Welcome to the ultimate guide of Xbox Game Pass subscriptions!

IMPORTANT UPDATE 26 JULY 2023:

OlduBil: "Transfers from foreign bank accounts to our bank accounts in Turkey are not possible".

  • OlduBil is no longer accepting deposits/transfers from foreign bank accounts. Please DO NOT make any transfers into OlduBil (i.e. your Türkiye Mastercard) until further notice!

  • If you already have the funds in OlduBil from a previous transfer, you are free to use it for anything. For those wanting to top up your Türkiye Mastercard, please DO NOT initiate any transfers into OlduBil from Wise or Revolut until I have a new update

  • This deal is expired and is effectively over at this point in time. Every transfer done is at your own risk!

18/07/23: OlduBil has increased their top-up fees to 9.3% (up from 6.25%) stating "Dear customer, our global operations cost increased due to high inflation rate in Turkish Lira. In order to continue the service we provide you we had to change our top-up commission to 9,3%. We appreciate your understanding and support."

Updates:

  • 26/06/23 11:40pm - Turkish Lira have crashed even more, so I've corrected all prices in this guide!
  • 26/06/23 11:40pm - Fixed the incorrect plan total amount, thanks to @6wolfy9
  • 27/06/23 1:30pm - Due to the sudden and large number of transfers from you guys, Wise is now giving a transfer date of 3rd July. Please avoid Wise if you can and go the Revolut route. I can confirm Revolut transfers are much faster within minutes (or hours at the latest). For those who have already initiated a transfer via Wise, feel free to cancel the transfer (or let it send anyway in case you want to buy cheap Turkey products and services or sign up to other cheap Turkey subs) and go to Revolut.
  • 28/06/23 1:00pm - Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer. - thanks to @netsurfer
  • 03/07/23 2:00am - Edited method, I'm so sorry for making all of you pay for an extra month for no reason for the 36 months plan. Please forgive me.
  • 04/07/23 6:30pm - Microsoft must have caught on, and are blocking OlduBil Virtual cards due to security issues (good fraud prevention). This is an easy fix, and THIS DEAL IS STILL WELL AND ALIVE! Here's what you need to do:
    • Log on microsoft, then go to Contact Us. Click "Contact us" to bring up the 'Contact us' window. For the first dropdown field "What are you having trouble with", select "Subscriptions and Billing". For the second dropdown field "What's the issue", select "I need help purchasing content". For the third field "Describe your issue", man up and say something. Click "Next" > "See contact options" > "Chat online" then you'll be connected with an agent instantly. Tell them you are not able to add your credit card and ask if there's a problem on your MS account. If they ask ridiculous questions, pretend it's all working fine and start a new chat.

Credits to @Scrooge McDeal, who suggested I make a guide on this awesome ALL TIME LOW deal! And you probably know me by now - if I make a guide, best believe it's gonna be good (let me know if someone else can do it better pls). Like Netflix and Disney Plus and literally every guide I've made, I spent a chunk of money out of generosity to test the current validity of this method (I tested transfers from Wise into OlduBil) as well as annotating screenshots throughout the sign-up process (see screenshots in the instructions section). From this testing, I believe this opens a new doorway to a variety of insane deals and prices we weren't able to previously obtain. Please show some love and any comments, concerns, suggestions or feedback are welcome :)

Modern problems require modern solutions. Like Youtube, Netflix, Discord, Google One, Microsoft 365, relocating (virtually of course) to Turkey is usually the best option, with some methods saving hundreds or thousands of dollars each year added up.

The processes below are very easy, just take it slow and you'll get there! Just remember you'll be saving hundreds at the end of the day. The 14 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan will cost ₺374,94 TL ($21.64 AUD, or $1.55/mth) and the 36 month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan will cost ₺1034,72 TL ($59.68 AUD, or $1.66/mth). Note that despite the long term 36 month plan has a higher $/mth, it works out cheaper because if you signed up to 14 months, you'll be paying almost 3 times higher if you want to extend at the end of the 14th month.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • No VPN required
  • You must have no current subscriptions

Part 2a - Topping up your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard with Wise (App or Web)

Wise fee: ~A$2.13, OlduBil fee: 6.25% of transfer (~A$4.35 for a ₺1200 TL transfer)

Update: 28/06/23 1:00pm - **Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer.

  1. Log in or create an account on Wise. You can use the Wise website, or the Wise app on the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android).

  2. Top up Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Wise account (at least $30 AUD for the 14 month plan, $75 for the 36 month plan but no more than $160 because OlduBil allows a maximum deposit of ₺2750,00 TL ≈ A$160 per month). You can add Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Wise account via PayID (instant, no fee), POLi (instant, $1.18 AUD fee) or Manual Bank Transfer (business days only, no fee).

  3. Convert your Australian Dollars (AUD) to Turkish Lira (TRY). This conversion should be instant. To do this, click onto "Australian Dollar", then "Convert", then select AUD → TRY and type in the amount you wish to convert and press "continue" then "convert". Wise charges a 1.07% fee for AUD-TRY conversions.

  4. Send your newly converted Turkish Lira to your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard. To do this, click onto "Turkish Lira", then "Send", then select "Same currency". Enter the amount of Turkish Lira you wish to transfer (Note: Wise charges a ₺24.34 TL flat fee for a single transfer, so this fee will be added onto the amount you enter). Click "continue", then "New contact", then "Someone else". On this page, leave the "their email" box empty, and tick "I know their bank details". For the "Full name of the account holder" field, type in "TURK ELEKTRONIK PARA A.S." and for the "IBAN" field, type in the IBAN you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. Continue and in the "Review transfer details" section (see screenshot), double check everything is correct and then for the "Reference for TURK" field, you must type in your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard number (without spaces). Tick the confirmation box and then "Confirm and send". This transfer will only be initiated during normal Turkey business hours and takes around 10 minutes on Wise's end. My transfer took 2 hours to land into my OlduBil account.

Note: Make sure you only transfer the amount you actually need to pay for your subscription (add a few dollars extra in case due to currency fluctuations) because due to regulations, OlduBil does not allow withdrawals unless you originally signed up with a Turkey phone number.

Part 2b - Topping up your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard with Revolut (App only)

Revolut fee: ~A$1.79, OlduBil fee: 6.25% of transfer (~A$4.35 for a ₺1200 TL transfer)

Update: 28/06/23 1:00pm - **Due to a public holiday in Turkey from 27 June to 1st July (Kurban Bayrami Holiday), all transfers are delayed until Monday 3rd July. Please keep this in mind when making a transfer.

  1. Download the Revolut app on the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) if you don't already have it installed.

  2. Open the app and log in or create an account (if you don't have it already).

  3. Top up Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Revolut account (at least $30 AUD for the 14 month plan, $75 for the 36 month plan but no more than $160 because OlduBil allows a maximum deposit of ₺2750,00 TL ≈ A$160 per month). You can add Australian Dollars (AUD) into your Revolut account via a debit/credit card (instant, no fee), Apple Pay (instant, no fee), Google Pay (instant, no fee) or Manual Bank Transfer (usually instant, no fee).

  4. Convert your Australian Dollars (AUD) to Turkish Lira (TRY). This conversion should be instant. To do this, select "Australian Dollar", then "Exchange", then select AUD → TRY and type in the amount you wish to convert and press "Review order" then "Sell AUD for TRY". Revolut charges no fee for currency conversions.

  5. Send your newly converted Turkish Lira to your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard. To do this, go to the buttom tabs of the app and click onto "Transfer", then "+ New" (top right corner), then select "Send International". Scroll down and select "Türkiye" as the destination. Enter the amount of Turkish Lira you wish to transfer (Note: Revolut charges a ₺30.15 TL flat fee for a single transfer, so this fee will be added onto the amount you enter). For the transer method, select "Bank Account" (this is probably default anyway). For the Reference field, you must type in your OlduBil Virtual Turkish Mastercard number (without spaces). Click "Continue", then on the "Who to pay" page, tap "+ New" (top right corner). Select the "Business" tab. For the IBAN field, type in the IBAN you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. For the BIC/SWIFT field, type in the BIC code you wrote down in Part 1 Step 3 ~~. For the "Company name", type in "TURK ELEKTRONIK PARA A.S." and ignore the email field. Press "Add the recipient" then on the following page, enter the VakıfBank address (the one from Part 1 Step 3) and review the transfer and estimated arrival, then send it off to Turkey :))

HELP POINT using VakıfBank: TBC but very similar to Aktifbank (just different bank information) see above screenshots for process

Note: Make sure you only transfer the amount you actually need to pay for your subscription (add a few dollars extra in case due to currency fluctuations) because due to regulations, OlduBil does not allow withdrawals unless you originally signed up with a Turkey phone number.

ISP, Lord of Deals. What a fantastic write up and method.
Confirming that all of this process is still working and just fine.
If you are having issues with the language, just try searching a word or two on the confirmation buttons and you should be able to determine where to go from there.
    Happy Gaming all!

  • Update from this guy:
    Transfer went through midday yesterday.
    Funds settled on OlduBil overnight.
Went through the processes in the last hour.
Account is set up and working. Currently downloading games.

    Note:
I used my own account. Tried to make a throwaway, but the Microsoft email security where you have to change the angle of the images hated me and made me keep doing it. Gave up after 5 minutes and just used my own account, (no subs for 365 or one drive FYI.)

    Thanks you legend!

  • Having some trouble here… I purchased the first 3 month subscription… then clicked on 'subscription management' from this page to turn of auto-renew, once that is done, I try to buy my second 3 month sub… and it only ever links back to the 'subscription management' page… I can never get to buy another 3 month sub :(
What may I be doing wrong?

    • Are you clicking the green button? You might have to click the grey one to the right of the green button that has '3' somewhere in the wording. I assume the green button changes once you have an active subscription.

      • yep, tried everything. Always clicking through link on this page, tried reselecting '3 ay' (months) and green button…when I translate page to english, the button itself says 'subscription management'… on one try it did say 'buy', but when clicked it redirects many iterations in the url bar and eventually ends up at the 'subscription management' page again :'(

Am I getting blocked on purpose?

        • might be a silly question but i have to ask. After you clicked turn off recurring billing in the subscription management page, when the next page loaded did you then scroll to the bottom and hit the blue button to turn off recurring billing? it needs to be off or else you wont be able to keep adding the extra months.

    • Hey mate, close the whole window and open it again through the linked one in this guide. Make sure you do this the correct amount of times, (4,) including the first time.

"Part 3 - Paying for 14 Months of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription (₺374,94 TL)
Summary: Purchase 4x 3 Month Xbox Live Gold subscription"

      Click that link :)

      • no luck… not matter what I do, even in private tab and always using this link from this page, the green button will either show 'buy' or 'subscription management'… it will alway redirect me the sub management page :(

I reckon there is speed of purchase blocker of some sort.
I'm saw the same thing after buying 2x 3-months (first step). But I was able to proceed about 3 minutes later.
And I've just hit it a second time after buying the first PC pass.

      • Whoops, I was trying to cancel auto-renew on xbox GP, not PC GP. Back underway now.

      • +2

deffintley not i speed ran mine last night before bed and didnt have 1 single problem

    • I got in touch with customer support and was advised there was a lock placed on the account to avoid 'multiple duplicate charges to your account'… :|
to get it fix, it will take 24-72 hours :(

      • +1

Had same problem, tried it an hour later after contacting customer service and it worked.

        • Thanks for the confirmation… thought I was dead in the water for a while there. I'll give it another go in a few more hours after work, cheers

      • Hey mate, I am having the same problem. I tried contacting Microsoft customer support but they just said that it wasn’t working because my Microsoft account is an AU account but I’m trying to buy a Turkish membership. Do I just keep trying customer support until I find someone who will unblock the card or will it unblock by itself after 2 days?

    • Using the top nav bar did the trick!!!
One tip I suggest to anyone else having this issue > when you select the plan from the top nav bar - 'let the page fully load' (meaning images also) before clicking buy.
      I had 100% success

Thank you! It worked perfectly. The transfer from Revolt(requested at 10:00am Monday 3rd, then processed by revolt around 1:00pm) to OlduBil didn't happen until that night(about 18 hours), not sure if it had to do with the Turkish public holiday, or if that is the standard time frame for the transfer.

  • How much does everyone else have left in there account? After $75 I have 151,25=11.48 AUD.

    • Sent $75 into Wise on the 27th June. 119,32 left in OldBill.

      36 months of GPU.

      • How long for it to get from Wise to OldBil? I transferred last night 3rd July at 10pm and still not in OldBil

        • It look almost a week, but Türkiye had a number of public holidays which seemed to slow everything down.

    • I did 14months and have around 64 left

    • Thanks for making me think about this. I was able to use the 1 month deal 2 more times to get some more months on my account!

    • 13,41 lol I cut it too close

      • How much did you send in? I might have cut it close as well…

    • Do you know I have had XGPU for two years and completely forgot about the free Gold games. Never claimed it once.
Well wont make that mistake moving forwards into the next three years of XGPU.

Yes, it's cheaper than purchasing the PC gamepass for 13months + ultimate or 14 months directly.

  • If you have left over money and want more Gamepass:
    1. Click on the 1 month Gamepass Ultimate link provided by ISP.
    2. Change languge to English, (when I do this on original Trukish language it always goes to subscription page and skips the deal.)
    3. Click, "Join now."
    4. Click, "forward."
You will be able to buy individual months of Gamepass Ultimate.

For me I had 126 lira left, so I got another 2 months. Was just shy of 44 for another month. Could easily add that through revolut and oldubil now though, there's still 2 days left.
It wouldn't let me choose anything else, such as a 3 month sub.
Sorry if there's a better way/deal with leftover money, but this is just a way I found. Didn't work at all until I changed to English.

    • Wait so you have 38 months? How many months can you extend it 🤔

      • I had the 'you have a subscription from another region' error. But I was able to add an additional month of Ultimate when I went back to the turkish link

        • Is this for 14 month or 36 months? Because officially it is 36. When does yours expire?

          • @quill: Yeah it won't let me extend past 36 months.

            • @b3au: Yeah I think they on 14months unless they can prove otherwise. Oh well. Games are very cheap on Xbox turkey and I have cloud gaming so good enough for me.

              • @quill: I'm on 14 months. So Now I have 16 months with my leftover lira, getting the Gamepass Ultimate 1 Month deal via the link provided by ISP.
I can't really tell if you're trying to call me out, or just hoping I can tell you a way to get more months. I was just reminding people to actually check their leftover lira in OlduBil incase they've got some squeeze room for an extra month or two. I almost got 3 extra months, even after all the fees.

                • +1

@DatCrazyNerf: Didn't mean to call you out. Just that a lot of people including myself got the 36 months and wanted to know if it was possible to spend more considering the 36 month hard cap. Hell, even for the 36 month you only needed to buy 35 month worth as gamepass ultimate gives you extra month.

Still have not received the money in oldubill from Wise eventhough Wise indicated it was already transferred.. I followed the steps to the T (put my correct card number on the references when transferred) , and waited for the holidays to be over. I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones.

    • IMO wait a little more. I didn't have stuff happening on OlduBil until early this morning, but the transfer fully went through yesterday at midday.

If you've got the extra cash, dip over to Revolut and use that real quick. Might get through quicker/have more money to spend on these deals.

      • feels bad that i still have not received anything as of yet. Might try doing it again via revolut but feels like I don't have enough time for it. just unlucky i guess..

    • Same.
I went through the steps last Monday night using Revolut and still nothing.
Not going to throw more money away by using different way either. Should've only done $5 first to see if it worked.
Pity, this looked the goods and would've been great

  • Just transferred from Revolut approx 10am 04/07/2023. Will update once OlduBil receives the cash

    • +1

Hopefully it comes through by tonight!

      • Worst case I’ll just use it on Disney+ or something

        • Can we also use our Lira on OlduBil card to subscribe Netflix or other streaming services?

  • All done thanks ISP, and all for sharing comments.
Using Revolut. Transferred to Oldubil about 5pm last night, funds appeared on Oldubil about 2h later.

    • I had 1 month left, used chat support to cancel it last night
    • Worked through purchases this morning. Had some issue after the first 2x 3-month passes where it wouldn't let me buy more and the link just keep refreshing to my microsoft account page, but a few minutes later that stopped happening (unsure cause or solution). Took about 25 minutes to work through the purchases, microsoft account page can be a bit slow to load (for cancel auto-renew billing).
  • 14 months worked, wish i had of went for 36. Thanks OP

  • I received ₺984,37 to oldubil last night. This is ₺50.35 short of the required ₺1034,72

Can I still do Part 4 of the deal but purchase 2 less of the 1 Month subscriptions?

I assume that when I get to the Part 4 (step 7) that I'll end up with 34 months of Xbox Games Pass Ultimate instead of 36 months?

If anyone in a similar situation can advise it would be appreciated. Thank you

    • 74.99×4+21×29.99+49.9= 979.74 3*4+21+1=34 months. Sounds about right. How much did you send AUD wise?

      • Yes, via wise on 27 June. Took forever so not keen to send that way again

        • I mean how much? I put 75 through revolut at start and finished with 11ish at oldbuil.

          • @quill: First - sent 70AUD to wise which was converted to ₺1199.41

Second - sent ₺1,074.34 to oldubil which was ₺1,050 after fee

But what finally hit my oldubil was ₺984,37

            • @outsideworld: $75>1296,20>1265,03-79,06=1185,97-1034,72=151,25=$11.50

              • @quill: Thanks for your help quill. Success! Got 1x 34 months setup

  • No matter what I tried I couldn't add the card to my Regular account, all worked fine using a newly created account and gamepass works fine from my main account so I'm very happy it all worked in the end.

  • All done! finally.
Got 1x 36 months setup and 1x 14 month setup for a mate.

    • Also got it working last night. Took a while.
How did you put that on a mates one? Thinking of using leftover to my son for 14months. Same card? Same process again?

  • I can't purchase the Game Pass for PC or Console - each link just offers me a link to manage subscription.

I have no active subs except for the 12 months gold from the previous step.

    Any ideas?

    • Did you turn off renewal?
Then close the tab and open it via the link provided by ISP.

      • Yeah, all those steps completed.

        • Fresh email/account, or your old one?
I just used my actual account and I just had to close tabs and open via link to get the deals offered.

          • @DatCrazyNerf: It is my existing account. I haven't had such luck :(

Unsure why as no active subs etc.

            • @JackX50: @I Smell Pennies - did you have to change region of your Microsoft or Xbox accounts?

I contacted support after incurring the above and was told there was a mismatch and would have to align to purchase. Thoughts?

            • @JackX50: Not sure. I didn't even change my region etc.

    • Turn off auto renewal each time and then refresh the purchasing page each time after turning off renewal. You must turn off auto renew for it to show the option to purchase another month after refreshing that page.

      • I haven't been able to purchase a single instance of the Game Pass for PC.

Have turned off auto-renew for the Gold.

Feeling cursed as not seeming possible for me for some reason.

        • Auto renewal turned off for each instance of gold?
Did you use the link provided to purchase game pass for pc?

    • +1

Click on the link on top and purchase through there instead

      • +1

Thank you for this suggestion! Was the eventual saviour to the process for me.

It had nothing to do with not having managed the other subscriptions to make sure auto-renew was off. Funnily, when seeking some support on the issue, I was initially told that an account can't have 2 or more subscriptions at a time and I would need to upgrade to Ultimate.

I think I had an issue due to having an Ultimate subscrition earlier this year that ran on auto-renew, so the website was configuring to manage my sub as I had in the past, rather than offer the link to purchase monthly pre-paids.

Thanks again to @I Smell Pennies and @igoforthebest.

    • +1

Go to subscriptions, all the steps are for DIFFERENT subscriptions(gold, pc, console, ultimate), which THEN get combined at the end(ultimate)

If you turned off auto renewal on Gold, you will then need to cancel auto renewal for PC or CONSOLE also.

Check the top if on desktop, you can click on different subscriptions to edit.

You are most likely trying to edit Gold which you already did, now find PC or whatever you're up too. You can't buy if you have auto renew on.

I had same issue. Took me 10 mins to figure out what was wrong.

Fingers crossed to me. Just sent funds via Revolut. Appreciate the writeup OP. This post belongs in a hall of fame.

Like @mexpirate mentioned above - support ISP:

Click on his profile and buy him a coffee - he has saved everyone here thousands, really is the least we can do: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/ismellpennies

      Done! thanks for sharing.

Thanks OP, I topped up 15months. For those wondering, you can do any combination. (did 13 months gold, 2 months pc game pass and 1 month ultimate).

Now waiting on some more funds to come through to buy hogwwarts legacy and then to do the spotify deal! Don't know if I want to risk the biscuit with google one, the stakes are a bit higher with losing access for on on that one!

    • Isn't the 16 months? Ultimate counts as 1 extra month.

      • bonus!

Thanks! Just signed up for the 3 year, instructions were perfect! A+++++

    • What did you use to fund Oldubil ?

      • Revolut, showed up in Oldubil the next day (about 16 hours later)

        • I sent money via revolut to oldubil on 27th.

Revolut shows bank received it 3rd July.

Still not showing in Oldubil :/

          • @Frangen: Thanks, money turned up exactly 24hrs later in Oldubil using Wise

  • Anyone have any tricks on sharing the xbox pass with other family members in the house? Looking to load onto 2 kids PC's with their own accounts if possible.

    • +1

You just have to sign into the windows store on the PC with the main account, then sign into the xbox account you want to use on the xbox app. You'll get a mismatch pop at the bottom each time you open the xbox app that you can ignore but all works fine. You cant use cloud gaming though.

      • Yes, I've done exactly that.
It worked on one of the PC's but not the other.
One of them shows as having Ultimate sub but the other doesn't.
Wasn't sure if there were any other tricks?

  • I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but you can continue to renew Ultimate monthly multiple times for ₺44,99 after you've completed the 14 or 36 months subscription steps.

    • Its going to triple to 120.99 TL in a 2 days

      • Yes, hence why i mentioned subscribing for ₺44,99 before prices go up.

    • +2

I think it's for anything under 36 months. The others mentioning had 14.

      • Yes, I continued monthly subscriptions after completing 14 month Ultimate steps.

        • +1

Btw are you able to use Cloud gaming on your phone?

          • @quill: I've actually never used XBox GamePass before! I've just subscribed to use it on my new AYANEO Air Plus that I've purchased recently.

          • +1

@quill: Cloud gaming does work after signing up for this. Briefly tested it last night, lag/latency wasn't to bad.

            • @Chas k: I was surprised it actually works from my phone's Chrome browser. Selected Banjo-Kazooie and almost fell off my chair when the intro animation began!

    • @Ranagade I thought the max of GPU you can have is 36 months?

      • I didnt know. I just kept renewing GPU until I ran out of funds in my OlduBil account!
