Welcome to the ultimate guide of Xbox Game Pass subscriptions!

IMPORTANT UPDATE 26 JULY 2023:

OlduBil: "Transfers from foreign bank accounts to our bank accounts in Turkey are not possible".

  • OlduBil is no longer accepting deposits/transfers from foreign bank accounts. Please DO NOT make any transfers into OlduBil (i.e. your Türkiye Mastercard) until further notice!

  • If you already have the funds in OlduBil from a previous transfer, you are free to use it for anything. For those wanting to top up your Türkiye Mastercard, please DO NOT initiate any transfers into OlduBil from Wise or Revolut until I have a new update

  • This deal is expired and is effectively over at this point in time. Every transfer done is at your own risk!

18/07/23: OlduBil has increased their top-up fees to 9.3% (up from 6.25%) stating "Dear customer, our global operations cost increased due to high inflation rate in Turkish Lira. In order to continue the service we provide you we had to change our top-up commission to 9,3%. We appreciate your understanding and support."

Updates:

  • 26/06/23 11:40pm - Turkish Lira have crashed even more, so I've corrected all prices in this guide!
  • 26/06/23 11:40pm - Fixed the incorrect plan total amount, thanks to @6wolfy9
  • 27/06/23 1:30pm - Due to the sudden and large number of transfers from you guys, Wise is now giving a transfer date of 3rd July. Please avoid Wise if you can and go the Revolut route. I can confirm Revolut transfers are much faster within minutes (or hours at the latest). For those who have already initiated a transfer via Wise, feel free to cancel the transfer (or let it send anyway in case you want to buy cheap Turkey products and services or sign up to other cheap Turkey subs) and go to Revolut.
  • 28/06/23 1:00pm - Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer. - thanks to @netsurfer
  • 03/07/23 2:00am - Edited method, I'm so sorry for making all of you pay for an extra month for no reason for the 36 months plan. Please forgive me.
  • 04/07/23 6:30pm - Microsoft must have caught on, and are blocking OlduBil Virtual cards due to security issues (good fraud prevention). This is an easy fix, and THIS DEAL IS STILL WELL AND ALIVE! Here's what you need to do:
    • Log on microsoft, then go to Contact Us. Click "Contact us" to bring up the 'Contact us' window. For the first dropdown field "What are you having trouble with", select "Subscriptions and Billing". For the second dropdown field "What's the issue", select "I need help purchasing content". For the third field "Describe your issue", man up and say something. Click "Next" > "See contact options" > "Chat online" then you'll be connected with an agent instantly. Tell them you are not able to add your credit card and ask if there's a problem on your MS account. If they ask ridiculous questions, pretend it's all working fine and start a new chat.

Credits to @Scrooge McDeal, who suggested I make a guide on this awesome ALL TIME LOW deal! And you probably know me by now - if I make a guide, best believe it's gonna be good (let me know if someone else can do it better pls). Like Netflix and Disney Plus and literally every guide I've made, I spent a chunk of money out of generosity to test the current validity of this method (I tested transfers from Wise into OlduBil) as well as annotating screenshots throughout the sign-up process (see screenshots in the instructions section). From this testing, I believe this opens a new doorway to a variety of insane deals and prices we weren't able to previously obtain. Please show some love and any comments, concerns, suggestions or feedback are welcome :)

Modern problems require modern solutions. Like Youtube, Netflix, Discord, Google One, Microsoft 365, relocating (virtually of course) to Turkey is usually the best option, with some methods saving hundreds or thousands of dollars each year added up.

The processes below are very easy, just take it slow and you'll get there! Just remember you'll be saving hundreds at the end of the day. The 14 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan will cost ₺374,94 TL ($21.64 AUD, or $1.55/mth) and the 36 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan will cost ₺1034,72 TL ($59.68 AUD, or $1.66/mth). Note that despite the long term 36 month plan has a higher $/mth, it works out cheaper because if you signed up to 14 months, you'll be paying almost 3 times higher if you want to extend at the end of the 14th month.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • No VPN required
  • You must have no current subscriptions

Part 2a - Topping up your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard with Wise (App or Web)

Wise fee: ~A$2.13, OlduBil fee: 6.25% of transfer (~A$4.35 for a ₺1200 TL transfer)

Update: 28/06/23 1:00pm - **Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer.

  1. Log in or create an account on Wise. You can use the Wise website, or the Wise app on the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android).

  2. Top up Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Wise account (at least $30 AUD for the 14 month plan, $75 for the 36 month plan but no more than $160 because OlduBil allows a maximum deposit of ₺2750,00 TL ≈ A$160 per month). You can add Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Wise account via PayID (instant, no fee), POLi (instant, $1.18 AUD fee) or Manual Bank Transfer (business days only, no fee).

  3. Convert your Australian Dollars (AUD) to Turkish Lira (TRY). This conversion should be instant. To do this, click onto "Australian Dollar", then "Convert", then select AUD → TRY and type in the amount you wish to convert and press "continue" then "convert". Wise charges a 1.07% fee for AUD-TRY conversions.

  4. Send your newly converted Turkish Lira to your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard. To do this, click onto "Turkish Lira", then "Send", then select "Same currency". Enter the amount of Turkish Lira you wish to transfer (Note: Wise charges a ₺24.34 TL flat fee for a single transfer, so this fee will be added onto the amount you enter). Click "continue", then "New contact", then "Someone else". On this page, leave the "their email" box empty, and tick "I know their bank details". For the "Full name of the account holder" field, type in "TURK ELEKTRONIK PARA A.S." and for the "IBAN" field, type in the IBAN you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. Continue and in the "Review transfer details" section (see screenshot), double check everything is correct and then for the "Reference for TURK" field, you must type in your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard number (without spaces). Tick the confirmation box and then "Confirm and send". This transfer will only be initiated during normal Turkey business hours and takes around 10 minutes on Wise's end. My transfer took 2 hours to land into my OlduBil account.

Note: Make sure you only transfer the amount you actually need to pay for your subscription (add a few dollars extra in case due to currency fluctuations) because due to regulations, OlduBil does not allow withdrawals unless you originally signed up with a Turkey phone number.

Part 2b - Topping up your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard with Revolut (App only)

Revolut fee: ~A$1.79, OlduBil fee: 6.25% of transfer (~A$4.35 for a ₺1200 TL transfer)

Update: 28/06/23 1:00pm - **Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer.

  1. Download the Revolut app on the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) if you don't already have it installed.

  2. Open the app and log in or create an account (if you don't have it already).

  3. Top up Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Revolut account (at least $30 AUD for the 14 month plan, $75 for the 36 month plan but no more than $160 because OlduBil allows a maximum deposit of ₺2750,00 TL ≈ A$160 per month). You can add Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Revolut account via a debit/credit card (instant, no fee), Apple Pay (instant, no fee), Google Pay (instant, no fee) or Manual Bank Transfer (usually instant, no fee).

  4. Convert your Australian Dollars (AUD) to Turkish Lira (TRY). This conversion should be instant. To do this, select "Australian Dollar", then "Exchange", then select AUD → TRY and type in the amount you wish to convert and press "Review order" then "Sell AUD for TRY". Revolut charges no fee for currency conversions.

  5. Send your newly converted Turkish Lira to your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard. To do this, go to the buttom tabs of the app and click onto "Transfer", then "+ New" (top right corner), then select "Send International". Scroll down and select "Türkiye" as the destination. Enter the amount of Turkish Lira you wish to transfer (Note: Revolut charges a ₺30.15 TL flat fee for a single transfer, so this fee will be added onto the amount you enter). For the transer method, select "Bank Account" (this is probably default anyway). For the Reference field, you must type in your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard number (without spaces). Click "Continue", then on the "Who to pay" page, tap "+ New" (top right corner). Select the "Business" tab. For the IBAN field, type in the IBAN you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. For the BIC/SWIFT field, type in the BIC code you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. For the "Company name", type in "TURK ELEKTRONIK PARA A.S." and ignore the email field. Press "Add the recipient" then on the following page, enter the VakıfBank address (the one from Part 1 Step 3) and review the transfer and estimated arrival, then send it off to Turkey :))

    HELP POINT using Aktifbank: Screenshots of the process for step 5 in the following order: (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (9)

HELP POINT using VakıfBank: TBC but very similar to Aktifbank (just different bank information) see above screenshots for process

Note: Make sure you only transfer the amount you actually need to pay for your subscription (add a few dollars extra in case due to currency fluctuations) because due to regulations, OlduBil does not allow withdrawals unless you originally signed up with a Turkey phone number.

            • @I Smell Pennies: Thank you @I Smell Pennies. Managed to snag one in the end!

Thankfully I don't need to repeat this process for another 3 years!

  • +2

All done for 36 months! Thanks @I Smell Pennies for all the work you put into this.

    • Thank you for your support! Enjoy your GPU sub :) @TonightAt11

  • My first transaction just showed up, was able to purchase items from the store without issue. I had added my Turkish credit card information online when I had it, so it was ready to go when funds were in the account.

Picked up a 25L / $1.45ish skin with 600 vbucks in fortnite to test if that worked, it did.
Picked up a ~$3 add-on to Hello Neighbour ($30 in Australia) to test if that worked, it did.

Waiting on my second transfer to hit so I can grab a couple of games. The first was only a small amount incase it didn't work. Planning to pick up Hogwarts Legacy for ~$42AUD. Saw a few other games I was considering, but that's the main one.

Unfortunately I can't add Game Pass to my account as I already have it through until Decemberish next year.

    • Did you use the same email for oldbuil as ms account?

      • No different email. My Xbox account is around 15 to 20 years old. It's the same account I have had since day one atleast.I still have access to the email it was created with (a hotmail account), but it's not my primary one so I signed up to Oldbuil with a different email.

Wise - Used my legit information at every step and with my current email
Oldbuil - Same but I don't think it asked me for as much information
MS account - Used my primary one which has redeemed keys from Brazil, Argentina, Turkey etc. It has purchased stuff from the US store using an American paypal account and the AU store like normal. Now it has purchased from the Turkish store also using the virtual card.

My current game pass was I think Turkish or Brazil Xbox Live cards bought from eneba, and then I purchased one month of Australian Game Pass to convert it. Not sure that makes a difference. Oh, one thing I had done was swap my region to Turkey too. I had to do that once to activate a CD-Key I got.

Also activating CD keys I had used VPN, this time I did it without.

Alright so, I converted and transferred money at 9.03 PM on the 27th via Revolut.

I followed the guide to a T and sent it over to Oldubil and the money was marked as successfully transferred and I received an email from Revolut stating so at 9.14 PM on the 27th.

Then, to my dismay, I arrived at the conclusion everyone else did that it was a bank holiday until 4 PM today Aus time and eagerly awaited the day.

Now I've been refreshing the Oldubil app since 4 PM and refreshing all the guides using Oldubil and checking the comments on Ozbargain watching various people state they are in the same boat as me or saying they transferred today and it came through fine.

Now my question is, have I pissed money into the wind or are they actually this backed up? It seems like the newest transfers are happening fine.

Finally all done for 36 months. Thanks @I Smell Pennies for the great work !!

Card issue seems to be hit-and-miss, it didn't worked for 20+ times with different addresses on an existing MS account and even with a new account.
At last, I had to create a new account with the below address and the card got added.

    Address -
    Kızılırmak Mh.

    Contacted support;

You said: Hi. I cannot add my card details to my account

You said: I need to add them to purchase game pass

Agent said: I apologize for the issue you’re facing. No worries, I’ll check this for you now

Agent said: Is “mojadu####” the account in question?

    You said: Yep

Agent said: Thank you so much for confirming. It appears that the system identified something out of the ordinary and for your account and payment option’s protection, it applied a temporary lock, it’s just a security measure to make sure no fraudulent transaction occurs, it’s nothing to worry about

You said: Oh, okay. When does that get lifted

Agent said: I will escalate your case to our billing team now to request from them to lift this temporary lock, and you can add your card afterwards 😊

Agent said: The process will take 1-2 hours, and we’ll update you over email once sorted. Sounds good?

You said: Sure, that sounds good

More after that but just confirming email comms for when the lock is lifted etc. There's hope I guess

    • im one of the 27th people. Page 11 with a few others.
Someone received theirs first, then about 30mins later i received mine.

Completed all the process and now with 3yrs.

I added my Oldubil card to my payment to my account first even with no funds.
Once the funds arrived, I went ahead and followed all the steps for 36months.

Give it some more time, I'm sure it'll come soon. Mine was around ~8pm

    • Just got my money on the account. Transferred via Revolut on the 27th at 0:40

    • Okay I finally see it now!
Looks like they're picking through the backlog of transactions.

To everyone having issues adding your card on the site, try on your console.

I changed my Xbox region to Turkey, reset the console then added my card through there.

I then reverted my console back to Australia and used the site (now with the card added) to do everything to get the 36 months of ultimate

      hah! beat me to it!

    • +1

This did the trick, thanks so much!

    • +1

      thanks, worked like a charm.

    • +1

      Thanks

    Guys, it's not the address.

Change your Xbox location to Turkey via settings. Add your payment method via your console.

Head back to your PC, the payment settings will be there. Enjoy.

    • +1

What if you don't have an Xbox?

        • +2

Changing my Country/Region to Turkey - I was still unable to add my Oldubil card.

      • Should've gone to spec savers… oh wait wrong one.

I made a new outlook account with a VPN to turkey, logged that onto the xbox pc App, then went through the one of the links above in the post. Logged into the same account, added a payment method (worked) and continued with the process.

        • Doesn't that mean the Xbox account is now turkey? Meaning no cloud gaming?

    • I don't think this is necessarily the fix, I contacted support like others and had an auto block on my account as per their security measures.

    • Thanks, just did this - worked fine.

    • thanks it worked!

    • Thanks mate. I've spent about an hour to change the address. Now it works by your method !!!

    • -1

      Worked wonderfully!

Oldubil arrived just an hour earlier. Fully loaded for 36 months.

      Thank you and Thanks OP!

      • What did you use to fund Oldubil ?

        • I used Revolut.

Tried Wise initially but cancelled due to the 3rd July estimate. It ended up 3rd July anyway.

    Got in contact with support:

Here's the gist of what support said to me:

    • the operation was rejected due to risk the system just wanted to make sure that no one use your account and to also to make sure that there was no fraudulent activity.
    • I am escalating your account right now to be reviewed and remove risk off your payment, so you can add your payment instrument as soon as possible
    • I have just completed the ticket for you here is your reference number xxx. I have already escalated it to remove the risk that’s blocking your payment
    • I sent the request to confirm that it’s you trying to add it so our team can remove anything blocking you, I will be waiting for the feedback so I can get back to you myself and update you once it’s done.
    • It shouldn’t take too long just few hours from now, I will be able to update you shortly today.

    Hope it helps someone.

    • Basically the exact same conversation I had with support.

      • Same here. Here's hoping by tomorrow morning things are sorted!

    • Thank you, that really helped!
I asked for ETA and they told "12 to 24 hours. Sometimes earlier than that. "

  • Money finally showing up in OlduBil! Will have a crack at Xbox sub tomorrow.

TY once again OP what a great deal. was able to unblock my acc through support ages before anyone else, so thankyou for all the downvotes to the people that thought it was fake

i understood your wit in your comments but i can see why people were skeptical with you

      • +1

yeah tbf im in contact with xbox support a fair bit so i do understand how they write more than others i guess..

    • Can confirm my account had a block on it and the Live Chat support has escalated unblocking for me.

    • +1

@bob98 Thank you for your support! Enjoy your GPU sub :)

      • thanks legend, just bought you a few coffees!!

  • I also contacted support:

"You’re most welcome, I have a great news for you, I’ve already done creating your case and send your case to our Internal team and as per checking it’s already under their queue right now and ready to fix, and just to give you a heads-up that the work around for this one will take within 24 hours no worries I already set your case into “Urgent” so that it will be shorten the time to fix your issue and it will be fix as soon as possible, and on my end I will leave your case open so that if there’s an update on it I will immediately inform you through your email."

    I hope it's less than 24 hours

  • Contacted support about the card payment issue, the person I got already knew what the problem was (same as everyone's saying, account security measure but also because I tried so many times in a short amount of time) and sorted it out quick smart. They said 1-2 hours to fix up and will get an email when ready.

    • I've now successfully activated the card, was too impatient to wait for an email and tried and it worked.

Awesome deal. Had no luck with adding my OlduBil card on the web, but after changing my region to Turkey on my Xbox and adding my card to my usual account there, I was able to do the rest of the steps.

(no contacting support, just changing region and adding card on Xbox instead)

    • +2

I can confirm this works for me. Had error message when adding oldubil master card to payment via MS web page. Changed my xbox to turkey, add master card without any problem. No need to contact support. Now I can see my card in payment option from MS website. Just need to wait for the money hits my oldubil account.

    • Another +1, was having issues adding cc on pc as it said address wasn't matching, no such issues on the console,

    • +1

@b3au Thank you for your support! Enjoy your GPU sub :)

  • My experience so far:

Sent cash via Revolut on 28th June @ 20:41, saw confirmation of payment today (3rd July) @ 13:30.

FINALLY appeared on oldubil @ 23:30

Couldn't add card details to MS account (error: info not matching card)

On with support right now (jumping through a few hoops but it looks like my case is to be escallated).

I'm worried they'll see my attempts of adding a card under different addresses in Turkey and think I'm doing something really dodgy though!!

    • +1

Just spoke to chat and had the lock also, they said should take a couple hours so fingers crossed

    • +1

Sent mine on Revolut 28th also still not on Oldubil

      • yeah I was getting really fed up with checking, I killed a bit of time trying to see if I could add the card to my MS account before it came through - which lead me down the path of getting it unblocked (as I got the same error as many others).

Might be worth doing this in the meantime too - otherwise its going to be more waiting

  • Is the extra month for 3 month sub if auto renew is turned on still available? Might save more that way? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/717378

  • Oldubil finally came through!!!! Time to do this.

    • Same! Revolut 28/06 Wish me luck!

  • Never got an email but just tried mine now and it worked lol

    • Same for me, it worked. (:-)

  • +1

I was having the card details issue. I tried the changing xbox location solution mentioned above and I was able to successfully add the card information through the xbox. The address was already there from trying to do it on the PC (about 30 times!).

After completing the 36 month deal I changed my xbox region back to Australia.

All my saves are still preserved. All game pass games appear to be working as normal. Cloud gaming doesn't work. Claiming games with gold also doesn't seem to work. Game pass 'perks' section seems identical to before. Same with the gamepass quests & microsoft rewards app.

One tip when going through the purchasing process for each of the subs is to use a spreadsheet (someone mentioned it above). It makes it easier to keep track of where you are upto in the process. Also, ISP's post doesnt mention turning off recurring billing for the final purchase of GPU. Make sure you turn it off or your oldubil will start getting charged in 3 years time.

  • Thanks to not just ISP but everyone's input. After a long arduous process I also tried adding the CC to my console and it worked first time. I then went back to my PC and added each subscription as provided, using a spreadsheet to keep track. XGPU till 2026 amazing.

    • @chameleonsaint Thank you for your support! Enjoy your GPU sub :)

  • +1

Thanks everyone for the comments and help. Have also contacted support and waiting now.
Does this method mean cloud gaming won't work? Just noticed a few comments mention it, or is that only if you switch to Turkey as a location?

    • I went through the whole process on my Australian MS account and cloud gaming, Games with Gold redemption both work fine for me.

  • I've got an existing Australian GPU sub that expires April 2025 (From this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/691950) and was hoping to be able to add 15 months of GPU by buying in 1 month increments however it keeps throwing up the following error:

    Microsoft Store bolgenizi degistirin

Su anda farkli bir bolgeden bir abonelige sahipsiniz. Yine de ise yaramazsa lutfen musteri destegine basvurun (Change your Microsoft Store region. You currently have a subscription from a different region. If it still doesn't work, please contact customer support.)

I've tried changing my microsoft region to Turkey, xbox account is set to turkey but still not having any luck, anyone got in touch with customer support and were they able to fix it if so?

    • For anyone in the same boat, customer service confirmed that you can't change your existing sub's region even if microsoft & xbox acc regions have been witched to Turkey.

Hi Guys, I am 1 of the many that had issue adding Credit Card into Payment Method. I've been following the chats above and was able to solve. I want to share that I had found.

    My Microsoft Account
    - It is an existing account from at least 10 years ago, for region of "Australia". I have never used it to make any purchase and never had any credit card added.
    - I have an Xbox, its region is set to "Australia". My Microsoft Account is logged into this Xbox.

    What I tried, but failed.
    1. Tried to add Credit Card via PC and Mobile, received the info doesn't match error. Changed address all around Turkey without success.
    2. I contact Xbox support, but there was NO block on my account. I specifically asked if there was a block due from fraud protection, the answer was "no".

What I then did, and suceeded.
    3. I saved a random address in Turkey to my Microsoft Account, as I was tired of typing in address. You can set your address here: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/addresses, I used my Australian mobile as the mandatory phone number with Australia's international prefix, format: 61XXXXXXXXX
    4. I changed my Microsoft Account's Country or Region to "Turkey".
    5. I turned on my Xbox, change my Account's region on Xbox to "Türkiye", language remained English. I have now aligned my Online Microsoft Account's Region and Xbox's Microsoft Account's Region, both to Turkey.
    6. I added the Credit Card successful after doing the above, using my Xbox. I used the same saved address that earlier had failed Credit Card add, so I can confirm 100% the issue is not your address in Turkey.
I found the key thing I did was aligning Online Microsoft Account's Region and Xbox's Microsoft Account's Region, both to Turkey. After getting my 36 months sub, i changed everything back to Australia.

Hope this can help other folks.

  • I also have problem with mismatch info when adding the OlduBil credit card and Turkey address. Seems like only people who own an Xbox able to change the region to Turkey and fix this problem. I don't have an Xbox, anyway to fix this on just PC?

    • Hi mate, if you are playing on PC (I assume with Game Pass), is there a storefront UI that lets you set region? My PC is too weak for gaming, so not familiar with its UI options. Perhaps worth looks into.
If you have never games on your PC and therefore never set any region for your PC's storefront, then I'd image you have nothing to align. Your online Microsoft Account's region will be your 1 and only region you have.

      • Not familiar with the storefront UI and how to change region. Sorry.

    • Contact MS support.

    • Also in the same boat.

    • I have a Series X and changed the region to Turkey, still not working. I was using an existing account.

Tried chatting to Microsoft XBox Support, the CSR I chatted to insisted I should try an AU credit card and gave me the AU XBox Live Gold link.

I am going to try fresh account and VPN.

Thanks OP and others. I have contacted Microsoft support last night, and earlier this morning it is working and accepting my OlduBil credit card. I have to wait till after work this afternoon to complete all those Game Pass purchases, now showing 36 months of Game Pass Ultimate in my account. Has been a bit of long winding road to reach the final destination, but have to thanks OP for his great effort in the first place. Cheers.

      • does cloud gaming work for you on the browser?

        • Sorry I don't cloud gaming so I have no idea. Only gaming on my desktop PC.

      • @edfoo Thank you for your support! Enjoy your GPU sub :)

  • I got in contact with the MS support as mentioned earlier and he stated it is a problem with the bank:

    START CONVO
I get you. It can be confused with that, but it’s not a block from MS; I assure you. You can try adding another card just to test it out, and it’ll work. This error you’re getting happens only when your bank has a block on MS in relation to your card. It is entirely possible that another person that works with the same card has no issues adding his payment options.

This block is put by banks when there is a reporting regarding an unwanted charge or something of that sort.

So the bank puts the block so it doesn’t happen again

But, that’s not the only reason.

In India, for example, it’s just a regulation performed by banks widely in India that limit transactions with Microsoft.

A lot of people are impacted, but not all.

That’s why some have the problem and some do not
    END CONVO

Not sure what to do, I do not have a Xbos to change my region as some have pointed out.

  • Did region on XBOX console, is done now. Thanks>

Used main account, ive had for twenty years so hopes i dont lose it haha

  • +1

Working for me now just bought three months. Didn't have to region change

It works! How well I will sleep tonight after seeing I have game pass ultimate till mid 2026!!! This deal is simply crazy. Thanks @I smell Pennies for finding this! And I hope you enjoy your AirPods too haha

  • +3

So like a lot of others I had the same issue with adding the card. I don't have an xbox, so I had to go via the support route. I chatted with xbox support for a while who confirmed automatic block was applied. They summarised at the end:

"Just a quick recap, you contacted us today because you need assistance in purchasing Game Pass, however you can’t add your payment instrument on the account. Upon checking, it shows that there is a block on the account. What we did is we escalated the issue to our internal team to have the block lifted."

After ending the chat, I sat around for around an hour. Never got any follow up emails or anything of the sort. Eventually I tried to add the card again using the Beyoğlu address mentioned previously in these comments (which used to fail previously). Card was added successfully. I was then able to complete ISP's instructions and now have 36 months of XGPU. So good!

    • Thanks, i'll try my luck with support too.

    • +1

Thanks, just like you - I went back and used that address and to my surprise it added the card!

I didn't hear back from MS yet, but now it seems I'm able to move on to the next steps!

      Cheers

    • Just tried using that Beyoglu address but still not working :(
