Customers who sign up to a new Optus $69 SIM only plan in store at Harvey Norman, Domayne or Joyce Mayne during the offer period will also be eligible to purchase a Google Pixel 8 Pro 128GB device with a $1699 discount applied upfront to the cost of the device at point-of-sale. Device must be purchased at the same time the plan is taken out. Limit of 1 per service, up to a max of 5 per customer. Not available to TechFund and Fleet customers.         Yes because HN is getting only limited stock.. My HN store yesterday told me total 9 sets arrived and mine was 8th order so I'll get one today… 10th and all other orders after that will have to wait few more days/weeks for next stock arrival…

    I feel bad for those with stock issues. I haven't even ordered the phone, just called up yesterday to request they hold one for me til the 16th when I can go in. 'Yeah, no fuss.'

    Granted, this is in Cairns, much fewer people to compete with, but I was surprised I was able to delay for so long and not be told I would have to wait 2 to 3 weeks.

    I didn't get a call so I decided to call my store (Auburn Flagship) and they confirmed my Porcelain 256 is ready for pickup. I ordered Saturday 10/7 afternoon. Good luck everyone!

    Ordered 256GB Black at HN Noarlunga SA on Monday morning and have it in hand after ringing them this morning.

    They only got delivered 4 black 256GBs and I was order number 4. Luck on my side.

    I cancelled the plan as soon as I walked out the store on Monday so if you're a little nervous about that, don't be.

Sure enough, my order had not arrived yet, but there were already two customers waiting to sign up for a phone.     Just an update for those playing along at home: I ordered a 256GB Obsidian from Melbourne City HN on Friday 6/10.

    I called in to check if they had stock as the site says no stock, and they do (at least for pre-orders, maybe not for fresh purchases). They apparently texted me on my new Optus number, which in true OzBargain fashion, I'm not using and will be cancelling.

    Will be heading over there on lunch break to collect.

    Just collected my phone and now churned my Optus number out to Telstra.

    And churning out was so painless and fast, less than 5mins I am out at Telstra line. Best $2 spent ever (rather than going hours and hours on the Optus phone support).

      I tried churning to a telstra $2 sim, keep getting an error on their online system at the last step 'something went wrong, please try again later'. It might have something to do with my optus account being messed up, unable to register it or login as maybe the email was used for an old account.

      These bloody telcos, rubbish systems.

      I would say yes because plan is with Optus and phone with HN, but since potentialy you will have to pay for first full month charge anyway so may as well just use it and cancel before 2nd month.

          Yeah, you will get the recent/1st month charge + early terminated fee. The bill might be generated right away or on later date.

              @almostfrench: Some people in here claimed that they cancel right away outside in the parking lot of HN and avoid the 1st month charge.
              Other claimed they still have to pay. So there is no sure way of telling you how to do that.

              I personally need the service to roam oversea so Im not going to cancel straight away.

          You asked if anyone who has taken out this offer can report on their experience. When there are literally hundreds of comments of people doing exactly that and sharing if the deal worked for them, myself included.

    I called and asked if my P8P (Bay 256GB) was ready for pick up and they said it was (Ordered on 08/10). I just picked it up and moved everything from my P5 to my new P8P. Thank you guys for this neat loophole! Also, the guy at HN gave me a free Cygnett glass screen protector for free… so props to him as well!

          I was offered the $49 plan with a $20 discount plus an additional 10GB of data taking it up to 40GB in total but I would have had to pay the early termination fee, which if I hadn't specifically clarified I might have thought I didn't need to pay it. He was all about helping me with a new contract but would do sweet FA with the current $69 contracted plan.

      Sounds very good, just check that they don't still send the cancellation fee as others said they were offered same deal but that the cancellation fee will still be applied.

      I forgot my receipt, they didn't care and printed up an identical one on collection. All I needed was drivers license.

      That said, if you're more organised that me just bring it to be safe.

            @fefris: I thought early termination doesn't impact credit unless you don't pay on time?

            So in theory (I could be wrong) he only gets hit once on this credit, buying 1 or buying 5 all goes under the one check.

            Not disagreeing with the rest of what you said though. For $1000 it's not worth it, time has a value too.

    Well that went smooth as silk picked up my p8 pro 256 gig black from Harvey Norman Aspley this morning came home canceled have to pay $793 50 plus 69
    I'm very happy with that overall I did wanted to have the physical stock in my hand before I canceled.
    Cancel online on the app it was very straightforward he never even tried to railroad me into a different direction he did offer but I said I was an interested.
