    For those with Costco membership you can get a $100 DoorDash gift card for $80 at the moment by the way so it’s better than this 10%.

            @littlesoldier: I would suggest buying now while it's available. The link is in the Costco post - Go to Deal. It was available for a very short time last month, then sold out and now back again.

      No, only $50 and $100 fixed denominations (although stock will vary from store to store, as the one I visited yesterday has only stocked $50 denominations for a couple of months now).

      How do you guys use the last few dollars on those cards? With 100$ denominations, i end up with about $3.5 on them unused. Tried split payments and the system did not accept the card…

    With cinema can you buy food with it as well or just movie tickets ? It also says depending on individual acceptance does this mean some cinema won’t sell tickets using gift card if they do not want too ?

      You can buy anything you want with the cinema gift card (e.g. movie tickets, food, other gift cards), as long as the merchant uses the correct MCC (in this case, 7832) and the merchant chooses to accept it as a payment method.

      If you are paying in-person, if you just say you want to pay by card, you should be fine. However, for example:

      • If the staff member notices you are using a gift card and they do not like that, they can stop you.

      • If the EFTPOS terminal at the merchant does not have a magstripe reader, you are out of luck. (This is only relevant if you are using the physical version, rather than the digital version.)

      If you are paying online, you cannot use the physical version, as that is an eftpos-only gift card that does not support online transactions. However, you can exchange the physical version for the digital Mastercard version and then use that to make purchases either in-store (via Apple/Google/Samsung Pay) or online. Keep in mind that if you try to use the digital version online by entering the card number, expiry date and CVC2 directly into the online checkout, some merchants will reject it, because the digital version does not support security features that help reduce a merchant’s exposure to fraudulent transactions (e.g. 3-D Secure). Using the gift card from Apple/Google Pay instead can get around this (where available).

      Assuming you have a Woolworths Supermarket gift card, the answer is no.

      • It is against that gift card's terms and conditions to use it as a payment method for any gift cards.

      • If you attempt to use the gift card as a payment for a gift card anyway, as soon as you swipe, scan or manually enter the gift card on the EFTPOS terminal, it should display an error saying Items Not Allowed.

        Tried 2 different liquorlands, both declined. There was a reddit where someone also tried a few different liquor outlets and all failed. That was a couple weeks ago. I did use the declined card at liquor land a month back was trying to use the residual so maybe they picked up my first use and rejected it going forward
