

Hope there’s some good reolink deals

  • DIY watch kits, it's go time.

  • I don’t get Shopback’s cashback rate, which one applies

    5% (Capped at $50)
    0.1% (Capped at $50)

I made a small purchase, cashback rate was 0.1% 😡

    What time does this start?

    • -1

Start times can be found below the description on deals.

      • My Ali app says 14/4 at 5pm, weird

        • Same:

          Apr 14, 17:00 AEST-Apr 21, 16:59 AEST

        • Same.. 14th 17:00AED

  • +1

Still waiting…these.codes are always hit and miss but more miss

    • It's the same answer everytime. Start of the month you get Choice coupons that are limited to Choice products and exclude Big Save and sometime during the middle you get sitewide with the usual exclusions (i.e. phones). My deals will say what they are - it's pretty simple.

Of course no one ever provides links when requested after complaining they don't work. $10 says it's because they're in the exclusions.

      • This code isn't quite valid yet. Try again later

        • Yes on OzBargain the start and end times for deals have their own section below the deal description.

      • I guess these code can't be used with "Big Save" products (or at least the CPU I'm trying to buy)…correct?

This coupon code can't be used in combination with other discounts

        • That seems to be correct. I mentioned they should but didn't say would. Thanks for confirming - I'm away at the moment and it's difficult to check.

  • I'm kind of surprised with the current trade tariff war, that USD isn't specifically excluded from all major Chinese websites.

    • +1

      It's all theatre mate.

    • +3

Why would it? The only ones who pay tarrifs are the Americans as a form of customs duty. Not AliExpress, the sellers or us here in Australia. USD is still a good currency.

  • Sorry had my dates wrong. This one is tomorrow.

    • Maybe edit the deal text - still says 13th.

      • Ideally people should read the start and end dates below the description/social media buttons. It's always surprising when some members of over 10 years miss it.

        • If you are referring to me then I was across your mistake - just trying to avoid any further confusion and questions around the inconsistency in the date and your revised validity period.

Quicker to just fix it than start a new sub thread I would have thought.

It seems there will be another cashback event on the 16/04/2025 if you check the apps on the phone so might want to wait before splurging.

    • which cashback provider?

      • Their own cashback, the one with the influencers thing.

    • NVM they removed it after midnight for some reason :(

  • +2

    16% cashback at TopCashback.

  • Anyone have any recommendations for Quest 3 accessories from Ali?

  • Any good AMD AM5 CPU deals?

  • Any good prices on a 2tb SSD for a rog ally?

    • You might need to wait a few deals. I eventually got my sn740 2tb in March for $98usd/$157aud.

      • +1

Found one for $100 usd + gst because I'm in NZ.

  • +2

    Sitewide coupon codes my ass.

Getting this error when adding coupon code on a Ryzen 9600 or 7700 CPU: This coupon code can't be used in combination with other discounts

Both CPUs have been that price for ages even not cheaper from other deals.

    • Yeah same for me. I am trying to get a r36h

    • Yeah same here pretty annoyed wanted to nab a 7700

      • Yeah it sucks, there was a ryzen 7700 deal on aliexpress for $221 last month.

        • Yeah should of pulled the trigger but when I saw the deal was only like 20 mins left.. but I did pick up a maxsun itx motherboard for $136 and they go for $250+ here can't complain

    • Are you trying to use the code with "welcome deal" items?

    • Yep, me too!

  • Bought the intel Aoostar NAS deal

    • Do you have a link for that? Is it from China Box Store? Wish I'd grabbed the AMD deal last time…

  • Placed my order, got $41 off after coins, discounts etc. Plus 15% at CR today, didn't notice this posted before.

[EDIT] CR just came through - another $40 back! That is more than 15% but I'm not complaining.

    • you didn't mention the original/total price

      • About $249.

    • what you get? :)

      • No one big item - 3 watches, 8 x 18650 batteries, LED Nixie Clock and some stuff for the Mrs.

  • -1

Is there a $30 threshold when via PayPal? My friend said that there is

    • What? No.

  • @Clear any chance we will see some Reolink deals?

  • @Clear ryzen 7700 deal please!!!

None of the coupons work for 7700 deals

    • Big Save is excluded which seems to be all the Ryzen

  • Will these coupon codes restock? @Clear

    • Are they saving they've been exhausted?
