  • Still eligible can pay for part of giftcard to get the cashback?

    • +1

Says "Cashback is valid when gift cards are used as a payment method" so I presume so

      • +3

To be clear that's taken from the eBay SB page in reference to regular cashback. It has been a long time since the rep has explicitly said that partial GC payment is fine for bonus cashback.

I have had the bonus track normally with partial GC payment earlier this month, it would be nice to get confirmation though @gotyourback.

        • Normally if westpac Bonus pay with GC tracked no problem, but every time St George bonus pay part of GC always didn’t tracked

        • +2

Yes, you are eligible for Cashback if you have used partial GC in your payment during checkout with eBay.

          • @gotyourback: Excellent, thanks for the reply and confirmation.

Might I also suggest adding ''/order or per order' to the $20 cap for the upsized cashback (it is already this way for the bonus cashback) in the future, just to completely eliminate any possible confusion.

            • @Hiphopopotamus: No worries @Hiphopopotamus! Thanks for the feedback! We'll definitely work on providing clearer details about capped amounts for future upsized offers.

  • +4

Invalid if using your eBay plus puss code

  • Hope the coupons NONFY20/PLUSF22 work without a problem - caused tracking hassles and rejections with ShopBack last time

    • Was it this deal? It looks like it was fixed, hopefully it's smooth sailing this time around.

      • Yes. The system first tracked and then rejected everyone cashback but a lot of us had screenshots so we got there in the end.

        • It was fixed system wide though right? Not manually.

This will be the first test for coupon use after that fiasco, the last few upsizes and bonuses have been with no eligible codes.

    • Not sure they will, given the following condition, unless I am misreading this?

“Any purchases made with the use of coupon or Voucher codes are not eligible for Cashback (unless otherwise stated) and will track at $0”

      • +2

NONFY20/PLUSF22 are listed on the Shopback site as valid codes.

I think the issue is more they got rejected last time even though they were supposed to be valid. So hopefully we don't have the same glitch again.

  • Phew, have another tab open on the final checkout page for $200, I can wait a few hours

  • +1

@gotyourback please consider adding FYEARAUTO as an eligible code.

    • +2

      lol nvm it's expired anyway.

      how about PA20PLUS?

  • Ain't no way. I just made an order to get my $5 and $100 challenge done…

  • +3

Up to 22% off this EOFY* [Codes: PLUSF22/NONFY20] ,They listed in the deal ,scroll down you can find it

Not Worth the stuffing around for $20

    • +19

Sir, this is Ozbargain. Ive seen ppl stuff around for much less haha

    • $40 for me and can keep using is not a stuff around. It’s the most used deal for me yearly ;)

  • Where can we buy eBay gift card for discount?

    • Shopback or Macquarie Marketplace

Look at the discounted gift cards page under "pages" in the header ^^^

      • Many there requires membership. I was after something without membership. I have AGl but it is only giving 2% at the moment.

        • +1

ShopBack Tech Swap includes eBay, 2.5% cashback. I believe it's the highest that doesn't require membership (other than a SB account of course).

  • +1

    Damn bought something yesterday :(

  • +1

Can somebody clarify what the following condition means please? Looks like it could be worded better.

“Ensure that you DO NOT add products to your eBay wishlist and purchase/bid over 24 hours later, as Cashback may not be awarded.”

    • Don’t save items to your Wishlist and then buy them.

      • +1

Thanks. And the 24 hour comment?

        • And what happens if I delete the item from watchlist? Wait 24 hours?

          • +1

@Bargain2020: Pretty much! eBay want fresh genuine clicks so they can attribute the purchase to ShopBack. If you purchase from your wishlist, eBay may not give ShopBack the credit for the purchase, and therefore your purchase will not track.

If you already have something in your Wishlist, just make a new eBay account to be safe.

            • @Repstar: Thanks for clarifying

            • +1

@Repstar: Is Wishlist different to Watch list?

              • +1

@prodnus: They are two separate lists, however I would bet my $$ they are both treated the same by eBay. Avoid.

                • +2

@Repstar: @repstar I usually purchase from my watchlist with no issues

  • Fingers crossed no tracking issues this time! All the tracking issues from the last deal were fixed, so will give this deal another go. Thanks ShopBack!!

  • So in a $200 item I get $40 cashback right?
And the 15% cashback only is allowed against the amount charged to the card. So can’t use gift cards for say $100 and expect to get the $40 cash back.

    • 15% Bank bonus paid on full purchase amount.

      • How does this work? - click through to eBay via shopback and then use a STG card on eBay to pay - to get both offers - is that it ?- TIA

        • +1

Pretty much! Can further increase your savings by using an ebay gift card purchased at a discounted rate, and spending at least $1 on your STG card.

          • @Repstar: Can you buy through web or have to use shopback app? Always confused about bank bonus which does not allow for clickthrough via web….!

            • +1

@Rachadeal: I use the web. Go to shopback.com.au, click on ebay and make your purchase with the bank bonus card. Easy!

          • @Repstar: Thanks mate

  • does this work for auctions?

    • No

  • I’ve noticed in the heading for the eBay part not sgt it states per cap and not like St.George part stating cap/per order. Is that coz of limited heading requirements? Like if we make 2 orders of max amounts, we are only going to get $40 on first order then $20 on next one?

    • +1

Shopback caps are per order unless stated otherwise. So you should get $40 for order 1, and $40 for order 2

  • +1

OP: Up to 22% off this EOFY* [Codes: PLUSF22/NONFY20] currently listed under Discounts!

  • +12

So much for Shopback's "Westpac lounge". Shafted once again.

    • +1

      I reckon. It's become a joke.

  • +3

This deal didn't track for me despite using the app: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/850217

Put in a ticket on Shopback and zero communication.

Shopback is going to sh1t, total lottery if anything tracks and if you ever end up getting your cashback.

    • Agree, they keep rejecting many cashback now a days for ebay.

This is happening after this westpac tie-up started as before there was no issue with cashback. Even my AGL cashback wasn't tracked even though entire process went through and sign-up after going through shopback.

This was the issue with cashreward and i closed that account only to use shopback but these guys also going on the same path.

  • Any issues with cashback on overseas seller on ebay.com.au or best offers??

  • Guessing they're not going to add the code FY24CBT

  • -1

    cheapskate

  • Does anyone know if this works if a seller makes an offer a few days ago and I accept the offer during the promo period?

    • +1

AFAIK best offer not included (it hasn't been in the past).

I specifically purchase on buy it now without best offer even when more expensive pre cashback just to make sure :/

    • +1

      Nope won’t work

  • +3

I don't think shopback has ever tracked eBay properly for me.

Used shopback last time and it didn't track again

Submitted a ticket and it was rejected even though no coupons were used… Put off trying again. Could have used a coupon and at least gotten some sort of discount.

    • never ignore the coupon even though shopback cashback is hire because there is all this possibilities where shopback reject your tracking or doesn't track at all. Happened to me in past since then I use shopback and coupon both.

  • Does anyone know if I can still get bonus cashback when purchasing from Australia Post eBay store? I remember seeing previously that that store is sometimes excluded..

    • just noticed here, is it true?

I made 2x purchases from post ebay last night, both not tracked while others are tracked.

  • +4

    What is StG, BoM, BSA

  • So Westpac isn't eligible but its smaller banks are?!

    • Westpac owns all of those banks

      • But Westpac isn't eligible for the bonus cashback?

        • dont know why quite dumb considering theyre all owned by the exact same company

  • +1

Duh, just made 3 purchases from fleabay yesterday… :(

  • Okay clicked through Westpac app —> Shopback has detected going to Ebay store. Paid with Mastercard. used NONFY20 voucher. Lets see if it tracks and I get the cashback…

    • +3

      But this isn't a Westpac upsized bonus…

      • At least he’ll still get 2%…

    • +2

      Fail lol

    • Westpac
Won’t give u the upsized cashback

  • If a seller applied discount coupon (eg. 10%) automatically applies for mutiple purchase, with this cashback still work ?
I tried to remove it, but I can't.

    • It works fine don’t worry , done it multiple times

      • Didnt work for me. My standard one tracked.

  • Is it single use only?

    • same q, per transaction or per SB user?

  • Unclear if these coupon codes on this page are eligible?
I believe these are ebay Plus targeted

    https://www.ebay.com.au/b/Sales-Events/bn_7115219298

    • The coupon must be listed on SB

  • +4

Is it just me or is eBay being sneaky and no longer showing the message "use code PLUSF22 to save xxx on this purchase" when you click on a listing?

When I manually put the code in it works, but they no longer appear to advertise it.

    • +1

yep, I was watching a few laptops last week that had the PLUSF22 displayed in the ad, then the references to the code all disappeared about 2 days ago Bought one today and the code still worked. Sneaky though.

  • A dumb question, Is WBC customer included for total $40 shop back offer?

    • +1

      No

      • Thank you @ superbass

  • Is this shopback better than Cash Rewards? That's what I use to get cash back and deals when shopping?

    • If you get the bank cards it can be good

  • If I pay $49 with eBay gift cards and $1 with a BoM card, the bank bonus is paid on the full amount, not just the $1?

    • +2

      Correct

      • Don't think this is the case anymore.
I just did the same thing, $1 on the St George card and rest on gift cards. Bank cashback was tracked as $0.16

        • +1

          Thanks for the heads up.
I am guessing the same thing will happen with bank bonus for Amazon AU purchases.

It looks like SB is excelling at Enshittification at the moment.

They don't even have a rep for OzBargain any more.

        • I just did the same thing with a big order fffuuuuuuuuuuuu
