1260

Upsized 10% cashback on most categories with $20 cap. ShopBack has not made clear whether this is $20 cap per transaction or per account.

Just received a notification from ShopBack. Ignore the eBay Plus logo since I believe it is for the wrong promo.

The 15/22% off eBay Plus Weekend codes are listed on ShopBack and will qualify for cashback.

Unsure what codes will be stackable since the picture did say special codes (could be the eBay Plus weekend codes)

Don’t forget to activate the loyalty spend promo

Excluded categories:

  • Items in the Travel category
  • Charity and non-profit items
  • eBay Plus membership
  • Items with Best Offer accepted prices and Auctions

Special notes from store

  • Any purchases made with the use of coupon or Voucher codes are not eligible for Cashback (unless otherwise stated) and will track at $0.
  • Only purchases made through eBay Australia will earn Cashback. Cashback is valid when gift cards are used as a payment method
  • Ensure that you DO NOT add products to your eBay wishlist and purchase/bid over 24 hours later, as Cashback may not be awarded.
  • Ensure that you DO NOT click on advertising banners or sponsored links on the eBay website.
  • Ensure that the seller has marked your order as sent once you receive your purchased items.

  • It says "special codes" so perhaps some coupons are getting released later as well.

Would be nice to get a Westpac Lounge offer to go with that - been a while

    • +1

It shows eBay 2% bonus ends 10 May, which means unlikely be a change tomorrow. StG and the other two's ends midnight, more likely be a change tomorrow.

  • Perfect timing, need to buy something tomorrow! Thanks OP

  • Potentially StG bonus to stack as the current 2% ends midnight for a rate change.

    • Potentially the same with the other banks except for Westpac

  • +1

Are they gonna do it for all categories? i found topcashback has been really good recently, just flat 3% for everything on ebay. tracking has been good too.

  • +1

Anyone notice scams on ShopBack emails?
I signed upusing the gmail +ShopBack trick. I'm getting scams coming in on this email.

    https://imgur.com/a/65H30t3

I know they had a data breach 4y ago. I wasn't signed up then. Only maybe 2y ago.
    Thought it's a bit weird.

    • I don’t think it has to do with ShopBack. I’ve been getting text messages scam regarding missed delivery too

    • Got spam recently and I have a unique email for Shopback

  • Hope PLUSW22 works

  • +1

Stacks with STG today for an extra 10% !!

    • +1

St George or Bank of Melbourne

  • Does this include computers, tech, networking etc? Or is that capped at 1.5% cashback?

    • +2

Yes, should be flat 10% cashback across all categories

      • Nice! I'll hold off. Fingers crossed what I want is available at that time.

  • +1

Anyone know if the PLUSW100 code works?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/844042

    • nope. not listed on SB website.

  • +1

@gotyourback - Any chance of making 'PLUSW100' code stackable for this cashback round?

    • Hey there! We don't currently have that code listed on our site, so it wouldn't qualify for Cashback. Maybe skip using it this time to make sure you snag that sweet Cashback reward!

      • +2

Would be amazing if it could be added - PLUSW100 is a much more available ebay weekend deal

      • @gotyourback, which one tracks better the app or the web browser? ebay web browser always seem to open another tab whenever I search and click on the item and I had few times where ebay just didn't track, so I thought I might ask.

        • I used app on Android

          • @sintro: Tracked for both standard and westpac

            • @sintro: used iphone. tracked for both as well.

              • @superbass: @superbass
                @gotyourback
My standard eBay Australia and westpac bonus was tracked with a cashback amount within 24 hours. But now the standard eBay is showing as "Calculating" and westpac bonus is rejected. What's going on?

                I used the PLUSW22 code

                • @sintro: Same… arrggg typical ShopBack thus why I rarely use. My Amazon purchase yesterday didn’t track either..

  • is the $20 max you can claim as cash back?

    • +1

      Per transaction

      • Can you tell us where it shows a per transaction cap?

        • Ah sorry, I was blindly following the title haha

        • Not sure about the 10% upsized cashback (Non-Bank Portion) but the St.George / Bank of Melbourne 10% Portion says 'Reward Capped at $20.00 per purchase' (Checked it myself)

  • Where does it say $20 cap per transaction? I cannot find this clause on SB's page.

@gotyourback Can you confirm $20 cap per transaction or per account please?

    • If it doesn’t mention, it’s normally per transaction based on history of ShopBack cashback offers

  • does this stack with PLUSW25?

    • PLUSW25 is not listed on SB, so you should assume it does not.

    • -2

yes it does per the description

      • No, it doesn't, only PLUSW15 / PLUSW22 stack

        • ah sorry, read this wrong

  • No matter how many times I participate in these eBay cashback offers I always get anxious when it doesn't track within an hour or so (usually it tracks the next morning) despite that happening every time hahaha

    • well, i have instances where it didn't track few times, so understand where you coming from..
I bought one 30 mins ago ~$200, hopefully it tracks this time.

    • ah crap, I forgot to take screenshots and recordings 🤦‍♂️

  • -1

@gotyourback I made three separate transactions on eBay during the upsized 10% offer and paid with a St George card. Only one is tracked at the 10% cashback. The other two orders are tracked at 1%.
The St George bank bonus is tracked at 10% for all three transactions though.
I didn't use any codes or vouchers.

Can you please fix as this upsized eBay offer is meant to be 'per transaction', as confirmed with previous Gotyourback in the history of eBay offers. Thanks.

P.S. At the time of purchase yesterday, this offer was posted as 'per transaction' based on all eBay offers being 'per transaction' as confirmed by previous Gotyourback.
The post has been amended since my comment today.

    • Hey @trixieb, could you drop us a DM with all the screenshots and details for us to look into this?

      • @gotyourback The 3 x St George 10% Bonus that were correct have now been rejected and showing $0.00 and the 3 x eBay 10% upsized cashback are all 'calculating' now. I didn't use any codes or vouchers

  • +1

My ebay order initially tracked with WP bonus but has just changed back to 'Calculating' and WP bonus rejected - used PLUSW22 code

  • +1

    @gotyourback

My standard eBay Australia and westpac bonus was tracked with a cashback amount within 24 hours. But now the standard eBay is showing as "Calculating" and westpac bonus is rejected. What's going on?

    I used the PLUSW22 code

  • +2

    @gotyourback

    Same issue here.
Standard eBay Australia and St.George bonus was tracked with a cashback amount within 24 hours and now standard eBay showing calculating and St.George bonus is rejected. I am also using PLUSW22 code.

  • +1

    @gotyourback
Same here BoM cashback marked as 'rejected', ebay 'calculating'. Used PLUSW22 code.

  • +1

    @gotyourback

Also, please fixup the $3 per $100 bonus https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/840941 that stacked with this deal - thanks

    • right I also had two extra bonuses that got knocked out

    • yes my $3 per $100 bonus got cancelled too…

    • Same here :(

  • Do you guys just wait for @gotyourback to reply or also chat their rep through shopback support?

    • Rep should get notification of the tags when he logs on

      • Ok. Thanks mate

  • +3

Hey there @sintro, @Blurayz, @King Tightarse, @redhotchilli, so sorry to hear about the trouble with both Westpac & St. George bonuses and the Cashback tracked at $0!

I've poked the team to investigate this for you, and I'll let you guys know as soon as I have any updates.

    • +1

Same problem here, @gotyourback. My eBay order during the flash sale tracked over the weekend initally at 10%. But as of this morning it has unexpectedly changed to calculating & the Westpac bonus cashback has been rejected. I checked out with the approved code PLUSW22.

    • Mine also says calculating

    • +1

I'm also impacted by this, my cashback for this promo including bank bonus originally tracked successfully, and now this morning the bank bonus changed to $0.00 Rejected and the Shopback changed to "Calculating". No discount code used. No gift card used. Straight up purchase paid full price via "Buy It Now" paid directly using my Bank of Melbourne CC not Apple Pay.

    • +2

Adding onto list of users impacted, same as everyone else, tracked and now listed as calculating.

Something I haven't seen anyone else mention is that mine wasn't capped at $20, but tracked at ~$34 lol so I imagine that is why they are recalculating everyone who purchased under this promo as the criteria wasn't originally set.

    • Happened to me too.

  • +4

@gotyoutback, i think most, if not everyone, are impacted. Not just the people who mentioned.

    • Hey @superbass thanks for flagging this! We're definitely seeing this issue of Rejected and "Calculating" Cashback for some users, and our team is on the case. We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep you updated!

  • Glad I'm not the only one experiencing the rejected St.George cashback and Shopback portion now 'Calculating'
I almost shat myself when I opened up ShopBack this morning, then I saw this thread in the Live Feed

  • Got a reply from shopback, my cashback's rejection is final, becasue PLUSW22 is not listed. Now contacting seller to cancel the order.

    • That’s kinda dog from ShopBack
Those codes were clearly listed on the coupon page on ShopBack

      • I think ebay rejected all cashback using the code, so shopback has to pass on, becasue they wont receive any from ebay.

        • Wrong. I didn't use a code at all and was affected (as per the ShopBack and St George portion)

        • @couger I'm slightly confused here. I am also using PLUSW22 code.

For me, I have following issues (because I stacked 3 promos):
          1. St. George bank bonus is rejected (initially tracked)
          2. Ebay Cashback shows calculating (initially tracked).
          3. Ebay loyalty challenge ($3 per $100 bonus) that stacked with this deal disappear (initially showed completed 3/4 which equal to $9 bonus)

Did you get rejected for standard ebay cashback (10%) only for using PLUSW22 code? Did you stack with the other 2 promos (bank bonus and ebay loyalty challenge) as well? If yes what happened to them?

      • @BargainsGrabber @Empharand I also didn't use any codes on the 3 transactions and now rejected and showing zero

    • +1

Hopefully someone has a screenshot showing the codes on the app and can send it to you
Without a doubt in my mind I remember seeing it as one of the supported codes, I also replied to a commenter during the upsized cashback

      Paging @gotyourback

    • +2

Proof that PLUSW22 was advertised as an approved code for cashback:
      https://imgur.com/a/VbrbYBf

      • +1

        Yep, I saved it too

      • Amazing work @marquisite

@couger - Hopefully the CS rep you spoke to jumped the gun a little..
It's a little off-topic but I reached out because they didn't honour a challenge last week, went through the AI Chatbot prompts (which it asks for your name, email address, phone number etc) and I received a reply this morning that they were unable to find an account under those details…. My app says otherwise (and those details have never changed since the creation of my account). It seems there's a lapse with their training somewhere.

        • I just reply the email with above screenshot, worst scenario is I just returned the item using ebay plus return.

          • +1

@couger: If they offer it and don't fix it, it will effect trust in ShopBack's offers after this.
Never had a problem with this style of offer before on Shopback

          • @couger: The screenshot should definitely clarify things on their end.

I don't fully agree with your reasoning to return an item because ShopBack stuffed you around as the seller will see a negative impact for something like that (eg. They won't get what they paid for the shipping reimbursed as it has been 'Delivered' + the return will play a a part and affect their 'Service Metrics')…. you probably shouldn't have purchased the item if you were solely relying on the cashback, sounds like you bought it on a whim and not because you actually needed it.
For the sellers sake I hope ShopBack rectifies your issue. You do you though!

            • @Empharand: Without the cashback, there is better deals elsewhere. It is between i need and I want.

              • @couger: Like I said I really hope ShopBack rectifies the issue with your cashback so the seller doesn't cop the avoidable consequences of your 'Change of Mind'

            • @Empharand: Without the cashback + bonus cashback, the items were cheaper elsewhere. If it’s gets rejected, I’m just returning it also.

    • Hey Sorry about that! I believe there is a miscommunication between the Customer Service rep on the code advertised [PLUSW22]. Our team is working with the folks to sort things out. We'll keep you posted!

  • +3

Here's another screenshot showing the codes offered on Shopback:
    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/14594/112311/screensho…

The old gotyourback would 100% help us with this nonsense

    • @gotyourback Any updates from the team?
As you can see PLUSW22 was definitely listed for the 10% cashbac on th day…

      • No update at the moment, sorry about that. Will keep you updated!

  • I'm a bit over chasing these cashbacks and bonuses that should go through smoothly. I haven't been doing cashbacks and gift cards for long though.
Have shopped in store recently and haven't bothered with a few upsized cashbacks in case they don't track. It has been quite a time consuming experience dealing with ShopBack

    • can't agree more. haven't used shopback for ages and decided to try again over the weekend and it is exactly how it was before.. too much hassle.
