Powerful 360 Lumens Mini CREE Metal Flashlight $0 + USD $3.95 Postage Aust Wide

11318

This offer has only, and will only be advertised to OzBargain member's. It is only one per customer and it is not for the older 210 Lumens but the latest 360 Lumens, steel cased all weather super , super, bright mini flashlight. It runs off an AA battery and comes with beam adjustment and comes with the latest 2_Q5 CREE Bulb.

Please note the specifications indicate water resistant, however we only suggest its light rain or drizzle resistant. Alot of products mention they are water resistant that really aren't. In short amazing little torch that you will be very impressed with, but keep it out of the rain and it will be your handy little aid for several years.

  • ORDERED. Would've been a great deal if you could order more than one- its around the same price as eBay, except faster shipping since it ships from aus?

  • Hi Rep, what's the battery life expectancy like ?

    • I too would like to know. I hope it's not like an hour or two.

      • +5

I hope it's not like an hour or two.

how long would you expect such a bright torch to run on one AA battery?

ive not actually timed mine (from the banggood deal) but if its over an hour id be surprised. it certanly lasts long enough for what i want it for (mostly finding shit in the dark) and the brightness is amazing compared to my old maglites

rechargeable AA batteries are a must i recon, i might even buy one of the 14500 3.7v and see how it goes with that. but if your looking for a torch thats going to last hours/days on a charge your probably going to want someting a bit bigger than a 3" torch…

  • Grabbed one as well thanks

  • Price is $3.95 USD

    • +2

Yep, that saved me $0.01! Even more of a bargain on checkout!

  • Ordered too, thank you OP. What is the expected delivery time?

  • And me.. Thanks for the deal..

  • +1

Bought one, Actually USD$3.95, not A$3.95, so a little cheaper. I have corrected the title.

    • As Marky66 mentioned, mine came up as $3.98 as well.

  • +1

Bought one - paypal charged 3.98 AUD

    • 28 Degrees/Bankwest Platinum should cost you AU$3.86

    • +6

Resistance is futile. Submit to the Hypnotorch.

  • Is this bugged?? im getting $0.00, 100% discount…

    • Price is $0.00, but US$3.95 postage.

      • lmao thanks, went back up and re-read the OP :)

  • +5

    What a cheap looking website.

    • +13

      Suits us

    • There is also no privacy policy to be found anywhere.

How will Zingy use our personal information?

  • I got 2 of these at home, should I buy more?

  • How do the Cree Q5 models differ from the Q3?

I ask because of the great recent Q3 deals like this:
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/100436

    Q5 > Q3 and better/newer?

    • +2

According to http://flashlightwiki.com/Cree a Q5 is supposed to have about 10% more flux (luminous power) than a Q3 (at the same current).

  • +1

Great little light for anyone 'umming' and 'ahh-ing' on whether or not to purchase.

  • Got one as well

  • I got one from a deal that was on some weeks ago. It is quite amazing how bright it is just with one battery. Very well built and powerful toy.

  • +4

Not only is the site painful on the eyes and slower than hotmail, but it also keeps redirecting me to some silly "SUPER DOOPER IPHONE MEGA PACK" page (http://www.zingy.com.au/?q=checkout/947) when I try to checkout.

The worst part is that I also submitted my personal details, and I don't even get the torch.

    • +2

Whinger. It's not that bas, IU hahg a cahdf, ahf alad aht heh gha, o hell I can't see.

  • Yeah looks like the site is actually down now

  • +5

can't handle the wrath of the ozbargainers under 1000 clicks lol are you running your site from a raspberry pie?

    • I think they are using powerful phone such as the S4 - 8 core. Now that is cloud computing.

  • website dead? ozbargained?

  • +6

Hi Guys the site is experiencing some issues in regards to the traffic and bandwith, please be patient as we are working on it now and will have it rectified shortly. Please note we will have this deal for the OzBargain members live for the next few days so don't stress if you cant checkout in the next 30 min. This is a below cost deal for the Oz bargain members as the $3.95 wont cover postage in most cases. Thanks for your patience with the site and again hope the deal is well received.

    • +5

i think you underestimate how quickly ozbargainers can make a product go out of stock!

    • Nice one Zingy. Look forward to buying when the site is up.

    • +2

What's going on Rep? The site was down earlier, but I didn't rush as you said it would be available for the next few days… and now it's out of stock?!

  • +3

Does anyone know what kind of website this is?

There is no information, contact details, only the Rep who posts once in a while

Can it be fishing for CC details? Paypal details?

    Anyone?

    • can't help you out for that but … that's good critical thinking, would be good if someone answered us!

  • +1

    • site up and running, just bought my light! looking forward to it.

  • i have the old 210 lumen one. Good torch. Its not surefire but its not $55 either.
WIll buy another one when the site is up again.

  • Tried at 2:30 AEST. Site still down.
Rep: I hope you're migrating the site to a VPS ;) It'll go down when it's OZed ^_^

  • back up

  • +2

So what is so good about these torches. Please inform. Youtube links would help.

  • Bought one at 2:40pm. Site is running slow though.

  • Nope…died again…. didn't even get chance to do checkout :(

  • still can't buy it…

    • Yep, site is down for me too…

  • will try ordering tonight. hopefully still in stock.

anyone know where its coming from? rough delivery time?

    • +1

Given the way these 'group buy/minimum number reached, deal is on' type sites operate it'll be very interesting just how long it takes for people to get their torch.
May be faster to swim to China and back.

  • back up (for now)

  • The torch has been deliberately priced at $0.00 to avoid any refunds should a customer lodge a paypal dispute.

    • Not the first site to use the zero dollar product, non-refundable postage model. Inherently dodgy.

  • +1

Bought. Wife says I have a problem collecting torches. (No shit).

    • When do you use them? I never need a torch more then the light of my phone.

      • Bit of a hassle to pull your phone out.

    • +1

Sounds like you have no problem collecting them :-P

  • Bought. Exhausted - need a lie down.

  • site seems to be working now.

ive just bought one and for $4 its a pretty great deal even if it takes a couple of weeks to arrive

will be a perfect glove box companion for emergencies i reckon

  • Edit: It's gone through now but when directed back to zingy's website my browser tells me this:

Information from this secure page will be submitted to a page that is not secure on www.zingy.com.au.

Submitting sensitive information is strongly discouraged.

    Do I submit or cancel?

  • Just got 500 Internal Server Error after Paypal tried to return to zingy. Who knows what the status is now, haven't received any email from them (only PayPal)

    • +1

hope you kept the failed return page open. I got an email after refreshing that page once the server came back up.

looks like it triggers the order.

  • I'm getting the same errors as well. site overload?

  • I managed to get one about 10 mins ago.. Keep trying I guess??

  • I think I managed to buy one.. crashed when I got returned back to their website after paying!

  • Lol managed to get 2. Don't know if they will send two but in checkout and in paypal they said i would be getting 2. muahahaha

    • Lol same here - it was by accident though because I reloaded the page and it did it twice and then I didn't update it for fear of the site not reloading again lol. I also got the PayPal receipt but couldn't get back to Zingy - we'll see how we go. Thanks Zingy!

  • Do you have a bike holster for this?

    • +1

Sounds you have wasted you money on this terrible website with this shit torch.
Would you mind to share your experience with us?

  • +39

Hi Guys thanks for your patience.
Hopefully I can answer some questions

I am told the site is being migrated to VPS 8 within the hour so later this afternoon it should be
running without a hitch. Hopefully from now to then it will be live but it might time out every now and then fingers crossed. As I can see right now its down

In regards to lifespan it is roughly between and hour and and an hour and a half. The specifications say 4 hours but that is not correct.
In regards to $0 that was done because the standard $3.95 postage for all the other 100 odd products cant be altered individually. I we listed it at $0 so that it was a below cost deal. We purchase these units at $3.15 in bulk, no secret about profit margins. However as you will see when the item arrives, the standard costs is $6.95 posted interstate as they come in A$1.25 padded cell bag + their freight charge. But some member's are in SA and WA so its obviously higher again.

We have 65 units in stock but so far over 150 units have been purchased. We have a shipment arriving on Wednesday and another Friday.
So absolute worst case some members will receive their torches in around 5-8 days, others will receive them within 48 hrs. There is nothing dodgy about this deal and the Paypal issue. I will officially put it on record if anyone pays $3.95 for this product and they want a refund when the product arrives because it is different to the specifications we have provided or they are not happy with the quality I will honor that an issue a refund immediately.
This is not about fishing for paypal details like one member mentioned, this is about promoting our site and our range of products we distribute. This deal will cost Zingy approx $700, and we-prefer to spend $700 on promoting our site this way as opposed to google ad words $2 a click. Plus members get a really good and safe deal.

If it was unethical it would just say sold out because its costing us to much money, but I said I would run it for a few days and that is what I will do. It wont be promoted anywhere else it really is just a below cost deal for Oz Bargain Member's

Please also note the system will allow you to put 2 in checkout but this deal is for one unit per customer
Also a member mentioned about deal sites and minimum orders buys, none of our products have minimum orders. As soon as the deal is live its live.

Hopefully this answers some questions and is well received so that we can continue to release great deals that are obviously significantly below cost. So thanks again for your patience and feel free to try in the next 30 minutes but as of early tonight I am informed as one member mentioned it will be on a level 8 VPS not a level 4 where it was. Sorry to ozbargained who thinks the site and torch is shit, but the site is to bright we understand that and will amend it, and it was running really slowly due to the load, and we are an hour or so away from fixing that, and finally the torch is not shit. For $3.95 delivered it is a brilliant little torch, and the feedback when customers receive it will show that, it is a very well built and extremely bright torch for its size. We wanted to release a series of transparent well below cost deals to the Oz bargain member's so if the community wants more then we will happily release them, with the following additions that you have mentioned
    More in stock
    Site not so bright site
    Faster Checkout and bandwith etc

Cheers guys and hope this answers some questions, happy to answer any other queries.

    • +6

Thanks for honest and frank feedback. Good work rep.

      • His name's not Frank…

        • :/

        • surely you're not serious

        • +5

i am serious but can you please stop calling me Shirley

        • It's JV, you can't put the word 'serious' in one sentence. :D

        • What about two?

    • seems to me the rep is pretty good.

i am still waiting for my torch bought from tmart over one month ago.

  • Site is fast for me now, Thanks rep.

  • +1

I have an identical torch and have just bought another here. The unit I have works well using a rechargable NIMH AA battery. A good compact little torch.

  • Worked fine now

  • just bought one. $3.95

  • That would be right! I just bought one of these off eBay for $5

    :@

  • Perfect thanks, even better that you charge in USD

  • Awesome! Another spare torch (can't have too many of them). :)

  • +6

    Hi guys
Thanks again for your patience, it looks like the migration has occurred and the site is now a bit more robust, well a hell of alot more robust
In short word definitely got out and yes I underestimated the size of the Oz bargain community. But my word stands the deal is still live even though though the bank balance is going the wrong way at the moment. Alot of members are probably saying yeah right but at over $9 a pop which includes postage it definitely is not about profit, but hopefully about getting our little name out there.
In saying this if anyone wants to purchase as of now please be aware that maybe just maybe there will be a max 10 day wait. We have 65 in stock and 250 ordered from a week ago, but at this rate our next order comes in next Tuesday meaning shipped wed and then delivered Friday, Monday , and Tuesday, depending on the location in Australia.
But Im sure the handful of OzBargain customers that do fall into the 7-10 day business spot will understand that its still $3.95 well spent. But the vast majority will be 5-7 business days.
Also please feel free to buy some of our other products, keep us alive and kicking so we can release another great deal hopefully next week.
Thanks guys for the advice some critical some constructive.
    Cheers
