DISKAD (Rebranded Bosch Series 6/8) Integrated Dishwasher $319 ($287 IKEA Family Price) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ IKEA In-store Only

4150

Not sure if this is price error, but regular price wasn't $319 from vague memory. Google search shows as $1599.

Manufacturer number for this product is 23320, which is made by Bosch as per Ikea Belgium website.

Not sure about specific model, but Bosch only makes fully integrated dishwasher for series 6 and 8, which cost $1000 and up.

Deactivated user mentioned it's similar to Series 8 SMV88TX02A

tonester mentioned "IKEA integrated PROFFSIG and DISKAD are rebranded Series 6 and 8 respectively"

Some great cooperation and assistance from ginger-gin with transfer of his order/purchase over to me - all worked out perfectly!
      Thanks mate!
      And great post, OP

        Thats the Ozbargin spirit

  • Does anyone know whether screw adjusting feet can be removed or what the real world minimum is? I know it is specd at 86.5 cm but I've got 85.5 cm height and would love to be able to fit this!

    • Can you remove flooring easily? It's pretty bang on and can't be reduced without maybe bending some metal.
The bottom is all plastic and the feet aren't even engaged at minimum.

      • Thanks Loracks, I can remove tiles but I'd say thats not enough. Will have to stick with my ordered black $999 series 6!

The top has a bit of leeway but not the whole way across, the left and right back corners are rigid, not quite the full height IIRC but close to it.

      • Thanks Nuggets, much appreciated

        • Did you manage to fit it in?

  • Chose to pick up this morning. But no message saying it is ready. No message saying it is cancelled.

  • Bought the last one year in Perth store, the lady called Canningvale warehouse to make sure the item exists.

    • So you are saying there is no stock left in Perth now even in warehouse?

      • That’s what that lady told me after checking her system and checking with the warehouse boy.

        • Damn, wonder if they will get more in : /

          • @DH: One other lady told me at first that this item is discontinued, then she said there’s more coming on the 16th, also said there’s none left.

The second lady which I bought from sounds more reliable, don’t know who to trust, hope they have more coming in.

        • As in there are no more physical dishwashers at the warehouse or there are dishwashers but they have been allocated/purchased pending delivery or collection?

          • +1

@gamemaster: There are others but allocated to existing orders, she said.

            • @tanned: Glad they aint giving mine away :)

  • +1

Also, for anyone who purchased without the member discount the warehouse people can refund the difference without a manager as it's less than $50.

  • 3.30pm and still waiting for the delivery truck…

    • +1

My delivery was rescheduled. No reason given. But according to the text message they are giving me “advanced notice” even though the delivery was due today and I have been waiting around for the delivery before the text message. Not good.

      • Mine got silent, no message, no update at 9.20 pm. Not looking good. Best wish.

        • 2 days after and still nothing

I just managed to fit mine under my counter. I bought this front panel for it. It's just a cupboard door with VAGLIG metal brackets included in a separate package.

You don't need the metal brackets that come with the cupboard door so you can actually just buy the door itself. All the attachment bits come with the dishwasher itself so you could DIY your own door if you wanted to.

This is a video showing the whole process. It's in Russian but you can follow along visually. You have to take some measurements and use the template that comes with the dishwasher to drill the holes in the right spots.

    • Is it possible to get a normal door for it?

      • Not that I can see, but it can be used as-is, it'll just look a little ugly. I suppose you could stick a sheet of something on the front of it to hide the door mounting slots. It does have a door handle built in as you can see in the video above.

The door springs are designed for the extra weight of a door though, so it'll want to close itself without one. You can just get some melamine from bunnings and DIY one yourself.

        • Does it still have all the controls at the top? Haven't looked at the video

  • Also keen to buy in Sydney if anybody has a change of of mind

Scalping has started. First one on Gumtree I see. Feel free to abuse the seller, hehehe. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ryde/dishwashers/diskad-inte…

      Send an offer $287 ;)

      • I did one better and replied, 'Is it still available?'. When the seller replied 'Yes'. I didn't reply back.

Oh, so you're just a normal Gumtree user then. :)

    • Unfortunately on Ozbargain classifed too

  • Has anyone managed to get one in-store after it's showing as in stock online but not for delivery/clickcollect? Wondering if the one that became available at Logan this morning briefly was actually valid and simply got snapped up by someone or was a IT glitch lol.

    • Apperently the website is delayed and the master system for Australia says no unallocated stock anywhere but there is still stock in transit to some stores but that will be final eg none after what is in transit already.

      • there is still stock in transit

Are these for existing orders to be delivered/collected or can still be bought like for example what I saw this morning?

        • Sounds like purchasable when they get to store/warehouse (based on Perth)

          • @DH: Damn if that's the case then I regret not getting up earlier today lol.

    • That's exactly how I got mine. I was in Richmond store Friday morning (for something else, as I'd seen the night before they were already out of stock) and while there happened to check online and saw it showed as in stock but not available for delivery/click and collect orders. Had to go to the counter to place the order and apparently was only 1 in stock.

  • Out of stock in NSW

  • So is the height fixed? No way to unscrew legs and put some rubber dampeners or something underneath instead? :(

  • +2

Yea no stock in any NSW store, I checked all stores by calling them to verify warehouse stock levels in each store. They keep saying no display stock, no store stock and no warehouse stock left, more might come in later this month but no guarantee.

  • Just received confirmation text on pickup.
Can anyone confirm if this can be transported/placed on its side (or back)? Not sure it would fit in my Outlander ‘standing’ - packaging dimension is 93cm height.
    Thanks

    • +1

There’s nothing specific that says you need it transport it in certain way. Just don’t drop it. There are foams around it to prevent damages.

  • +1

They sent docs of refund. They didn't even apologise. I remember Bunnings cancelled my order due to price error and sent me a gift card.

  • My brother met someone woohooing leaving ikea perth with their dishwasher after we picked up ours. He was collecting our chip pass from grilld. Shoud have had a grilld and ikea ozbargain meet up

  • If anyone in Sydney wants to cancel their order, PM me, I will take it. Thx.

  • does anyone else have issues with the door tension being too strong? Is there only solution to get a panel? Trying to explore some options before I buy one.

    • +1

Mine was too strong too before I mounted the door. It's really designed to work with a door. The door slides up and down as you open it too.

All the mounting bits comes with the dishwasher so you really just need a piece of wood to suit.

  • Back in stock in WA!

    • The Perth store has been showing stock for the past two days, not sure if it's accurate?

      • I tried to buy it yesterday, showed "Sold out"

  • Measurements has minimum height installation 86.5cm
If benchtop is measuring exact 86.5cm, would it be a struggle to get this fitted in?

    • Mine is spot on 86.5cm and it slid in easily.

  • Wouldn't fit my kitchen pm me if interested in camden nsw

  • Any Melburnians looking to sell their unwanted orders? Thanks!

  • Anyone want to sell? Happy to pay 500

    • Where are you located? I just pulled out the old DW and the space might not be big enough.
Mine is at Marsden Park NSW ready to be collected today. I'm happy to pick up and try, but if someone else is sure about sizing wouldn't mind selling either.

      • Thanks, luckily was already able to get one today.

  • when I measure my benchtop height it comes as 85.5cm..any chance I am doing it wrong?

( local Ijea says they are getting some stock this Thursday, hoping to grab one, if it fits).

  • Ive read the thread. I was actively looking for a dishwasher. This one is too tall for my kitchen. I will likely renovate but not for a few years due to funds etc. My understanding is i still can use it as a free standing in the interm. I was thinking a peice of wood at the top and buying a door for the front as the weight of the door staying open to load.

Is this correct? I have a small kitchen and planning to run a long hose.

    • The user manual of this one specifically mentions using it as a freestanding unit: you must attach it to a wall or it may tip forward when you open it.
Extending the hoses might be not so easy too, especially the drinking water one.

      • Thank you so much. I have a plumber neighbour and my family who's a plumber is visiting from overseas so hopefully help a girl out. If I can't get it working a friend of friend wanted one. Fingers crossed.

      • How does this attach to the wall? If you have cabinetry on each side? Is this an option? As I’m not sure how you’d get to the back of it to attach anything?

I called IKEA and got a purchase order setup for pick up in store being assured it was put aside. The muppets at the store didn't put it aside and sold it on the floor to someone else. Store staff said some one came in store and bought 10x.

    look at this joker:-

Anyways, to the scalpers in Brisbane, well played! If you're willing to sell off, happy to pay $400. PM me.

    • +1

If someone gave you a Ferrari half-price, wouldn't you also try sell it at or just below market value?

Then again there are those that buy 10. Business is business I guess, if Apple can do it…

      • Yeh I get it, scalpers gotta do what they gotta do.

I'm just pretty sour about the whole purchase experience. Being told it's been put aside for me and walking in with a purchase order just to be told it's been sold was a bit of a kick in the teeth. IKEA store support is just abysmal. You can't call the store direct, there was no way to pay for it upfront because it was store stock etc.

Driving 45mins to IKEA on a Friday night after work for no reason is not what I'd define as fun.

        • I almost did the same. Their system is shocking. What kind of shop doesn't have a phone…

          • @Increase1: If you could call up and pay for it on the phone, their phone lines would be innundated. Just look at how much interest there is. The first 100 or however many people would get their dishwasher and you'd miss out anyway.

They would then have to repeat themselves to the next 2,000 callers saying it's not available, stock might come in next week…. then the next week prepare for another 2,000 calls to come in.

They could hire a team to handle the calls, then after everyone has gotten their dishwasher (or not) the calls drop to 50 a day and now they have a team doing nothing.

I can definitely understand why they would push everything online on in-store only.

      • +4

If someone gave you a Ferrari half-price, wouldn't you also try sell it at or just below market value?

I think that's missing some nuance.

Let's say your 15 year old Camry is about to die and you need a new car. Tesla decides to sell their last 50 Model Ys for $20,000.

You go to the showroom but the person in front of you who doesn't need a new car bought the last 3 just to make some spare money on the side.

Meanwhile you, who actually have a need for the car, end up having to pay double or more.

Scalping annoys people because while they're totally within their rights to buy and resell, they're "taking away from the poor" to enrich themselves.

        • -1

I don't really think the context you added changed anything to be honest. If you need a car, go buy one at market price, or stick within your means (if you are "poor") and buy something used.

The guy before you had the capital (let's say he's "rich") to treat a retail purchase as a wholesale purchase. The ability for him to resell is a natural by-product of the free-market. In the end of the day, the business sold what they wanted to sell, at the price they wanted to sell it at - and chose not to care who they sold it to. And so, if business doesn't care who you are and what you have, it's well within the right of the scalper to not care when they do the same.

          • +2

            @Increase1:

If you need a car, go buy one at market price, or stick within your means (if you are "poor") and buy something used.

The point is there was an opportunity for you to buy a new higher-end item for the price of an old used item, but you weren't able to because someone who didn't need the item decided to make some extra cash for themselves.

And so, if business doesn't care who you are and what you have, it's well within the right of the scalper to not care when they do the same.

Yes, that is exactly what I said in my last reply - they're totally within their rights to buy and resell at whatever price.

But people get annoyed at scalpers because someone who has a genuine need for a product is unable to purchase it at a bargain price because someone else (who's not a business; it could even be their neighbour) decides to enrich themselves instead. It's a case of the poor getting poorer and the rich getting richer.

            • @eug: It would be "taking away from the poor" if the poor had no other option. Taking an option away from the poor, who want to act rich, is just part of the capitalist system. Supply, demand and capital will always win.

And who gets richer than all of us? IKEA - who we are all choosing to buy from and enrich, including the poor and the rich among us.

              • @Increase1: I don't think it's just the customer who looses here, the business looses as well cause by selling 20 model Y they could have gained 20 more loyal customers instead they get none. This has been seen in the past in case of concert tickets, I think it was Taylor Swift who was not happy cause her fans were paying higher price for a ticket than what they were because the scalpers were hoarding all the tickets.
The issue is that she's doing the performance but someone else gets to profit from it without putting much of an effort into it. So she's loosing out and her customers are loosing out which is a net negative result for her.

                • +1

@UcantCme: If the business cared, or it was important enough for them monetarily, they'd limit purchases. They have the capacity to do that.

                  • @Increase1: I agree with that, there have been cases where the business cared like with the baby formula shortage issue a few years back and they took steps to stop it but like in case of the PS5's they couldn't stop it even if they wanted to. However, nothing illegal in this just a bit annoying for the customers who were in need of the thing thought they could save a quick buck in the purchase only to be disappointed.

                    • @UcantCme: What can you do… I'm one of those people who needs a dishwasher and wanted to save a quick buck on a good model. I accepted my fate hah

              • @Increase1:

It would be "taking away from the poor" if the poor had no other option.

If we're intent on splitting hairs, I meant taking away the ability to purchase a higher-end product for less than the price of an entry-level product.

Taking an option away from the poor, who want to act rich, is just part of the capitalist system.

If it was a designer good, "act rich" would make sense.

But this is a dishwasher that nobody can see.

It might work more efficiently, last longer, and have a 2.5x longer warranty than a $450 Esatto dishwasher, saving even more money in the long run.

And who gets richer than all of us? IKEA

That is why I specifically said "who's not a business" in my previous reply. We're only talking about the average person on the street who uses a dishwasher at home.

                • -1

@eug: Disagree on a few points, but the argument is done now. In the end of the day, what I'm saying is a reality and can't be stopped. I'd go as far as saying it's human nature to, in a capitalist system, join in - as you should. Don't waste your time being the hero, if you can't stop the villain.

                  • +1

@Increase1: I think you're missing my point. I never said it can be stopped, or that isn't human nature.

What I'm pointing out is not everything humans do is positive. All I was explaining was why people dislike scalpers.

Don't waste your time being the hero, if you can't stop the villain.

If everyone only thought of themselves all the time, the world would be worse off.

Fortunately as you can see in a number of posts in this deal, there are people who could have easily made a few hundred bucks but decided to let someone else in the community have the deal instead.

                    • @eug: I'd say you may have a point about that. I definitely believe you shouldn't use everyone around you as stepping stones.

On one hand, you'd be a very lucky scalper to have bought 10 of these things (I wouldn't throw shade on a random schoolkid filling his parents garage to make a quick buck) - on the other, if there was such a low amount of stock, it's not really the best thing to scalp considering you're removing opportunity on every purchase.

Without seeing the numbers it would be hard to tell if the people letting others get the deal are really making a meaningful difference. Still, you might be right… I'm conflicted.

            • @eug: How do you know the scalper is not poor and unemployed and was able to get through another week by recognising this arbitrage opportunity and putting in the effort it took to make it happen? Pretty sure not all scalpers are well off and selling things on market place/ gumtree etc. Is likely unattractive to people who have plenty of money or income.

              • +3

@skysurfer: Pretty sure buying 10x dishwashers in bulk and having the storage space for them till they're sold means they've got fair bit of disposable capital to afford that. I don't consider myself poor but I still don't have $3000 sitting around to pounce on an opportunity if it presents itself at a moments notice.

                • @UcantCme: If I'm honest, spending $3K on dishwashers and storing them in your garage instead of your cars, sounds a bit like something someone who isn't well off would do. Many richer people simply don't give enough shits to waste their time and space.

                  • +1

@Increase1: Yep agree with you, but they're probably not rich with a mansion and a car collection but they're not poor either who are going week to week. It's just some average bloke like me and you who's figured out a business opportunity. Nothing wrong with that in that sense I guess.

                • @UcantCme: Why are you pretty sure? They could put it on a credit card and cross their fingers they can offload them in time to pay it back. Or borrow from a friend or family member. Even if they have 3k to their name that would make them poor especially if they have dependents. And what makes someone rich in your book because they have a garage, or a mate with a garage or any number of storage scenarios? Your mind is stuck in your own narrow contexts bro and you're judging others by them.

              • @skysurfer:

How do you know the scalper is not poor and unemployed and was able to get through another week by recognising this arbitrage opportunity and putting in the effort it took to make it happen?

It's easy to come up with hypotheticals. I could also say "How do you know the scalper, who lives in Kenmore, is not making a comfortable living and just decided to make an $800 profit with an hour's work"?

Pretty sure not all scalpers are well off and selling things on market place/ gumtree etc.

                Sure. But some are.

                • @eug: Not scalpers but defined as broden in this case. Imagining some proactive users become brodens, not many typical ozbers would have a chance getting a genuine bargain. This site would be fading.
                  https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/broden

                • @eug: Buying and selling 10 dishwashers is not an hours work. It's a LOT more and would likely work out at an unacceptable hourly rate for somebody well off.

Showing as in stock at IKEA Springvale for those in Melbourne. In store only no click and collect

    • I am there now waiting for store to open, so many people to fight against

      • Paid and waiting for pickup now

      • How crazy was it at the store? Did everyone there manage to get one?

        • Most people who were there at 10 am got one. The website said it sold out at 10:17. I heard some cheering from the first person got one

      • +3

I was third in line at one of the entrance this morning. Full of Ozbargain people. I had a nice chat with some. ~46 stock was released around 5 am this morning. By the time I got there, 29 left - they had tried to fulfill some click-and-collect prior to the store opening. It was sold out at 10:17 am. I think more stock will become available in the next few days. Staff said they probably wouldn't allow click-and-collect since it's so popular.

A lesson that I learned this morning was to arrive early and use a self-service kiosk to book one. You do not have to wait until the store opens because sometimes the kiosks are at the entrance, and they open that area earlier than the main store. Once you book at the kiosk, it will be taken out of the inventory, and it's yours. You then have plenty of time to pay for it at the checkout.

I found this installation animation video, could be use as a reference

        • +1

You can actually booked one at 7am when online chat opens

        • Any idea when the self serve checkout open?
