    • Hey did you have any pre-installed music files or audiobook files? I was going to change my ringtone when I found some random music I know for a fact I didn't download. Mine had a proper seal but still concerned about it.

  • Received mine a couple days ago with seal intact. It was to replace a phone that doesn't work with the 3G shutdown. Popped in the sim card and tried to call out but still getting a recorded message saying that 3G is turning off in October. People can't call to the number either. Sim card is with Lyca mobile. Any ideas?

    • Is it a 3G only SIM?

      • Not sure. It is really old though so maybe it is a sim card issue

  • I use the Samsung S24 Ultra, and bought the Neo for my wife. I gotta say after using it for 24 hours since it arrived, I am very impressed with the UI and the snappiness of the phone in general. First impressions are that it's a steal for $200.

Ended up getting the 2nd one somehow too and chucked it on Marketplace AT the same price I bought it for. The number of angry, abusive messages I received from people clearly angry they missed out was insane

'yOu jUsT bOuGhT tO sEll' and 'yOu'Re a dOg' when I wasn't even trying to make a single dollar profit. People are insane man

FBMP is scoured by the filth of society, worse than Scumtree.

Maybe should've listed it on Ozbargain via the

      • If you received it, why did you neg the deal?

For the audio files, you may have pressed transfer from old device during setup.

I wasn't able to purchase it. My father was able to.
I'd un-neg if I could. It was an irrational and a heat in the moment thing

      • No, I didn't have any pre-installed random music files. Only the default ringtones. I transferred my data from my other Android phone to this one (during initial setup) which brought in the music files I had on my previous device.

        • Yeah no worries. Realised my stupid mistake. I just had imported music which was transferred from my previous phone lmao

I'm one of those people that put in the order, got the confirmation then after had it removed with payment failed.

Didn't realise and bought some screen protectors straight away.

If anyone is in Adelaide and wants them let me know!

  • Picked up mine today, seal broken. Should I ask for a replacement?

  • I'm wondering why the seal was broken on some shipments. Could it be to dissuade on-selling? I never bought mine to flip it - just a typical OB FOMO - and wasn't and still not sure whether I should just keep my S21 FE. I'd hope to think I'd have no problem getting my money back (I have no need to profit), or even returning for a refund given the broken seal.

For the people with broken seals, I decided to have a look at my one, and although the seal isn't broken it does look really stressed, I wouldn't be surprised if the seal broke in transit

    Thanks OP.

I am thoroughly impressed by the design of this phone. I have been mainly using iPhones for over a decade and had a few disastrous experiments with flagship androids in between. Given the iPhone 16 Pro is a dud, I decided to delay my iPhone upgrade till next year and casually bought this phone. Now I found that I am not missing anything from my old iPhone 12 Pro Max apart from 4K/60fps recording and the iOS ecosystem exclusive features.

Apple and Samsung really need to up their games for charging customers that much.

  • I complained to ebay about this debacle and to the seller. Nothing came of it until a few days later when our of the blue i received a 22% discount ebay voucher via email.

    • Ebay called it a feature rather than a problem.

  • Any bargains screen protector and case, please?

Some I've ordered but not yet received.. were a little cheaper before but not huge difference now. I'm sure if you looked hard enough probably find others cheaper still.

3 pack of screen protectors and lens protectors
      Silicone case
Textured back case with magsafe ring

I must admit I've grown quite accustomed to the bare phone, got the silicone case hoping its the thinnest, and the textured one hoping it will replicate the phones own backing as I quite like the hold on it. Guess it will feel too chunky though, so might just end up with the screen and lens protectors fitted but I do like the idea of a magsafe wireless charger in the car.

I noticed the phone itself is slightly magnetic, was holding itself on my existing magnetic mount but not securely enough that I'd trust it while driving.

  • end up paying $350 from JB HI FI as I missed out on this deal, what a steal

Following my complaint to eBay I received the following response weeks later, enjoy!

    Hello,

    Hope you are doing well!

This is follow up email from eBay in relation to payment failure for item "Motorola Edge 50 Neo 5G Dual Sim, 256GB/12GB, 6.4" and applying BFMOTO code.

I have checked this with our team and we had Black Friday promotion and Phone was on Flash sale when you attempted to purchase the item. On flash sale available quantities are limited compared to the demand. Due to this, there is a rush on the site.

Eligible members took benefit on first come first serve basis. Usually, available quantities get sold in very less time. Hence system displayed the message about failed payment wherein, what happened is that by the time you can complete the checkout, all the available quantities got sold out. Due to this, you missed the deal.

For future sales, I would suggest to keep an eye on eBay deals page and home page as well.

I trust the information shared is correct.

It was my pleasure assisting you today. I wish you all the best for your future trading on eBay.
    Kind regards,

    eBay Customer Service

This was a great, if not the greatest deal on Ozbargain.
We were hoping for two phones, but are happy with one.
I will give this phone to my wife as it didn't quite have the specs I was after.
So I'm looking at another phone, except this deal has now left my wife with an expectation that ALL phones will now sell for $200.
Me: "Oh .. look this is a good price…"
    Wifey: "Is it $200??"
Me: "Well no, but the price is pretty go .."
Wifey: "No, $200 is all we're paying …."

    A blessing .. and a curse.
