      Kudo…strange that G54 & G84 sales-continue…when is Moto-AU-stock going to run-out ?

These neggers now feel much-better & may be some are waiting for further-price-drop🤣: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15366868/redir

        BigW 11-Jun-24 sales: with a voucher, I went hunting for G84, a week-after start-date & it was sold-out in metro-stores in MY-state, with some stock in regional-stores only.
        I've just-checked stock in MY-state & there're stores WITH-stock as per shown-online. I rang my LOCAL-BigW & the rep advised me that MORE-stock did-arrived: both G54 & G84.
        Strange…where did the extra-stock came from ?

May be it's prudent to do some-research to see how much stock are out there, especially if you're waiting for further-price-drop & MUST have 4G phone that can-call…Telstra & Optus to shutdown their 3G-network soon ?

Can only apply one code at checkout?

Cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon.

So would've only been $179.10. Deal now expired.

  • Can this do video output via the usb c port? I'm looking at purchasing a set of AR glasses and need something that can output video via usb c seeing my pixel 7 pro can't do it.

  • seems good for international travel too

I bought this thing the other day as a temp phone while my Z Fold is being repaired and I'm very surprised how good it is for only $180. Its making rethink why I only buy flagships.

    • +12

Maybe the same reason I do. I expect something awesome each time to find it is no different to the phone it replaced. The marketing and hype are strong…

      • +4

Yeah that's pretty much where I'm at too lol.

    • I purchased one a few weeks back as a burner for OS. Was pretty good tbh, then I threw a dozen apps on it and it slowed dramatically, not sure why though.

    • Lol exact same here, bought the G54 a few days ago to replace a broken Samsung (albeit 2 years old) flagship and now realising I'm not missing much

  • i paid $177

  • +5

I paid $149 when it was 50% off and the best value deal that I have got on a phone for a very very long time

  • -5

    how is 128GB enough nowadays…?

    • +14

It has a rare feature called microSD

      • +1

here's a rare feature even flagship phones don't even know about (aka reason to up sell larger capacity at silly prices)

      • -3

Doesn't work if you want dual physical sim though. And SD cards has failed before.

        • +1

You can't use dual physical SIM on the G54, it's one SIM + eSIM and pretty sure it has a separate tray for the SD card.

          • @Cousin IT: It's one tray with 2 slots: slot 1 for sim card and slot 2 for micro-SD card.

            Second sim is eSim only.

          • @Cousin IT: Exactly my point, g84 is a better buy. Double the storage. Easily swappable with dual sim slots.

    • Not everyone is storing Linux distros on their phone.

    • It's a <$200 phone you weirdo. Even if it was 64GB there would be no problems because of its price

  • Would this be a good work phone?
using teams, emails, social media and call clients about x20 a day if not more I live and breathe on my phone but I'm sick of using my personal phone and need to get a new phone to separate personal and work phone. I missed out on my opportunity to get a phone with the company as I joined up with them (2 days off)….

Buy-G84: you've income, tax-deduction, need tool to support your income, extra-RAM helps with concurrent-APPs…don't skim on $100.

      Double check G84 with work's IT-dept to ensure system-compatibility & enough-grunt to run work-APPs.

      • Originally I looked at the G84 over all options but missed out on the deals that came by will most likely go that option, work apps aren't to intensive

      • How worried should I be if there's limited scope for OS updates?

        • What's YOUR-preference…each-to-their-own ?

          May be it's UN-realistic to pay $250 ish for a G84 & expect similar-features as a Galaxy/iphone/Pixel…be it OS-updates, grunt, brand etc ?

  • Wasn’t this $29 previously via amaysim?

Targeted to some existing customers with 3G phones I believe…
