    When it says it can be used at the Star Casino, does anyone know if you can use it at Harvest Buffet? (restaurant within the casino) Kids love going, but with a family of 7.. its a bit expensive at full price!

      It's not clear at all on the website what the card can and can't be spent on.
      I'd like to know if it can be used for buy food inside GC venues such as Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, GC Aqua Park and Village Roadshow Theme Parks or limited to being put towards the entrance fees.

      I’m curious so see if anyone has success with this. The Star shows up as a participating business but when you search the deals it only references a $99pp share menu at Kiyomi so not sure if that is your only option or just one thing they suggesting.

      No, you essentially get sent a code to redeem $100 off specific deals around the Gold Coast, listed on the website. At least that's how the Love GC Dreamworld voucher worked

      You can limit prepaid gift cards to specific businesses. There are already multiple multi-retailer gift cards out there, including:

      • TCN multi-retailer gift cards (HOME, KIDS, SHOP).
      • Ultimate gift cards.
      • Special gift cards (the versions with a merchant’s brand on it, e.g. JB Hi-Fi, Ritchies IGA, Woolworths).

      You could always try to use the prepaid gift card in this deal at a retailer not listed on the LOVE GC website, but keep in mind the following I found in the gift card terms and conditions:

      If a claimant attempts to make a purchase at a non-participating merchant using their LOVE GC Card, a fee in the amount of $0.10 will be deducted from the total balance of the LOVE GC Card. This fee will be deducted for each unsuccessful purchase at a non-participating merchant.

          Those sorts of gift cards use other information reported by the EFTPOS terminal to determine whether you are at a participating retailer.1

          This gift card only works when there is a high degree of collaboration between the participating business and the card retailer. It means - for example - if a participating business uses an EFTPOS terminal they forget to tell the card issuer about, the issuer will think the card is being used at a non-participating retailer and will decline the transaction (and for this gift card, charge you $0.10).

          1. This is discussed in more detail here, and I suspect the information being used to identify the business would include the merchant name and EFTPOS terminal ID. For example, it would be easy for Woolworths, because they report the store name and number in the merchant name, plus they report the terminal number as W + <store number> + <checkout number>, e.g. W2628062 would be checkout 062 at Woolworths Chermside Central in Brisbane. ↩

      Technically you could, but in reality it is exceedingly hard (esp when the list is large) to the point that is not practical. There are many shopping centre gift cards that are like that.

                      Yes, it's meant to be only one per number but for some reason when I went to the site looking for answers, I noticed the 1 per account thing was removed. I bought another and it worked.

                      Just confirmed it no longer looks at phone number when I'm buying it (on my phone at least). I just change email and use the same phone number. I just bought a third one.

I was thinking to use for locals lite Movieworld/SeaWorld/wetnwild passes but weirdly the website shows the usual price, not sure if the discount is applied later - did anyone buy these with their voucher and know what the final price is?

    @morse I experimented earlier. If you start from https://vrlovegc.themeparks.com.au/en, the checkout allows the use of 1 Love GC card and then pay the rest as normal (CC). It will need 3 individual checkouts to use all 3 gift cards.

      That’s what I figured, I think I’m good… I think it works out to bring the locals lite pass down to $89 (or $139 after voucher cost). We’re locals, so seems like good value. Just wanted to see if anyone had actually bought yet or had other better suggestions for use. We’re a family of 3, so basically one discounted pass each.

            @darktiger: Yes it works, just did this but it was a pain for Accor staff to process the Love GC, it’s an absolute sh*tshow. The whole Love GC gift card is swamped with errors and bugs

        Yes it is MCC 7011

        Usually you would stock up in advance when they are on special at Colesworth e.g. 15% off, 10% off, 20x points

        not sure what the best discount is on but it wouldn't be worth it to buy them now to get this deal… lots of people have bought the GC but haven't received and who knows might be sold out so not worth the risk

    For those with suspended card in Apple or Google Wallets.
    The following worked for me and I was able to reactivate the card.
    Go into the Help & Support section (top right corner) within the app and towards the bottom of the Help & Support section you will see your EAID code. This code is your activation code.
