      • Not quite :)

        • Where is

          • +1

@capslock janitor: I've yet to see someone buy more than I did in the last instore deal.

            400+

            • @mrfuku: Wow, hard to beat. It's impressive that you found stock and got around the purchase limit

              • +1

@trixieb: Had one other person helping me wouldn't have been possible just by myself.

Was able to use around $10k of preezee Coles vouchers to buy them, got in just before they closed that loop

            • @mrfuku: Nah I know of someone who did 500+ via inception method. Made $10k. Those were the days.

            • @mrfuku: how do you get rid of them all?

    • Very hard to beleive.

Firstly, it needs 27 attempts if were even buying 10 cards per order. Bank will likely flag and block the card. These people will also flsg the account and may block it.

Will be keen to understand how did you do it?

      • +1

I'm not saying how much I bought, but it is substantial, and the bank did not block my card.

Each bank does fraud monitoring differently.

Maybe they did block the card, but after enquiry with the cardholder, unblocked it.

Maybe they didn't block it at all.

        • Just to add—I didn't experience any 'previously used cards' or any other type of fraud.

The gift cards are all used now. I won't be having any bills to pay for quite some time to come 🤑

      • +1

Amex for one will allow such transactions on their credit cards to go through within the credit limit. Charge cards might be another story.

As long as you have enough supplementary cards, you can easily fake as new customers and do 2 transactions on each card each day.

        • +2

As long as you have enough supplementary cards, you can easily fake as new customers and do 2 transactions on each card each day.

All of my purchases were made via the same PC, same browser, same email, same address details, same mobile number, same internet connection.

Perhaps the lots different details people were entering was the cause of the Coles fraud block. I have never seen so many weird tactics employed by people in this thread to place orders.

          • +1

@YesPleaseThankYou: How many have you bought? So far I was unable to buy 3 sets in a single day with identical details. Had to change to a fresh set of details to buy more.

      • +1

Pretty unlikely any bank will flag or block your card and then you can just call them up and get it unblocked anyway.

        • St George blocked not only my card but the whole account on Friday night. Since then I've been trying to reach them, but it's impossible to get through, no one is picking up. Spent more than 5 hours on hold during multiple calls already. So it is very likely to be blocked.

          • @beesider: That's super strange. I have purchased tonnes of gift cards and done ridiculous amounts of manufactured spend without any bank caring.

            • +1

@Aureus: Eventually got through to St George bank fraud team. They said "it's strange to buy gift cards in big numbers" and "it's not normal", hence the full block on my account and need to come into the branch to verify my identity for the 3rd time in a month. St George definitely cares, and not in a good way. If it wasn't for them, I would've bought much more gift cards :(

              • +3

@beesider: Time to switch banks I reckon.

                • @t25: Always been a S-hit bank,
Slow to implement anything unless in their favour.

                  • @snappy1234: Give ya a tip, don't go with Westpac either. They might see themselves as better than St George but it is equally as cr@p.

        • I only bought 3 as didn't want to risk hacking, but HSBC sent me a text message to verify the purchase and unblocked account after verification (via sms).

      • I did 20 with same the same charge card. Just changed the email address and used all of them. Was a bit nervous as it’s a lot of money
Hoping they can bring the deal back

        • 20 orders of 10 cards. Or 20 cards total?

          • +1

@rokufan: 100% 20 orders. $5000 is pretty negligible for charge cards. 20 orders is a bit of gambling though. I would just use credit cards instead. Btw this round there is 3x pts on plat edge cards.

    • For actual bills?

  • +1

I call it the deal of the universe because if you added everyone's net profit .
It would eclipse the previous best .

  • +1

hope they bring back another similar deal soon. 22 pages of comments lezzgooo.. what was muzeebs record on the dell?

  • Haha, they made the decision for me as I would be tempted to buy another lot which I don't need.

  • +3

Managed to buy 5x10 $250 worth, $12500 worth 😁 tax bill sorted

  • Not for everyone but if you need Airbnb gift card and have access to brightwater reward gateway, you can purchase airbnb gift card for 5% off using this Coles Digital master card. I have purchase $263 and left 15 cents in the Digital Coles master card. Hope this help who have access to the reward gateway website and need Airbnb gift card. Good luck all.

  • What's the best way to cash them out ? If you don't have any bills to pay ?

  • +4

I bought $12,500 worth and was still clicking in here checking if I can get another lot! Just clicked through all 50 of them checking they're all spent as I hadn't kept track. $935 saved, thanks OP!

    • What did you spend them on?

Hopefully all of them are actually spent by you.

      • Yeah all spent by me lol. Paid a few different bills ahead, bought gift cards, pre-paid my tax bill.

  • +1

    need this deal back sheesh

  • +1

Shame it is over. Was going to get some more tonight.
Nothing lost (just didn't get another chance to gain)

    • amen brother

  • +2

If it has bigger denominations like 500 or 1,000 will be better

    • Yeah that would be great! I could pay off more bills easier.

    • +2

Yep, that would be great. To use with merchants who don't allow split payments. Rego, some insurance,…

    • -1

Coles does $500 but has never offered like $50 ones.

      • +1

Since when did Coles sell a $500 denomination of Coles Mastercard gift cards?

        • +1

Memory bad.. it was $400 vanilla visa

  • Read through 22 pages.

Cash out method is IG or PayPal need to open account to be ready for next offer 😬

Did I miss any method above?

    • IG?

      • Share trading platform

        • -1

          Oh reallym IG markets?

          Thats an easy cashout!

          Has someone done it successfully?

          • +1

            @jecec: Lol it doesn't work .
The method will never be put on a public forum.

            • +1

              @lostgoat: I'm confused now.

            • @lostgoat: Defs works, was able to cash about $4k worth, of gift cards for just under $260 profit; nothing amazing but not bad for 45 mins of work.

Wouldn’t recommend abusing it too much as your account could probs get flagged.

              • @Bigboy97: I just tried. IG returned an error but the payment was taken from the card and there is no record in Paypal. The payment of $250 is appearing as pending on the card.

                Any idea what happened?

                • @Ash-Say: Never had any issues with any of mine, were all pretty instant. You loaded your card onto your PayPal first right?

                  • +2

@Bigboy97: Balance is now back and Paypal pending transaction has disappeared.

                    A big relief!

      • +1

It seemed to work then I got an unhelpful email from IG:
"We have encountered an issue that has prevented us from returning your funds. You may need to send us a bank statement – find out more here.
To help us resolve this as quickly as possible, please contact us on +61 (3) 9860 1734 or on [email protected]."

    • myki,you didn't read carefully.

    • What is the PayPal method?

      • Send money to other paypal account. Then cash out

        • How do you create another PayPal account ? Won’t it be linked ?

          • +5

@FujiFruit: Using PayPal for this purpose is looking for trouble. It is very easy to trigger ID verification before fund release.

            • @Neoika: Ok thanks for letting me know.
I don’t want to get banned

          • +2

@FujiFruit: Ask your family or friend for this? New account doing this will get blocked easily.

        • Whats the fees for this?

  • payment settled and seems i earnt flybuys pts on ColesCC,
now whether i will receive extra giftcard for spend reqmnt ..

  • Double discount with Woolies 5% didn't work for me. I got the Woolies gift card using Paypal but when I try and enter it at Woolies it is being declined, we do not accept this

I suppose Paypal are going to refund the gift card payment.

    • Did you add the digital card to eBay? That’s what I did, and all my transactions to different companies won’t work, just says please use another payment method.is PayPal going to refund you

  • As sure as the wind blows every1 has the option of double stacking on the discount everyday gift cards you use and even better when a deal comes along.
Now where is my next deal on Ebay gift cards ?

    • I have heaps of ebay gift cards but dont know what to use them for.

I remember a while back, you could buy woolies gift cards on ebay. You cant now right?

  • +11

Cashed out 1500 worth gift card using sportsbet. Thanks to Djokovic and Igaswiatek who hardly lose in the initial rounds.

    Tip :

If you have Bet365 account there is no need to play a bet before cashing out as well.

Just Deposit using this gift card and withdraw. It worked seamlessly.

However when I tried to do the same for my 3rd card, account got blocked and they now need some proofs.

That is when I switched to sportsbet.

    • +12

Ah gambling, the true foundation of money laundering. Should've been the first thing we all thought of.

    • How much are their fees?

      • No fees in Bet365 and withdraw without betting as well (not sure if it's same if you are creating account newly. I had account which I am using from long time)

No fees in Sportsbet as well but you need to play a bet with the amount deposited and can withdraw only the amount return from bet result.

        • I thought all bookies require turnover of deposited funds to comply with money laundering laws? If not, this a great manufactured spending method.

          • @Outrageous: Well now that the cat is out of the bag, you can bet that Bet365 will be eager to close off this loophole very soon.

        • I just created a new account for this, deposited $250 and it won't let me access the withdraw part of my account - love that.

    • +2

Big loophole… great find. Bet365 is also the only bookie that will take a bet and allow cashout without taking some of the $$ for the trouble. You will notice with sportsbet that even if the odds haven't changed, they would likely only give you $95 back of your $100 bet if you wanted to cashout, I think that's to stop laundering.

      • +1

I would think that if you're genuinely using Sportsbet to launder dirty money, a small loss would be a reasonable cost to get "clean" money. From all the TV shows I've seen that involve money laundering there's always a cost to getting it clean.

I'm sure if you started depositing large quantities of cash and then kept cashing out your bets without mixing in some losses and genuine wins into the usage the strange patterns would warrant either cancellation of your account or a please explain sooner or later.

    • Did bet365 just remove PayPal as a deposit option or is it just me?

      • You can directly deposit in Bet365 with card details.

        • Dont they make you withdraw to the same payment method?

      • Update, bet365 still haven't given me back my money nor reactivated my account. They won't even give me a timeframe.

    • +3

My bet365 account got suspended and they have my $250. They want a whole load of documents. Not worth the hassle if anyone is thinking about it.

      • What documents are they asking?

        • +2

2 forms of ID, proof of address, proof of ownership of the card used to top up. Followed by a valid reason for topping up and withdrawing without intention to place bets. They won't process a review until I provide them a reason and they are also threatening to report to 'relevant authorities'.

          • +2

@vodamerc: Reason: you changed your mind, the market closed, the odds changed…

          • +1

            @vodamerc:

proof of ownership of the card used to top up.

I am guessing they lost their sh*t after they realised it was a prepaid gift card.

          • @vodamerc: I have dealt with a lot of them, & I didn't know that any bookie would allow a deposit and then withdrawal without turning over the deposit.

      • As I mentioned in above comment, mine got blocked too. After providing my ID and statement for this card, they unblocked the account and I was able to withdraw the amount.

Yes but it was bit of a hassle and that is why I switched to sportsbet (can't withdraw without bet)

        • How long did they take to reactivate? I sent everything off.
