Welcome to the ultimate guide of Netflix subscriptions

Updates:

  • 27/06/23 2pm – Turkish Lira have crashed even more, so I've corrected all prices in this guide!
    • Original deal post rates: Basic TL₺63.99 (~A$4.06), Standard TL₺97.99 (~A$6.22), Premium TL₺130.99 (~A$8.31)
  • 07/07/23 2am – Updated FAQ section to include all error codes as a result of the 30-day local restriction lockout.
  • 08/07/23 11pm – Updated Instructions section to include a new sign up method via OlduBil's Turkish Virtual Mastercard (Instructions – Method #2), with screenshots (tested and confirmed). I'll be drafting another set of instructions to separate Method #1 (Part 2) as another sign up method via a Turkey phone number. Stay tuned!

You probably know by now - if I make a guide, best believe it's going to be good and better than the previous one. Please show some love and any comments, concerns, suggestions or feedback are welcome :)

This new guide has now been updated to include:

  • problems related to new subscriber sign-ups to Netflix Turkey. Please read the FAQ section for further clarification.
  • new statistics in regards to pricing
  • screenshots at each necessary step of the sign up process (yes, I unnecessaily spent a chunk of money to test the local region lockout and to obtain screenshots to better guide everyone through the sign up process! I hope this helps - please see Instructions Part 3 for these screenshots)

Note that due to a recent and continuing crash in the Turkish Lira currency, the TRY-AUD is hitting an all time low. All prices in this guide are current as of 27 June 2023.

Netflix Post History Notes
09/06/2023 - This post Netflix Region Lock
28/01/2023 Price Hike
22/10/2022 Price Hike
14/06/2022 Price Hike
01/10/2021

Similar to my last post, I'm resharing this guide after previous deal post expired due to Netflix imposing a lock region lock. Luckily, there are no more price hikes for now, after having the third price hike for Turkey within a 10 month period.

  • Turkey is no longer the cheapest country for a Netflix subscription on all tiers, after they increased prices multiple times (Example: Premium plan from TL₺54.99 to TL₺77.99 to TL₺93.99 to TL₺130.99 in a span of just over a year).
    • However, obtaining a Turkey-based Netflix Gift Card is extremely easy and effortless, making it the easiest and therefore cheapest country to sign up with.
  • Pakistan is the cheapest country for all Netflix plans, however, obtaining a Pakistan-based Netflix Gift Card to sign up is almost impossible, so avoid this path.
  • NEW!! Netflix Argentina is now ARS999 (A$6.10) for the Basic Plan and ARS2,399 (A$14.64) for the Premium Plan (in the last Netflix post, Argentina prices were ARS699 (A$4.27) for the Basic Plan and ARS1,899 (A$11.59) for the Premium Plan - that's a 42.9% and 26.3% increase, respectively). The Argentina Peso has dropped, but plans are still more expensive.

Please note: If you DO NOT have a Turkey number, please sign up via instructions Part 1 and then Part 3. Avoid doing Part 2

There are plenty of previous threads on users commenting their experience. Please read it if you are stuck. See here and here and here and here and here

Instructions – Method #1 (If you want Netflix to charge your Australian debit/credit card each month)

Please read the following instructions carefully.

Part 1 - Ensure you have your Australian mobile number and debit/credit card saved in your account

Complete either steps (a) or (b), depending on your current situation

a. If you currently have an Australian Netflix subscription:

  1. Make sure your Australian mobile number is saved and verified in your account. See this screenshot

  2. Make sure your current or new debit/credit card is saved and verified in your account. If your payment method is PayPal, remove this immediately and replace it will a debit/credit card.

  3. Once you’ve triple checked your mobile is added and verified, simply cancel your subscription and wait until the end of the renewal period (i.e. keep watching until the sub expires. Don’t let your sub go to waste since you’ve already paid for it). Once your subscription has expired, go to Part 2 or Part 3

b. If you DO NOT have a current Australian subscription:

  1. Sign up and subscribe to any Australian Netflix plan (preferably the lowest cost basic plan - don’t worry, you’ll get your money back). Do not use PayPal to sign up, it must be a debit/credit card.

  2. Once you’ve signed up, make sure your Australian mobile number is saved and verified in your account. See this screenshot

  3. Make sure your current or new debit/credit card is saved and verified in your account.

  4. Once you’ve triple checked your mobile is added and verified, go to Netflix Live Chat and tell them you “would like a full refund since you’ve changed your mind” - they usually don’t ask why but if they do make up some random excuse like “my sibling just signed up” or “you don’t want it anymore” etc. This should be a very fast step and take you only several minutes. The account cancellation will be effective immediately and the refund will arrive in a few hours or days

  5. Once your subscription has expired (should be immediate as you’ve cancelled it for a refund through live chat), go to Part 2 or Part 3

Part 2 - Signing up via Netflix Turkey (Direct Method - No Gift Cards - MOST LIKELY TO FAIL - AVOID)

Please ensure your subscription has completely ended/expired before starting Part 2. It has completely ended when you can no longer watch anything and Netflix asks you to resubscribe or restart your membership

  1. With VPN off, log into your Netflix account

  2. Activate a VPN service, turn it on and set it to Turkey (Istanbul is the largest city). There’s many free VPN’s if you don’t have a subscription to one. Here's a few great VPNs that work:

    Nord VPN: https://nordvpn.com/
    Express VPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/
    PureVPN: https://www.purevpn.com/
    Windscribe VPN: https://www.windscribe.com/
    ExpressVPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/

Note: Use chrome browser plugins for these VPNs where possible

Possible Problem: You use Windscribe VPN and set it to Turkey, but it defaults to one of the cities of Turkey that is not Istanbul.
Possible Solution: You want it to land in Istanbul, Turkey, so keep turning off and on the VPN until it lands in Istanbul. Confirm it’s Istanbul by refreshing this page: https://whatismyipaddress.com/

  3. Open Netflix on a new tab and proceed to Netflix to choose your plan:

    https://www.netflix.com/

  4. Proceed by adding your Australian credit/debit card as the backup payment method

Possibly working cards from: 28 Degrees, ANZ Rewards, Citibank Debit, Macquarie

Possible Problem: If it asks for a Turkish mobile number, you will have to find a working one so they can send you verification. AFAIK, there is no way bypassing this and you will need to sign up via Part 3

Part 3 - Signing up via Netflix Turkey (Using Gift Cards if Part 2 Fails) - EASIEST METHOD

Please ensure your subscription has completely ended/expired before signing up to this deal (i.e. when you can no longer watch anything and Netflix asks you to resubscribe or restart your membership)

  1. Purchase a Turkey Netflix Gift Card (any value is fine, even if it's not enough to cover the full month)

Note: Choose a reputable seller and make an account so you have a record of the purchases if anything goes wrong. I recommend Turgame (I've bought Turkey Apple GC's from there and they have fast delivery (at night time AEST), they charge the same price as the gift card value and the payment gateway fee is very low) or g2a

  2. Once you’ve received your gift card, it’s time to redeem your gift card and sign up to Netflix Turkey at the same time. Make sure from Part 1 that you have not logged out. You must stay logged in to your Australian account. If you’ve logged out, please log back in now with VPN turned off (Logging into your Australian account with a VPN on gives an error)

  3. Activate a VPN service, turn it on and set it to Turkey (Istanbul is the largest city). There’s many free VPN’s if you don’t have a subscription to one. Here's a few great VPNs that work:

    Nord VPN: https://nordvpn.com/ (recommended, paid)
    Urban VPN: https://www.urban-vpn.com/ (recommended, free)
    Windscribe VPN: https://www.windscribe.com/ (recommended, free)
    Express VPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/
    PureVPN: https://www.purevpn.com/

Note: Use chrome browser plugins for these VPNs where possible

Possible Problem 1: If you use Windscribe VPN and set it to Turkey, sometimes it defaults to random serves and therefore random cities of Turkey that will give you the wrong pricing (ideally, you want Istanbul). In this case, keep turning off and on the VPN until it switches to a different server/location. Confirm the location by refreshing this page: https://whatismyipaddress.com/. If this fails, change your VPN provider.

  4. With VPN on, open a new tab and go to the following Netflix site to redeem your gift card See this screenshot:

    https://www.netflix.com/tr-en/redeem

Possible Problem: On the plan selection page, the currency is not in Turkish Lira
Possible Solution: The problem is due to your VPN. Double check or change your VPN if needed

Possible Problem: When redeeming the Turkey Netflix Gift Card, it gives an error (code invalid, etc)
Possible Solution: The problem is due to your VPN. Double check or change your VPN if needed. If after several VPNs and this issue still occurs, try to reach out to your place of purchase due to them possibly issuing you an incorrect code

  5. Follow the prompts of the sign up process. This screenshot will show the first page after applying the gift card. Click "Next" to land on this page. Choose the plan you want, then click "Next" to land on the payment page in step 6

  6. Proceed by choosing a backup payment method. Be careful with this step and look at the screenshot!

  • If you did Part 1 instructions correctly then your payment method is already saved within your account - in this case, press "skip this step" at the bottom. On the next page, click "Next" (see screenshot). Now Netflix will want to confirm your details to make sure it is correct as per (this screenshot). Double check, tick the checkbox and start your membership!

  • Otherwise, if for some reason you haven't done Part 1 correctly or your debit/credit card has expired, you will have to add a new debit/credit card (see screenshot). Beward this may prompt you for a Turkey number verification (which I guarantee you don't have otherwise you would have done Part 2) - if this happens, please complete Part 1 again (see fix below)

Possible Problem: After entering your debit/credit card details, it asks for a Turkish mobile number
Possible Solution: Two causes for this. Cause (1): the problem is due to your VPN - Double check or change your VPN if needed, then go back to step 4. Cause (2): This is because you've entered a new debit/credit card. In this case, please click back on your browser and avoid entering a new card by pressing "skip this step" at the bottom. If this option does not appear, please restart Part 1 and ensure you save the card you wish to use as a backup payment.

Possible Problem: My debit/credit cards keep declining, and I'm unable to subscribe
Possible Solution: It's likely the problem is due to your VPN. Double check or change your VPN if needed and restart the whole process. However, if VPN is not the problem, you can continue to subscribe without a backup payment method (i.e. start your subscription with just the Gift Card you bought), and then afterwards you can contact live chat and tell them you need to update your payment method by asking them to send a payment form popup (this will allow you to add a credit/debit card and save it into the account). If the agent refuses or has no idea what you’re trying to say, end the chat and start a new one.

Note: If you bought a gift card that has a higher value than your selected plan, you’ve just used your gift card to pay for the first month, as well as partially for the second month. For the second month, Netflix will deduct the remaining of the gift card, and the remaining balance will come out of the credit/debit card you’ve inputted, and from thereon each month Netflix will keep charging your bank at those rates (be aware many banks like Commonwealth Bank have a small international transaction fee but this is only a few cents extra. Suncorp and Latitude Platinum have no international fees). Besides this, you should be saving >$100 AUD each year at least ($200 saving annually for the premium plan)

  1. You’re done! Turn off your VPN and enjoy your subscription :)

Instructions – Method #2 (If you want Netflix to charge your OlduBil Turkish Virtual Mastercard each month)

Turkey-based Virtual Mastercard Required! If you do not have a Turkey-based Virtual Mastercard, see how to get one here in the instructions section (Part 1 and Part 2). You can use it forever, with many deals to come!

Please ensure your subscription has completely ended/expired before signing up to this deal (i.e. when you can no longer watch anything and Netflix asks you to resubscribe or restart your membership).

  1. Log in to your Australian Netflix account, or sign up for an account. Make sure you log in with VPN turned off (logging into your Australian account with a VPN gives an error).

  2. Activate a VPN service, and set it to Turkey (Istanbul is the largest city). There’s many free VPN’s if you don’t have a subscription to one. Here's a few great VPNs that work:

    Nord VPN: https://nordvpn.com/ (recommended, paid)
    Urban VPN: https://www.urban-vpn.com/ (recommended, free)
    Windscribe VPN: https://www.windscribe.com/ (recommended, free)
    Express VPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/
    PureVPN: https://www.purevpn.com/

Note: Use chrome browser plugins for these VPNs, where possible.

Possible Problem: If you use Windscribe VPN and set it to Turkey, sometimes it defaults to random serves and therefore random cities of Turkey that will give you the wrong pricing (ideally, you want Istanbul). In this case, keep turning off and on the VPN until it switches to a different server/location. Confirm the location by refreshing this page: https://whatismyipaddress.com/. If this fails, change your VPN provider.

  3. With VPN on, refresh the main netflix webpage. Alternatively, go to this link:

    https://www.netflix.com/tr-en/

Possible Problem: On the plan selection page, the currency is not in Turkish Lira
Possible Solution: The problem is due to your VPN. Double check and/or change your VPN if needed

  4. Click on "Restart Membership" and follow the prompts of the sign up process. Click "Next and then select the plan you want. Click "Next"and then click "Credit or debit card". Enter your OlduBil Virtual Mastercard details, full name, tick the T&Cs declaration, and then click "Start Membership".

  5. At this stage you're done. Don’t enter anything on this page. Netflix will ask some random questions (just to set up your account). After that, your account will be complete, and you can enjoy your subscription!

FAQ

Q: I just signed up and when I go to watch something I get the following error: "Your account can't be used in this location"
A: It seems like every new sign-up to Netflix Turkey is subject to a local restriction lockout. This can take anywhere from as little as several days to 30 days. There are many reports from OzBargainers and others reporting this error disappears within 30 days. During this lockout restriction, you can still watch shows and movies, but you must use a Turkey VPN to do so (otherwise the error will pop up). Since this is only temporary, it shouldn't be a problem after 30 days or so, andthis small hassle is well worth the savings.

Q: Will I need to turn VPN on everytime I watch Netflix?
A: No! You no longer need to have VPN on every time you watch a show or movie. VPN is only required for sign up. After sign up, use Netflix without a VPN and you will have access to the Australian Netflix library.

Q: I want to watch a show/move from another region or country. Can I do this?
A: If you want to watch a show or movie that is region locked to another country, you can do so by setting your VPN on your phone, laptop or PC to that country to watch it. Yes, you will need a VPN for this

Q: I got charged a different rate compared to the prices on this post. What happened?
A: Due to foreign exchange rates constantly fluctuating, prices will differ by several cents each month

Q: I have an existing Netflix subscription, can I use the same email?
A: Definitely! See Part A

Q: My bank blocked my payment, what do I do?
A: Some banks block 1st attempt and then text to confirm it's you. Once you reply, 2nd attempt may work. If after several attempts it does not work, just go through the Gift Card method and avoid the pain

Q: How do I update to a new debit/credit card?
A: You can contact live chat and ask them to send a payment form popup (this will allow you to add a credit/debit card and save it into the account). If the agent refuses or has no idea what you’re trying to say, end the chat and start a new one.

Q: Is signing up to Netflix Turkey going to affect my Netflix library/catalogue?
A: After setting up this sub, you may or may not notice the Netflix catalogue may be weird with brand new shows, etc… It might not even change anything, but if it does change, your Netflix catalogue will adjust to what you’re watching and soon it will look like nothing ever happened

Q: GST/VAT and Tax related questions?
A: See here. Don't worry, there really isn't any tax you need to worry about.

I always trusted you mate. I think it came good for me after 6 pm which would be the same time as I signed up so 28 days to the exact hour. Maybe this is why some see 28 or 29 or 39 days - depends on their signup time and when they check

Updated Instructions section to include a new sign up method via OlduBil's Turkish Virtual Mastercard (Instructions – Method #2), with screenshots (tested and confirmed). I'll be drafting another set of instructions to separate Method #1 (Part 2) as another sign up method via a Turkey phone number. Stay tuned!**

    I have just done this. Like others, I am Region Locked. It did take some tinkering to get it to work however. Here was my process;

    1. Created a new Netflix Australia account and subscribed to the $6.95 basic plan with ads.
    2. Went on to live chat and got refunded / unsubscribed
    3. Purchased a Turkish Netflix voucher from G2A.com
    4. Now, this was the tricky bit - VPN. I have FastestVPN, the Turkish sever wasn't working. I tried Windscribe, didn't work. Finally got it to work with Hide.me. So used this VPN to go to the Turkish Netflix Redeem page, and activated the vouched purchased in Point 3.
    5. Card was already assigned from Point 1. It did initially throw up the add new card, then add Turkish Mobile, but from clicking back once or twice, it took me to the right screen as per initial instructions in this thread.
    6. Signed up for the 4K netflix, and away we went.
    7. As mentioned - I was region blocked immediately. Thankfully FastestVPN has a Amazon Fire TV app, so I was able to download that, login to my account, connect to Turkey and then use Netflix - and it worked well and was getting 4K/HDR fine. Unfortunately some movies / TV shows are unavailable in Turkey, compared to Aussie Netflix. Counting down until that Region block is lifted.

Thanks for this guide - got there in the end. Took me ~45 mins from start to finish.

    • +1

I had a similar experience that you saw on point 5) - I had to click back a few times to see the correct "skip" screen

  • +2

I have followed these instructions using Part 1 and 3 and using a gift card via G2A. When I attempt redemption of the gift card while connected to Istanbul via Urban VPN I get "An error occurred during gift redemption - please try again later" error. G2A confirmed my gift card code was valid and suggested that this was due to a Netflix 'cool down period' and that I should try again in 24 hours. Not sure if it being the weekend might be an issue, but I have tried again 2 days later and still get the same error. Any idea why this might be failing? ps Thanks very much for the guide, much appreciated. Cheers

    • Suggest you try a different VPN and make sure the URL ends in /tr-en
Ive redeemed 2 giftcards now and have another one to afd soon and had no problems. My cards from Turgame though.

Edit: just redeemed a third card. No issues. Need VPN to refeem though

      • Thanks for reply, will give that a shot.
I did try both /tr-en and /tr but issue may be with Urban VPN or G2A gift card. Might have to try Turgame and/or subscribe/cancel a new VPN…Cheers

        • +1

if you're logged into your account and select redeem a giftcard, check what the URL is - it's not a matter of trying tr-en or tr - the redeem screen will show whatever the VPN is returning country wise so it has to show the /tr-en in the URL for redeeming. I can tell you that Privado which is a couple of dollars a month works - you'll need a VPN to watch for the first month anyway.

          • +1

@DavidFW1960: Thanks very much, Ill give Privado a go. If the G2A card is the issue I guess Ill just have to wear that!

            • @scoothardly: @scoothardly try Windscribe VPN

              • +1

@I Smell Pennies: Cheers, I am just about to try it out…. and thanks so much for all your efforts!

              • @I Smell Pennies: I am really struggling to find a (free) VPN that works to redeem the gift code.
A week or so ago i could with windscribe go to a server in turkey and see the site in turkish but did not have the gift card at the time.
i now have the giftcard and yesterday tried at least 50 times to connect to the only windscribe turkey lygos server but always recognized in DE or GB.
Today the windscribe turkey server option is no longer available at all….

Tried also urban vpn but no luck there aswell…. i can go to the redeem page in TR-EN but then "an error occurred"

Did anyone recently (last 1-2 days) managed to redeem a gift card in Netflix turkey with a free vpn?

Thank you for posting this awesome deal!!! keep up the good work

                • @acantoni: Saw your post and since i had some credit with Eneba, had to try.
                  Bought 200 TL credit.
Turn on Urban to Turkey, left it on.
Then Windscribe to Turkey, like i did the my 1st time, error occurred.
Turn off Windscribe and back on, nothing.
Same 3rd time, beautiful "select recipient" page. I do not know why. Maybe it goes to Germany then to Turkey???

                  • @quipo: Really glad it worked for you!!!!

i tried again and after 10 captchas with urban vpn now i get the error "The code entered is not valid." which does not sound promising.

still no luck landing in Turkey with Windscribe

              • @I Smell Pennies: I finally had success today using Windscribe, although I had to use the 'Build A Plan' option for $3 US so I could access the Istanbul-Galata VPN. (The only Turkey option for Windscribe free was Lygos which would consistently land you at a Saudi Arabia VPN!) Using the Istanbul-Galata VPN option I was able to redeem my G2A gift card at first attempt and go on to sign up as per Step 3 instructions. I will just need to remember to cancel my Windscribe - Build A Plan subscription before the next monthly billing cycle! Thanks again, Cheers

    • Having the same issues as yourself :(

      • Good luck!

        • Please let me know when you have found a solution, or else i donated a few dollars for a gift card i cant use :S

  • Signed up on 10/6 and can also confirm that Netflix works without VPN on day 29
    Thanks for the guide ISP

  • Thank you so much for your amazing post! 2 weeks ago, I finally got out of my comfort zone and followed your instructions to the tee and everything worked perfectly.

Then on day 12 of waiting for the lock to lift, I got a fraud charge on my card and the issuer cancelled my card and reissued a new one. Gah! Anyways, I followed the instructions to update payment details as well, even got a really helpful agent who popped up the form without any questions, but the agent advised that the card was declined. Error he sent was: "There seems to have been an issue when processing your payment. We do not know exactly why the charge can't be processed, but you can try again with a different payment method, such as a credit or debit card." I tried three different cards (2 credits and 1 debit) and they all failed! (I even paid a bill in advance to make sure the card was working and that went through instantly, but of course! LOL)

I found a comment from Japius who helpfully shared his Turkish temp number generator but despite trying a few numbers, signing out and in again, on incognito, VPN/no VPN, etc. I kept facing the error "Sorry, but something went wrong. Please try again later."

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Also, as one of the variables, I had a not-so-brilliant thought that maybe I had to delete the existing card but nope. So now I have zero back up payment method as well. Doh!

I may have to create a new email and a new account!

    • maybe just use giftcards?

    • Cancel your subscription, wait for the billing period to end, and then redo everything from Part 1 to Part 3. Sorry to hear about the troubles.

      • Echoing DavidFW1960 would I be able to use AU gift cards or even continue buying turgame gift cards?

No apologies, you're awesome! I may end up creating a new email, signing up again and restarting my 30 day wait! Despite spending money on the original gift card, this will save me heaps in the long run!

Can't use AU gift cards but can continue to use turkish. I have used 3 200TL ones from turgame so far - they just bank up as usual

    • +1

Also a thought - your bank should see the failed validation attempts with the new card and then unblock it for you so you can try again…

      • +1

There's a reason the bank blocked it. Most likely due to the purchase being made in Turkey.

@Maybe worth giving the bank a call and say you are trying to make a purchase from Turkey and specifically tell them not to block it.

Thanks for the idea! Let me give it another go and I'll report back.

  • Does Argentina have the same region lock? A few extra bucks might save the hassle of putting VPNs on kids tablets and making sure they don’t muck with it too much.

    • +1

You only need vpn for the first 30 days, then no longer needed after that. No region lock with Argentina but it costs a lot more

Thanks @I Smell Pennies for this awesome guide! Happy to report my geo-block was lifted today on the 2️⃣9️⃣th day! 😍

Sweet 28th day and region lock lifted, so cheap. Just have to update my cc for next month via chat and I'm set for 2 years or until netflix changes it.

    • +1

      Good to hear!

    • Ah yes, only had to wait 4.1 million seconds. No worries, enjoy :)

    • 48 days?

      • 4 weeks from the time of registering for Netflix Turkey.

  • If we have Turkish cc do we need a Turkish phone number?

    • Nope, it doesn’t actually ask for one

    hi guys

first things first thank you for this post ISP very helpful and grateful.

i have done the method 2 using oldubil.

I am at the very last step.

    netflix asks

    "Let's confirm your account

To start your membership, we’ll send you a text message with a one-time code to confirm your account. Message and data rates may apply.

    +90 Mobile phone number

    Mobile phone number is required

    TEXT ME"

what do I do from here?

    cheers

    • +1

just an update i tried the method 2 again today and it still asked me a mobile phone number to send a text message with a one-time code. I used the pingme app as suggested from page 1 from apple app store and paid US2.99 for 1 code. and it did worked. I am now able to access it. now waiting for my region locked to be lifted. thank you again ISP and to the community. can i shout you a coffee ISP?

      cheers

    thank you @I Smell Pennies

i signed up on 13th of June and the geo restriction is lifted today 12th of July!

  • Can the person who reported this deal as expired please make a comment or PM me and I will help you. This morning I helped another OzBargainer sign up with their credentials and they were very happy.

There's nothing wrong with this deal, it still works, prices are still the same, nothing is expired. Thanks.

    • i think it was me 🤦

      dunno how to cancel it…

EDIT: nope sorry, it was reported 1.5 hour ago, wasnt me…

Thank you so much @I Smell Pennies

NZ cheapies member here who has been trawling your guides over the last few days! I've got Youtube and Google sorted thanks to your guides and planning to do Netflix once our existing subscription runs out. I just wondered if I can chose the basic plan for the month I'll be locked out and then upgrade to one of the other subs or whether I should pay the higher sub from the get go rather than risk another 30 day lockout?

    • +1

It won't make any difference and you can change plan as you choose without lockout

    • +1

      Enjoy :)

can anyone confirm if can i use the turgame netflix gift card and obdubil virtual mastercard together? currently my netflix is billed under obdubil but wanted to redeem turgame netflix gift card as well as transferring money to obdubil is $6 per transaction.

    Cheers

  • Not sure but I'm on day 32 and still region locked…

    • was this a new account or existing?

      • Existing account

has anyone asked about the family plan on this Netflix Turkey account? how much is it? thanks

    • All the plan prices are already in the description with both TL and AU currency.

      • you sure? as i can't see the price for adding a family member plan there. Can you point me at the right direction.

        • Netflix Monthly: Basic TL₺63.99 (~A$3.66), Standard TL₺97.99 (~A$5.60), Premium TL₺130.99 (~A$7.49) @ Netflix (Turkey VPN)
          Premium=family=4 UHD streams

          • @DavidFW1960: so you can share your details to family members on different households when you are on the premium account? I thought they should have a separate log in and attached to the main account in order for this to work on different households?

            • @angelkulit025: there is no paid sharing for Turkey so no extra logins. so yeah just like in Aus before they blocked sharing you just share your login details with them

  • Seems like exisiting account using this method also will suffer regional lock S7111-5095 (at least in my case)

    • as reported and experienced by everyone in this thread. see also the FAQ

    • You can literally ctrl+f 'S7111' and find the solution lol

    • ah I see, thought it only happened for "new" account, not "existing then re-signing up". No worries, hope it passes soon!

  • I stream Netflix through my Apple TV.
With the Turkey region lock, how would I be able to watch through my TV if my internet is modem is not set to VPN?

    • Set the VPN up on your Apple TV.

      • There is no VPN app for ATV. You're pretty much screwed and will need to use another device. I used a CCwGTV while I was locked

        • I've used PfSense and then setup destination based routing to Turkey tunnel

          • @intra: @intra I have PfSense and for the life of me, I haven't been able to configure this so that only one host gets routed to Turkey . would you mind sharing how you configured this? Thanks

            • @howdydood: There are two options, 1 is to route Netflix subnets to VPN GW - more complex and requires going through logs to see Netflix IP addresses. 2nd is to route traffic from source IP to VPN - easy, just create FW rule where source is your IP or Alias that contains source IP, destination is any, then go into that rule, click advanced, in Gateway specify gateway you created for your wireguard connection

            • +1

@howdydood: Make sure you have outbound NAT defined for your LAN subnet,( Interface should be your VPN interface, source your LAN subnet )

  • I need to update my payment method but the agent refuses to update it. Keeps saying you need to receive a text from Turkey lol

I have been using this method for last 3 years but card expired.
