      Can you link some 14” gaming laptops of the same quality for cheaper?

  • Only down side is 16 gb ram and not upgradable.

    Checked other JB laptops deals, not that really kind of BF prices this year …

  • RIP to anyone who bought this at $3700 when it launched earlier this year.

    • lol very true Jarrod, even now at $2k will soon be another round of RIP, bet next drop will be under $1.5k

    • Do you think this is a decent deal as an everyday laptop for school and gaming here and there when not at my PC? Looking for a 14” laptop that can do both and has good build quality/screen etc.

      • As much as I don't wan to admit it because things like the G14 are so much better and usually cheaper in the US, but that's not the case in straya where the lowest G14 with same GPU we've seen so far was like $1K more. Just be aware of the lower GPU performance which is a limit of Type-C charging.

        • Is it worth buying a refurb g14 off ebay for the same price? Is it that much better?

          • @KSinny: Probably, as long as it is actually in good condition (not like a refurb I recently bought from ebay) and has some warranty.

            • @JarrodsTech: Managed to find the deal of a lifetime and snag a 2024 Razer Blade 14 with the 4070 for $2400 Aud on FB marketplace in perfect condition.

                @KSinny: Woah nice one!

                @KSinny: Well I'm glad you listened to Jarrod and avoided this one.
                The deal you got is incredible. Well done

  • Up to 8 hours and 15 mins (typical device usage)

    I wonder what "typical device usage" is supposed to be for a "Gaming Laptop"? Light browsing and a little minesweeper?

  • the chassis quality and keyboard on this is horrible, feels like a $300 midrange chromebook.

    for 2k budget I'd stretch it a bit and look at this:

    https://www.centrecom.com.au/lenovo-yoga-pro-7i-gen-9-145-3k…

    higher end CPU but a bit lower TGP gpu, and build quality is in a different dimension from the omen 14. You can immediately feel the difference when holding both side by side in-store, the omen feels like a toy in comparison, and the yoga pro can match a macbook chassis.
