          Plenty of people have ordered fresh produce, normally it's not a problem.

          The cancellations are simply from the offer being abused.

    I called. The lady had no idea what was going on, sounded like she hadn't heard about it. I had two orders cancelled - orders placed last night via iPhone with a double stack coupon on both.

    I explained what happened. She told me that you could only use those coupons once per week and you can't use for multiple orders etc etc.

    In the end, got a $30 coupon out of it. Disappointed, but less so after the coupon was given.

    I called them. This guy trying to bull shit me. He reckons the codes were made up by someone and the fraud department are investigating yada yada yada

    Told him to stop bull shitting cause he's going to get Woolworths fined by the ACCC for misleading customers and making up things.

    Got his name and will make a formal complaint. Thank god the S3 records conversations

        The codes weren't made up. The $10 off $50 and the $5 off $30 one mentioned in a comment were genuine codes issued by EDR to specific account holders. Unfortunately they didn't program the usage of the codes correctly and other people were able to use them.

        There were specific conditions set for the codes but nothing in the codes that would enforce the terms and conditions. EDR need new and more experienced programmers to make unique codes for specific members who were targeted.

    The supermarkets are robbing us everyday and now Woolworths cancels these orders on us when they made the mistake. I'll be taking this up with the Supermarket Ombudsman.

  • I rang up about the cancelled order. I paid with a Wish Card, so there are basically 2 refund methods -(1) coupon valid for 3 months to buy online again, (2) Wish Card that takes up to 14 days to arrive. I was concerned card gets lost in post, or they claim it's been sent when it is not. Where is the proof? So she said it is by courier. However, if no one is home, it is left in the mailbox. That means it is not signed delivery. Still, what choice have I got, if I dont want the coupon?

    • I called them up about the same thing, there is a third option, but I needed to request speaking to their supervisor to get it. You can nominate a credit card, and the refund will be sent to your credit card. This is a pain in the arse.

        I rang up twice, got different stories.

        First one said gift cards in the mail, second one said online credit.
        I was freak out on the second call and said there is no way I accepting the online credit as I won't shop with them online any more, and I have to think twice before I step in the Woolworth store in the future!!!

        Haven't heard the third version yet, neither was I given any alternative options on each call.

    • Also paid with a gift card. Email said my credit card had been refunded with $0 and I would receive a store credit of $0! Rang and told there had been a system error. Said I could have a gift card sent out in 1-2 weeks. Told him I wasn't interested in store credit as I won't be shopping with WW on line again. Was pretty apologetic- not his fault of course but bad PR for WW. Anyway that's $30 that I won't be spending at WW on stuff I didn't really need anyway. Total waste of all the time I spent with all the error messages I kept receiving plus looking for stuff I really didn't need.

      They canceled all ordered who used the voucher indiscriminately. It wouldn't take long after they've made a template. I wouldn't want to see angry ozbargainers, who spent time placing orders ,backlashing in the morning.

    4 Family accounts. One account has 2 orders. I was told by a female CSR that you can use them once, and 1 order will be honored. Again they lie.

        I called after 11pm at night and was on hold for a very long time, finally got through and talked to someone with very strong accent. But he can't have any help, as he have to ask for his supervisor…..reasonable person would know that NO supervisor would work at this time of the day!

          I mean if they emailed us and said it was an error on their part or system issues that allowed the 2 codes to go through and had to cancel our orders…then fine I'll accept that but the lack of effort to even change the template to at least say that..instead of a note saying that we CALLED to cancel when we DIDN'T? Isn't that going to create more work for them with people calling up to say they did not call to cancel their orders??

        • She might not be lying. I placed two orders. One for Sunday and Monday. My second order for Monday was cancelled. It seems Sunday is being honoured sooooo fingers crossed.

      I would try changing to order to click and collect in the morning to better your chances if your order hasn't been cancelled yet…

        This won't work. Changing your order results in cancelling your current order and all the products get added back into your trolley to go through the checkout process again, where you won't be able to get the discounts.

        Both my orders were cancelled last night. But I'm not crying!

        This is kind of like the Coles fuel thing a few months ago, some people who were quick managed to get it, others missed out but really, none of us were actually eligible in the first place (targeted offer).

    • Pattern? Those who ordered early, have mainly received their orders - no cancellation. People who ordered late (last night) seem to be receiving cancellations.

        My first order was on 19th June at 6pm, second order at 9pm, both cancelled last night via 2 separate emails.

        Second order cancelled around 9pm
        First order cancelled around 11pm.

        My problem was specifying Saturday for delivery, if I said Friday I probably would have received them (as the cancellations were late Friday night).

        • Don't think delivery day was the issue. I ordered 19th & 20th for delivery Sat & Sun - both arrived.

    • false negative… picked up my items this arvo without a hitch. Some items were out of stock which made my savings even greater. Total savings amount to 65%.

    • More likely that they didn't want to sell their stock at 40% off when people in the shops would be paying full price. It wouldn't look good having empty shelves in their distribution supermarkets.

    Dear Woolworths Online muppets …
    1) Cancelling an order less than 24 hours before delivery is a joke.
    2) Cancelling an order without providing any reason is also a joke.
    3) Why couldn't you apply just a single brain cell and offer your customers the option to only apply one code but continue with the order (if that is the reason for the cancellation)?
    4) If it is because the codes aren't meant to be used then fix your ordering system (and perhaps test it before putting it into a production environment).

    This is the second order I've had you muppets cancel in the last week. The other was the Masters cordless drill that was posted on OzBargain (showing as in stock at Bibra Lake). So I place a click and collect order … only to receive a call 4 days later advising me that they don't have stock and a refund will be processed. Why even have stock levels online if they aren't accurate (or the more likely case that you only bothered to allocate stock 4 days after I paid for the order).

      • Same here … but I've got to waste even more time now returning those Jamie Oliver toys because they have been recalled. Like their website, another thing they failed to test adequately. If they are cancelling orders this late I wonder how long before an order is delivered that they actually pack it. Also if its true that some people have been offered a $10 apology credit, why cancel the orders in the first place (so that people's orders are delayed, or that they have to choose a different delivery time that doesn't suit them, because the weekend is probably full by now). Anyway I placed my order not long after this was posted (so it's rubbish whoever suggests that latecomers are the only ones being cancelled). Probably also used up one of my free deliveries being that this was supposed to be my 2nd or 3rd delivery with them.

    I spent one hours to place two orders and these muppets cancelled both of them based on deceptive reasoning however I am feeling contented as I have lodged complaint with both NSW Fair Trading and ACCC.

    I will urge everyone to lodge complaints and only then ACCC will take actions against these muppets for their misleading and deceptive conduct.

  • Another reason may be if they can't make a profit or a benchmark negative profit on the orders after the discount, they'll cancel your order. I would assume they have a database to store the data and run a sql query to do a cancellation in bulk.

  • I just received both of my orders. Driver came with one order initially (for earlier delivery) then I asked if he had the 2nd order with him.

    I dont care really, $90 back in my pocket, not theirs.
