Welcome to the ultimate guide of Xbox Game Pass subscriptions!

IMPORTANT UPDATE 26 JULY 2023:

OlduBil: "Transfers from foreign bank accounts to our bank accounts in Turkey are not possible".

  • OlduBil is no longer accepting deposits/transfers from foreign bank accounts. Please DO NOT make any transfers into OlduBil (i.e. your Türkiye Mastercard) until further notice!

  • If you already have the funds in OlduBil from a previous transfer, you are free to use it for anything. For those wanting to top up your Türkiye Mastercard, please DO NOT initiate any transfers into OlduBil from Wise or Revolut until I have a new update

  • This deal is expired and is effectively over at this point in time. Every transfer done is at your own risk!

18/07/23: OlduBil has increased their top-up fees to 9.3% (up from 6.25%) stating "Dear customer, our global operations cost increased due to high inflation rate in Turkish Lira. In order to continue the service we provide you we had to change our top-up commission to 9,3%. We appreciate your understanding and support."

Updates:

  • 26/06/23 11:40pm - Turkish Lira have crashed even more, so I've corrected all prices in this guide!
  • 26/06/23 11:40pm - Fixed the incorrect plan total amount, thanks to @6wolfy9
  • 27/06/23 1:30pm - Due to the sudden and large number of transfers from you guys, Wise is now giving a transfer date of 3rd July. Please avoid Wise if you can and go the Revolut route. I can confirm Revolut transfers are much faster within minutes (or hours at the latest). For those who have already initiated a transfer via Wise, feel free to cancel the transfer (or let it send anyway in case you want to buy cheap Turkey products and services or sign up to other cheap Turkey subs) and go to Revolut.
  • 28/06/23 1:00pm - Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer. - thanks to @netsurfer
  • 03/07/23 2:00am - Edited method, I'm so sorry for making all of you pay for an extra month for no reason for the 36 months plan. Please forgive me.
  • 04/07/23 6:30pm - Microsoft must have caught on, and are blocking OlduBil Virtual cards due to security issues (good fraud prevention). This is an easy fix, and THIS DEAL IS STILL WELL AND ALIVE! Here's what you need to do:
    • Log on microsoft, then go to Contact Us. Click "Contact us" to bring up the 'Contact us' window. For the first dropdown field "What are you having trouble with", select "Subscriptions and Billing". For the second dropdown field "What's the issue", select "I need help purchasing content". For the third field "Describe your issue", man up and say something. Click "Next" > "See contact options" > "Chat online" then you'll be connected with an agent instantly. Tell them you are not able to add your credit card and ask if there's a problem on your MS account. If they ask ridiculous questions, pretend it's all working fine and start a new chat.

Credits to @Scrooge McDeal, who suggested I make a guide on this awesome ALL TIME LOW deal! And you probably know me by now - if I make a guide, best believe it's gonna be good (let me know if someone else can do it better pls). Like Netflix and Disney Plus and literally every guide I've made, I spent a chunk of money out of generosity to test the current validity of this method (I tested transfers from Wise into OlduBil) as well as annotating screenshots throughout the sign-up process (see screenshots in the instructions section). From this testing, I believe this opens a new doorway to a variety of insane deals and prices we weren't able to previously obtain. Please show some love and any comments, concerns, suggestions or feedback are welcome :)

Modern problems require modern solutions. Like Youtube, Netflix, Discord, Google One, Microsoft 365, relocating (virtually of course) to Turkey is usually the best option, with some methods saving hundreds or thousands of dollars each year added up.

The processes below are very easy, just take it slow and you'll get there! Just remember you'll be saving hundreds at the end of the day. The 14 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan will cost ₺374,94 TL ($21.64 AUD, or $1.55/mth) and the 36 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan will cost ₺1034,72 TL ($59.68 AUD, or $1.66/mth). Note that despite the long term 36 month plan has a higher $/mth, it works out cheaper because if you signed up to 14 months, you'll be paying almost 3 times higher if you want to extend at the end of the 14th month.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • No VPN required
  • You must have no current subscriptions

Part 2a - Topping up your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard with Wise (App or Web)

Wise fee: ~A$2.13, OlduBil fee: 6.25% of transfer (~A$4.35 for a ₺1200 TL transfer)

Update: 28/06/23 1:00pm - **Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer.

  1. Log in or create an account on Wise. You can use the Wise website, or the Wise app on the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android).

  2. Top up Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Wise account (at least $30 AUD for the 14 month plan, $75 for the 36 month plan but no more than $160 because OlduBil allows a maximum deposit of ₺2750,00 TL ≈ A$160 per month). You can add Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Wise account via PayID (instant, no fee), POLi (instant, $1.18 AUD fee) or Manual Bank Transfer (business days only, no fee).

  3. Convert your Australian Dollars (AUD) to Turkish Lira (TRY). This conversion should be instant. To do this, click onto "Australian Dollar", then "Convert", then select AUD → TRY and type in the amount you wish to convert and press "continue" then "convert". Wise charges a 1.07% fee for AUD-TRY conversions.

  4. Send your newly converted Turkish Lira to your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard. To do this, click onto "Turkish Lira", then "Send", then select "Same currency". Enter the amount of Turkish Lira you wish to transfer (Note: Wise charges a ₺24.34 TL flat fee for a single transfer, so this fee will be added onto the amount you enter). Click "continue", then "New contact", then "Someone else". On this page, leave the "their email" box empty, and tick "I know their bank details". For the "Full name of the account holder" field, type in "TURK ELEKTRONIK PARA A.S." and for the "IBAN" field, type in the IBAN you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. Continue and in the "Review transfer details" section (see screenshot), double check everything is correct and then for the "Reference for TURK" field, you must type in your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard number (without spaces). Tick the confirmation box and then "Confirm and send". This transfer will only be initiated during normal Turkey business hours and takes around 10 minutes on Wise's end. My transfer took 2 hours to land into my OlduBil account.

Note: Make sure you only transfer the amount you actually need to pay for your subscription (add a few dollars extra in case due to currency fluctuations) because due to regulations, OlduBil does not allow withdrawals unless you originally signed up with a Turkey phone number.

Part 2b - Topping up your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard with Revolut (App only)

Revolut fee: ~A$1.79, OlduBil fee: 6.25% of transfer (~A$4.35 for a ₺1200 TL transfer)

Update: 28/06/23 1:00pm - **Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer.

  1. Download the Revolut app on the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) if you don't already have it installed.

  2. Open the app and log in or create an account (if you don't have it already).

  3. Top up Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Revolut account (at least $30 AUD for the 14 month plan, $75 for the 36 month plan but no more than $160 because OlduBil allows a maximum deposit of ₺2750,00 TL ≈ A$160 per month). You can add Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Revolut account via a debit/credit card (instant, no fee), Apple Pay (instant, no fee), Google Pay (instant, no fee) or Manual Bank Transfer (usually instant, no fee).

  4. Convert your Australian Dollars (AUD) to Turkish Lira (TRY). This conversion should be instant. To do this, select "Australian Dollar", then "Exchange", then select AUD → TRY and type in the amount you wish to convert and press "Review order" then "Sell AUD for TRY". Revolut charges no fee for currency conversions.

  5. Send your newly converted Turkish Lira to your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard. To do this, go to the buttom tabs of the app and click onto "Transfer", then "+ New" (top right corner), then select "Send International". Scroll down and select "Türkiye" as the destination. Enter the amount of Turkish Lira you wish to transfer (Note: Revolut charges a ₺30.15 TL flat fee for a single transfer, so this fee will be added onto the amount you enter). For the transer method, select "Bank Account" (this is probably default anyway). For the Reference field, you must type in your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard number (without spaces). Click "Continue", then on the "Who to pay" page, tap "+ New" (top right corner). Select the "Business" tab. For the IBAN field, type in the IBAN you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. For the BIC/SWIFT field, type in the BIC code you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. For the "Company name", type in "TURK ELEKTRONIK PARA A.S." and ignore the email field. Press "Add the recipient" then on the following page, enter the VakıfBank address (the one from Part 1 Step 3) and review the transfer and estimated arrival, then send it off to Turkey :))

    HELP POINT using Aktifbank: Screenshots of the process for step 5 in the following order: (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (9)

HELP POINT using VakıfBank: TBC but very similar to Aktifbank (just different bank information) see above screenshots for process

Note: Make sure you only transfer the amount you actually need to pay for your subscription (add a few dollars extra in case due to currency fluctuations) because due to regulations, OlduBil does not allow withdrawals unless you originally signed up with a Turkey phone number.

          • @ninjaboy123: I got the same but failed. It had saved the address from my first attempt back at the gold subs page… There is something odd going on

          • +1

@ninjaboy123: If it helps, my address was in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul and I also had address line 2 filled in (the street it randomly generated was long)

            • +1

@ninjaboy123: It worked!!! Thanks mate, must be that suburb/city. Look for an address on this post code 34295. I also filled the street in 2 parts using the address 2 field

              • @Vitorll: Are you using a brand new microsoft account or your usual one? I still cant get it to verify my payment details :(

                • @Crunchbite: Try using a brand new account - it wasn't working for me on existing one but worked when new account was created and payment details added beforehand

                • @Crunchbite: Usual one, that's odd…

      • Hey All,

Despite contact MS No-Help desk twice, I couldn't get this to work. What I did to get it working was to going into the Account management area and add a billing address first. I used:

Address 1: Ziya Gökalp Mahallesi Hürriyet
        Address 2: Bulvarı No:209/B İKİTELLİ
        Küçükçekmece
        Istanbul
        Turkey
        34306

You need to provide name and phone number and then when you go to add the Oldubil card, the name matches up and bingo. Other advantage is that then when you have logged out and log back in to Turkish site, cc is already pre-loaded, so click and start building your package. My kids have confirmed that our is working great now and showing expiry in 2026.

Huge thanks to @I Smell Pennies for all the work on the initial post and his assistance with helping out others.

Still nothing for now but hopefully soon
              thanks

  • +2

Money received through rev now to buy games pass

    • keep us updated on the validation of address

      • This is exactly what i was about to comment

      • Not sure what that is but I’m sure I’ll figure it out along the way

      • yeah cant crack it tried addreses all over the country looks like the (profanity) might have patched it

  • I received a message from Revolut that the transfer is successful at 130pm AEST but no $ in OlduBil till now, is that normal? That’s about 7 hours… Getting worried

    • Basically everyone is having that problem right now

    • same issue.. i had the message at the same time as you and nothing in Oldubil still…

    • Mine through wise has been over 3 hours when most people seem to have received theirs withing 2 hours of the email that said their transfer was successful.

Hard not to feel like I did something wrong along the way. Checked the information a bunch of times. Seems like I put everything correctly.

    • Same here. If by mid day tomorrow there's nothing I'll most likely be sending an email to them asking what's going on

    • The money I sent 27/06 @ 4:37pm hasn't arrived yet. -_-

      • My first transfer never arrived which was the bulk of the money, I transferred the rest a few minutes later which did arrive so yea, don't have anything to buy anything as the second lot was just 170lira…

    • The money I sent arrived just now (I sent it on 30/06)

    • Transferred on 6/27 using revolut, but still nothing on my Oldibul. Double checked all the numbers on the transaction, getting worried as well.

    • Same here transferred on 29th, Revolut says funds sent and received at 1:32 pm by Oldubil. I suppose we have to be patient, they're probably getting hammered.

Hopefully it clears by the 6th to lock in the cheap prices before the price rise.

      • Sent the same time as you and mine just arrived

  • +1

Anyone have a solution for the address issue when entering payment details?

    • I found a nice hotel in Ankara. You might have similar luck

      • whats the address? did it work?

For those having issues with entering their card details, I had the same error message pop up when entering the card details and address when purchasing 3 months, so I entered my payment details via my Microsoft account on a PC (click on the account icon on the top right then go to payment methods and enter your details, the Turkish address I tried using previously when I got the error message was already on there) then had no issues buying 3 months.

    • Have tried this and unfortunately get the same error

      • Me too… I'm wondering whether the address needs to be in a certain province to work?

        • I'm using a randomly generated address in Fatih, Istanbul if that helps.

      • That's weird that it would work for me but not for you. I'm using a brand new Microsoft account, just bought the 2nd lot of 3 months of Gold, here's a screenshot https://ibb.co/FJnC5CP

Maybe make sure you have the right post code? That's the only thing I can think of.

  • I got mine working. Could be my email address, I had made a new email address to register with and used that for oldubil also. Then read it doesnt affect your main account so Ive been trying with that. Now when I log into my new outlook account I can add the payment with any address.

OK so going off what here2help said, it may not matter what email you registered with, just need a new MS account and not use your old one with existing payment details

    • I made a new one and same problem

      • Oh well I'm not sure then, but mine is added into my new MS which I used to register Odubil with (even though I changed the email address in the app to my main one).

Saying that I cant even buy because I transfer money twice but my first transfer never came through, only my second transfer….

Maybe its worth changing the email in the app to your new account and try again tomorrow?

Well, on the incorrect card problem - it finally worked for me when I created a new MS account and added payment information first before heading to buy 3 month subscription. Adding payment method to an existing account on same address which worked was not working for me (no address was working infact).

        Try if this helps.

        • Yep, i made a new account Using a VPN to turkey (Probably not required) Signed that account into Xbox and through that updated payment information, it accepted.

          • @Tehcookiemonsta: any way to link that to your other account i dont want to lose all my savegames if i make a new acc

            • @bob98: Are you on console? You won't lose access because all you need is one account on the console to have an active Gamepass sub and then every other account on the console will also gain access to Gamepass games and online play etc, so you can just keep using your normal account. The only things you'll probably lose access to are previous monthly Games with Gold titles that were redeemed on your previous account, though I'm not 100% sure about this, and also not sure if perks can be redeemed or not on other accounts on the console (though the perks mostly suck anyway so no big loss).

          • @Tehcookiemonsta: Did you make the account for Turkey as the Country?

            • @Pejamas: Yep, Connected to a vpn to Turkiye.

Opened a new Outlook, and used that in Xbox PC. Then i logged logged into the website with that account, added the card, and started the process.

I used the EXACT same address on my main account and it said the account information on the card is wrong, so think you might have to open a new account.

I'm getting any error saying "Check the information you entered. It does not match the card's information." when trying to add payment method using the oldubil virtual card…

    • Seeing the same error appear as well following the first steps for 36 Months.

  • Seems to work if you put the card in your Account Payment Methods first instead of going straight to the page to buy.

cant get it working think ive tried at least 20 addreses deleted all my payment methods. not sure what else to do

    • +1

You and me both. Tried making a new MS account and still not working either…

  • I have tried also but it will not accept the credit card no matter where I enter the details or what details I use.

  • Same issue as most above, wont accept my card with any address. Sigh.

  • @I Smell Pennies Got it working now. Thanks for the write up, really appreciate it. Cracker of a deal!

  • I am having the address problem as well. Removed all addresses and payment methods, but it didn't work. Created a new account didn't work either.
For the ones that succeeded, what City , Suburb, post code did you use?

    • I used somewhere in Başakşehir, Istanbul

    • +3

I don't know why the people that got it to "work" are being so secretive with the address they used.

      • +5

Mine is below. I changed the numbers as not sure if Microsoft will flag if same address being used too many time? The 2nd I went back in, it asked to confirm my address and gave a few suggestions, I randomly selected the 1st one.

Address 1: Ziya Gökalp Mahallesi Hürriyet
        Address 2: Bulvarı No:209/B İKİTELLİ
        Küçükçekmece

doesnt work either its a glith or there patching it :( thankyou for sharing though

        • +1

I tried this address but changed the number. Didnt work. :(

        • +1

Absolute champ. Thanks for this. While it did not work, this basically confirms there's some flag or setting on my account that has restricted it, not the address. Out of curiosity, does anyone else who it doesn't work for have family settings enabled, and family accounts linked?

          • @Michael15286: I'm thinking it's more based on the OlduBil card details mismatching or something along those lines. Tried different accounts and even a new MS account and still didn't work.

          • @Michael15286: I, too, have family settings and members enabled and linked. It does not work for me so far with all the different suggestions and all that.

          • +1

@Michael15286: no i had an account i hadn't used before and used that email address… same issue

          • +1

@Michael15286: I apparently have a family account linked, trying to remove/delete it now. Not optimistic though.

        • Thanks for sharing, didn't work though, for me. lmao

        • Tried this one by changing the number, but no luck.
          Thank you anyway.
          I will try again tomorrow.

        • Tried the exact same details on another email address and didn't work. So really not sure what's the missing link. Thought maybe the address would be somehow tied to my address?

      • Not being secretive personally don't think it has anything to do with the address, tried the same address on my main account it didn't work.

After opening a new outlook account based in turkey, i logged into Xbox PC with it. Then added card information through the website. Then purchased.

Tried it on my main account and the exact same address does not work.

        Address i used

        Address: Gümüşsuyu, Osmanlı Sk. No:1
        City: Beyoğlu/
        State: Istanbul,
        Postcode: 34437
        Türkiye

about to punch my screen why can some people do it so easily

  • I will just try again tomorrow I guess. Hopefully it's just a glitch.

    • Yea seems just bugged, hit and miss at the moment.

    • Yeah, wondering if OlduBil is having problems updating the balance is the MasterCard System or something like that and that's what the delay is. Lo of people getting balances cleared today!

I send an in app message to OlduBili earlier today when the money had not been transferred onto my card and they replied within an hour via email (Check spam folder) and the money was there.

I then sent a message asking for the address for the card as I could not make an online payment using the information I had. google translated the message to Turkish in hope that that would speed things up. No response yet.

    • It seems to have been resolved now. I can add the card to my main account.

      • Yep I can also add it too!

  • Anyone else stuck at step 5 (Repeat step 4 eleven more times)? I only get the button to go to manage subscription and auto-renew is turned off

    • +1

Look below that section on the manage sub page. Because it's PC it's listed separately.

you genius! could kiss your brain

  • -3

Indeed after checking your Microsoft Account, there seems to be a small blockage with the billing account, it was temporary locked for security measures, and will need an escalation to the internal billing team to be resolved.

    • -1

Is this what microsoft told you are you just assuming thats what has happened?

    • update got my 36 months of gamespass

      https://imgur.com/a/HzapGiC

  • -2

Rest assured the escalation does not take very long, only a couple of hours and you billing account will be reactivated for sure.

go to bed lads well hit this again in the morning

    • This comment is bs. I can re-add my normal CC details back to my account just fine but adding the Oldubil details fails. Don't listen to this troll

      • -1

whatever mate this is direct from Microsoft support if you all had more than half a brain cell you'd realise it was written by them. hope all your accs stay blocked till the 7th

  • Can it be us having issues that haven’t got the Oldubil account verified? Just created it last week. First time using it. All the money is across now from last weeks transfer.
Created new ms using vpn. Cannot get past the “Check the info that you entered. It doesn’t match the info on this card

    • I am also having the same issue. I have tried several addresses and post codes.

@I Smell Pennies, what do you mean by "You must have no current subscriptions"? I have an active MS365 subscription. Is this an issue?

      • @spasto no current Game Pass subscriptions. No issues for you.

        • +1

Unfortunately, I can't get past the payment page as it kept rejecting the info I'm using.

The message is "Cannot get past the “Check the info that you entered. It doesn’t match the info on this card".
