DISKAD (Rebranded Bosch Series 6/8) Integrated Dishwasher $319 ($287 IKEA Family Price) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ IKEA In-store Only

4110

Not sure if this is price error, but regular price wasn't $319 from vague memory. Google search shows as $1599.

Manufacturer number for this product is 23320, which is made by Bosch as per Ikea Belgium website.

Not sure about specific model, but Bosch only makes fully integrated dishwasher for series 6 and 8, which cost $1000 and up.

Deactivated user mentioned it's similar to Series 8 SMV88TX02A

tonester mentioned "IKEA integrated PROFFSIG and DISKAD are rebranded Series 6 and 8 respectively"

Judging by the measurements it appears to be the same model as this series 8:

    https://www.bosch-home.com.au/productlist/exclusives/SBT8ZD8…

    • either way. even at 6 series is a great bargain. Well done to those that scored one.

    • +1

Looks more like the series 6, controls are identical too.

      • Series 6 height is 815 to 875 but series 8 height is 865 to 925. Ikea version is equivalent to series 8. Either way excellent deal

        • +1

If you look closer (check booklets on the ikea link) the jet sprayers on the linked Bosch (both series 6 and 8) look different to what's on the IKEA model. Maybe a previous Bosch model?

Edit: Maybe not actually… hard to tell. Alright bed time.

        • So how to find out the model ? Need to unbox or IKEA staff can confirm before pickup?
Edit: I felt like series 6 old version, the controls look similar, but also chance series 8 by dimensions. So confusing. If series 6 I will return

          • @georgev:

I felt like series 6 old version, the controls look similar

i've never come across one with similar looking controls - which model?

    • I believe it's a series 8. As per Ikea listing, DISKAD has 'mineral drying' which is Bosch Zeolith technology. I’ve only seen this on top of the line series 8/siemens.

      • +1

drying, sensors, additional programme functions => similar to Bosch 8

tonester mentioned "IKEA integrated PROFFSIG and DISKAD are rebranded Series 6 and 8 respectively"

        • Awesome. Just curious how you know this info? Do you work for ikea?

          • @100humming: did you check link? compare specs - no :)

            • +1

@tonester: Yes I did. I know that it's Bosch as you mentioned. But that’s how I figured it's top of the line series 8, not just series 8.

Just thought you have extra intel.

Regular price is $319 so current discount is a 10% saving 🤣 best of luck to those who have successfully made a purchase!

    • +1

Yeah that's what in my mind not sure if they sell it for $319 for long. If the internal materials are as close as the series 6 or the asko, still good deal even at RRP.

Their box damaged was at the cracking price.

    • Regular price is $1599, its just on sale for $319 and then with the 10% family price reduced further, i think the website cant list 2 sale prices so it just lists 319 as the full one.

Will buy for $500 if anybody is willing to sell in Perth :)

I'll let you know, might not fit my space

    • Showing in stock for me at the moment (click & collect only).

      • it doesn't allow to place the order - "Delivery and pick-up services are currently unavailable"

  • Great deal. Been watching this one for a while so I’m sad to miss out on it. The one point of difference that I could find between the Ikea and Bosch is that the Bosch model will pop the door slightly open at the end of a cycle to help with the drying. Ikea one doesn’t AFAIK

    • Is it always at $319? Also, the control panel is not the same from the look.

      • Extra $200 for the control panel as accessory. :p

      • No, it was $1599 up until the last time I checked about 3 days ago. Not sure when it changed to this price but what a steal.

    • if your local store says "we expect it back on insert date" next to the sold out part on the website then there are more stock deliveries coming, just check every morning

  • Will this require cabinet frame as well to be purchased ?

    https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/metod-base-cabinet-frame-white-…

    • No. Just the door and handle.

      • Thx

  • Still nothing in WA - adds to cart but the just goes out of stock

  • I needed one for an integrated kitchen… damn got to spend $1200 for a Serie 4 Bosch now.

    • Try harder. Sometimes eBay's 200$ works out quite well from BL, TGG of AO eBay store.

As well, price changes across the sellers own online store depending on how desperate they need to move stock.

Similar money is quite close to a 6… Which is mad in Germany.

  • Said four available, signed up for IKEA family just to find out there's none

    • +8

There is an external display. It projects on the floor with a light. The buttons are on top and are hidden for aesthetic reasons.

    • +10

Never seen an integrated dishwasher before?

      • -2

What do you mean by "integrated" dishwasher? All dishwashers are "integrated" unless they stand alone.

        • +2

Not sure if trolling, but an integrated dishwasher is integrated into your kitchen cabinetry giving your kitchen a neater design. Not everyone finds appliances nice to look at; an integrated one hides it away.

          • -4

@eug: Ok, so by that same token, would you buy an "integrated oven" where the controls were located inside the oven and you had to open the door to access them? There's a reason nobody's done that.

            • @Mondorock: I'm not sure how much experience you have with ovens, but in case you're not aware, they are typically run at 170-200 degrees C.

Depending on what's in the oven you might have to check the internal temperature of the food as it cooks then make adjustments to the temperature or timer as you go along. Some recipes call for different temperatures or elements at different phases of cooking.

That means you might be adjusting the oven controls while using it, so it makes sense not to place them in a space that reaches 200 degrees C. You can avoid melting the buttons and display that way too.

I'm also not sure how much experience you have with dishwashers. In case you're not aware, they are not normally run at 170-200 degrees C so the controls can be placed inside without damage.

Typically people press the Start button on their dishwasher and leave it until it is done; it is not common practice to open the dishwasher every now and then to check the progress of the cleaning and make adjustments as it goes. That means once the cycle is started the controls are no longer needed so they can be placed inside.

So you're right, there is a reason nobody has put oven controls inside the oven - because an oven is really hot and buttons and screens will get damaged. Ovens also do get adjusted during use so it makes sense to ensure the buttons and knobs are not at 200 degrees C for the safety and convenience of the user.

              • +1

@eug: Our Bosch pyro oven goes up to 480 degrees c. Can you imagine putting your hands inside, you’ll be cooked.

              • @eug: Right, so you don't think a hot, wet, steamy environment like the inside of a dishwasher is going to be bad for the electronics/controls?

                • @Mondorock: Yup, I don't. Membrane controls are inherently protected against water as they're simply a continous sheet of plastic. This is nothing new, it has been done for decades.

Plastic melts in an oven though, so that method will not work in an oven.

                  • @eug: So tell me, how do you know the dishwasher is done without any kind of external display?

                    • +1

@Mondorock: You seem to have a lot of questions but not willing to even read the product description yourself.

If you had read the product description, you would know that the dishwasher projects relevant information on the floor in front of the machine.

    • Clearly you've never had kids at your place??? Kids love pressing the buttons. Integrated is godsend.

Also increases the value of a kitchen as not only the dishwasher itself is usually more expensive than non-integrated, but also the seemless look.

  • +2

pulled the trigger ozbargain style while i was half asleep as i did need a new dishwasher. been sent the click and collect email this morning.

after doing more research it looks like this version is the series 8 which is an even bigger win since i thought it was the series 6.

currently building a house and due to be completed in a few months so this is going to be an excellent addition to our kitchen theme.

    excellent find OP!

    • +1

Receiving a click and collect email is a great result, looks like the price must be legit and they will honour it

  • Still says a couple available but can't choose C&C??

    • Same

      • same same

  • +4

Just my luck.. Was searching for dishwashers last night and went to bed just before this deal was posted. Shows C&C available in Logan QLD and in Perth WA. I'm in Melbourne though.

    • Collected mine from Richmond tonight. They still have some on display, advertising the sale. They might be getting more or they might be happy to sell the display if discontinuing?

  • My local store is Logan - I can't click and collect on the website. Maybe it can be ordered from instore but sounds like a hassle when it might not work out.

    • +2

I just did this, I went in when the doors opened at Logan and placed an order successfully. Now waiting at the warehouse hoping it’s not phantom stock. My out of pocket cost is $273 after discounted gift cards so this is the deal of the century.

My dad bought a replacement hose for his Miele last week and it cost him $100. That’s him diagnosing and fixing it himself. So it’s a no brainer to buy a new machine with five years warranty at this price.

      Edit: stock was real

      • I was there this morning at 9am as well and managed to snag the last one apparantely. There was 2 available at the time but 1 had been booked out.

If you could let me know if you were able to pick up your successfully.

        • It was you two 😂😁

          • @Increase1: There was like 20-30 people outside Ikea waiting. I was wondering if everyone was there for the dishwasher but seemed some people just wanted breakfast and other things.

        • Yeah I did down at the warehouse.

  • Showing will be back in stock on 11 June in Melbourne

  • OP, you’re a deadset legend. Thanks for posting.

  • SA OOS :-(

  • +13

Time to put an even larger smile on the faces of those that bought one.

We have a commercial development running and using Ikea kitchens in all the rooms. Have built a great relationship with some of the managers. We were called this morning informing us that their warehouse is full of these dishwashers and that they need to offload them and are doing them at $287 a unit. Also makes me wonder if there is even more stock available, may come back in stock if they can't move enough in bulk.

So definitely not a pricing error and 100% legit!
Well done OP for finding it before Ikea managers could even get word out!

    • +1

Honestly amazing pricing. I wonder if they got caught out by supply chain delays and had a shipment clear customs. 4 weeks before EOFY isn't great timing!

or… the work experience kid was put in charge of procurement for a day and got excited.

    • Do you happen to know about any electric ovens on sale?

  • Perfect timing for me if there are more coming! Missed this deal though :(

    Fingers crossed!

    • refresh page every 5 minutes until it's removed from the website…

  • Hey all, I am in the process of installing an IKEA kitchen and I bought one of these dishwashers 4 months ago for $1599. Does anyone know if they do price adjustments and if not, does anyone who bought one and can't use it want to sell it in CBR or SYD area? For a small upcharge of course!

    • +1

Try online chat. a couple of posts on reddit suggest Australian have had success in getting a credit (gift cards) for the difference.
      https://www.ikea.com/au/en/customer-service/shopping-at-ikea…

Failing that, keep an eye on it, see if they come back in stock. Grab the discounted one, return the original. If it's the exact same product, buy, then wheel your trolley around to the returns section and return it with your $1599 invoice.

      • Lol! That's the plan :-)

        • +1

Would love to know if you manage to get a store credit for the price difference!

        • Just be careful with that plan at IKEA. They have date stamps on the items and if the date stamp is later than your receipt they might not refund your item. I've seen it happen to other people trying to refund items before.

  • Just came back in stock online. Got it delivered in VIC

  • Only in Marsden Park. All other stores out of stock

    • Only 1 in stock in store and no click and collect :-(

    • 1 in stock - likely gone by store roaming lurker

  • Does anyone know if IKEA installs this and how much it would cost? Or is it cheaper to get a handy man in

  • +1

I did a comparison on the ikea branded ones with bosch current model.
Proffsig has auto open. Diskad has zeolite drying. Both came out in yr 2020. DISKAD is touch panel. Proffsig is with button.

Some bosch model has auto open, some has zeolite, some has both.
The control panels looks different. Ikea control panel are more consistent with its own brand.
Ikea ones does not have wifi. Basket looks different aesthetically.

Not sure about where ikea ones has variohinge.

Both are good buys and still cheaper than current bosch series and many other brands.

  • Has anyone collected or had their order delivered yet?

    • not yet

      Preparing your order
We're working hard to get your order off the shelves. We'll send you a text message once it's ready to be collected.

      Today, 7 June 2024, 14:00—18:00

  • Just paid $1400 for a new dishwasher still in box, would've returned had this not been OOS at my local IKEA.

  • is this refundable if i have a change in mind?

    • i'll buy it off you if you have a change in mind ;)

    • I’ll take it off your hands

  • I wouldn't buy an intergrated dishwasher normally but at this price it's a bargain.

I should have picked up for my investment property. the existing dishwasher is about 10 years old, so may die at any time.

  • "We expect it back between 11 Jun. 2024 and 18 Jun. 2024"

Is this actually accurate or just a placeholder message and this model is getting discontinued and removed from their website eventually?

  • Damnit my Samsung is under 2yrs old but integrated Bosch for this price is amazing! Too bad out of stock in Perth

  • so for warranty do we go back ikea or go back to Bosch?

    • ikea

      • Thanks is this fiittabke into a sedan car?:(

        • +1

          please check for yourself

        • no chance it will fit in a sedan. Maybe you can drive it home with it hanging out of the boot… then you can watch yourself in year's to come on one of those instagram mashup clips where they have pictures of all the people who lose their load driving down the highway.

Most Ikea's have a car share arrangement with Popcar, GoGet or similar. Best bet is to register with one of these companies.
(if you've got a 2 hour drive home though, it's going to be a long day).

          • @braddsey: I have got a suv hope that can fits ..
How much IKEA charge for delivery ?

            • @samuraix29: It's $39 for me. I wonder if they'll charge a different rate if you went to the delivery counter there to arrange a delivery.

              • @eug: Was 39 online for me, they quoted 49 in case I couldn't load myself.

            • @samuraix29: Easy fit in my VW Tiguan just now. Take or get some stiff cardboard sheet and some type strong flat surface (like metal rail or trolley) and it is very easy to lever & slide into suv boot. Single person job with no heavy lifting. Took me less than 1 minute (after 5min to consider and think the safe and secure way to do it). Canberra store sold 30+, guy thought it was pretty amusing. Pay for delivery was an option if I couldn't manage it.
